Missing test results

Some time ago The Doc mentioned tests being conducted on three long life batteries. Unfortunately the Doc would not get consistent test results. Accordingly, no results will be posted. Because the exact reason is unknown, it is best not to mention brands.

Battery testing

The Doc is testing 3 sets of long life Ni-MH batteries. As usual, nothing is going smoothly. One set has been tested but the results are well below expected. So perhaps a retest is in order. The other 2 sets do not seem to what to take a charge. Back to the drawing board to try again with them also!

The Doc has modified the testing procedures. The aim is to give the user more information about a battery set. After the test is run, the battery set will be placed in the La Crosse BC-9000 charger and tested again (using the La Crosse BC-9000 “Test” cycle). As the La Crosse BC-9000 charger gives individual cell capacity, The Doc and then publish that information. It is not an exact procedure, because the actual test results (using the UBA charger) are not coming from the same charging cycle as the cell capacity (the La Crosse BC-9000), but at least it is a guide. Another column has been added to the review page graphing the results. The individual capacity of 4 cells, together with the average of the 4 cells will be graphed. The first graph is posted today giving the Sanyo eneloop results. These tests have taken some time, but the The Doc has noticed some patterns that he will comment on in the coming weeks.
