How To Stop Boko Haram Menace By Mallam Shehu Sani

If claims by the leader of the Northern Civil Society Coalition, Mallam Shehu Sani are anything to go by, it may take only a phone call from the Presidency to put an end to the Boko Haram menace ravaging the North. Sani, in an interview says that
if President Jonathan calls him today, he would give him the name and contact of one person whose intervention will lead to a successful dialogue with the militant sect. He also insisted that indeed, the person in question is somebody also known to the president.

“… I have repeatedly said that if President Jonathan can make a phone call to me today and ask me of one person who can solve the problem, I will give him the name of the person. And apart from the person, I don't see the possibility of any other person whom the group can trust,” he said.

Sani indicted some elements in the Jonathan government over the failure of past attempts at dialogue, saying these persons may have been sabotaging such efforts either in the mistaken belief that force can solve the problem or because they are gaining from the situation.

“Before now, I used to think that Boko Haram was completely opposed to peace or ceasefire, but in the few occasions that I have been involved in seeking a way out of this problem, I have seen that much of the sabotage came from the side of the government,” he said.

Mrs. Ruka Amoha, a housewife and a mother of three who claimed her husband has denied her of sex for some months vented her anger on her neighbour, Mrs. Yemi Adelani and bit off her nose during an argument! Ruka alleged that her husband, Wasiu Amoha, starved her of sex because he was enjoying an affair with her neighbour.

“I cannot accept a situation where Yemi is enjoying her husband and mine at the same time thus denying me the opportunity to enjoy my husband”, she said.

The victim, Yemi, a mother of four kids, confirmed that Ruka accused her of sleeping with her husband and denied ever having any affair with Wasiu.

Wasiu, confirmed to P.M.NEWS that he has been having constant quarrels with Ruka his wife because of her behaviour. When asked why he was not having sex with his wife, he said it was because of her constant quarrel and he had no peace of mind to even think about sex.

On the day of the incident last week, which happened at 13, Adealu Street, Dopemu, Lagos, Ruka reportedly ambushed Yemi (they all live in the same compound), grabbed her nose and bit it off. She bled profusely and was rushed to the hospital. But doctors at the Lagos General Hospital, Orile Agege, where she was treated confirmed that Yemi’s nose was badly damaged and she needs plastic surgery to survive. She is still expected to undergo plastic surgery on the nose.

The police from Oke Odo Police Division arrested Ruka and after interrogation, she was charged before an Ikeja Magistrate's Court sitting at Abule Egba for assault and inflicting injury on Yemi. The offence, the police said, is contrary to Section 244 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

She pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. O.A. Komolafe granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum; one of which must be her blood relation.

The matter was adjourned till 24 August, 2012 for mention. She is remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when she will fulfil her bail condition.

Also, the source revealed that Genny is becoming a global brand more than Desmond and her past successful brand deals really helped her in clinching this Range Rovers car mouth-watering deal.

Disaster was narrowly averted last week, when the 4-year old son of Emeka Ike accidentally put a SUV in auto drive, while out with his mother. The mother reportedly left the young boy in the car, with the keys of the car in the ignition, and the child somehow managed to put the the car in auto drive, causing the car to run into another vehicle, and then into a supermarket.

The incident took place at Magodo Phase 1 (Lagos), last Wednesday. Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident, and the actor has confirmed that his child is hale and hearty.

An 80-year-old woman was able to successfully land a twin-engine airplane in northeastern Wisconsin after her husband became unconscious at the controls and died. Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says the dispatch center was told just after 5 p.m. Monday that a Cessna about 6 miles south of Sturgeon Bay had declared an emergency. The pilot, an 81-year-old man from the Sturgeon Bay area, had suffered a medical emergency and was unconscious.
