Langdon has a written an extremely controversial book that has made him unpopular with many people in the Catholic and Christian community, among others. I am able to connect with Langdon, because I have been in situations where my opinion was the unpopular or blasphemous one, especially on religious topics. There many teachings that come from varying religions that I disagree with in both a scientific and personal way. When I voice my thoughts on these subjects many people feel as though I am attacking something that is precious to them and are quick to shut me down with quotes from the Bible. I don't let them change my beliefs or twist the evidence I know to be true. In turn, Langdon does not let the opinions of others, no matter how strong, keep him from doing his job. Although he knew it would be controversial, he decided to write and publish a book questioning certain ideas from Christianity.

Welcome to the wonderful world of reading,
My name is Rahwa and I would describe myself as someone who always wants to learn something new. My favorite genre of book is mystery because it is exciting attempting to deduce what happened and I always feel victorious whenever I'm correct. I am also a sucker for a twist ending. There is no way I could pick a favorite book of mine, but one book that will always have a place in my hall of fame is Just Listen. This book is unapologetic about its content. It takes away the stigma of everything from eating disorders to familial meltdowns and makes the readers know and feel that is okay if not everything on their life is going perfect.
The title of the book I chose for my blog project(as you can see by my blog's title) is The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I chose this book because I felt that I wanted to challenge myself and raise my level of reading and I believe this book provides that. I also picked this book be causes it discusses the ever on going fight between Science and Religion. It challenges the views of both institutes and from I've read so far, does not make you feel like you are reading a boring, overly extensive, outdated article.
By reading this book, I hope to strengthen my comprehension and vocabulary skills, while also viewing the sciences and religion from a different stand point

Adieu pour l'instant (farewell for now),
