Another epic trilogy is brewing between the Philippines and Mexico. It is maybe between again the future hall of fame candidate Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Juan Manuel " Dinamita " Marquez which have a tentative date of November 12, 2011. According to local press here,Pacman is set to fight for a third serving his arch nemesis from Mexico City. It was told that the former Mexican boxing champ already inked a deal with Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions a couple of days ago for a third and decisive boxing bout with Pacquiao that will be held again at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Marquez, 37, it was said that he will receive a guaranteed prize pot of $5 million plus an unspecified share in the pay-per-view buys. He will also receive $10 million plus a share in the pay-per-view in case Pacquiao will lose in that fight and if a rematch will be possible. The deal is almost complete and just waiting for the signature of Pacquiao to beformalized.

It is a little bit clear now that another encounter between the prize fighting greats will happens this year. And as we all now, Marquez is really looking forward for more than two years now to have another crack at Pacquiao. And with that in mind the mexican tried to fight Mayweather Jr. but unfortunately he losed which hindered his plan to fightPacman again.

For me, it may be a very exciting boxing fight to watch if the bout between Pacman and Pretty Boy Floyd will materialized. But since we have seen all the antics and craps of Mayweather Jr. that fight might not happen at all. Since there is no one to fight Pacman, Marquez will be a good challenge for the Filipino boxing icon.

In the rise of new technology, our lives changed dramatically. From the ancient "snail mail", now we have email. Before we need to call or meet our friends just for us to get connected with our peers. But all of that is now a history because we all now have Facebook and Twitter.

Facebook and Twitter revolutionized our way of communicating.

These two very effective and popular social networking sites

let us update our daily status in just a click. Which is far better than the conventional sms service that we are still enjoying now. The good thing about these two social networking tools is that it is not just allowing the user to have plain text updates but also lets them use other media like photos, videos, sounds and music clips as well as hyper links.

It also allows you to synchronize them with other social networking accounts automatically so you will not need to logged in to your other accounts.

Between Facebook and Twitter, there are some very peculiar differences that I know we are all aware of. In Facebook primarily there's a lot of very useful as well as very entertaining applications like game which the other social networking tools don't have. While in Twitter it is like sending text messages via the web and letting you post your photos via twitpic. But all of these sites are still evolving to catch up with our lifestyles so it ishard to make a complete comparison between them.

Well, personally for me I do like and enjoy both my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I love using these social networking thingy. They are a nice way to kill time and a great channel to share my thoughts to other people over theworld wide web.

But if you have that one million dollar question, which would you choose?

EDSA Peole Power: 25 Years And Moving

The EDSA people power also known as the EDSA revolution and the Philippine revolution of 1986 was a series of popular non-violent uprising of during the Marcos regime in 1986 which marked the restoration of democracy in this southeast Asian country. These protests were the culmination of a long campaign of civil resistance by the Filipino people against the authoritarian rule. Filipinos showed their unity to bring back their freedom by means of a bloodless coup. Because back then, many have experienced

hardship and oppression and the whole country is in chaos.

The resistance heated up due to the strings of events which eventually resulted in the withdrawal of support by some top brass in the government and lead to the downfall of the Marcos regime.

25 years have passed since the EDSA people power and the Filipino nation was able to restore it's freedom that it deserves. It also marked the Philippines as a very strong democratic nation in the world and we have learned so many things from the event. It taught us that unity goes hand in hand with democracy and we should always bear in mind that freedom is a precious gift to everyone and we should all respect it.

Things has changed now. We now enjoys the fruit of EDSA people power and our country is now moving forward to become a progressive nation. But the ghosts of the past is still hunting the Filipino people. It is sad to see that the diseases that plague our society 25 years ago is still in our system up to this day.

Corruption, human rights violation and poverty is still rampant in the Philippines and as time goes by we are forgetting what the true lesson that the EDSA people power taught us. And That is unity and freedom. The EDSA people power is not just another historical event for the Philippines, it is a big reminder for every single Filipino that we can make a difference if we have unity and democracy and freedom comes with a great responsibility.

As we celebrated this very important milestone in our history every the 25th of February, let us all re-live the true spirit of EDSA in our hearts. That is the only way for us to achieve what the EDSA people power tried to give us.
