The next day she gave birth to five kittens, named: Mariuca, Violeta, Maurice, King Julien, and Spotty. Now, they're big kittens, extremely cute and playful and everybody loves them. We are trying to get them loving families, but till then we in turn take care of them. The kittens are in Bucharest, Romania. One of them (King Julien) has already been adopted, while the rest wait for lovable masters.
Courtesy of: Irina G.

Three years ago, Lucy was born to my sweet cat, Baby. Lucy was such a beautiful calico I decided I had to keep her, and she has been the best fun ever. Before I moved a couple of months ago, she was my constant companion outdoors on my nature walks. Every time I grabbed my camera, she knew it was time to go out for an adventure. She and her brother, Pepper, always came with me, even when it was below zero outside. Pepper is a gentle giant who LOVES his sister and protects her always. It's the cutest relationship I've ever seen between cats. Now, my cats are indoor cats. I moved a couple of towns over, and I'm not in such a rural area anymore. I feel badly for them sometimes, having to stay indoors all the time, but it's safer that way. Lucy has truly brightened my life since she came along. I hope you enjoy her pictures.
Courtesy of: vtpeacenik

Kiwi
Sara says: Kiwi was brought into my life this past January through a family friend. I looked over all the kittens, and the one and only tabby caught my attention. He was the only one that wanted to play with me while his sisters slept! My family and I agreed that I had found my new sidekick. I decided to name him Kiwi, mostly because I've always wanted my pets to have the more unusual names. He's been nothing short of a rascal since I brought him home of course. His favorite pastime is chasing ankles! Now that he's gotten bigger, he's able to jump onto the windowsill and watch the birds at my feeder. The only thing that seems to scare him is the raccoons that come around at night. Kiwi hides under the table or sits in my lap when he sees one outside the window. Even though he can be a little scamp, Kiwi's just a big ol' cuddle bug! He loves curling up on my bed next to me as I'm falling asleep. I'm really happy to have him as a pet, but even more as my best friend!
Courtesy of: Sara Smith

Pipsa
Fantasyfan says: Pipsa was born near the Midsummer Festival as first litter for their mother Sissi at my parent's farm here in Finland. Pipsa was very cute as a kitten and she was great as cat model. She would come when ever she was called and would go great with people and farm life. But during the same summer Pipsa's mother Sissi had already another litter. To everyone's suprise Pipsa loved her little sisters. While Sissi was away Pipsa would climb into the kitten box and take care of the kittens and she was a second mom to the kittens. When the fall came, Pipsa moved to live with me and my older cat in the city. She still loves to take care of kittens of other cats and is very kitten-like herself. She does feel that the city life in indoors is quite boring, but it's the safest this way.
Courtesy of: Fantasyfan

Gary and Missy
Gary and Ann Marie say: We got these cute little litter mates when they were six weeks old. They are about eight weeks old now. We got them from a friend who thought they were both males and so we called them Larry and Gary but were soon informed by the vet that Larry was a girl and so we renamed her Missy. We should have known. Missy is prissy. She has dainty little ways and cute little white paws. Even so, she can still stand her own in roughhousing with brother Gary. Gary is a young male with a happy heart and great attitude. He is going to be the kitten child that we had hoped for in that he is affectionate, playful, smart, and well behaved. Gary and Missy live with three older cats named Bart, Cookie, and Snuggers. They like to play and tease the three old cats, who have we think have actually become fond of them and seem to enjoy watching their antics. Gary has a big appetite and will eat quickly and ask for more. While writing this for the Daily Kitten, I found out that Gary really enjoys strawberry shortcake and so I had to get another one for myself. He also likes pork and beans...
Courtesy of: Gary and Ann Marie Mellick

I go to Purdue and she will be living with me in West Lafayette, Indiana, this year. She was the runt of the litter so she has a little bit of a Napoleon complex. She likes to act tough but loves to cuddle at night. She likes doing ANYTHING that gets her in trouble because she loves the attention. Shredding toilet paper and paper towels, going anywhere she's not allowed to go, making messes, eating the dog's food, ruining puzzles... etc. She dislikes most cats and dogs (except for her friend Ollie) and being ignored. She was raised as a princess who thinks she's the center of the universe, so she can't really comprehend why my mother (who is allergic to cats) won't pay attention to her. Roxy misses Justin!

Janice
Amanda says: Janice, my "miracle baby," is now 12 weeks old. I first brought her home from the shelter when she was a precocious little six-week-old baby -- one who had been living under someone's house for at least a week with no mother or siblings to be found. The reason I call her my miracle baby is because at seven weeks, her curiosity and determination led her into the toilet (a long story which I won't bother to relay here), and I came home from work to find what seemed, at first glance, to be a drowned little girl. According to various vets, my horrified screams and cries most likely brought her back from what might have been a borderline coma. When she managed to raise her soaked little head to meow and let me know she was alive, I raced her to the ER, where she spent the night in an incubator (her body temperature was 15-20 degrees below normal). I've never been more grateful in my life than when I brought my little baby Janice home after a long night, healthy and happy, and we snuggled together for hours. Since then, she has been as vibrant as can be. Janice's favorite things are almonds, figs, Fritos, funk music, and "Hardball with Chris Matthews." I'm not even making this up. She beats on her seven-year-old brother Desi, eats everything in the house, and is a neverending source of delight to me and to everyone around me.
Courtesy of: Amanda W.
