This is a flick that doesn't come out until the end of the year and damn, I'm super hyped. It was picked up at Sundance this year and ever since the trailer dropped online I've been patiently waiting to see this motherfucking modern day tribute to blaxploitation cinema.

When “The Man” murders his brother, pumps heroin into local orphanages, and floods the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor, Black Dynamite is the one hero willing to fight all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House.
It stars Michael Jai White who has a boatload of trashy flicks under his belt. Honestly, all you have to do is take The Dark Knight outta his resume and it's all D-grade cinema. Damn, MJW you a baaaaad mutha.

David Carradine R.I.P. (1936-2009)

I know this David Carradine news is from yesterday, but I've decided to post due to the bizarre events surrounding his death. Of course if you're a fan of this site you obviously loved him in Kill Bill 1 & 2, Death Race 2000 and Kung Fu.

When I heard the news of his "suicide" I automatically thought no fucking way. I could understand him possibly dying of old age, but not suicide especially since his career has been in full swing.
A maid found Carradine hanging naked by a rope in the closet of his hotel suite at the plush Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel Thursday, police said.Initial reports indicated a possible suicide, but his family representatives in Los Angeles have repeatedly said the actor was not suicidal.

Representatives for Carradine also declined to comment on media reports that the death was related to autoerotic asphyxiation, which involves intentionally cutting off oxygen supply for strong sexual arousal. And a former lawyer for Carradine said she suspected foul play.

Other updates also say this hands were tied up in rope. The whole thing is messed up. Rest in peace David. I'll be dusting off my copy of Q: The Winged Serpent to pay homage.

Hard Ticket To Hawaii (1987)

Seriously WTF? Hard Ticket To Hawaii is an explosive cocktail of guns, drugs and breasts. It's a deadly combination that everyone must see. Not to mention a soundtrack that is painfully 80's. The cheese factor is off the freakin' charts.

This is the 2nd film of Andy Sidaris' L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies series. There's 12 films in this series based around a team of secret agents. Hot secret agents. Here's Dona Speir (Playboy Playmate March 1984) doing some undercover work.I can go on and on and I will. Nunchucks, ninja stars and chicks with motherfucking ROCKET LAUNCHERS!

Here is Black Sister's Revenge aka Emma Mae. This fine film has a tagline of "Mess with her man and she'll bust your face."

Check tha plot...Emma's man may have beaten her up, but this dishy black sister still wants him back. The problem? How to get the green to spring him from the Big House. The solution? Rob a bank, of course!

Tokyo Gore Police (2008)

I finally watched TGP on DVD. I've been waiting for a while to see this and was excited since its directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura. (Make up effects for "The Machine Girl") I wasn't let down. I think he has a future in J-Splatter films and hopefully he continues to make more.

The plot is crazy even for Japanese cinema standards: Set in a future-world vision of Tokyo where the police have been privatized and bitter self-mutilation is so casual that advertising is often specially geared to the "cutter" demographic, this is the story of samurai-sword-wielding Ruka and her mission to avenge her father's assassination. Ruka is a cop from a squad who's mission is to destroy homicidal mutant humans known as "engineers" possessing the ability to transform any injury to a weapon in and of itself.The flick is influenced by the low budget Herschell Gordon Lewis films of the 60's and 80's David Cronenberg films. One can definitely say there's a bit of Paul Verhoeven's Robocop in there. Along with the obvious influences from its own Japanese culture such as Yokai Monsters. The gore factor gives Peter Jackson's Dead Alive a run for its money. That combo alone should let you know this is some wacked out shit!I'm a big fan of Eihi Shiina from "Audition" fame. She kicks ass and is cool doing it. Nuff said.Normally I like to watch foreign films subtitled not dubbed. The subtitled version usually keeps the experience authentic, but in this case I recommend the dubbed version. The voice over makes this wacky ride even wackier and works well as this flick is so over the top. Almost animated. Either way you should watch the trailer now and buy this DVD. It's worthy of adding to your collection. Also, I'm hearing a prequel is now in the works. YEAH-ER.

My Bloody Valentine (1981)

Okay, now we got the 3-D version coming out...which I personally can't wait for...it's time to look into the original.

This is a classic slasher with extra creepiness to boot. This film has a claustrophobic feel with mine tunnels and eerie gore. Also, ya get to laugh at the group of goofy early 80's working class people with the typical bad acting and hairdos.

Harry Warden is a way cooler killer than Jason or Michael Myers with the gas mask and pick axe and in my book its its over.I remember watching this film as a kid and I loved it. Now its out on DVD with all the gore, finally! I know what I'm watching every valentine's day. Harry Warden, you are a slasher god and that was true even before the 2009 3-D version. Thanks for the gory memories.

Mr. Majestyk (1974)

Some people like Stallone, for others Arnold, but I like Bronson. Now a simple post would be anything from the Death Wish series. C'mon, that shit is good...but it ain't Mr. Majestyk.

Written by Elmore Leonard ("Rum Punch" aka "Jackie Brown") so you know it's the real deal and Bronson has some classic lines in this classic piece of film history. Such as:

Bobby Kopas: It ain't sunk into that thick brain of yours yet. See, everything goes a lot easier and a lot less trouble when you're doing business with me. You understand what I'm talking about?
Vince Majestyk: You make sounds like you're a mean little ass-kicker... only I ain't convinced. You keep talking and I'm gonna take your head off.Nancy Chavez: If you want to go to bed with me, why don't you say so?
Vince Majestyk: I don't want to talk about it, I want to do it.

This is some quality shit especially if you're a 70's revenge flick kind of person. Now I understand I like to hype up the trailers I post, but this one is fucking great. Enjoy.

Zombie aka Zombi 2 (1979)

Lucio Fulci directs this zombie flick in an attempt to capitalize off the success of George A. Romero's "Dawn of The Dead." An attempt that worked. This puppy grossed over 30 million - which is a whole lot o' loot back in '79.

Fulci lets the blood spray throughout this classic grindhouse masterpiece. It also has the greatest zombie scene ever in it. The underwater zombie versus shark scene. When the ravenous zombie takes a bite out of the shark its nothing short of brilliant. Please believe it.It starts off in NYC and then journeys through the Caribbean Islands where a whole island of these flesh eaters make their home. I could give ya the entire plot, but its not necessary. It is exactly what you expect it to be - a fuckin' blast...watch the trailer...then post a comment, mofo!

My Name is Bruce (2007)

Basically, in a nutshell...B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon. The monster this time isn't a spirit that possesses the living. This time its Guan-di. An ancient evil protector of Bean Curd!

If you're a fan of the Evil Dead films then you're in for a goofy ride with Bruce. I wasn't disappointed. It's jam packed with inside jokes and references to the point that if you're not a fan or you've never checked out the Evil Dead films (or any of his flicks) you'll be lost.There's some fun decapitations and splattering sprinkled here and there to boot.

The lead chick and love interest works great with Ash, um, I mean Bruce.
And Grace Thorsen is also a hottie!Bruce is screening now nationwide - check it out here. In the meantime, here's the freakin' trailer:

The Man from Hong Kong (1975)

Aka "The Dragon Flies." Director Brian Trenchard-Smith ("Stunt Rock") takes my favorite Asian action hero Jimmy Wang Yu and showcases him under this Aussie production with a special appearance by Sammo Hung to boot. Oh yeah, George Lazenby ("On Her Majesty's Secret Service") plays a drug trafficking, gun toting evil son of a bitch with an arsenal of firepower that could take down any motherfucker in his way.

Right off the top this movie kicks ass from the beautiful locations all the way down to the edgy synthed out soundtrack. Even the opening title track called "SkyHigh" is very catchy and fits the pic perfectly. I need this friggin' soundtrack!
Also, it must be noted that the stunts in this movie are hardcore. The car crashes and real looking fight sequences are all wild. One shot in particular, a car blows up and the door comes flying at the cameraman making for a sick shot but was obviously an accident. An accident that could have been deadly. Yeah, that's a nice pic with Jimmy Wang Yu rockin' the full Adidas tracksuit!

Minus a few slow points this Aus-Chopsocky mash up is one to check out, fo' sho. As usual, enjoy the original theatrical trailer - you'll get a good feel from the trailer how crazy these stunts actually are...

Microwave Massacre (1983)

Hmmmm...where do I begin on this freakin' title? Oh yeah, like every other film on my site this one is horrible. To sum it up: a construction worker hates dealing with his wife's terrible cooking so much he decides to choke her to death and stick her in the microwave. He continues to do this to every girl he comes across.

The lead actor who plays the microwavin' maniac is Jackie Vernon. Who is best known as the voice of Frosty the Snowman! After further research it appears he was also a stand up comedian for some of the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts. Which would also explain the bad one-liners he delivers throughout the flick. Here's an example:

Donald: I'm so hungry I could eat a whore.

Sam: Didn't I ever tell you about my hemorrhoids? They get really bad when it's humid, you know

May: Some men, you should know, still find me attractive
[starts rubbing herself]
Donald: How would I know them? I didn't attend the braille institute
The gore FX are sooo cheap n' cheesy lookin' I can't begin to explain it. Check out the beheaded wife below to see just how bad the FX are!One other important note: These is a lot of gratuitous nudity throughout. Yay! Titties, titties and more titties. Vice Squad (1982)

This is classic early 80's Hollywood hooker trash. The clothing alone is so fucking bad it's...well it's still bad. Members Only jackets, dolphin shorts and brothers with beaded cornrows. Oh yeah, it's like that.
The white pimp is named "Ramrod" and he is a hillbilly. His vehicle is a Bronco with Ramrod painted on the back. I immediately thought Kill Bill and the Pussy Wagon. The dialogue is also priceless. The hookers discuss golden showers and say things like: "Girl, these cum freaks are all alike...they wanna pop twice for the same price!" Watch the below vid for more 80's Hollywood hooker action!

Nightmare in a Damaged Brain (1981)

This is my 3rd favorite gore film next to the original Evil Dead and Peter Jackson's Dead Alive. It is nastier than these titles on the level that the blood flows in a non joking manner. It is just down right sick.

A demented a little boy chops his mommy's head off while she is having sex. OUCH!!! The camera doesn't cut away in the gore. The gore scenes were said to be shot by Tom (Dawn of the Dead) Savini. But from my understanding he had nothing to do with this flick. That doesn't matter as these scenes are fan-friggin-tastic on the blood level...WOW!!!There's not much online with this puppy, but trust me find it...it's disturbing in the bad way...the bad way that you need it for the gory finale. It's a finale that makes me cringe.

U.S. Catman: Lethal Track (1990)

I know that's a fuckin' awesome film title, right? This is sooooo bad and we're talkin' Robo Vampire levels here. (see Robo Vampire below for more on that) Catman is another cut n' paste flick by by my main man Godfrey Ho. Check out the cute kitty Catman logo - real tough for a superhero...meow:The plot (if there is one) is best put together by some mofo on IMDb: One half of the movie follows a guy named Sam and his friend Gus. Sam gets scratched by a radioactive cat in a fight with some wacky drug addicts and achieves amazing super powers. He then puts on a stupid costume and decides to fight some bad guys using his new powers, including a crazed priest named Cheever. The other half of the movie is a about a whole bunch of Asian people that are just beating each other up for no reason, including a tall guy with an eyepatch and a woman that looks like a man. They have no real purpose in the movie, and seem to just be throw in.Sam figures out he has the radioactive Catman abilities when he is able to turn the TV on and off by pointing at it. Then he lights a cigarette with his mind. And the rest is bad cinema history. Check out the scene posted below for more Catman and if ya really want more you can do a double feature with the sequel: Catman in Boxer's Blow. I know, I couldn't believe it either.

Sexual Parasite: Killer Pussy (2004)

The title pretty much tells it all. Killer pussies with parasites that munch off your penis. Ouch!

This shit is wacky as fuck which is exactly why it's not surprising it is from Japan. Shot on digital video with a lot of cheesy after effects and the parasite looks like a rubber puppet, but the doesn't matter. It's basically an excuse to see busty Japanese girls squirm in a bloody mess all over the place. It's sick and it's wonderful.

Before their pussies are invaded by the sexual parasite these girls decide they must party! With a running time of 60 minutes this flick is quick and a lot of fun. Robo Vampire (1990)

From Asian B-Movie film producer/ director Tomas Tang; head of Filmark International. Tomas originally worked with Godfrey Ho in the early 80's before splitting and makin' his own cut-n-paste cinema. Tang's cut-n-paste style is horrible and a fuckin' mess.

Robo Vampire has a Thai revenge subplot cut into it. Which I discovered is actually a film called "Golden Triangle." But never mind that subplot. (you can fast forward all that shit) The reason to watch this is for the cheesy Robocop rip off element. This guy's Robocop outfit looks like it was made with tin foil and junkyard trash. The junkyard trash - robocop man must destroy the evil Asian drug lord who is hiding his drug stash within a group of hopping vampires!
Here's an example of the awesome dialogue:

"Now that Tom is dead, I want to use his body to create an android-like robot. I'd appreciate you approving my application."
- Bearded Guy

"You're assured of success?"
- Glen

"Yes."
- Bearded Guy

"Okay. It's approved."
- Glen

Then 30 seconds later this Robo-rip off is in full effect, homie.

Exhausted: John C. Holmes, the Real Story (1981)

Everybody knows about John Holmes and his 14-inch penis. This ugly motherfucker is a classic adult "film" star, drug addict and egomaniac. All of this is evident while watching this doc.

This is pro-John Holmes as it is directed by his admirer Julia St. Vincent. It is also obvious that Paul Thomas Anderson used this film as a reference for "Boogie Nights." Actually, more than a reference - some of it looks like it was identically lifted. Dirk Diggler's life mirrors John Holmes' and Amber Waves' mirrors Julia St. Vincent's.
This flick is laced with XXX scenes from John's career...so ya get a lot of shots of his dick along with that full 70's bush. His most famous flicks were the Johnny Wadd series. The Wadd character was a private "dick" tryin' to solve various crimes and fuck women.This was shot in the beginning of John's heavy drug period and just before becoming a dope fiend, crook, murder suspect, and finally, AIDS victim. Death Warrior (1984)

Aka "Turkish Evil Dead."
This is another crazy Turkish flick which means its not dubbed and its not subtitled. It doesn't matter though. Hell, even if it was subtitled I really don't think it would matter as the scenes jump drastically all over the place. Also, the only reference to Evil Dead would be the camera shots runnin' thru the woods chasing after a man. Those shots do look Evil Dead influenced, but the rest of the flick is all about ninjas jumpin' all over the place and fighting with flimsy looking cardboard swords. In some scenes you can see the trampoline which actors used to create jump effects. It rules.
This movie stars Cuneyt Arkin (Turkish Star Wars) who is considered to be the Turkish Harrison Ford! From what I gathered watching it he plays an inspector that must track down the invisible ninjas that are randomly killin' people. The ninja master is hardcore - he can move rocks with his mind and make them explode. Lucky bastard.Damn, there's so much horrible awesomeness in this Turkish gem I could go on and on. Like when the ninja master turns into a burning rag doll or when the main characters randomly have different clothes on within the same scene. But continuity doesn't matter in the Turkish world and I highly recommend this flick. So go find it! Until that time - enjoy this scene, mofo's!

Stryker (1983)

I've got a serious hard one for Filipino grindhouse director Cirio H. Santiago. His directing skill for trash is by far the worst - bottom of the barrel - rip off shit. This time my main man decides to rip off The Road Warrior. Cirio tackled the post apocalyptic genre with a string of titles. Wheels of Fire, Dune Warriors and Equalizer 2000 to name a few.

After a nuclear explosion (that is never explained) gangs of people must fight for survival and search for water since the Earth's supply has been depleted.
Ya get about 80 minutes of car chases and crappy dialogue which is perfect for this type of flick. And ya get Jawas rip off midgets that jump out and shoot ya with bow n arrows! Those little fuckin' bastards.This movie is available with the Grindhouse Experience 20 Film Set Vol. 2. If you like coming to this site and don't own it WTF are ya waiting for? Phew...that's one hell of a title (best I've stumbled across in a while) and only the Japanese can put together this wacky of a movie. To sum it up: A mysterious virus spreads throughout a girls' high school eventually turning everyone but the swim team into zombies. Now the swim team must fight to stay alive.
Two things happen in this J-sploitation flick. Zombies kill and lesbianism. If those things are your bag then this trash should not be thrown away.If I where to write the tagline for this flick it would go: First, the panty shots. Second, the blood sprays and finally the female swim team must kick ass!

Demonoid: Messenger of Death (1981)

A man unleashes an ancient curse that possesses the left hand of anyone that gets in its way. The only way for a possessed person to free themselves from this torment is to cut off their left hand after which it scurries away in search of its next victim.
Sam Raimi definitely saw this before penning Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn. And that is probably the only reason to waste 78 minutes of your life watching this. I guess that and to see Russ Meyer hottie Haji strut her stuff around in a few scenes.

Another funny ass scene involves Samantha Eggar having a discussion with a mine worker as to the sex of a mine and whether mines get jealous. So fuckin' ridiculous - a definite WTF please rewind that scene moment. Here's the theatrical trailer which is also featured on 42nd Street Forever Volume 3. A must have trailer compilation for any Grindhouse fan!
