I did this for Longshot Magazine’s Comeback issue (it wasn’t selected). I only realized later that it looks like a strawberry, but it’s not supposed to be one – I didn’t have any particular plant in mind.

Frog

This guy is a leopard frog. As you can see, he’s pretty well camouflaged – I didn’t see him until he moved. They tend to live in meadows and large grassy areas.

This came out of some earlier work I’d done with overlapping elements and fragments. I made a bunch of random objects without really thinking about where they’d go, and then I put them together. I’m pretty happy with the style so far. We’ll see where this goes.
