Natty and I went over to the beautiful lobby of the Waldorf Astoria to sign the contract for our book project with Gestalten, a prestigious international art and design publisher out of Berlin. That's right, folks: A BOOK! I'm smiling ear to ear right now, can you tell?

A book to be published this fall 2013, with photos by me, of course, and text by Natty.

Catching that elusive fading light on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. It changes right before your eyes, and you gotta enjoy it while it lasts - or try to get it on "film". The portrait is very hopeful, so I'd like to offer it as clear look forward into our coming year.

Autumn in New York, why does it seem so inviting? The song by Vernon Duke performed by Ella Fitzgerald is our soundtrack today....

This time get a peek into the life and philosophy of Dandy Wellington, a man of many talents, and may bow ties. We follow him from <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheDandyPortraits/~4/m1qePzFdGMU" height="1" width="1"/>

Dandy Talk - My View

Richard Press at the Ivy Style exhibit opening at FIT, Sept 14, 2012

It was a fun night out at the opening of the Ivy Style exhibit at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I got to see some friends and make new ones. Bruce Boyer introduced me to the legendary Richard Press (Press as in J. Press) and I took him aside to make a few portraits. How could I not?

Please save the date of Friday, October 5, 2012. The talk will be from 6-8pm and undoubtedly cocktails and hob-nobbing will ensue afterwards.

Dandy Magazine, a French publication, recently did an article on me, and when I received the copy I was blown away at how beautiful it was printed. Gorgeous. Also, my name is on the cover (!) - yep, lower right. Of course I immediately put the text thru google translate, which was hilarious. Must learn French. {UPDATE: see Nathan's translation below!}
