You know what we’re talking about. The box of cereal that you love seems smaller? Am I seeing things? When was the last time I went shopping? Do I need glasses? You’ve seen it before people, manufacturers putting the same product in a smaller package and charging you the same amount. Why not be honest and just charge more, right? They do this all the time and you have to let them know that you know. Personally, I boycott for a little while. In Florida we have $1 stores (everything is $1 www.dollartree.com). Some of the stuff they have really works for me and saves Sidney and I a lot of money. Toilet paper, paper towels, zip lock bags, coffee mugs (disposable and regular), saves quite a bit from regular store prices. Bottom line; watch the prices and sizes of the items you buy, that money can add up to big savings for you. Check out Good Morning America article on their investigative reporting.

I can’t believe I put dollar $igns in the title, but honestly its for attention (and cool factor), not to be like the big corporations swooping down on you to get your money this holiday season. You know we like to save you money, saving money means more money in your pocket and savings account which you can then use to pay down any debt that you have. Anyway, your going to shop, we just hope we can help you shop smarter. Use those big company tricks against them and take advantage of savings where ever you can. My point; Big Black Friday is coming and ads by the big chains have been “leaked” onto the internet (ya right). So use the info to plan your holiday shopping now. I always forget about the “ghost charge” on my credit card. I just made that name up and I like it. When you swipe your credit card or debit card at the gas station, there is a certain amount of money that is put “On Hold” on your card. Gas companies used to have a $75 dollar temporary hold but that rate recently went up to $150. What does this mean? If you go shopping right after you gas up, your card could be declined for insuffucient funds; depends on your credit limit and or what ever balance you currently have.
