Adele’s performance at the Grammy Awards over the weekend was incredible and the standing ovation was certainly deserved. Did anyone else notice the huge rock on her left hand while she was performing “Rolling In The Deep” which looked like a diamond engagement ring and is rumoured to be 12.4 carats.

In an interview with US Vogue magazine after the awards she revealed plans to take a five-year break from music to focus on her relationship and spend time with new beau Simon Konecki. In the past she has put her career first which has led to heartbreak and failed relationships.

She said: “So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.”

Halle Berry Engaged to Oliver Martinez

Catwoman and James Bond actress Halle Berry has become engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez. He reportedly proposed with a square emerald and diamond engagement ring which she is now very happily wearing. The stunning ring has a large square emerald with diamond shoulders.

The good-looking couple first met while working together on the film Dark Tide in the autumn of 2010. Martinez previously dated Kylie Minogue for several years and supported her through her battle with breast cancer before they split in 2007.

This will be Halle Berry’s third trip up the aisle and hopefully it will be lucky in love this time with an ex-boyfriend beating her so badly that she was left partially deaf, when her first marriage was falling apart she attempted suicide and her second marriage ended because her husband was allegedly a sex addict.

Ex Factor finalist Cher Lloyd is engaged to her boyfriend Craig Monk with the 18 year old Swagger Jagger singer pictured wearing a small diamond solitaire engagement ring on her wedding finger.

Miss Lloyd has been dating Monk since last April after meeting him at the Mayfair hairdressing salon where he works and soon moved in together.

She said: “My boyfriend keeps me sane. He tells me to keep a grip saying you’ve got the best thing ever, realise you are the luckiest person ever. He whips me back into shape a little bit”.

Christmas is always a time for romantic engagements or break ups and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins and presenter Gethin Jones who have been dating since 2007 announced the end of their ten month engagement over the festive period.
The couple announced their engagement in February after Jones proposed with a £10,000diamond engagement ring on a boat in Mexico.

Friends of Katherine Jenkins said the singer's goal is become a star in America and “something had to give”. Those closest to her will verify that she is not one to dwell on thoughts of what might have been.She is very busy at the moment with her latest album and a tour that starts this week in Oxford before she heads off to Japan, America and Australia next month.

The Saturdays Rochelle and Marvin from JLS to marry in March

Rochelle Wiseman from the girl band the Saturdays and Marvin Humes from JLS have announced their engagement during their holiday in Antigua.

Rochelle was presented with an enormous heart shaped engagement ring surrounded by smaller round diamonds (pictured), which cost Humes £45,500 from the exclusive London jewellers Boodles.

The couple first began dating in early 2010, and it was reported back in July that Marvin was planning a romantic New Year's proposal after he booked an appointment at Tiffany and Co.

They only got engaged on Saturday but it seems they are planning on marrying in March. They are eager to tie the knot in just ten weeks time in order for their big day to coincide with their birthdays.

Rochelle will be 23 on the March 21st and Marvin will celebrate his 27th birthday a few days earlier on March 18th. The couple didn't want a long engagement that dragged on for months and think it is the perfect excuse to have one huge party.

There are now reports she is selling off all the jewellery Marc Anthony gave her including the stunning $4m (£2.5m) rare blue 8.5 carat diamond engagement ring in a bid to make a fresh start.

Lopez is also giving away clothing that was bought by Anthony during their romance and marriage and is said to only be keeping items that were given to their three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Elizabeth Taylor's Diamonds Auctioned

Dame Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery collection was auctioned yesterday evening when it set a new world record. Buyers from around the world phoned in to bid for the jewels, with several items selling for ten times their expected value.

One collector paid £375,000 for a diamond and sapphire ring given to Dame Elizabeth by Michael Jackson, while the 33.29-carat Elizabeth Taylor Diamond which was a present from Richard Burton sold for £5.5 million. The La Peregrina necklace (pictured) which isa diamond and ruby rope with a 16th century pearl pendant fetched £7.4 million.

The auction was expected to raise £18.9 million, but a new world record was set after it hit the £72.4 million mark making Elizabeth Taylor's gems the most valuable private collection of jewels ever sold at auction.

Part of the sale profits is to be donated to the Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation.

Sale of World's Largest Yellow Diamond

A 1110.03 carats pear shaped diamond which has been graded Fancy Vivid Yellow (the highest colour grading for a yellow diamond) will be sold today in auction at Sotheby's Geneva and is expected to fetch something in the region of $11-15M.

The rare yellow diamond was discovered in South Africa in 2010 and is believed to be the world's largest vivid yellow diamond being roughly the size of a woman's thumb. The prized stone has never had a single wearer and is being sold by the New York based diamond company Coral International.

Diamond Jewellery at the Emmys

The Emmy Awards last Sunday had some pretty impressive and different pieces of jewellery being displayed by red carpet celebrities. My favourite was Heidi Klum who was there with her husband Seal. As a fashionista it’s impossible to predict what she will wear but you can guarantee she always looks incredible. I loved her huge diamond floral earrings and matching ruby ring.

The Glee star Jane Lynch was also looking fab changing into several gowns and jewellery. My favourite was an aubergine coloured strapless gown which she accessorised with multi gemstone cluster earrings and matching jewellery.

Gwyneth Paltrow was one of several women who wore black diamond jewellery. She was in a sexy Emilio Pucci dress with black diamond drop earrings surrounded by sparkling white diamonds.

Women are becoming more and more interested in their engagement rings. Whilst years ago a man just bought what he wanted and the woman accepted it, nowadays, women seem to know what they want and they are going to buy it along with the man.

Is this ruining the surprise, the whole element of love? Does it have the same meaning, going out choosing your own engagement ring?

Personally, Im an old fashion women, feminists will hate me, but I think the old way is far nicer. You wait for the man to be ready to ask you, he chooses the engagement ring and his the one to go down on one knee and ask you to marry him.

Are women taking the spontaneity out of marriage?

Cheryl Cole, love her, stunning stunning stunning but I cant help but think the whole thing has been a publicity stunt from the beginning.

They kept it quiet, then it came out she was the judge, then they start going on about her accent, then the whole thing about the clothes she wore and the big hair....its been none stop Cheryl.

I cant help but think that she was never going to do X Factor in America but they were just testing the waters.

Yesterday whilst looking The Diamond Store website I swear I thought we had Pippa Middleton as our model. On the home page we have 5 changing images and all of a sudden the third one came up and I couldnt beleive it!

I think it looks just like her...what do you think?

Review of Magic Hair Schwarzkopf Extension

Ok Girls heres my review...

Over the past few months Ive bought a number of hair extension thingies, Im going to call them. Those ones that are round hair bands and I add it to a tiny ponytail and it looks like a have a much thicker bun than I really have.

Then I bought a few of those ones on small combs from Hennes, but they dont look too good, too cheap.

But then.....I saw this Magic Hair by Schwarzkopf in a long box. I wanted it for Christmas but my darling husband just didnt get the hint that I wanted it, even when standing in the shop for 10 minutes saying "THE DARK BROWN IS MY COLOUR".

Finally I saw them again and bought them for myself. I took it out of the box and there are 3 pieces, one thin piece with 2 small comb clips and 2 pieces with 3 comb clips and it also comes with a slide to hold the hair.

Ive been wearing them and noone has said anything but....wow, I thought your hair had grown quick!

As long as I blow dry my hair and straighten it with the good old GHDs, the hair looks great!

Absolutely brilliant!

Wow what an opening to the first live sho of so you think you can dance.

Kate Deeley wearing leopard type print dress, right on trend looking gorgeous as ever hosts the show. Arleen looks gorgeous with her white dress and heart belt detail and that gorgeous diamond necklace that was sparking all over the place, even Kat mentioned it. Arleens hair looking fab and shes looking younger than ever. Louise wearing a loose silver metallic dress, gorgeous as ever and wearing 2 rather large rings. Nigel, I think he is nice guy really. And last but not least Cisco, who looks a little strange with his hair the way it, personally I prefer the afro. What on earth is he wearing with those black pointy things?

The first act was sexy vampire dancing, danced by Katie Love, Bethany, Shane and Luke. Was good, personally not my favourite kind of dance.

Wow the second act, the hip hop dance with Israel, Rithy and Charlie were great. I loved it and could watch them all day long. Brilliant.

Danielle, Stephanie, Katrina and Gian Luca up next for the 3rd act. 3 girls and 1 guy starts off pretty slow but then gets moving which is good as I was about to fall asleep. beautiful dancing, so elegant but not my favourite so far....my fav is definatley the hip hop.

Tom, Paige, Lee, Matt and Charlotte...the Jazz dancers up next. OK Im loving this straight away, I love tap its so alive and energetic.

Kirsty Ryan and Alice up next, oh Im not too sure I like this, its all a bit crazy but that is the song I guess. Louise said they gave 100% but it was too smily and too over acted. Cisco said for once he is going to agree with Louise. Cisco looks weird tonight. Arlene gave all positive which was nice.

Dame missed the boys routine but what about the girls...wow weren't they fantastic. What a stunning routine. Even Cisco preferred the girls.

What wonderful news after all the fuss with Philip Schofield. Holly Willoughby gave birth today to her second child, a baby girl named Belle Baldwin.

Belle Baldwin was born at ten past 5 this afternoon and weighed 5 pounds 2 oz. Holly wasnt due to give birth until mid May and was still on This Morning with Philip up until a few days ago. But she started to have contractions early and so decided to stop recording.

Well done Holly!

Jack The 6 Year Old Boy on Fern - Jack 6 Years Old Painter

If any of you watched Fern today, you probably also did what we did and searched for more information about the little 6 year old Boy called Jack who draws pictures for people to raised money for Edinburgh Hospital.

On Fern today his whole family were there and what a wonderful idea. His little brother was ill and so Jack wanted to raise 100 pounds for the hospital. So he drew some pictures which he sold for 20p, 50p. Within a short time, he got his 100 pounds. Then they moved the goal post to 500 pounds, then 1,000 pounds and more..

Someone paid him over 360 pounds for one picture. The pictures are great, because they are something as adults we just cannot do no matter how hard we try. You say to him ok Jack I want a frog, a woman, a taxi and a bird in my picture and he does it and it looks great.

Jack hopefully you will paint me a picture one day!

Cheap Pearl Necklaces

Personally I have never been a fan of Pearls, but on Sunday we went for a lovely Sunday Roast with friends. A friend of mine, who loves her fashion turned up wearing, beige lace up broge shoes, navy 3 quarter trousers, a navy top with a really cute stripe cardigan / jacket on top, all topped of with a pearl necklace.

It really finished the outfit off and I really liked it. For the first time I think I may suddenly purchase a Pearl Necklace.

Rithely who is just 19 years old originally from Brazil dreams of being BIG.

Shes a great dancer, fully of energy, but I love Hip Hop anyway.

Luke Jackson also made it to the final 20 of so you think you can dance. Luke is 30 years old and rather gorgeous.

Luke has been dancing for years and does jazz, ballet and tap. Its funny how actually dancing isnt so camp anymore for men.
