Welfare Worker Visited Mom Before Sons' Killings

The part that is rediculous about this is that everyone including the welfare agency says there was no indication that the mother might harm the children and yet the police have been to the house a number of times and the father is in jail for domestic abuse.

Victims of domestic abuse are not stable people, the mother is not good at making decisions if she continually chooses the wrong type of person to be with.

Welfare departments all over the country are overloaded with work and I expect that there will be more problems like this. Although the economy is looking up most people are having a hard time paying for bills and paying for food. This puts stress on the house that some people can't handle. I am not providing an excuse for anybody to do these types of acts but just stating the way life is.

Merry Christmas, Holiday challenge

I just woke up and was walking the dog when I had a happy thought, many children are opening presents right now. Some have presents going from the tree to ten feet away as my children have had before. There are many smiles on kids faces, families are gathering and getting ready fo a great feast and I hope they have a wonderful day.
Then I thought there are children out there that don't get to open to many presents because of the economy, that made me sad, but at least they got something and have a warm place to stay to enjoy some time with family members. Mom and Dad will find someway to have a christmas meal even if the money comes from the rent money. So Merry Christmas and great job to every parent who will make today a special day.
I had another thought, some families are homeless or don't have heat, some children are hungry on a day when other kids are having one of the best days of their lives. There are other people that don't have kids or a family and they will be at the bar today drinking with the only family they know. There is an alcholic somewhere on the street right now trying to get money for beer so they can get drunk because they see no value in cristmas, they can't give and have no-one to recieve from.
My challenge to you today is to give something...Anything... To someone else for no other reason than they might need something or it could put a smile on their face. Here are some ideas:
Maybe not even today but when you go to return an item, don't return it give it to someone else, there are people who need pots to cook in, if you recieved pots give them to someone who needs them.
Clothes, It is a cold winter for many, hopefully you get the idea.
Food, there are children hungry in every major city, find one and feed them, then go another step: do something to put a smile on their face even though they might be in a bad situation.
Listen to their story, tell them your story.
Rather than drag this out I will leave you with this: do something to help someone with their need and then something to put a smile on their face.
Spread the message, digg, tweet, email this message to everyone you know. Change the message to your suiting if you want but let someone else know that we should give what we can to even people that we don't know, just so that they can smile or laugh today and for maybe just a moment not worry about their daily problems, Make Merry Christmas an action not just some words.

They say refinancing matters because it helps people spend and pay down debt. Are they crazy? Refinancing puts people more in debt and if they have trouble with the loan they could loose their most valuable asset.

We are real people who might not have a christmas, I live in florida and we depend on tourism so for us we need for the rest of the country to get past just having a job and get to the point where they have disposable income. With out that our economy will not recover. On November 26, 2009, the suspect, Paul Michael Merhige, w/m 09/10/1974, was invited to dinner at 104 Via Veracruz, Jupiter where he subsequently opened fire on the guests. The investigation revealed that Merhige had a strong resentment toward several family members within the residence. During the evening, the suspect exited the residence and returned a short time later with a gun. As he entered the residence, he proceeded to shoot the victims without warning or provocation. He immediately fled the scene in his 2007 Toyota Camry 4-door, blue in color vehicle, bearing Florida license plate #W427JT.

The Jupiter Police Department is working with the United States Marshals utilizing their resources in an attempt to locate the suspect. The suspect’s last known address was in Miami. The following is a confirmation of the victims and their relationship to the suspect.

Victim #2 (Deceased): Carla Merhige (03/29/76) – Sister

Victim #3 (Deceased): Lisa Knight (03/29/76) – Sister

Victim #5 (Injured): Patrick Knight (10/19/72) – Brother-in-Law

Victim #6 (Injured): Clifford Gebara (09/03/57) – Cousin
