Pastor Tim explains that when leaving or entering a season you have a responsibility and part to play. Don’t reduce everything to the “natural”. Spiritual issues and principles are involved, you must cooperate.

Watch your words — Life is composed of choices and constructed by words. Whether you believe it or not, like it or not, your words hold tremendous sway over your path, life and destiny. Speak God’s words; don’t use your own mouth to speak against your hope. Watch your step - Pay attention, watching your steps. There is a path and God can show it to you. Realize that there are snares, traps and detours out there. The long way is better than the wrong way. All extremes lead to error, wrong emphasis minimizes and distracts from the vital.

Look for the “New” - Look for the “New”; after a fire or a flood, vivid and new growth appears. It won’t come all at once. Be cautious, don’t become cynical, negative and decrease minded. When you look for the bad, bent, and broken —you’ll find it or trust God, cooperate with and hope in him, looking for the good, positive, and amazing — you’ll find it.

Expect God to act. Allow hope and joy back into your heart. When He comes through, you shouldn’t be surprised, but always amazed. In the meantime, watch your words, watch your step, look for the “new” and remember to cooperate with Him.

Memorization: Ps 37:23 (NLT)

The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives.

After a week of sweaty gymnasiums, smelly showers, and leaky air mattresses, FUSE has returned! But what’s a mission’s trip without a little sweat and dirt? Our students showed incredible drive, passion, and maturity on this trip. We couldn’t be more proud! Here’s a little recap of what we did:

Ø Breakfast was served at 6:30 a.m. almost every day. Bright and early!

Ø We spent three days working on Faith Temple Church, where we pressure washed, weeded, mulched, sealed, dug, primed, painted, and much more! The result was astonishing and definitely a momentum-builder for the students.

Ø Each night we participated in a worship service. This gave our students a chance to recharge through God’s anointed Word and worship.

Ø After each worship service a time was set aside for each youth group to come together and build each other up through prayer and personal testimony.

Ø All week, we had been preparing a children’s festival on Thursday for the surrounding areas of where we had been working. It was a huge success! Over 50 children showed up with their families, and they were all astounded by the love and service shown by the students.

Through this trip (and everyone’s prayers), we were able to see amazing results, not only through salvations, but also in our student’s personal relationships with Jesus Christ. Thank you for all your support and prayers.

If you would like to see pictures of our trip, check out the FUSE flicker. Just click on the link from our website, www.fusesm.com.

Pastor Tim continues week 6 of Seasons by defining vision. Vision is not just a goal or hope; it’s what you can “see.” This is your perspective and it is connected to what you believe—your faith. To change your outcomes, you must change what you see and what you believe. Typically, you don’t just drift into better seasons or into practices of disciplines, generosity and obedience. Change require intentional steps often with something or someone prompting us.

There are five foundational beliefs which you must believe:
 That better is out there. Your current season is not your lot in life. You are not hopelessly stuck. (Psalm 34:19, Jeremiah 32:17, Jeremiah 29:11)
 God is for you! He desires the best for you. (Romans 8:31, Psalm 118:6, Psalm 124:1-3)
 God is with you. He is walking through this with you. (Jeremiah 1:19, Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 41:10)
 There is a path and God can show it to you. Remember to listen and obey His instruction. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
 Prayer has a part. Keep talking with Him; share your thoughts and feelings. (James 4:2, John 15:7)

We must learn to walk circumspectly—look around us; checking our vision and faith.

Memorization: Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV
“Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”
