Burberry and Chanel have a fresh, young face—it's Emma Watson's. But now the budding starlet is branching off to create her own fashion line. The best part? She's doing it all for charity.

Emma's line will be geared toward the teenage set and rumor has it that she's been taking advice from her fashion designer pals like Karl Lagerfeld, which means her line is likely to be hot hot hot. All profits will benefit the children's charity UNICEF. Emma currently models for some of top fashion houses, namely, Burberry and Chanel.

We didn't know they taught fashion design at Hogwarts, but clearly this Harry Potter star knows what she's doing. Finally, a young celebrity who is both talented and selfless; nice to see more of that these days.

Gone are the days of cotton and microfiber, now we're talking silk and cashmere. According to Telegraph UK, the Austrian tights titan Wolford saw its profits increase by 84 per cent this year, with tights sales generating an annual turnover of about 70 million. The British hosiery market is booming, too; it was worth £272 million last year.

So what are the styles we should be looking for this winter – and are they really worth forking out on?

"Grey and purple are the big colors right now," says Laura Godsal, founder of online hosiery mecca mytights.com. "Ribbed woollens, especially in grey, are the ones everyone is after and stirrup tights are also going to be big. Pretty Polly makes some wonderful metallic tights, too, which work well with this season's fashions. And everyone's favorite, the classic black opaque, is still the style to be seen in."

If tights really make an outfit then spending a little more makes sense," says Tree-Patel. "Sales are up on last year and they're growing each week. I think it's a change in the way people view tights; they're not just a necessity but a fashion item in their own right."

Christian Siriano of Project Runway fame is officially a superstar. It's no secret he's officially crossed over to the world of haute couture, but his true right of passage occurred when he showcased his fall ‘10 collection at the Bryant Park Tents--for Payless. Yup, he's arrived.
