Hello 2013, Good Bye 2012!

Alhamdullilah, we had passed another year and now entering new year 2013. Hope its not too late to wish Happy New Year. Another year to look forward to and how about New Year's resolution? Well, its been years since I've made resolution. Let's make it as daily pledge, cause you never know this maybe your last day in this world. Wallahu'alam.

Twenty twelve certainly holds many memories; good and bad ones. But these three are the significant ones that I can recall.

My first born Nazif, started his pre-school. So, it comes with many 'first' memories. First sports day, first school trips, little ihtifal, school holidays and many more.

Then ,we had our first family trip oversea to Perth. Alhamdullilah for the rezeki to be able to feel and appreciate Allah's creation in another part of the world. And before the year ends we also managed to go to JB and Singapore for holidays.

Thirdly, this year marks our tenth year of wedding anniversary. This is the greatest gift that I'm most thankful for. Allah has blessed us with this relationship and I hope its going to last until our time comes and until hereafter.

And twenty thirteen, I hope there are more good things to come.

Today is another significant date 12-12-12...and in less than one day, me and hubs will be having our wedding anniversary..and its our 10th Year..Alhamdullilah.

Well, actually there's a lot been happening and let me just summarized.

Ok on my first born Nazif Irfan, Alhamdullilah he finally completed his first year of preschool. So next year he'll be continuing his preschool at the same place. We were truly thankful on his achievement, we never set any target for his first year at the preschool, let him go with the flow. He's more independent now I might say.

Ok..what about the other little fella? Naqib Imran Alhamdullilah is also doing well. Still very much attached to me, finally wean off from miss B on his birthday. He's catching up on the speech side, thankfully, and has started on the 'terrible two' phase which I prefer calling as 'trying and testing' phase. But he still very much my little baby and very manja one too..

Perth Trip - Last Part

Today is our last day in Perth.

First agenda of the day, its the Western Australia Museum. Its school holiday in Perth and they were having special theme for the children, DINOSAUR! The entrance fee was free, so of course we have to go!

This also marked the children's first time to the museum. In my opinion, it was great! It was definitely very child-friendly, Nazif and Naqib had lots of activities to do. Well except when it comes to the animal exhibition, both of them were scared looking at the real-sized animals.

Next, we decided to go for a ferry ride! We took a ferry operated under Transperth to South Perth. The journey was about 15 mins. And as other public transport in Perth, the ferry was also child-friendly, they had special area for parents with youngs who usually brought stollers.

At South Perth, we just let the children run freely at the park. It was noon by the time we took the ferry back to Perth CBD.

By this time we were very very hungry! So it was a race to find to the halal eateries that we already planned to. We finally found Insan's Cafe, after going through back and forth along the Murray Street. Maybe due to low sugar we did'nt find it at first.

After lunch, we continued with more souvenir shopping and sight seeing along the Hay and Murray Street Mall area. Then took our last bus ride back to the hotel. That night we were busy with packing our luggage cause by at 3.a.m the Airport Connect Bus will fetch us to the airport.

And basically that's the end of our Perth story. Alhamdullilah we finally back, safe and sound in Malaysia on Friday afternoon.

He's TWO!

Alhamdulilah, on 3rd September 2012, Naqib Imran the cheeky boy of mine turns two years!

Truly your are the rainbow in our life! Mummy berdoa anak Mummy membesar sebagai anak yang soleh, diberi kesihatan yang baik, di anugerah budi pekerti yang terpuji dan minda yang cergas. Untuk menjadikan semua itu, first of all must come from Mummy and Daddy with the help of Allah Taala. And yes, we are proud to have you dear son in our life and we thank Allah for these great gifts.

The next major milestone now is to wean you off from BF. Its challenging no doubt but I hope this is the right decision I've made. Muga dipermudahkan, Amin.

Perth Trip Part 4

Continuation from my last post...which was way back in August.

On the fourth day, we started with King's Park before by sending off our rental car at Alamo Car Rental. We didn't stay long there as it was windy and cold! Had a stroll at the park and camwhoring!

After that, we send off the rental car.
And from there we just crossed the street to Harbour Town Outlet! Its shopping time!

Info: Most of the brands at the outlet are Australian brand which most of may not be very familiar of except for Pumpkin Patch and Cotton On. Bought the boys baju raya at Pumpkin Patch at very reasonable price. For lunch we had Ispa Kebab the halal food available at the outlet. And for solat,there's a Prayer Room located in the Customer Service Office, complete with Wudhu' area.

Finishing off the day, we had leisure walk around Perth CBD ( with buses laa)..bought another round of Ispa Kebab because we were hungry again. The end of day 4.

Aidil Fitri 2012

This year we celebrated at my turn's side in Seremban for the first day raya. We had quite a long raya holiday, cuti paksa by the company..so memang puasla beraya.

Perth Trip Part 3

Perth Day 3
Today we plan to go further down to Mandurah for sight seeing.

We also had our lunch here, again picnic style. The kids had fun roaming freely at the playground.

Then after lunch, hubby decided to drive to Araluen Botanic Park. Thanks to GPS, we had no trouble finding the right place. However there's not so much flowers booming since its winter. But still the scenery was breathtaking. Not many people at the park, its like we have the whole park to ourselves.

We didn't stay long there and we decided to try our luck with Waterwheel Persimmon Farm. But sadly, its closed. Lastly we headed back to Perth but had a pitstop at Fremantle again. This time we went to Target and Coles , the latter for grocery shopping.

And then, its time to go back to the hotel!

Perth Trip Part 2

Ok continued from my previous post, after Cicerellos we walked around Fremantle and then later shopped at E-Shed for souvenirs. First day dah shop for souvenir? Well its because it was Sunday and E-Shed market were open from Friday to Sunday only, and that's why. Hehe..

After that, we headed back to Perth CBD since it was getting dark. And that's the end of day 1. We retired very early that night cause we've been up very early and the children are getting tired. In fact Naqib went to sleep right after we boarded the Transpert train..sampai tak sempat nak tukar baju semua dah.

Day 2
After breakfast, we took the bus to the car rental office. Hubby already booked a car for two days. Today's agenda would be the Caversham Wildlife Park located at Whiteman Park.

We really had fun here and the children especially. For lunch, we had a picnic at the farm and it was such an experience..so leisure and serene..mmg bestla.

We headed out from the wildlife park quite late in the afternoon. Before the sunset, we stopped by at Margaret River Chocolate Factory for free chocolate tasting!

Perth Trip

Alhamdullilah, with His rezeki we finally landed our little family for a family vacation to Perth. I'll just go through very brief on our itenerary but with loads of pictures..hehehe..

Departure Night - 7 July 2012

We departed for Perth with AirAsiaX on 7th July and landed in the wee hours of morning. After going through the immigration and custom check ( Alhamdulilah we passed through without luggage checking), we performed our solat at the airport before we got to the hotel.

We stayed at Sullivans Hotel which was located at Mountsbay Road. The staff were very friendly and we managed to get early check-in ( 2 hours early)as what was requested during booking. But just before our rooms were ready, we had our first sight seeing near the hotel compound. Once we got our room, we freshen ourselves and got ourselves to our first destination, Fremantle.

We went to Fremantle by taking the train. By the time we arrived, we straight away looked for Cicerellos for our lunch. Dah kebulur time tu, plus with the cold and windy weather lagilah. We had fish and chip set and seafood set which were abundance! ( So tapaued the F&C as our dinner).

Oh dear, had to stop for the time being. Will continue later.

Nazif's 4th Birthday

We just had a small do at my parents home.

Nazif dear,

Brotherly time

Naqib

Naqib has turned 21 Months 'young' last weekend. He just had his second haircut last weekend which makes him resembles more like Nazif.

He finally called me 'Ma'. Sometimes melatah 'Ya Allah', in his own dialect. Does not talk much but screams a lot!

This handsome boy has already 100% diaper free. He finally passed the 'big business' part in the toilet and being diaperless during night time. Alhamdulillah. In two weeks time, he's going to be FOUR! Masya-Allah, its true time really flies when you are having fun!

School Holiday

This school holiday we didn't do much. We're 'saving' for our family vacation Insya-Allah this coming July. But we did go to JB last weekend for a getaway for the sake of Nazif school holiday. He's been asking us to take him to 'mandi kolam' and 'tido kat hotel' since..forever! But its good for Mummy too, being away from our little comform zone once in a while.

Its also sort of practice for us the parents to prepare ourselves on handling these two boys for our vacation later.

Naqib Turns 20 Months

Fuh...fuh..its been errr..more than a month that I lacked on writing entries. Seriously its been a writer's block plus being extremely busy for the past months.

Ok, today is another monthly birthday for my sweet little boy. Altho Mummy really felt guilty in not updating your last month's birthday.

Now..i already started to get writers block....

Right, getting into 20th month, physically I can feel you getting heavier...hahaha..you are very good in jumping, running..these are all because you have your big brother as the 'guru'. You are now expert in climbing the staircase and semi expert in coming down cause you if on your own you will sit on the staircase while coming down. Truthfully, both of you and your brother now are really testing my physical fitness especially went all of us went out on outing.

On speechwise you already started counting 1,2,5,10..well those are the sounds that I can capture. There are some words, like tumpah, tekan, elephant, daddy, abai(abang).. but sadly no MUMMY! How can you do this Naqib?

Socially he does not warmed up to strangers easily. And he really has this soft spot towards my father. He would be like so devastatingly manja and up to the point of berebut his tok abah with his cousin Aisy..

The School Holiday

This school holiday was significant because its Nazif's first time! Tried to plan for activities but alas, kita hanya merancang..on Monday Adik Naqib had fever and Mummy had to emergency to look after him. And so, Nazif just stayed at home with me.

Other days, he just went to the nursery. On Thursday hubby was on leave and they had Daddy-Son outing, mostly running errands and had lunch with me. Friday, we were on UITM ground to settle SIL registration for her PhD.

At last on Saturday, we finally got to do something ! Being lil chef , well for just 10 mins? When I first asked him whether he wanted to do the cookies deco, he was excited. But after I've done with registration, he started being shy..adoilaaa...Mummy already paidla sayang. So lastly we had to use Adik just as the'bait'..

Well, this space of mine really really silent. Looks like only one entry per week aja..well to tell the truth my lazy bone disease has reached to the utmost level..aaa...mood merudum ke bawah..

One, I don't have many interesting topics..well my kids are interesting topic to me..hehe..so last2 jadik topic anak2 jugakla..

Ok this one is for me to remember and others too

"Buat kawan-kawan semua.... Antara perkara yang kita boleh jadikan pengajaran dari kisah Allahyarham Faris Nur Daniel...

1. Bila anak merengek bangun malam, janganlah marah dia. Jangan merungut kenapalah kena bangun malammmmm.. mengantuk.. etc... That might be the last night that he/she does that.
2. Bila anak mintak mainan atau sesuatu kalau mampu, kita cubalah berikan. That might be the last night that he/she ask for something.
3. Bila anak nak susu, berikan dgn penuh kasih sayang... That might be the last day that he/she drinks it. Sama ada susu ibu atau susu formula, dua dua sama je. Pemberian dari ibu/ayah kpd anak.
4. Bila anak buas dan nakal, sabarlah. That might be the last day that we can see him/her being active.
5. Bila suapkan anak makan, suaplah dgn penuh kasih sayang... That might be the last food that he/she eats.

Bottom line is......Hargailah masa anda bersama anak-anak...Kita tak tau bila kita atau dia yang akan "pergi" dulu. "

That's right, we as Mummy sometimes take for granted of our children. Anak-anak merengek , being clingy is actually their ways of communicating with us, they need our attention. But sometimes being human, I felt this as 'burden'. Astaghfirullah..sungguh tak bersyukur rasanya diri ini..Now I tried being positive as much as I could. Anak-anak sepahkan barang mainan..Alhamdulilah they have toys to play with, anak-anak buas lompat sana sini, Alhamdulillah dikurniakan mereka kesihatan dan minda yang cergas..So in short I tried to look everything in positive ways.

Pondok-pondok

One of my favourite childhood play would be playing pondok-pondok. And now my children loves playing it too..

Asal-asal, I just made the pondok/khemas the old fashioned way, using bedsheet!

Haa..hebat khemah ni, siap ada extension ke dining table..boleh baca ABC sekali..

Latest, we bought them the play tent..carik hok paling murah...

Its Monday again! Haih..sekejap je rasa weekend..Yang Nazif asyik tanya,

Hari ni cuti ke Mummy?

Alhamdulilah this morning, he woke up well. Meaning no crying drama. I made his bekal today and Daddy said he didn't cry when he arrived at his kindy this morning..Lega Mummy!

So, what we did during the weekend? As usual, Mummy did the domestic thingy around the house with help from Daddy. Then in the afternoon Daddy ajak gi Empire Shopping Mall. Hajat utama nak carik play tent for the kids. So, dapatla..then since Subang and Shah Alam are near, we visited my sister Ayni. Looks like Abang Azeem has recovered from his chicken pox.

Then on Sunday, Mummy continued with cleaning around the house. Set up the tent, wahhh..the kids love it! Daddy siap letak toto inside the tent. Then Nazif had Abg Amar, our neighbors's son to play together.

Then petang2..the boys had their haircut, Daddy included. This is Naqib first time at the Mamak's shop. Definitely must be recorded! Now all the boys had theirs, so next week Mummy punya turn plak.

So, itula update setelah sekian lama.

Naqib Turns 17 Months

Today is Naqib monthly birthday where he's now 17 months young!

The most significant development for him is his speech development. He's more vocal aka scream, and increased vocabulary.

Senang citer, he's 'ringan mulut', when we say some words, he would follow.

Other than that, he still maintains his appetite, his clingy-ness, his cheekiness and everything. Compared to Nazif, I think he's much focused and independent when comes to playing at this age.
