* I've given this a lot of thought and it's time to make an announcement. * First, as I mentioned earlier, my podcast show has returned to podomatic. They are in 15-minute segments so you can download which subjects you want and skip the ones you don't care about. * There are three themes for the David Tanny Show: * a) Dave's Music Notes - been off the net for a year, but it's back as I play the best of the podsafe serious music I find. * b) Views and Comments - basically a 15-minute talk show format consisting of behind the scenes, website and pledge drive updates, discussions of subjects, and more. * c) The Funny Zone - consisting of funny podsafe music ranging from songs to spoken word sketches. * And...another hobby makes an exit. * I quit producing songs. I simply hate doing it. F--k it. I'm too impatient. My lyric skill is dementally uncorrect to put it. I enjoy writing rhymes and crap like that, but just don't have the time to refine it or anything. * Due to lack of time, ok, lack of skill due to lack of time, as well as people who have a passion for producing recordings far above the hack level I can only reach, The 10th Anniversary Collection 2000-2010 will be the epithet of my novelty song hobby. I decided that I don't need it as much as I did five years ago. That's it. I'm done recording songs of all kinds. * I will still sell my recordings of my crap on davidtanny.com as people are interested and burn them fresh on demand. I can burn just one or two CD-Rs a day, so I currently have a 30-day backup for people who want the CD-Rs of my albums not seen on reverbnation.com * Ads for Volume 3, iFunnyRadio, live365 * I also have this related announcement. * If you're a band, are interested in taking my lyrics and making them funny or weird, and want to sell them for money (yes, that's true), then get in touch with me privately. I will ask only for a songwriting co-credit (such as "Based on an idea by David Tanny") and my website name on your physical CD liner jackets. There's also the issue of sharing lyric writing royalties 50-50 (but nothing else such as production, composition, physical production, etc.) that you would have to keep track of. Let's be fair about this. You would still make a lion's share of each song purchased. * In turn, I will give you free publicity on my website davidtanny.com where I will point my readers to where they can purchase them on your website, itunes, or whatever. * Also, I will give them a spin on my shows. * And if you make youtube videos of my song ideas, then I can publicize them on my youtube channel. * What do you think of this?
