2 weeks in 2020 and we are already seeing a lot of stuff happening around us. World War 3 has just been announced. The fires in Australia are getting worse. Some famous Youtube beauty guru’s relationship of five years just ended. Malaysia Baharu is not really ‘new’ where racism still rules. Aliff Aziz can’t control his lil bird, like usual lah. And so on.

So, what about you? Are you already chasing your 2020 goals or perhaps still trapped with happened last year? No matter what the situation is, I hope anyone who reads this could find your strength, center ground and the courage to get through yet another new year. I hope you get to stand on your own feet and never allow anything less than what you actually deserve. Tell yourself that you do not deserve the bare minimum.

Darling, if I can advise you something is that you deserve to be loved and adored. You should be cared in every best way possible that your mind, body and heart need and long for. You deserve to be appreciated and receive the same energy back just the way how you give your love, time and effort to someone else.

Never feel guilty letting them know what you actually want. Be unapologetically YOU. Never settle with someone who doesn’t vibe the same energy as you do. You deserve and should keep your standards high and speak your mind and thoughts freely without feeling ashamed or at fault. You deserve someone who could prove their own worth to you through actions and not just words.

You deserve anything your heart wants. Do remind yourself that you are more than deserving. You are worthy. You might be healing from past wounds but never stop growing. You have every right to feel all those hurtful feelings because after all you are just human. But then, keep your chin up, give your best smile and hold your head high, honey.

Because that is what a winner does. You gotta move forward with grace and courage. Keep believing that some good day, the stars will align in your world and brighten your journey. One day the heartache, lessons, tears and uncertainty will all be worth it. Remind yourself that you are your number one priority. Be your own number one biggest fan.

Sometimes You Have To Be Selfish

You try to follow whatever rules you family has set for you, even growing up you realise there are things just can't get along with some of them. You always want to be a good friend and ready to lend a shoulder for them to cry on. When in a relationship you will always put them as your top priority and make yourself second.

But after all this time, you are getting tired. You have sacrificed so much for others - your time, effort, attention, money and you get nothing in return of any sort from them. You don't get the same energy you always put into for them. Are you just a mere tool in their eyes to make them feel better? A place to consult their feelings? A person for them to talk to about their problems? Someone who, somehow, they take for granted?

It is getting tiring and you just want to start thinking about the most important aspect - YOU. What you actually are. Your worth. How you actually feel. What you actually want. Things you actually desire. Places you wanna go. Goals you have been keeping just for yourself because you keep making others wishlist happen.

This is when you have to take a step back and think what actually makes you happy. You only have one life to begin with and you can't just sit back and relax, satisfying everyone's needs while on the other hand you are not....happy. This is when you have to draw the line and tell yourself 'It is okay to be a lil bit selfish'. Focus on yourself and do all the things your heart wants and not just to let yourself be taken for granted. They can survive on their own issues or problems a little bit longer while you are having fun on yourself. There are times when you have to say 'No' and not feel guilty about it.

Even your mind needs some peace from just thinking about others. It is time to love yourself even more.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 Recap - Daenerys & Sansa Rivalry, Is It Necessary?

Fans of Game of Thrones have been waiting since forever for the final season and now it is here! The first episode kind of broke HBO’s record in terms of viewership with an average of 17.4 million viewers, beating the previous record holder Game of Thrones Season 7 finale with 16.9 million viewers. Meletop! Ye lah the series has been on a long hiatus for taking the time to shoot and prepare for the final season. Come to think of it I noticed I cant help to admire the beauty of every short taken in the episode. Cantik woi! Well-detailed and somehow boleh feel ‘Wow mahalnya shots ni semua’ macam tu.

This post contains spoilers so I warning korang kalau belum tengok, jangan baca!

So, what did I expect for the 1^st episode? Of course I expected to see some dracarys-worthy scenes with dragon fire and all. I do not believe that the Mother Dragon will hold back her dragons anymore since this is the last season but it kind of let me down dalam hal ni lah. Well I was tad too ambitious and the power hungry queen knows better lol. Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 1 recap sees quite a number of reunions, slow-paced story yang mana I think brilliant lah sebab they need this episode to lay down the foundation of the story line, plot twists and all for the next episodes lepas ni sampai lah the end.

One of my favourite reunions would be Arya-Jon since they last met back in Season 1 before Jon went to The Wall untuk serve Night’s Watch. Lama gila kot masa tu adik (ehermm cousin) dia tu masih kecik lagi. Then Gendry-Arya alamak omeyyyyy diorang ni. But reunion yang paling ditunggu dah tentu between Jaime and Bran like we all know how awkward would it be. Aha!

Then comes the march of the army of Daenerys Targaryen to Winterfell. My first thought was ‘wadehekkk’ I mean I get it with the gloomy weather and all and they are preparing for an incoming major war with the dead and not even done with the fighting against Lannister pun yang still ongoing. But still, the Northerners are far from welcoming and their reception is much more colder than the winter itself.

Lepas tuuuuu……Sansa. Sis first of all you look stunning! I will give you the credit while it is still due. Though I have wished for so many times to see you die since kau menggedik nak sangat kahwin dengan Jeoffrey muka penyek tu sampai melalak dekat bapak kau. Tapi kau punya muka kerek depan THE QUEEN halamakkkk terus rasa nak sumbat kau dalam kotak Poslaju hantar kasi dekat Cersei.

Here’s the thing, the people of the North dicanangkan sebagai bangsa yang ‘sangat setia’ compared to the other kingdoms. Even sebelum ni dorang ada raja sendiri yang duduk atas Iron Throne dekat King’s Landing but they look up to their own leader more. In this case yang dimaksudkan ialah the Starks. Sebab tu diorang berani angkat Jon as King of the North in the previous season in a bid untuk memberontak against Cersei. Diorang sangat berhati2 dekat orang luar they just don’t trust outsiders except their own. Okay I get it. So that’s why they do not give Daenerys the kind of celebration that fits a queen. After all, Daenerys is a Targaryen plus she did not grow up in any part of the kingdom but nun jauh seberang laut sana. But remind me again please, didn’t their own people betray the Starks when Robb was around? Didn’t the houses who proudly remind everyone that they ‘have sworn fealty with the Starks for a thousand years’ made a backdoor arrangement with Tywin Lannister that created the Red Wedding? But you people forgot ah? Now only you want to spit all this protect the North from outsiders shitz when you killed your own leader some time ago? Hurmmm……can’t relate!

I can understand lah with Sansa’s frustration with Jon who left the North to her to go meet Daenerys. But Jon keeps on telling her and the other lords that it was the right thing to do. His reason is just to get some help because they cant do it alone. He just wants to protect his people. Cant u guys understand that and not think about all this title crap? Apa kau ingat boleh menang dengan teriak ‘oH iM kInG oF tHe NoRtH!!’ waktu hayun pedang depan muka the Night King and terus that guy pecah bersepai dan kalah? Gitu? Pffttttt

Sansa is smart but sorry Arya, not the smartest. My eyes almost bled watching the scene where she ACTUALLY praises Sansa. Like, wutt? I really hope the rivalry between Sansa and Daenerys will end soon and actually happen for the greater good of their course. I mean they are two of the strongest women characters left in the men-dominated world, besides Cersei of course. Olenna Tyrell, probably the baddest bij ever in the series, is already gone. Plus we have never seen a good cooperation/relation between two strong female leaders in the series and we badly need one. Imagine if Sansa’s smart ass (kononnya leulss) combines with Daenerys’s fiery will walaweii no one can get in between them and Cersei will be roasted to death for sure lah.

I cant help but to think that the bad relationship (as for now) between Daenerys and Sansa is so dull and unimaginative. Like you guys really want to pit these two strong women characters against each other? Obviously this must be the idea of men among their writers. Meh.

2017 - Celebrating Losses & Joys

2017 was a bumpy ride. But I can say that it was also a fairly good year. I am going to honour it by celebrating the losses, joys, all ups & downs and smile for all the wonderful things. Yes, we all have drama in our lives but let's enjoy the positive vibes more in 2018 and not dwell in the negatives of the past year.

Heartbreaks, hectic work life, best family moments, challenging friendships, excitement of trying new things (seriously, craziest shits I never imagined I would do) - they all defined my 2017.

Growing up you will realise that people you started the journey with, some of them might not with you now, walking in their own paths somewhere different than yours. That is life. Loosing a friend or someone you truly love can hurt a lot regardless what the reason is and you will have to allow yourself to heal. You can be happy with your life with all the new people as time passes. The key is to always stay positive as possible and allow yourself to move on even it takes time for you to do so.

People come and go but treasure those who are worth it for you to keep. Even if I don't talk anymore with some of them, I want to reflect and forever be grateful for each of them for the beauty they brought in my life, even only for a brief moment.

So if you are among one of them - be it we used to be good friends or maybe someone who I used to....love (demmit I really don't like saying the 'L' word aha!) and you are reading this I just want to say thank you.

We might end up parting ways for whatever the reason was but it's okay. I believe that people do not cross our paths by accident. They come into our life for a reason - either as a blessing or simply a lesson.

I just want to see the good in people and fikir yang baik-baik aje. No grudges. No bad blood. Unless if you owe me my money. LOL!

To Give In Is Equivalent To Giving Up?

Give in.
Give up.

These two very similar expressions have different meanings and at times they can be quite confusing, I must say.

But I just wonder whether is giving in equal to giving up?

I always believe that we should never give in. Or used to. You should never, never, never – in nothing, even great or small, large or petty – never ever give in, except to convictions of your own honour and good sense.

But remember, there are times when you just need to take a step back and protect yourself from getting hurt too deep. So deep that you can’t even feel the pain and take it by mistake that it is pleasure.

Stop getting yourself involved with friends that only see you when they need you and will be gone off whenever you need them.

Stop hoping that your family will understand what you actually have been keeping to yourself. They are used to the thought that you can absorb it all. No. You got feelings too. You can feel the anger, sadness, joy, everything. Sometimes you get mad too.

Stop thinking that you don’t deserve someone you truly love. You might have said that you will always be there and you have already proved your worth and promise. But they failed to see it. Stop and just stop as they are blinded by their needs.

Walk away, and if you need be, run. And let them be happy. If your presence has never been appreciated, then there is a possibility that they would not even notice your absence.

Protect yourself. Because you deserve to be treated better.

Move On or Stay?

I used to believe that holding on and the will to hang in there can be viewed as one's strength. Years passed, and after a few failed relationships (of my own and others'), I got to realise there are times when we need to let loose the rope binding us from being freed, when things have been so rocky you can't see what lies ahead, when you finally come to your senses that it takes a lot more strength to finally stop, think about yourself and just let go. The hardest part is, to know when you need to do it.

They always bring up the same cliche childish mantra - if it is worth fighting for or if you really love someone, you should stay. But betul ke you guys can truly understand how hard it is to actually stay?

Sebab even if you can get everything fixed, cantumkan semula every piece of the broken glass, you might still get hurt, your fingers might get cut while doing so and at the end even if berjaya pun you will only see your own reflection from the broken imperfect mirror, crying. What you will see might and definitely wont be as perfect as what you used to.

Unless if you go buy another new one...

But kena tahu the risk, you might need to get used to the new one. Maybe you will like it, maybe you won't....and secretly hiding the broken mirror somewhere in your room that no else knows you look at it when you are alone, remembering everything. Memories you treasure. Mistakes you regret.

Yang (like how we used to call each other, every single time) u were always be there when I needed u dan untuk semua orang. Minta maaf u were all alone when it happened - something we all regret most.

We have known for years JR, back to the time when we both dekat Shah Alam. We got along so well.

We laughed so hard over our own silly jokes and we fought a lot too, tapi akan end up baik semula sebab u tau I xboleh marah lama-lama and end up akan tegur each other bermula dengan 'Eh, tercakap pulak' followed with us giggling lepas jeling each other in the most mengada2 way. Because we have made a deal 6-7 years back to always be there whenever we need each other. You had been more than just a friend, like a sister to me.

I bagi tau Mama right away and she was so shocked 'Allah, terus terbayang muka dia' she said.

Lepas ni tidak ada kawan gaduh, kawan ketawa menggila, kawan pergi tempat jejauh semata2 cari makan, kawan untuk teman cerita pasal life n masalah, kawan untuk borak sampai too deep about dreams n future life yang only we both know.

Tidak sangka belum move on lagi pasal Enor, sekarang u pergi tinggalkan kitorang. You are in a better place, jauh dari semua tentang dunia yang u tidak perlu risau lagi. How To Keep the Spark In A Relationship Alive?

Come to think of it, a few months back a friend of mine came to me for an honest opinion. Well, knowing them and myself pretty well, tidak lain tidak bukan mesti nak cakap pasal relationship. I’m not an expert, at all lah, but I always wonder why these people will always come to me for this. Hermmm. Had a thought to write about this because last Monday I myself stumbled on some random posts related to this and diri sendiri sekarang macam kinda trapped with the same thing, kot. Ehhh ngantuk pulekkk.

Well to cut it short, he was confused about the relationship he was in (or if jodoh masih panjang till now I dont know, im that type who has no interest at all pasal relationship orang hahaha (T.T) but if they come to me mintak pendapat it is a definitely yes I would always be there pinjamkan telinga mendengar dan bagi pendapat).

After almost a year in an amazing relationship he found something was off. Could it be between the two love birds or he was under emotional hormones for not getting the affection he wanted from the other half itu yang buat dia tertanya.

‘The spark is not there anymore, Izz’ he claimed.

True. Things like this do happen. You will find hiccups here and there when you are in a relationship. Bila cakap tentang relationship everyone will go ‘Alah, kacang je!’, ‘Banyak lagi benda yang penting nak fikir daripada pasal benda ni’ or simply ‘Relationship ni nothing lah, kalau ada, adalah, kalau xde ok jehhh.’

Boy, they are wrong.

For some, yes, relationship and the issues gaduh here and there that come with it are petty. Like takde hal lah. Sorry to say this, but for those who think relationship lightly I would say ‘OK’ je. But for those who take it seriously like me, it is no joke.

I dont simply fall in love with anyone. Yes I’ve had a lot (literally) of failed relationships along the way in my extra baggage. For whatever happened before I just took it for something I gotta learn.

Bila tentang relationship ni jangan harap nak jalan atas kelopak bungar mawar sentiasa, sebab ada masanya u will definitely get scratched dengan duri-duri liar. Lagilah jangan berangan macam kau mampu lari-lari dekat tasik bak Shah Rukh Khan dengan Kajol dalam Dilwale. Walau cantik nak mati perempuan tu dalam filem tu haishhhh. Even diorang dalam cerita tu pun amek masak 15 TAHUN ye baru dapat bersama. So cerita dia if nak get in a relationship, get someone yang could bring the best out of you when you are together. Again, tengok mcm that particular on-screen couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol yang no doubt they are the most perfect and famous jodi in Bollywood. The chemistry between them is so real sampai fans of both celebrities imagine hubungan diorang macam dalam movie tu sama in real life.

So what if the spark between you and your partner luntur? How to keep the spark in a relationship alive? Daripada terus wandering around in the dark and overthink (gotcha! Overthinking is soooo me) why dont you keep your feet on the ground, stop walking meroyan macam orang gila dan fikir how to solve it?

When you know what the problem is it would be easier to start finding the solution. Make a plan even it is a rough one in your head, as long as you fikir how to do it. Then execute the plan. It is not harder than rocket science so chill lah.

And the only way yang best to handle this situation is to face your partner. Janganlah sekadar whatsapp or hantar text untuk discuss. Kau bukan Taylor Swift boleh sesenang mintak break dari Calvin Harris guna telefon! Percayalah bila duduk semuka baru boleh tau masalah dengan lebih jelas. Atau boleh detect orang tu tidak jujur atau apa-apa lah. Paling penting, jangan lari daripada masalah (except kalau tidak tahan sangat macam dia buat something behind your back by betraying your trust then gooooo run aku sanggup sorak untuk kau! Heh)

Sometimes antara sebab kenapa the spark pudar could be sebab jarak. Jarak itu memisahkan. But a little distance is okay to keep the spark alive but too much of it could kill it in any way possible. Always, always remember that.

Hari Raya ni je lah waktu paling sesuai untuk kita pakat ramai-ramai jumpa. Majlis kahwin cousin engko pun belum tentu boleh jadi medium untuk kau jumpa dengan segala ahli keturunan keluarga kau.

Jadi, Hari Raya ni tanamkanlah segala jenis sifat yang baik. Sifat yang pentingkan keluarga. Sebarkan rasa kasih sayang dan bukan benci. Tunjukkan sifat muafakat walaupun sekadar ditonjolkan dalam bentuk masing-masing fokus semata-mata nak selfie, masuk gambar ke instagram dengan caption deep-deep tentang kehidupan, tentang relationship goal. WALAUPUN selfie dengan cousin yang sama ting-tong bersama sepinggan lontong dan kuah lodeh!

Jangan pulak engkorang duk tolong-menolong pergi langgar mana-mana bangunan. Semata-mata dek 'cerita' yang asal-usul sahihnya pun belum tentu yakin.

Belajarlah hormat orang. Belajar tahu erti persahabatan dan hubungan luar dari kelompok sendiri. Setia dengan kawan sampai sanggup runtuhkan kedai tapi kalau tahu atas benda salah,janganlah. Baik engko duduk rumah tengok TV sambil makan Kuih Suji.

Selamat Hari Raya untuk SEMUA orang! Makan berpada-pada, kalau tidak nak segala lemang ketupat naik ke dada. Dalam bentuk lemak. Pastu nanti meroyan badan dah naik. Mengada. Kbye!

Took AL from Jun 10-12, Rabu sampai Jumaat. Time lunch hari Selasa tu tetiba ada yang suggest makan dekat luar dalam group skype. Tidak dapat hidu pun ada udang di sebalik batu. Tidak dapat ya!

Enor kata dia nak jumpa kawan dia yang baru balik dari UK dengan pakwe dekat Levain. Tapi pelik kenapa tah Enor bawak hadiah atas tu. Dia create story lagi konon nak kasi dekat kawan dia yang dah lama tidak jumpa. After dapat meja dekat Levain sorang-sorang bangun turut bawah except Aini. Enor bagi alasan kawan dia dah sampai dekat bawah n Rein pulak kekonon nak pergi toilet.

Tapi tetiba naik dengan kawan imaginary yang sah-sah tidak ada tu tapi instead ada pavlova dengan candle atas dia.

'Sebenarnya kawan I tu tidak ada pun. Ini untuk birthday you.'

'HAHAHAHAHAHA'

Mulut ketawa ni tapi dalam hati 'Shit! Terkena aku.'

Terernya masing2 berlakon konon nak lunch luar sbb nak jumpa kawan Enor baru balik dr UK dengan bf. Dah dapat meja yg sorg turun kekonon kawan dah sampai, sorg lagi turun konon pergi toilet, sorg lagi diam je tapi muka mcm nak ketawa mcm nervous.

Tetiba buat suprise. Sib baik gigi sakit kalau x gigit memasing! Lol

Thank you guys. Sweet sangat. I love people I can be crazy with. Bersyukur dapat kawan-kawan dekat office macam korang. Sebab diorang ni lah definition sebenar pergi kerja itu fun!

So where is this person?

Tadaaaaaaa!

Yeayyy finally! Yes, finally, ada jugak tempat lepak untuk budak-budak Zalora nih. Cut to the short, maybe lepas banyak staff bagi idea yang demand to have a nice place untuk relax now sudah ada.

(ahhh yes, aku antara orang yang mintak ada tempat macam ni dekat opis. Yes, aku bagi idea through survey yang dorang hantar setiap tahun dekat staff. Tu antara tempat paling senang nak kita suarakan kemahuan, apa yang kita demand nak company improve. Kuncinya, jangan jawab merepek-merepek. Jawab dengan ikhlas juga. Kalau kau tidak jawab dengan betul, macam mana dorang nak tahu masalah or idea yang korang ada kan?)

Tahun lepas aku ada mintak secara halus yang bersopan (walaupun) thru survey tu mintak antaranya tempat untuk staff kekonon boleh lepak chill. Bagus untuk release stress. Tetiba, eh sudah ada tempat ni. Cool ke tidok?

So around March hari tu our new chill-out lounge dekat level bawah sudah buka.

Ada lah few games yang boleh main untuk enjoy macam Foosball ni. Bekalang tu ada tempat duduk-duduk, mesin gedegang air tin tu sekali.

Belakang tu ada tv boleh main Xbox, sebelah kiri (tidak nampak) ada tempat bean bags boleh lepak-lepak jugak. Kalau rasa stress sangat macam nak benam muka, pergi situ.

Ping pong pun ada!

Awak awak yang kat belakang tu pandai ke main tewww? Hikssss

So this is our new chill-out lounge, a place for us to enjoy a game of Foosball, play hard menari game joget-joget sampai berpeluh dengan Xbox, tempat nak lepak minum coffee kalau malas nak hadap rutin sama minum kopi time pagi-pagi dekat meja sendiri n of course, berborak sambil ketawa macam nak gila.

Let it go? Oh, is that really all I have to do?

Surely it sounds simple but what about all those things that come with it?

Letting go is like when you are ready to get on the train, but you have to either carry a big fat bag full of memories, or to ditch it. Either way would be hard to choose.

Last night when I was sitting at the fav corner of my room next to the window at 4 in the morning, like always, I looked out of it. Desperately hoping I’d see a white Toyota parked not far from the guard house. I had a thought.

PERGHHHHHHHH

Took me almost (ke lebih??) two years nak upload post pasal trip pergi Singapore dulu. Hahaha sorry, busy kerja lor.

Nak ringkaskan cerita, ni trip sambil bekerja sebenarnya. Kena hantar pergi HQ dekat Singapore seminggu, tapi at the same time lenjan berjalan jugalah satu Bandar Singa tuh.

Malas nak tulis caption dekat each gambar, sebab mostly lupa dah, so cuci mata sajor lah tengok gambar. Ok?

Dalam banyak-banyak kedai souvenir tu, singgah sini je borong key chain segala. Sebab kakak tu friendly. Dia kata dia orang Malaysia. Peramah n jujur. Sebab lepas rambang mata duk telek key chain bergantung tu, lepas bayar main tinggal beg-beg lain bawak yang aku beli semata. Bergegas jugak lah cari balik mana aku letak benda-benda lain tu. Panik iols! *urut dada* Sib baik kakak tu simpankan. Alhamdulillah.

Manisan. Kot-kot ada yang tertanya-tanya.

Meriah kedai makan ni! Dari jauh ku ingatkan mini zoo rupanya....

Mula-mula terpengaruh jugaklah baca kat blog lain kekonon ni antara tempat kena datang. Gigih berjalan cari Mustafa Centre ni siap pakai Waze ye. Ye, Waze. Nampak tak kegigihannya tu camne? Tapi........tidak masuk pun. This time aku mmg judge the book by it's cover lah sebab luas pesen macam store Mydin je. Peluh tidak sempat menitik aku terus blah dengan rasa 'Siot, mcm stok2 Mydin celah bedah mana je! Bazir lemak aku je datang sini' kau ghaseee???

Haaaa yang sini aku suka. Proper sikit tempat dia. Nak cuci mata tengok barang, cuci mata tengok orang semua lengkap. Haha!

Dekat KL pun ada Chinatown kan? Best tidak? Tidak pernah jejak.

Guilt is cancer. Guilt will confine you, torture you, destroy you. It's like a black wall. It's there but you just cant see it.

Been taking some time to look back what I did few months back and now I know why guilt is perhaps the best companion of death. Something that will haunt us, forever.

Pernah tidak buat benda yang salah, tapi waktu buat tu walaupun berbelah bahagi, tapi buat jugak. Sebab kau nakal kan. Degil!

Lepas tu, even kejadian tu sudah berbulan lamanya, kau masih fikir. Setiap detail macam dah kena jahit dalam sel-sel otak kau. Dinding-dinding tempurung kepala pun penuh dengan segala benda yang berkait dengan 'kesalahan' itu?

Oh yes.

Sampai tidur tidak lena, makan tak lalu even lemak kau menjerit mintak suapan, mandi pun setiap titis air tu tidak rasa (over!), setiap malam duduk dekat corner fav in your room sampai pagi mengenang apa kau buat.

Tidak best kan? Ya, itulah rasa serba salah. Yang akan terus menghantui kau. Asyik mengeluh 'Kalaulah boleh putar semula masa, mesti tidak nak terima, tak nak buat'. Tapi masalahnya sampan je boleh diundur, masa tidak boleh sayang oi.
