Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy

2012-05-11T20:21:00.002-07:00

Well, once again, I'll discuss one of the things I love, and this time is the world of Warhammer 40,000 role. I bring you a little about this game already came out quite some time, but, really, to me is quite new. I do not know how it works, I have not played a game, but I will talk a little about the basic manual of Dark Heresy. This will explain the rules, and most of the world, they teach you to play with an Inquisitor (quite annoying for me because I'm a thoroughbred spacemarine). The character creation is very similar things to the table game, and we possess combat skills as melee weapons, firearms, and other things.

Warhammer 40,000: New figures for Necrons

2012-05-06T18:29:00.000-07:00

Personally, i hate the necrons, every time that i play Warhammer 40,000 Soulstorm they kill me, but, anyways, here we have it;

Virtual Tabletop Gaming

2012-05-02T18:30:00.002-07:00

Did you see it? This is a new future for rol gaming, you can do anything here. The creators of this are Roll20, who says;

''Roll20 brings pen and paper role playing games online the right way, by focusing on storytelling and camaraderie rather than gameplay mechanics.
While looking through the current virtual tabletop offerings, we were struck with a realization: we don’t want to turn our pen and paper gaming into a video game. Unfortunately, that’s what all of the current alternatives offer, with features centered around scripting, automatic damage calculation, and detailed stats tracking. This focus requires that the game master spend far too much time preparing the adventure, and it removes all of the magic from the GM and instead tries to put it in the hands of a computer.''

Im waiting for buy one.

Warhammer 40,000 : The Dark Eldar

2012-04-20T18:28:00.001-07:00

Well, another race that I really like are the Dark Eldar. Actually, to be explicit, at first I disliked, but I had to use them, and I realized its true power, I understood that they were a very good race. Here I will tell you more about them.

The Dark Eldar are a Kindred of the Eldar, an ancient and advanced race of elf-like humanoids. Their armies usually have the advantages of speed, though they are often lacking in resilience. They are the thematic equivalent of the Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves, and indeed Dark Elves in general. Because of their affinity for bloodlust and inflicting pain on their foes, they are generally considered an evil race and the miniatures reflect this, with spikes and jagged armour plates being common features.

The Dark Eldar are depicted by Games Workshop as a race that is sadistic in the extreme, revelling in piracy, enslavement and torture. Like all factions of the Eldar race, the Dark Eldar have access to technology that is extremely advanced by human standards. Players of Dark Eldar armies may select various anti-gravity skimmers such as Raiders and Ravagers (Troop transports and mobile weapons platforms, respectively) to launch high-speed attacks. They strike with little or no warning, using an inter-dimensional labyrinth known as the Webway to traverse the galaxy safely and far more quickly than most races are able to with their Warp jumps.

The Dark Eldar are unique amongst the Warhammer 40,000 factions in the sense that they do not occupy one or more planets, but rather one city, Commorragh. Commorragh has always been portrayed as a colossal city within the Webway, and in November 2010 it was described to be in actuality an amalgamation of several cities and realms located within the Webway, having started as a single port but since Vect's overthrow of the old houses had grown to amalgamate these new territories such as Shaa-dom and Iron Thorn.

Here you have some pics of them;

Warhammer 40,000: The Titans

2012-04-13T06:14:00.000-07:00

Well, I recently did a publication about The space marines and this time I bring something much more monstrous, a publication on the Titans. The Titans are giant robots made by the Empire of Man to battle against chaos and other enemies. Here I brought some pictures of normal Titans Games Workshop and also a titan I found handmade.

Warhammer 40,000 Figures

Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium No Longer an MMO

2012-03-31T07:27:00.000-07:00

THQ has announced that Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium Online is no longer a massively multiplayer online game. Now simply called Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium, THQ says the game will instead become "an immersive single player and online multiplayer experience with robust digital content, and engaging community features."

During an earnings call last month, THQ CEO Brian Farrell noted that the company was "currently seeking a partner" for Dark Millennium Online. Today, Farrell said that "we have been actively looking for a business partner for the game as an MMO. However, based on changing market dynamics and the additional investment required to complete the game as an MMO, we believe the right direction for us is to shift the title."

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

2012-03-21T11:25:00.002-07:00

The minds of New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston have combined to create Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, a new role-playing game set in a world worth saving. Build the character you've always wanted and continuously evolve it to your style of play with the revolutionary Destiny system. Choose your path and battle through a master-crafted universe featuring some of the most intense, responsive, and customizable RPG combat ever.

I wanted to talk about this specific game because it has everything you want, role, a unique character creation, thousands of weapons and armor. In fact, if you see, is very similar to Liniage II, but when he has a history and that personal touch that we all want, it becomes something else entirely. Here is the trailer;

King's Arthur 2 The Role Playing Wargame

2012-03-09T18:32:00.001-08:00

This game is one of the best strategy, for me, after the Age of Empires II: The Conquerors, but in contrast with it, contains what is that to all who read this blog, role. In the game you can choose whether you are Christian, evil, good, or chaotic battles as well as missions that you choose or how to develop them, creating your own story and your own game, here's the trailer, I hope you like;

Darksiders II

2012-02-26T17:08:00.002-08:00

"Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." This verse from the Hindu book of scripture echoed in the mind of Robert Oppenheimer as he watched the mushrooming cloud of devastation that was to be his legacy. It could also serve a pretty catchy tagline for Darksiders II, which has a new protagonist: Death.

But this isn't a reboot. The narrative of the sequel unfolds concurrently with the events of the first game, weaving in and out, giving players a slightly different perspective on the Apocalypse. With his brother accused, Death sets out to clear his name. This is the argument of the Darksiders II, i give to it a 10, you will see why;

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Milennium

Well, now wanted to talk about a specific game, clreado by the master of horror, Clive Barker, creator of two really good horror games, specifically, one of which I speak today, Clive Barker's: Jericho. The game has a really good story, telling about a top secret military group, a group of soldiers with extrasensory powers, magic, rituals, and many more, such as telekinesis or piroquinesis. The game speaks on''Firstborn''so perfect a being created each day add, who rebelled against him, being exiled to earth, where the heroes must fight against it. Here is the trailer;

The different periods in RPGs

2012-01-08T12:38:00.000-08:00

One of the important issues in RPGs is the time which is set. On the one hand, we have a large number of games set in medieval times, as The Lord of the Rings or Dungeons and Dragons as two great games that have elements of fantasy and magic and fantastic creatures great battles. In fact, the lord of the rings have a movie, and various games.

On the other hand, we have futuristic role-playing games, such as the popular Warhammer 40,000, located 40,000 years after the normal universe of Warhammer, a medieval game, which became highly successful science fiction, found in various games such as Warhammer 40,000; Spacemarine

Rol in books

2012-01-05T09:06:00.000-08:00

Now highlight one of the RPGs I've seen, excelenticimos on narrative, and very attached to the concept of role that people have about the medieval period. This collection of books are''The Chronicles of Dark Elf'', written by RA Salvatore, which tells the story of a dark elf named Drizzts Do'Urden, who lives in the Underdark, amidst all the hate and society spite of the dark elves. History will show details, training, and the battles of the character, to an outcome such as is made good, and better yet, take a walk on the surface, and no longer in the Underdark.

The Battle

2012-01-02T10:27:00.001-08:00

The idea of the game is to create something really gory, or scary. In the first instance, if you want to chronicle fear, may include errors for the characters, visions of things really bloody, dismembered, and characters from fear, or if you want to create a game of action, should include large numbers of monsters while adding large numbers of survivors, something they can use heavy weapons, and tactics to defeat all the monsters.
