Maggie's Nursery

Here's a couple pictures from Maggie's Nursery.

The walls we painted grey cause we didn't know if she was gonna be a girl or a boy. The Dresser/changing table we painted a bright fun traffic cone orange. The crib was my crib from when i was a baby made by my dad. The book shelves are also from grandpa Zint cause i might have requested them. The Rocker i recovered but originally it came from my grandmother.

We are still adding and moving things around to make them work for Miss Maggie, so there are a few inconsistencies in the pictures cause they were taken at different times. But its starting to feel feng shui. We are wanting to add Christmas lights somewhere since she likes them so much. :)

She hasn't spent a night in her room yet, she still sleeps in her cradle in our room, but she's had naptime in there.

After an emergency c-section Miss Maggie Lynn Roznik has arrived.
Born 11/30/11 @ 11:47 she weighed in at 5lbs 3oz.
I plan on telling the story at a later date but i wanted to share that she is here.

I want ... a Costumizer

I may have even blogged about this before. But i LOVE this idea that GS Design had back in 2009 as a promotional idea. Its 2 20-sided dice that have descriptions on it for mixed halloween/costume ideas. 400 different costume ideas. ❤ And now there's an iphone app with even more ideas!

Of course if i had it nothing would make sense cause the beauty of this house is how unique to the owner it is. But I hope to "condition" my house and my things so that one day i can have such a beautiful and inspiring home. AND I LOVE THE KID'S ROOMS. I don't feel like this home is over-commercialized, which is what i hate about some homes. And its in Austin. I get so excited when i fall in love with something, THEN i find out its in Austin!!!

1st i saw it on Apartment Therapy, then I saw it on Free People and i fell in love! Plus i love going to that store in the mall. Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Free People are my main 3 stops, but then again i don't buy anything, cause i'm on a budget. BUT Free People posted a DIY for this rug, and it might be exactly what i am looking for. i went to the internet today to find something that made me happy and it didn't disappoint. ❤

I'm having a baby in December. (I'm 17 weeks along)

This definitely directly corresponds to the fact that me and my husband against our better judgment were "trying". But none-the-less i found out on Good Friday that my life was gonna change ... drastically. Thankfully i haven't had morning sickness, and if i hadn't have seen two pink lines I wouldn't have believed i was pregnant for the 1st few weeks. I have had a couple food cravings (my sister says i was that way before i got the pregnancy bug) and a few symptoms you don't see on the TV (I'll spare you the details) but all in all i've been having a good pregnancy. I'm officially blaming everything that i do or don't do on the fetus, which is getting old with my family and friends but 50% of its probably true.

Everybody asks me if I'm "excited". I tell them "no", i'm worried, anxious, nervous, and scared. But my parents have "excited" covered enough for everybody. They could not be any more happy about becoming a grammy and grumpy (or gee-paw, still up in the air). But there is a reason that it takes 9 months, I am starting to feel a little excited about baby. I am completely amazed and in awe at the miracle of growing a baby, what's happening to my body and what baby organ i've grown today. I'm also obsessed with comparing the baby to the size of a fruit or vegetable (my phone app helps). I thought this was normal until i was caught in the grocery store coddling a peach very carefully with both hands. Its currently the size of a turnip now in week 17, which confuses me cause i can't picture a turnip.

We have decided not to find out the gender until the baby comes out, i have 3 girls' names and no boys', which i'm taking as a sign that this "thing-a-ma-jig" doesn't have a hoo-hoo. Boys names are hard. Also i'm relying 75% on the pencil test (where you thread a needle with thread and pierce a pencil eraser with the needle, and hold it above a woman's wrist, if the pencil makes a circle its a GIRL and if it makes a straight line its a boy) I've gotten girl every time. :) But Honestly i don't care what i have, as long as its happy and healthy, i'll be just fine.
