About the human race
And the people he had categorized

He found an uncanny connection
An anomaly he could not define
Something that brought them closer
And united their minds

They called it love
But he did not understand
Why the singularity never
Made any demands

He put them in boxes
To see how they react
Or rather to cure the syndrome
Is why he did it in fact

They lived in the boxes
But still felt the same
The innateness of the feeling
Must then take the blame

He felt powerless
So went to a happy face
Expecting retribution
Getting a warm embrace

An armchair theorist
Left his office and got a shock
For unentangled from his theories
He had found the human flock

I think it would be nice
If we were all lab mice
Taking things as given
Without thinking twice.

With a shelter provided
And workload divided
Scantiest of positive
reinforcement would suffice.

And our energies would be utilized
In a cause for the civilized
For the benefit of many
It would be a simple price.

No one over, none underfed
Living only for today instead
And let clarity prevail over charity
A little hedonistic, to be precise.

But a plastic promise is what we devise
And plastic hopes keep us alive
When living becomes
A futile exercise.

Japanese Men [Part 1]

I had to slap her in her face to shut her yelping.

And she smiled still.

She was used to being treated around like that.

But not for the yelping though. Never for the yelping.

Japanese men. They like their women crying and moaning like little piglets.

This here was a very lovely specimen of Japanese beauty.

She would do every thing to please her man that broads back in my country would shudder to even think of.

Without thinking twice.

But the yelping. It made me nauseous.

Those stout little bastards, I thought. The way they treat their women I'd never treat my game.

I felt pity for her.

All the humiliation that she had been through being in the business.

And she smiled still.

And her baby face lit up with her smile. But I had to smack her to stop the yelping.

She spoke something in Japanese.

A high pitched slurry of gibberish.

I assumed she was cursing me for the slap.

I assumed it was a part of the game, part of the package.

Because she smiled.

And I go forward with my spoil of war.

My cellphone rings. Once. Twice.

Thrice.

Furious, I pick it up on the fourth ring. Its my boss.

Job Over. Come back by the next flight he says. And hangs up.

Short and precise, the message. Just the kind of person I like working for.

I get up. Tell her its time to leave.

Start putting my clothes on when there's a knock on the door.

That must be the champagne I ordered. What's the point now.

She looks at me, frightfully.

The night's over I tell her.

Get over with the act.

And I move forward to open the door.

More high pitched Japanese gibberish.

I don't take note. I don't know Japanese.

Its quite a contorted story somehow.

On a planet so blue
Infinite lines I drew
To give to my people
Every time my tribe grew

A million little pieces I made of this earth
Till all that was left was useless ice and dirt.
Then I razed forests for buildings that grew sky-high
And my people spread till land was in dearth

I've made banks and churches and killing machines
On the face of the earth that was once so pristine
I've tamed all the beasts, I reign supreme
Till an asteroid comes to sweep the planet clean

She came in a plastic bag filled up with styrofoam balls
And never complains about the paint patches on my walls
Getting used to her never took more than a while
She brightens my every day with her very own push-button smile.

I never really wanted her to stay for more than a week
When I slapped her for being rude she turned me her other rosy cheek
The moments we share together are so incredibly intense
Having your own rubber doll now it makes so much more sense

She would lie down in a corner never taking up too much space
Her eyes only added to the beauty of her custom-made face
Software updates made her act the way I wanted to be
Oh Andie you were so much more than the perfect girl for me

But soon I grew tired of the sameness of your physique
And I came across a girl that went by the name of Mystique
More flexible and sensible than you ever were she was

The making video. Had a lot of fun shooting this one. The extras in the video were juniors. The guys were caught hold of from the TV room. There was an important match going on that day and they were quite frustrated at being caught like that. The girls I think were mostly those who ventured into their seniors' wings while chatting.

All the guys clothes were supplied by Afroz (fondly known as Afro). He is not a dry cleaner.

Tried a few new things like translucent shader, reactor cloth with constraints and reactor wind. Total rendering time : abt 20hrs.

Max, loads of volumetric materials and far too many polygons. It could have been much better, I was new to max back then. The finale is pretty awesome though and the music fits well. The background music is a song (some remix of Played-A-Live I think) by Safri Duo.
