if you have an un-ripe avocado, throw it in a closed bag with a ripe banana or apple and it will begin to soften within 24 hours? how cool is that?

Too Cool

amazing art installation called the red ball project.

kurt perschke's artist statement on the project:

"on the surface, the experience seems to be about the ball itself as an object, but the true power of the project is what it can create for those who experience it. It opens a doorway to imagine what if? As RedBall travels around the world people approach me on the street with excited suggestions about where to put it in their city. In that moment the person is not a spectator but a participant in the act of imagination. I have witnessed it across continents, diverse age spans, cultures, and languages, always issuing an invitation. That invitation to engage, to collectively imagine, is the true essence of the RedBall Project. The larger arc of the project is how each city responds to that invitation and, over time, what the developing story reveals about our individual and cultural imagination."

can we please make it come to sf? pretty please...

I have yet to try the Oribe Apres Beach Spray, but I must say the Oribe Texturizing Spray is amazing!

Not only does it provide texture to limp hair (with zero residue!) but it smells good and energizes flat, second day bed head. Plus, I love staring at the beautiful bottle on my shelf.

happy tuesday.

Yes, Less = More

2011-08-10T11:55:00.000-07:00

i'm kind of a clutterbug. being a product junkie, i tend to organize most of my cosmetics in some ugly clear plastic container from the container store. so when I came across less and more's etsy shop, i was super intrigued by the streamlined design of these fantastic makeup organizers. plus they use sustainable, locally grown wood!

also, how cool are these magic pen cubes for your desk?!

i never thought i would be saying this, but ann taylor has definitely kicked it up a notch. taking a cue from j.crew, i'm loving the art-deco feel of these select pieces!
