And there you have it! I probably could have stretched that first paragraph there into another page on its own, but I just really wanted to be done with this story. I’ve got a couple more shamelessly link-baiting one-offs planned before I launch into the next one, which will probably be a little bit shorter.

Several of you have pointed out to me that I got some link loving from the inestimable Immelmann of the Concession comic and it has just sent me a profane amount of vistors over the course of yesterday and today. I hope that you kids like what you see.

If the feedback I get from the feedback form is any indication, I have just got the classiest and wittiest and most attractive-looking readers in the world, and I am pretty stoked about that. And yes, I can tell how attractive you are by how you type. It is a fact.

I generally like to think that stirring in internet memes as a substitution for actual comedy in a webcomic is kind of cheap but I mean even Shakespeare dropped a fart joke every now and again, so.

If you thought better of me before this point I am sorry. Showing up three days late and delivering something like this after making you wait is not really something a body can make excuses for, so I’ll spare you mine. I, too, am disappoint.

In better news, it’s a source of continuing gratification for me to see the places that this comic gets reposted to and linked from. The big viral surge set off by the Firefox comic last month is finally settling down, and I’m looking forward to finishing this story to see if I can pull something like that off again.

Oh my gosh you guys, my buddy Tod Wills (you remember Tod, right? Of the sensational internet web-comic, Ekwara?) just set himself up an internet store where he’s selling all of his very cool original artwork. He isn’t charging nearly enough for them and so a bunch of them have already been sold so you should go have a look and find something you like before there aren’t any of them left. Serious, folks. Ground floor opportunity, here.

I would like to conduct a poll! Partially to see if i can successfully conduct a poll on the blog here without breaking anything, and mostly because I’d like to get an idea about the social media engagement of the folks that are reading this comic.

You’ve probably noticed that I’ve added little social networking buttons for the voting up of and/or retweeting of comics at the bottom of each page, because for about the last month now I’ve been seeing a lot of traffic from Stumbleupon and I’ve also enjoyed some tidy little traffic spikes from Tumblr, Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter. I’m a regular user of Reddit myself and I’m also a great big Twitter fiend and so I figure there’s probably something to be gained in getting to know my readers and connecting with you cats through these services where applicable.

And so I made a poll. I’d appreciate it if you took a moment to fill it out! I’ll probably eventually move this to the About page, if I ever get around making an About page.

Firefox and Early Bird prints available!

Good news everybody! If you visit the store, you can now purchase prints of the Early Bird gets the Earworm and Firefox has Crashed comics, both of which have proven to be stupidly popular.

It’s worth pointing out that because of the weird format of the Early Bird strip, I’ve broken it up into two separate prints, with the last single panel being offered on its own. It’ll make sense once you go have a look.

I’m working on an arrangement with a distributor who will be handling order fulfillment for me pretty soon, but I wanted to make these prints available right away (because oh my gosh, so broke). If you order a print (or, heck, order two), you’ll be helping me out immensely.

The print quality is super nice, they’re handled by Monoceros Media, whom I’ve gone to many, many times in the past for prints and can vouch for how dang fancy these prints are.

And if there are any other comics in the archive you’d like to have a print made of, drop me a note and we’ll run one off for you. If there’s a lot of requests for any single specific page (like stuff from the Apex Predator series, which is also turning out to be pretty popular with readers), I’ll add it to the store.

Oh, oh, and and a very important edit: I’ll sign them if you want! There should be an option in the checkout process to leave a note for special instructions, if you want me to personalize your print in any way, be sure to say so!

I know the one on the top is an archer fish, the kind of fish that spits water at bugs to get them to fall in so they can get eated, but I don't remember the rest of them.
