Malaysia put up strong show to lift AFF title for the first time
by ERIC SAMUEL reports from JAKARTA

MALAYSIA dished out yet another strong performance and were crowned champions of the Asean Football Federation (AFF) championship at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta last night.

They were beaten 1-2 by Indonesia in the second-leg final match but a 3-0 victory in the first-leg encounter at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Wednesday proved to be enough for them, claiming the Suzuki Cup 4-2 on aggregate.

It was the first time Malaysia won the AFF championship title since the biennial tournament was introduced in 1996.

Malaysia played against a desperate Indonesia last night in front of 95,000 spectators.

And they made it more difficult for Indonesia to save the tie with a specatacular goal by Mohd Safee Sali in the 53rd minute. Safee, who scored a brace in the first leg, took his tally five goals and won the Golden Boot.

Muhammad Nasuha equalised in the 71st minute and Malaysian centreback Mohd Muslim Ahmad nodded in an own goal to give Indonesia victory on the night.

The young Malaysian side kept their composure and showed great determination to emerge as the champions.

Indonesia were without their inspirational flanker Okto Maniani, who was out on suspension, while striker Yongky Ari Bowo was not in the starting list due to injury.

Their replacements were Arif Suyono and Irfan Bachdim.

As expected, Indonesia, who had beaten Malaysia 5-1 in the opening Group A match at the same venue, came charging from the first whistle. But the Malaysian defence, marshalled by Mohd Muslim Ahmad and Mohd Fadhli Shas, did well to keep a tight leash on the two Indonesian dangermen Christian Gonzales and Irfan Bachdim.

Indonesia won a penalty when Mohd Sabree Abu handled the ball in the 15th minute. But much to their disappointment, skipper Firman Utina’s tame shot was easily saved goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.

The Indonesians, desperate for an early goal, kept on pressing but Khairul stood out, warding off at least five attempts from them before the teams went for the break.

Malaysia looked dangerous on the counter attack. Against the run of play Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin sent a long through ball for Safee to chase and the Selangor hitman finished off clinically put Malaysia in front in the 54th minute.

Indonesia now needed five goals to beat Malaysia and they had to take desperate measures and introduced their aging star, Bambang Pamungkas, for Irfan Bachdim at the hour mark.

Despite a goal down, Indonesia never gave up and their persistence paid off when defender Mohd Nasuha hit home the rebound off a save by goalkeeper Khairul in the 72nd minute.

Then with the clock ticking away, Mohd Muslim handed them a goal off a goalmouth melee in the 87th minute.

AFF Suzuki Cup Final : Malaysia vs Indonesia - First Leg

Malaysia trashed Indonesia 3-0 in the first leg of AFF Suzuki Cup final @ Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. It was a great match with high and low feeling.

Mohd Safee Sali scored the opening goal after a great move & saved by fellow teammate, Norsharul Idlan Talaha.. He stole the ball from Mohammad Nasuha from the right and burst into the box from the byline before finding Mohd Safee Sali with an open chance to score at 60th minute. At 67th minute, Norsharul did the same effort to pave the way for substitution Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin to score the second goal. Safee scored the third goal for Malaysia, nodding in a cross from Mahali Jasul at 73th minute.

In the middle of the game, there is disturbing behavior from the fans and the game had to be stopped for 10 min. The Indonesian player complained that the local fans dazzling the laser beams at them. The management had to seek help from both police & security force to calm down the fans before proceeding the game.

K. Rajagopal, the coach, said that the boys did their jobs well after the breather. Malaysia will face Indonesia in 2nd leg at Indonesia home ground at Wednesday and hopefully they can hold the game and win the AFF Suzuki Cup.

最近突然碰见我的前女友(也算是前未婚妻).
真的想不到會在那個情況下碰到她.
想躲開他都躲不了.

已經過了六年，她还是没有设么变.
还是一样那么的瘦，那么的美，只是样子看起来很累.
应该工作的压力.

我们在附近的 mamak 坐下.
面对他真的超不自在.
不知道该说设么.
我们坐下已经有一分钟, 但两人都是静静的不说话.
我假装在打短信.

她说了第一句话，

"你还好吗?"

之后我们开始聊很多话题.
全都关于这六年大家在做的事情.
过了一个小时后，话题多开始少了，我都是在听多过讲.

突然，她说了我们在一起的时，真的很快乐，很有幸福的感觉.
我听到了她说这句话，脑里一片空白.
不知道该说设么. 她看着我的时候，她的眼神突然变了.
好像想暗示某个事情.
虽然她是笑这说，但表情和神突是悲伤.
我都觉得很不自在，然后就想借口要离开.

离开前，她问我还有机会在见面吗.
我就说了一句很不该说的话.

说完了,我就立刻走了.

Yesterday was one whole fun day~ Meet up with Evie, Ah Wai, Daniel, Aaron, Jane & David. Jane and Evie were on house hunting in the morning. I think the PJ group is getting bigger and bigger. *when will I move to PJ as well??*

The gang meet-up at TGIF, The Curve for some drinks. We had a good chats among ourself. Random topics. But the main thing we are teasing Daniel and his "wife", Chia Yen a.k.a. pp. She was at Cameroon Highland with her relatives. *No wonder Daniel show up* =D Then David arrived later. So, from Daniel we shifted target to David. His got quite a number of story. The best will be the story of "My hand is so cold, your are are so warm". Wahahahha....

Then, we moved to Lekar-Lekar to enjoy ice-cream and continue David's Story. The Ice-cream there were so nice. I tried the Carribean Mix (Mixtual of tropical fuity) & Apple flavour.

After sitting there for an hours, we move on to cinema and bought tickets for CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT movie. Then, we went to Teppanyaki Japanese Restaurant at Ikano for dinner. It was descent only because so tasteless. Chief problem I think. =.=" David was telling us some jokes but FAILED cos it was so cold jokes. Everyone was laughing at him not the jokes. As what Aaron said, "We are laughing at the Joker, not the jokes!" =D *David don't angry, we are just joking* But he manage to get a few good jokes in the end.

After dinner, we headed back to Cineleisure for the movie. It was a descent story. Not much fighting scene and it's rather talk more than action. It should be like an Introduction chapter, might have part 2.

New Year 2010 Resolution !!

Here is my new year resoultions (not sure i shall post it or not)

Get myself a new car. Current car can categorized as junk ledy T_T
Get a new lappie for myself. It's hard to get online when I'm at home as using roomie's one.
Change a new phone. Perhaps either Iphone or Blueberry. Hope that my current company is promising one (this one a bit doubt). Increment of salary will be good !
Improve my badminton skill so that I can compete with above average or Intermediate level. Hope to participate some tournaments.
More saving more saving ! T_T
Less smoking (price increasing again! damnit) lmao!
To start plan my house buying plan. At least enough money by end of 2010 for deposit.
To change of my lifestyle from appearance to routine or anything. Trying to improve myself
If fate come, I don't mind to leave Single's Club ! ROFLMAO
Bought a DSLR for myself.
Start blog frequently !! hahahahaha

This is for 2010 for now. If there is anything come out of my mind, I shall revise it =D

My 1st post of november...

Yesterday went to play badminton with the fella gang at PJ...
After that, lepak at mamak until 2am..
Slept at 3.30 am...
Today wake up a bit late then my usual time...
Went out to client place to pass sample mock-up in the freaking hot afternoon...
Client show "bohsongness" face to me due to some misunderstand in quotation...
And now my brain is jammed...

Freaking tired!!!!!!!!!!

The Ghost Month

Today is the 3rd of the Ghost Month in Lunar Calendar...
Therefore, I wish everybody Happy Ghost Festival Month
and be more extra careful especially during night....
There is a lot of "pantang-larang" by the old people...
It's depend on you whether to believe or not...

The Taiwan people refer to the seventh lunar month as "Ghost Month," the first day of which is called the "Opening of the Gates of Hades" since it is believed that the gates of Hell are flung open on this day to allow the ghosts and spirits of the nether world into the world of the living for a month of bacchanal of food and wine. This earthly party comes to an end on the 30th day of the month, called the "Closing of the Gates of Hades" since the portals to the spirit world are shut once again on this day. On the 15th day of Ghost Month, many people stay at home to avoid an unlucky encounter with a ghost out enjoying the Ghost Festival; and special care is taken to avoid walking near riverbanks where a water spirit may easily steal the body of the living.

Opening of the Gates of Hades

According to legend, the gates of Hell are opened at the break of dawn on the first day of the seventh moon, letting the anguished souls in the world darkness return to earth to visit their descendants and enjoy the feasts prepared in their honor. Ghosts without families to return to wander aimlessly across the earth. To avoid being harassed by these outcasts, people offer sacrifices to the homeless ghosts as well as to their ancestors on this day.

When the gates of Hades are closed again, people make a ritual offering of food at the main entrance to their homes, lighting incense and burning paper money for their ancestors to use in the spirit world.

Closing of the Gates of Hades

It is said that on the final day of the seventh lunar month or the first day of the eighth month, the gates of Hades are closed, sealing the spirits back in darkness. At the appointed time of closing, a Taoist priest chants liturgies while holding a "seven-star sword" to let the ghosts know that it is time for them to return to the underworld. When the gates are shut, the priest cups his ears to avoid being deafened by the wail of the spirits lamenting their return to Hades.
