This picture really doesn't do this sign justice...It is so much cuter than it looks here. I am actually working on three others of the same, but I think we will color the word Icing and Cupcake in a red, and possibly some other colors. This one will probably stay in my office just for me because I really love the way it turned out. I also sanded it down a bit to make it look more distressed. Chalk boards/ chore boards...

Aren't these little chalk boards way cute! I love them and i have a bunch for sale on my etsy shop.They really are perfect to hang on your kids bedroom door or on a wall, perfect for the kitchen to write down a little list of things you might need.I made one for our 12 year old as a chore chart and that way I don't have to get after him everyday.He knows exactly what needs to be done! Perfect. I'm loving these.

Rob and I have been trying to focus on doing something to help us get out of debt faster and to also make it fun for our family.Right now I have kind of changed direction with my Etsy shop to do something that I really love(Sewing is ok, but really not my thing) and so I have started making custom signs.It is something that I really love and getting my Silhouette Cameo for Christmas has made it so easy and fun.I try to work on at least one project a night, but of course having a Husband a little ones to take care of, that doesn't always happen...But I try.

Anyway, here are a few samples of what I have done.Everything is for sale in my shop(you can click on the picture on the left that says "My New Etsy Shop"), or if you are local(UTAH) you can just contact me and I will help you create something wonderful for your house and of course save you the shipping and handling charges. Right now I am working on a really cute chore chart that you can hang on your childs wall or door(that's where we will hang ours) and they can mark off what they have done. I hope to have them done tonight, and they will be for sale as well...Except one of them is for Damon :)

Tanner's Surgery...

I know I haven't posted for a long time....Haven't really wanted to.Our family has had a lot to deal with and some of it is unpleasant and it has made it very difficult to post anything...But I am ready to get on with life.stop focusing on the bad parts and make the best of what we do have.

So Tanner is officially 6 months old, as of yesterday. He is a very sweet baby.Rarely does he get fussy.He has started teething and so he is very drooly. He loves to eat and play with his brothers. He smiles all the time, except when he is approached by a stranger.He gets so serious.It is funny because he won't crack a smile at all.

We noticed a few months ago that he really wasn't able to focus on us and his right eye was pointed in towards his nose for the most part.He will use it, but not like he should, so we took him to Primary Childrens Hospital yesterday to see a specialist who deals with strabismus(misaligned eyes) and we were told that he would have to have surgery within the next couple of months, so that he will start using both of his eyes together to be able to see. If we don't do the surgery his eyes will never uncross and he will basically only use one eye to see with...

So that's it.We are doing it! He has to wear an eye patch every day for 6 weeks to strengthen his right eye.About 2 hours a day.He seems to be ok with it. A little bit fussy when the patch first goes on, but adjusts within 20 min or so. He is such a good baby and we love him so.Happy 6 months Tanny. We Love You!

Goodies, Fun Projects and New Hobbies...

For the last few weeks I have been trying to figure out some things that I could do to get my mind off of the stress that I have been feeling. I figured it was time for me to have a hobby besides photography that I could do while the little ones are napping or in the evening time. There are so many blogs out there that I love to look at and read with such fun ideas. I'll share some of those blogs later but look at the great stuff I got accomplished in just one week. The picture on top is my Jack-O-Lantern and Mummy Cake Pops.They are so delicious and super easy to make.Aren't they cute! I also made Tile Coasters. Super fun, and again, easy to make.The last big project was a quilt that I wanted to make for Rylan.I have NEVER done anything like this by myself, but the blog had a great tutorial and I was so proud of my finished rag quilt.I will list some of the fun blogs out there that I love to read in my next post.

I wanted to take the boys out today to take some new pictures of them all together and also to get some of Tanner before he gets too big to pose in this little basket I bought.I can't believe that he is already 2 weeks old and not only that, but that summer is almost coming to an end with the boys going back to school next week. I think they turned out really cute.

This our our new addition to the family and although he isn't the little girl that we were expecting, we think we'll keep him anyway. Tanner, we love you so much already. We cannot wait to see what fun little personality you have and the adventures that we will have with you and that you will have with your brothers.They are so excited that you are part of our family and so are we.

I have wanted to take these boys outside for a while now and with the weather finally cooperating we were able to take a dip in the pool:) and play in the new sandbox daddy was able to build this week.The babies were so excited to be outside and it was actually in the 90's today if you can believe that.I also threw in a shot of my very pregnant belly as I sat and enjoyed watching my babes in the sun.I felt so happy today just listening to them having fun and being boys.I really needed that today and I am so grateful to have these little ones and of course grateful that they have such and awesome big brother that will play along with them.I love you boys so much.

We were lucky enough to have really beautiful weather for Christian and Kati's wedding a few weeks ago. Utah has been crazy this year with the rain and snow and no one was really sure if the sun would really shine through for us. I'm still sad that Damon wasn't invited to stand with the Brothers, but I guess it is what it is and I shouldn't be surprised...Just sad.Rob and I are only in one family picture as well and I can't post that because we don't have any of the family copies from Kati, but I was able to take a few pretty good pics of my handsome men.

I can't believe my baby is 1 already.Where has the time gone?I have to say that he really is the sweetest baby ever.He always has a smile on his face, loves to talk and giggle and loves to sing....really LOUD.lol.He's not walking yet but he has an awesome army crawl and is starting to pull himself up onto anything he can get a grip on..even if that means he grabs the skin on your legs or anything else thats close.We love him to pieces!

Damon's Fifth Grade Class performed in "The Hope Of America" at the Marriott Center at BYU this year.They got to perform LIVE to the troops in Iraq.What an Awesome night it was to hear them singing all the patriotic songs.It has been many years since we have been able to attend a performance like this.When Christian and Alec were younger their Schools had many Patriotic programs, but it seems like in the last few years of Damon being in School, there really haven't been any.What a great privilege to live in this wonderful Country.

Life has been really busy for us this year. Having two babies with one on the way. Two kids that are in school and everything that comes with that and then of course THE DEBT that we are trying to pay off. I feel like there is no time to just sit back and relax and post stuff on the blog anymore. I always think about it hoping that when I put the babies down for a nap I can finally catch up with posting new pictures or doing something relaxing, but there are always dishes to be done, vacuuming, paying bills, laundry, stressing out about Alec's grades...oh goodness.I guess it's what I signed up for. Just wish there was more time in a day. Well, for now I am going to put off all the housework for just a little bit and add some pics of the kids.

Big Brothers...

Well we have one more Big Brother-To-Be in our house. We are expecting our last Baby #6 (am I really saying that?) in August. It will be another 4 weeks or so before I have an ultrasound to find out if it's a boy or girl so for now we are waiting in anticipation...

A New Beginning For A Happy 2011...

So it's a new year and we are all hoping it will be better and happier than last.Our family has had a rough year and I think we are ready for some changes.Some of the goals that we have set are...

Getting out of debt(everything but the house).
Having more family time with our kids and at least one date night a month for me and Rob.
Getting organized...This will be tough for me but I need to do it once and for all.
Having our family calendar up and running.
No more wasting money on eating out all the time and fast food stuff.
Getting back into shape.
Being Happier.Like I said, we had a really rough 2010 and we want to feel happy again.
Being thankful for what we have.We really are very blessed and sometimes forget all that we have.
Let our kids know every single day how much we love them.(with what we have been through with our oldest son, we have realized how precious our time is with our kids.They may turn out great and happy or they may do what Christian has done and leave our family with hate in their hearts and blame us for all of their problems)...
Plan some fun, yet inexpensive summer activities.
Stay focused on the big goal for the end of the year...NO MORE DEBT!!!and hopefully some other changes that come along with that.

Thankful to have these children in our family. Thankful for my husband and the hard work that he does everyday so that I can stay home to raise our boys. Thankful for the good life that we have together. We are so blessed.

Well this little boy is officially Two years old! It seems so crazy how quickly the time goes by when you are raising kids. We are so happy to have Caden as a part of our family. He is such a sweetheart.He is so full of energy and keeps us all on our toes.He has learned so much this year. Here are some of the things he loves and knows how to do.

He loves to eat fruit snacks and drink any kind of soda he can get his hands on.
He loves Chicken Nuggets.
He loves to skateboard with his brother Damon.(a two year old skating...how crazy is that?)
He loves his Baby brother Bronsie(That's what he calls him)and his big Brother Ally(Alec).
He can walk up and down our staircase all by himself(this still freaks me out a bit!)
His favorite phrase at the moment is "I Don't wanna"... lol.
He has learned how to count to ten.
He loves to sing and dance around the house... And in his car seat.
This list could go on and on. We are just so happy that he is learning so much and becoming such a big boy.We Love you Caden Dey!
