Stopped by the closest gas stations and grabbed some sodas for the trip. We started our adventure by taking a spin around the lake and then headed north. I did find a couple old rock roads that looked promising for future trips. My daughter and I would yell moooooooooooo every time we passed a cow. So needless to say, we said it a lot!

All in all, it was a nice cruise. Definitely helped my stress levels.
The main character is an average IQ goofball who is the town sheriff. The cool thing is that he drives an XJ (Cherokee). It looks so nice and clean.....makes me almost feel bad for selling mine.
Regardless, it was a fun show while it lasted and will be missed.....especially the sheriff's XJ.
The last thing you want to do is force it, so to make life easier and avoid ripping your soft top or ruining the zippers, you can purchase Mopar Soft Top Zipper Cleaner Lube.

The cheapest i have found it is on Amazon for $7.84 + shipping. The bottle includes a little brush on the tip to clean dirt and debris out of the zipper.
As soon as the clock struck five I grabbed my daughter and went outside. This was a perfect evening for taking the top down and going for a cruise. Funny thing was that my wife text me on her way home that she wanted to go for a ride too.

The top came down and I went ahead and took the doors off. The doors come off easy now that I greased them up this spring. The prior owner of my TJ had definitely had the doors off quite a bit as well.

My wife, youngest two kids, and I jumped in and took off heading south. We found some nice rock roads and a few washed on ones! If a rock road isn't available, take a dirt one! We ended up taking 20 mile joyride through the country.

JKS Quicker Disconnects

I installed some JKS Quicker Disconnects a while back to replace the poor quality sway bar disconnects that were on my Jeep when I bought it. I scoured the forums for the best replacement I could get. Price was an object, but durability was equally as important. The JKS discos were highly recommend. You can find them on sale sometimes with free shipping. They generally are priced very close to what you see here:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16160_01.htm

I actually found them with free shipping from here:

http://www.kevinsoffroad.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=19_40&products_id=8

So the rule of thumb when shopping for you Jeep is to shop around and find the best deals!
I use the two character name designated by Jeep to identify different body styles.

CJ = Wrangler made from 1945-1986
DJ = Dispatch Jeep 1952-1973
JK = Wrangler 2007 - present
KJ = Liberty 2001 - present
MJ = Commanche 1984 - 1991
TJ = Wrangler 1997 - 2006
WJ = Grand Cherokee 1999 - 2004
WK = Grand Cherokee 2005 - present
XJ = Cherokee 1984 - 2001
YJ = Wrangler 1987 - 1995
ZJ = Grand Cherokee 1993 - 1998

Now that was interesting...well, maybe. I personally have a XJ and a TJ. This is good info to know when ordering parts for your 4x4 Jeep!

Cruisin' Jeep Style

One of my favorite things to do is grab the wife and kids and go for a cruise in my TJ. It is so nice not to have to worry about coming across a road in bad need of repair. The Jeep Wrangler is a very capable vehicle.
