 Seamless Restaurant Staff Picks: Burgers

We pride ourselves as being pretty food knowledgeable. We’re all about it, whether it’s eating it, talking about it, or ordering it, we’re experts at food (at least we think so). And, we’ve all got our favorites for different cuisines and flavors. It’s high time we share some of those with you. Today, we’ve got our most favorite Burgers for you!

Elliott B. (Partner Marketing): Black Shack in Manhattan. I took my Pops here the other day while he was visiting NYC, and it only took one bite from this magical beef patty to elicit the, “Damn, this reminds me of my favorite burger joint back in the 60’s stories.”  Sitting through painful stories is a slog,  but it’s 100% worth it to eat these delicious burgers.  Just know, this is not some massive burger that only a snake with an unhinged jaw could eat.  Rather, it’s an incredibly seasoned, nicely portions burger that just melts in your mouth.  It harkens back to the days of the roadside burger (from what my father tells me), and if that is the case, I sort of wish I was born then so I had more access to these burgers.  For now, I’ll just settle on Black Shack once a week.

Thomas S. (Partner Relations): When I’m at home and in need of a good burger, I typically turn to The Burger Guru in Williamsburg. They offer a great selection of burgers, package them really well, and are always very fast.  I’m a fan of Grandpa Leo’s Burger because it’s a whole meal in one sandwich. Mr. Leo must hail from Pittsburgh as they add fries right on top of this behemoth, complimented by melted swiss, onion strings, and apple wood bacon; The Pat LaFrieda organic grass-fed beef doesn’t hurt either.  While this particular option might not be too health conscious, they do offer lots of healthy choices and all burgers can be substituted with bison, antelope, lamb, ostrich, or even free-range chicken. You really can’t go wrong with Burger guru!

Jakub D. (Chicago Sales Consultant): The Bull & Bear Burger at the Bull & Bear in Chicago. It may be $18 but it is worth every penny. Kobe beef smothered with red onion and smoked bacon aioli lets you taste each of the ingredients with every bite. Paired with truffle fries it is definitely a full meal.

Ben B. (LA Sales Consultant): I normally go out of my way to try food from a number of places but every time I am in the West Hollywood / Mid City area and feel like a burger, I go straight to Cayenne Café. Their Animal Burger has me addicted, with a double pattie and turkey bacon, top with Mozzarella, tomato, avocado, red onion, lettuce, and aioli it creates a unique but perfect combination for a burger. My searching has stopped, Animal Burger every time!”

Zach Y. (DC Sales Consultant): The Cajun Burger at Desperados Burgers and Bar in Washington, DC. The spices combined with the mustard make this my go to on U St.  When I am feeling a little festive I’ll throw some bacon and avocado on top to taste the good times.
