He would never admit it and risk inflaming his progressive liberal base. They are already on his case for extending the Bush tax cuts, which suddenly were a good idea and just as suddenly now, aren't. This is just more of his spread the wealth philosophy only now he refers to it as "share the pain." The President has shown us clearly what his future plans are for the nation. It's the same old liberal democratic plans calling for more taxes and more spending, grow the government and lead us ever closer into a socialist economy where government will take care of everything but leave you with nothing. It is exactly why they got their butts kicked last November. It is exactly why Obama has resorted to class warfare. It's his only hope of stirring up the independent voters who have abandoned him. It's the old Democratic mantra, when all else fails, blame the rich they are the ones causing all the pain and suffering. If we just tax the crap out of them everything will work out.

Has anyone ever noticed how many wealthy Democrats hold seats in Congress? I will bet they all have good tax lawyers and accountants to help them "share the pain."

Related articles

Americans driven out of the workforce (brvanlanen.wordpress.com)

Obama Holding Debt Ceiling Press Conference (huffingtonpost.com)

Analysis: Obama `bully pulpit' remarks pose risks (seattletimes.nwsource.com)

Obama Ever Drumning The Class Warfare Beat (rantsandrage.com)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

<img border="0" i$="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-59FObPolIOU/ThGnRw-MJ0I/AAAAAAAAA9A/nyjjXZQgrQs/s1600/declaration1a.jpg" />
Time to wish a happy 4th of July to all, especially to all our men and women serving in the military. All he wants is to tax corporations and private jet owners, the same jets built with his stimulus money. Great idea Obama, you stimulate the aircraft business to create and save jobs, then tax those who buy them which will result in them not buying them. What a moron! Clinton tried the same thing with his luxury tax on yachts and diamonds and it was repealed because people stopped buying them. That's Obama leadership for you. He even had the nerve to tell them to stay and work on it through the 4th of July break. He said, "Do what I do, stay here and work. I've been working, on Afghanistan, Bin Laden, Greece." Funny how all of those have nothing to do with our domestic crisis. I'm positive the unemployed in this country are at least glad to know the president has not been on the golf course this week. Maybe next week he can find time to work on domestic problems and while he's at it he might try reading a few self help books on leadership. It's never too late, well, it very well could be in this case.

Related articles

A New Battle In Obama's Class War, Today's Press Conference (annem040359.wordpress.com)

Obama to Congress: Do Your Job (swampland.time.com)

OBAMA'S PRESS CONFERENCE: TONY KATZ COMMENTS. All the help and support from his lame stream media buddies will be in vain. Their credibility has been long lost continually trying to back up a president who is going to go down as worse than Jimmy Carter. The man connects only with the left and his popularity with Americans has worn thin.

And lets not go into the Bin Laden thing. He had no choice but to say go. To not do so or delay would have been political suicide, even though he needs no additional help in that area. His short popularity boost has withered away and left him with only the standard liberal talking points for re-election. Class envy, class warfare, unions verses corporate evil entities, more entitlements and of course tax, tax, tax. All of which will never boost the economy or help the unemployment situation. Make no mistake, everything he and the Democrats tried, failed, so bad in fact even he had to joke about his shovel ready jobs stimulus. No one was laughing. Since he can't get his ultra liberal job killing, economy busting proposals through Congress, he must resort to the use of backdoor policy making through his czars and agencies to subvert the congressional system and make a mockery of our Constitution. On matters concerning the military he has been even worse.

Only a fool would agree to a military surge, not commit the number of troops requested and then announce a timeline for pulling them out. Then announce he is pulling out more than recommended, leaving those troops left to fight on to pull a heavier combat load than necessary in order to hold on to the hard fought gains of the previous year. Senator McCain is right on this count but for Obama it's easier to play to his liberal base than do the right thing for our military. The political necessity on the home front is much more important than the political reality on the battleground and the President finds it easier to risk military lives than risk the life of his political future.

America can no longer afford the hopey changey ideals of Obama World and the liberal lunatics in charge of running the show. The Democrats realize their grip is slipping, no one is buying the crap they are selling and many of them are too aware that their boss has lost his luster. Not because Republicans were the party of no and refused to let Obama have his way but because he force fed Americans unpopular legislation and ruled by decree and deceit. He continues to do so and will pay for it in 2012. He simply has become the man that never should have been.

Related articles

Obama is going to follow in the steps of Jimmy Carter and Bush 41 and will do the One-Termer Dance. 10 Reasons Why: (ferrellgummit.wordpress.com)

Obama the Anti-American ??? (2012patriot.wordpress.com)

More Proof Of Obama's Sleezy Politics From the Washington Beat (rantsandrage.com)

WHAT FRESH HELL IS THIS?

<img border="0" height="240" i$="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GQVkj_U1uys/Tfy3f5bo8xI/AAAAAAAAA8k/BTdwAfaeBTE/s320/story_xlimage_2010_09_R3554_Nine_Circles_of_Hell_Relocate_To_Upper_East_SideJPEG.jpg" width="320" />
That was from a get well card sent to me this month as I lay in a hospital bed waiting for my next round of re-hab for a stroke suffered in May. The stroke has has changed everythig in my life right now, left me without the use of my left arm and hand, some speech and muscle controll in the face, but I am walking again with the use of a cane and have started out patient therapy. Mental concentration is hard, it has taken 3 days to get this far on this post. The phrase "What Fresh Hell Is This" describes my condition perfectly and I had to laugh when I received the card. Everything you used to do has changed. Bathroom, shower, shave, eating, sleeping, talking, writing, walking, you name it. My point is, to avoid receiving your own "What fresh hell is this " card, keep regular appointments with your doctor, keep your blood pressure and diet in check and above all if you ever feel that something is out of sorts, dizzy or confused, don't write it off as allergies, sinus, or lack of sleep. Head to the nearest emergency room, not an immedieate care center and get checked out. Even if it is false the money you may have to spend is well worth the time invested in checking it out. If it is positive they may be able to use the new clot busting drug on you. If caught within the first 3 hours of the actual stroke this drug can drastically minimize its effects on the brain and body but it must be used in the 3 hour time frame. I was dumb, I thought the symptoms would pass and delayed going to the hospital. They could have used the medication on me if I had gotten there sooner and my condition would most likely be much better than it is now.

I still plan to post on my blog and rant on about the burning socialist fires raging in Washington and putting them out in 2012, they just might not be as long or in depth as in the past. In the meantime, good health to all and keep regular check-ups with the doc.

\God bless to all and stay healthy.

Edisto Joe.

Take Good Look At This Sign!

As long as the Obama administration feels it is necessary to post signs like these on public lands along the border with Mexico, then there is absolutely no justification for his recent jokes about Republicans wanting to build a higher fence, a moat with alligators, or anything else that involves a secure border.

The President was down in Texas when he made the remarks, speaking before an amnesty friendly crowd on comprehensive immigration reform, which in his mind is nothing more than open borders and a free pass. There was only one person who could have put the "birther" issue to rest and we all know that was Obama. Instead he chose to let in dangle out there in the wind and kept the issue alive. Donald Trump is correct when he claims that he forced the issue with Team Obama and made them produce a long form certificate from the state of Hawaii. But wait...there are still some who believe this is a fake, a clever forgery.

It's time for Dan Rather to weigh in on the Obama birth certificate issue. Give him this document and let him do the extensive research on its authenticity. The left did such a bang-up job when trying to discredit George Bush's Air Guard service by releasing the memos supposedly written by the deceased Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, Bush's commander at the time, that portrayed him as below average and derelict in his duty.

This time, to be sure, the left and Rather, having learned from their mistakes, can safely say this document is original. Why? Because the dummies learned that if you produce a document from a certain era, you better be sure the typeface comes from that particular era and the machine used was actually in use where the document was written. Because the liberal left was caught and embarrassed, along with CBS and Rather you know that mistake will never happen again. They are much better at producing forgeries now.

So will this put and end to the citizenship question for Obama? Possibly, but maybe someone should see if the document was actually written on a typewriter.

Related articles

Birthers reborn: Now they think the long-form was a forgery (dailykos.com)

Barbershop Buzz: Is the birther debate finally dead? (thegrio.com)

Photo Shopped Birth Certificate ? (2012patriot.wordpress.com)

New at Reason: Michael C. He then went on to talk about the future and meeting the energy needs of tomorrow, blah, blah, blah...blah, blah, blah, solar power, windmills, electric cars and hybrids that no one can afford to buy.

Not once did the cool-aid drinkers in the media flinch, no debate, just the shaking of heads in agreement. Nothing that would point the finger at Obama and his energy killing policies, his out of control EPA, or anything that would put him on the hot seat or upset the Chosen One. They raked George Bush over the hot coals when gas was on the rise but Obama gets a pass and even though he was opposed to extending the tax cuts, he now claims that they were a good thing to help cover the additional expense the country is paying at the pump...almost as if in his infinite wisdom, he knew the rise in oil prices was on the way and this tax cut extension is just one small way he could help. It's the least he could do after helping to create the situation.

On Friday the President announced he wants to raise taxes. Go figure.

Related articles

Obama's Solution To Deficit: Spending Cuts, Tax Increases, Few Specifics, But A Clear Roadmap For 2012 (outsidethebeltway.com)

Don't Take a Nothing to a Gun Fight (talkingpointsmemo.com)

Obama asks Democrats help him 'finish the job' (nationalpost.com)

Obama to call for end of tax cuts for wealthy (whitehouse.blogs.cnn.com)

Obama Can Pay Troops...If He Wanted To

Under Reagan and under Clinton the OMB had directives to keep military pay intact for the troops during shutdowns. Why has President Obama not come out and proclaimed he will do the same? This man is the Commander In Chief of all our armed forces. Has his twisted liberal logic choked off any notion of responsibility to those he has sent into harms way? Has funding Planned Parenthood or the EPA become more important than getting paychecks to the men, women and families of our troops? How about using the leftover stimulus money to stimulate morale of the troops by issuing a directive to use those funds to help cover payroll.

At last count there was about 168 billion dollars accounted for in the pipeline. That wouldn't cover a full 12 months but should get them to September. Our troops are certainly more deserving than the bogus recovery act programs or the unions. Or how about figuring out a way to garnish the wages of Congress to help cover the cost? That wouldn't sit well with Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-California, who told MSNBC, "I have to tell you that I live paycheck to paycheck, like most Americans," she said, explaining that she has student loans, a 2-year-old son and residences on both coasts. "It's very difficult for me to say, 'Hey, I can give up my paycheck,' because the reality is, I have financial obligations that I have to meet on a month-to-month basis that doesn't make it possible for me." Tell that to a Marine over in Sangin, Afghanistan who just the other day saw two of his buddies blown away in an IED attack while on patrol. It would be nice if that congresswoman would take pause and think about the perils our troops face everyday along with the anguish and worry their families go through while they are away. They have "financial obligations" too and it sure is not worrying about how to pay for two residences!

Obama could ensure the troops are paid and as Commander In Chief it should be his top priority. Instead he would rather take a back seat in the budget battle, pander to his liberal base, and hope he can convince America it is the Republicans and the Tea Party that are at fault. As usual he is off course, providing no leadership and he certainly is failing miserably as leader of our troops. What kind of man can order our men and women into battle and not provide for them and their families? Worse, what kind of leader would even let that issue become part of partisan politics? It's no wonder a new poll says that Americans are ready for a new president.

Related articles

Gates Tells Troops In Iraq Paychecks May Not Come We would not be having all this talk about a government shutdown had the Democrats passed a budget last year before they went home to campaign for re-election. They had the majority in both houses in Congress and they could have easily rammed one through. They certainly had no problem doing it when it came to health care.

There should be no excuse for the looming closure in Washington. The Democrats simply did not, or would not do their job in 2010. Instead they chose to play partisan politics. It was a deliberate and calculated move on their part, knowing they were going to suffer losses in November. Don't forget, the rhetoric that Obama is now spewing out to the media on the importance of getting this done was totally absent in 2010, yet here he is now in re-election mode, trying to act presidential but in reality trying not to get his hands dirty. He has offered no real input or budget plan other than continue on a course of spending. Obama and the Democrats plans for cutting the budget entail spending cuts on programs already approved only to reinstate them at some future date. That's not attacking our debt, only prolonging it, a total irresponsible act given the dire situation we're in. Yet daily they face the cameras talking as if they have gone to great lengths to meet in the middle and voice their concern over the Tea Party extremists that they insist have split the Republican party, refusing to allow Republican compromise. It's true that Tea Party members along with others in the Republican Party would allow the government to shut down in order to get meaningful reductions in our national debt. The Democrats would too, but for entirely different reasons. They believe some of the highly skewed polls that show that Americans are evenly split on which party would get the blame for a shutdown. They believe they would gain public favor and thus more votes in 2012. Their beliefs are wrong!

The message of last November is still very strong and Democrats continue on a path of denial. This new crop of members in the House and Senate did not come to Washington to compromise. They did not win their overwhelming majority in the House on a platform of business as usual. They are there to reign in big government and cut the spending and reduce the national debt. This foreign concept of stand up for your beliefs and carry through on your promises is something Democrats and Republicans have both forgotten long ago in Washington. The Tea Party has revived it and if that is extremism, I'm all for it and I believe America is too.

Somebody has to set a new course. Obama has failed as a leader. Democrats failed while in the majority and Republicans of old are also part of the problem. These new "extremists" are ready to make a stand, take the country away from the old guard and return it to the people of America. If that means shutting down the operation then it must be done. The government won't just disappear. Contingency plans have always called for the furlough of just the "non-essential" workers and services, which brings up another good question. If the shut down occurs, might it be a good time to re-evaluate all these "non-essential" jobs and services? After all if the government can limp along without their help and by the government's own admission they are non-essential, then possibly the government can learn to walk normal again with a lesser amount. For well over a decade the business world has operated under a do more with less management approach and perhaps it's time for Washington to get in step.

I'm sure Democrats see that as an extremists view...so be it.

<h6 class="zemanta-related-title" style="font-size: 1em; have a chance to have his rhetoric used against us." (J.D. Gordon, former Defense Department spokesman for secretaries Donald Rumsfeld and Robert Gates as reported on Fox News web site.)

That is the perfect explanation for the reversal of Eric Holder and the DOJ on trying the 9/11 terrorists on U.S. soil and returning the trial to Guantanamo and the military tribunal system. As much as Holder hated to do it, and he really did hate to, common sense and reality forced him to finally raise the white flag on the issue and surrender. He was surrounded by an overwhelming and vocal public against his idea, a bi-partisan congress that stripped his ability for funding the civilian trial, and probably the most important and convincing reason of all, a President that wants to get re-elected in 2012. Holder went down fighting, blaming an ill informed public and Congress for his defeat, insisting that he knew what was best for America in this case. What he did not say was that those working to get Obama elected for a second term already have to defend stuffing a highly unpopular health care bill down Americas throat and did not need to defend another very unpopular issue that would most certainly become a media circus during the campaign.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; It appears this time its about Lybian rebel forces and not interogation teqniques used on terrorists. Just the other day Obama was telling us that the rebels were composed of doctors, lawyers, and a host of everyday people living in the country that just want freedom. Now we learn that maybe the rebels are not the good guys Obama has made them out to be. It seems that there is growing concern that many are Hamas and al Queda fighters, some just fresh off the battlefields of Afghanistan and others from Iraq. Guess who they were shooting at over there? If true, and it looks as if it is, you would think that would be an important bit of information the administration should know. Now I know that you can only lie if asked a question, so did anyone even inquire before all the talk was started on helping to arm them with weapons? Surely Obama would have consulted with the CIA on the situation. After all, he took almost two weeks before addressing the nation and surely during that time the CIA was involved. At any rate, Obama has now announced that he has instructed the CIA to go back in, meaning "boots on the ground", and get the story straight. It's nice to give Lybia and NATO advanced warning they are on the way. We wouldn't want them to think we were trying to go behind anyones back and take the lead in anything.

On Tuesday, March 29th, Thomas Friedman published an op-ed in the New York Times entitled, "Looking For Luck In Lybia" where he explains to the reader what challenges Obama is facing during this crisis. Then he states that he is praying for the man; he is praying that the President is lucky. Think about that reasoning. The man who has all the military might in the world, a huge network on intellengence at his disposal and supposedly the brightest and best edecuated intellectuals in his circle and we are told to pray that he gets lucky in this matter. Well if thats the best we can do, I guess I will pray, but I will also pray that this lunacy gripping the country will end in 2012 and a dysfunctional administration ends.

Related articles

US to Supply Arms to Al Qaeda Rebels in Lybia (dewgeneral.wordpress.com)

Charles K. Or why Lybia and not Yemen? Then we may also find out about why we lead today, then follow tomorrow. And we may possibly be given some insight as to why it has taken so long to confront the situation and address the public. That is usually what presidents do when they order American military personnel into harms way.

It is all too clear that Obama has a huge problem when trying to decide on matters concerning the use and deployment of our military and then finding the excuse or outlet that will exonerate him for his actions. It's the reason for his "dithering" and delay. It was apparent when he delayed on the troop surge in Afghanistan and it is apparent now on the Lybia matter. The result? Afghanistan will get additional troops because we are committed to winning but we will announce a withdrawal date the following year to bring them home. In Lybia, we will agree to take the lead to enforce the no-fly zone but then in the blink of an eye we will relinquish the lead role and turn it all over to NATO. Both of these commitments are more about saving the Obama image than saving Afghanistan, Lybia, or American interests in the world order. The wrong man, the wrong leader, the wrong administration, and the wrong message to send during a very dangerous time for America and the world.

Related articles

Obama Stomped Over Lybia - By Muslims (dewgeneral.wordpress.com)

Charles K. That's not good public relations to a man that spent the first part of his presidency traveling that part of the world apologizing for what he considered Americas "bully" attitude and image. Now Obama seems to be lost explaining his actions to the world as well as his liberal base. For this reason I have posted this clip of President Ronald Reagan speaking to the American public after he called for an air strike on Libya. This is how you address the country as Commander In Chief Mr. President.

President Obama, who has recently been trying to portray himself as a new Reagan needs to seriously watch, listen and learn from this video if he ever plans to be taken seriously in the world community as well as at home. Unfortunately for us, it does not appear to be in his character to address the world in this manner. Such talk does not come from Nobel Peace Prize recipients.

Global Warming, Climate Change, And Now...Earthquakes!

For years I have been listening to environmental doomsday nuts preach about the evils of fossil fuels and climate, how it will be the end of humanity and all other life on earth, reducing the planet to cosmic dust. How arrogant that they believe they can control a force larger than life itself simply by regulation.

It was inevitable, the recent natural disasters, earthquakes and tsunami, in Japan have stirred the enviro green weenies into an excited, wet your pants frenzy over what they consider proof that there are links to natural disasters and man-made global warming/cooling/climate change/ what ever floats your boat label you want to call it. How convenient to simply explain away all the natural disasters on earth on the use of fossil fuels. These same educated people are the ones who scoff and snicker if one dares to utter the phrase, "Gods' will" or "mother nature can be cruel".

I am always struck by the fact that the liberal enviro wackos never seem to be in awe of the natural forces in the universe. Or admit to a power greater than ourselves that can cause destruction at any moment. Whether it is hurricanes, tsunamis, or, earthquakes, they always find a way to inject junk science into the equation, linking it back to man and his increasing reliance on fossil fuels. Now they are embracing plate tectonics, the shifting of plates in the earth that cause tremors and earthquakes. How burning gas and coal can relate to this is not quite clear but from years of following the climate change crowd they never have been totally upfront on how they arrive at their conclusions. It is simply a matter of false data and misinformation to support their campaign for global and social change, not to mention keeping the money spigot turned on and flowing. Earlier this month there was reporting on asteroids on collision course or near collision course with earth, an occurrence that could prove disastrous to all of humanity if realized. Somehow this has seemed to escape the climate change crowd, as well as the possible solution to the problem, a solution they should be up in arms about but remain silent on. That would require us to launch a nuclear attack on the incoming asteroid to blow it into gravel or cause enough impact to knock it off course. I suppose in their mind polluting the universe with nuclear radiation is far better than letting all their hard work on saving the earth here at home go to waste. A technology they loathe is OK if it comes down to saving their ass along with their funding...oh, as well as the planet.

Eventually I am positive that asteroid showers will be linked into the mix of disasters caused by man. Someone will find more junk science to explain it. Meanwhile there will be those, such as myself, that will view the recent events in Japan and realize just how insignificant we are as part of the human race when compared to the hand of God and Mother Nature. And whether you are a believer or not, one thing is for sure. After all your efforts are wasted on saving the earth, even if your ludicrous theories are somehow proven correct, you still will not be able to overcome the natural forces of destruction. Those are out of your hands, your arrogance will not save you in such an instance. One thing is for sure and you can count on it. Even if the world is destroyed as we know it and all humanity parishes; if a speck of water still exists, then something will eventually manage to crawl out of it and live. Life will go on, by the grace of God and the hand of nature.

Related articles

Global Warming Advocates Link Japan Earthquake to Climate Change (bluegrasspundit.com)

"Environwackos Scramble to Blame Japan Earthquake on Global Warming" and related posts (holycoast.blogspot.com)

Wake Up America...The Threat is Real!

Radical Islam is nothing more than hatred. A belief that goes far beyond hate crimes toward Christians, Jews, and western civilization. It is a learned hatred that teaches Jihad or holy war against all non-Muslims, infidels, more correctly, as seen through their eyes. It has chosen the world as its battlefield and in particular, America as a favorite target and they threaten our way of life and our civil liberties. There is without a doubt a rise in the radicalization of American Muslims, particularly among young males. It is a major concern for internal safety and security of the American people and is the reason Congressman Peter King, head of the Committee on Homeland Security, is having hearings in Washington on this very issue. Obama has talked on the subject, Eric holder has admitted his concern, and Janet Napolitano has informed the public that at no time since 9/11 has the terror threat been at a higher level than now. So why is the American Muslim community and other liberal groups opposed to the congressional hearings? You would think that they would be concerned too, just as Americans are concerned about white extremist groups that preach doctrines of hatred. The same ones The Southern Poverty Law Center spends so much time and money tracking and hauling into the courts. You would think that the SPLC along with the ACLU and others would also be concerned with this rising threat in America and join with Congressman King in these hearings. The Muslim community should welcome these hearings as a chance to denounce the radicals among them and show support for the country in which they now reside. If anyone has a problem with this issue I would like to jog your memory. Here are three reasons for you to consider why the threat is real.

The attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the downing of Flight 93 all in one horrible day are purposely used here as fear tactics because that is the reminder of the reality we are facing as a nation. There have been other attacks since on smaller scales, some successful, others not, but they are increasing in number and frequency. Those who plot and carry out these terrorists acts all have ties to radical Islam. Congressman King seeks solutions and a greater awareness to the problem and it is time for the Muslim community to be part of the solution. It is also time for groups like the SPLC and the ACLU to defend the rights of all Americans against the radical Muslims who seek death to infidels as a means to carry out their plans for jihad. Their pursuit of justice in the civil rights arena has very little meaning if Americans are forced to live in daily fear for their life and the lives of their loved ones. After all, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is why everyone is here and no one group has the right to try and destroy that. Political correctness has no place in the discussion about protecting the nation.

<h6 class="zemanta-related-title" style="font-size: 1em; It's not about contributions to pensions and health care and it really is not about collective bargaining rights. What is really at the heart of the matter is the issue of taking away Wisconsin's responsibility to pay those employees union dues with taxpayer money through automatic deductions in payroll. Coupled with that and the prospect of having to be re certified every year by the public employees vote, the unions are pushing back hard against Republican lawmakers, fearing that if left up to the employees to pay the annual dues out of pocket, many will opt out of the union and keep that money for themselves. If the unions want to call that union busting fine. I say it is sound fiscal management to keep the state from funding Democratic political interests on the taxpayer dime. Simply put, the unions don't trust their own membership to pay dues on their own, which in turn would drastically reduce their power to fund political opposition to Republicans. They care not about their members, only the power they derive from the dues money and the money going into the pension funds. It's a total waste of taxpayer money that benefits a select few at the expense of the whole.

Unions do not belong in the public sector work place in the first place. Federal employees do not have collective bargaining and there is no reason for state workers to have it. These people are not out in the private sector working where corporate profits and benefits are at the center of most labor disputes. These people are civil servants, bureaucrats pushing paper and entering data. They are not fighting crime, or putting out fires, nor are they fighting in some foreign country in the War On Terror. Their life is not on the line.

For the most part their salaries are higher than those working in the private sector performing similar work and their benefits are better. They have not had to fear the plant closings and layoffs the rest of America has had to deal with. Why is this so? It's because Obama and the Democrats used a great deal of stimulus money propping up union payrolls across the nation in the name of saving jobs. It was never about jobs, it was about favoritism and payback to the union supporters across the land that make up a large percentage of Democratic votes. It was about keeping that block happy at the expense of the taxpayer, because if you didn't realize it, you should now...that was your money keeping those people in a job. You, the unemployed worker who pays taxes on his unemployment check. You helped keep them in their job and the government did nothing to save the company you worked for. You, the home owner who has seen the state raise your property taxes year after year to keep them on the public dole. You, the worker who is threatened with your company leaving town because they don't want to pay increased taxes in the state they do business in. And it is you, the taxpayer who sees untold amounts of money going yearly into a failed public education system. A system that benefits the educators more than the students. These are issues coming to light with the American public and are the same issues the unions don't want you to see or hear. This is why they are sending union goons into Wisconsin and every other state that is trying to come to grips with their budget and expenses. This is why they are fighting so hard to divert public attention away from these issues and turn it into the old union song of class warfare and fat cats trying to keep the workers of America down. The true reality is that they are responsible for creating their own mess and are are desperately trying to save themselves and to hell with the rest of the country, and worse, they want you, the taxpayer to continue footing the bill. They are being exposed for what they are, a liberal, socialist organization, supported through government funding and the public is fighting back to curtail their influence. This is why Obama was forced to come to the aid of his supporters and speak out against the states and support the public unions. Don't forget, he is an organizer and he can't afford to turn his back on those groups that helped put him in power. He's been spreading the wealth their way the past three years and nothing has come back to you, the unemployed, the under employed, the two part time jobs to make ends meet guy. They want you to believe it is simply a matter of taxing those they consider rich, taxing the profits of private business. Create class warfare and resentment among the electorate in order to retain power, all the while ignoring the plain simple truth, we are broke, the states and the country and contrary to Obama's belief, you can't spend your way out of it. By selectively helping a chosen few, those of the "Obama Union" during hard economic times, he has managed to alienate a majority of the working class that helped put him in office.

Related articles

Uncivil Unions - Ann Coulter - Townhall Conservative (gds44.wordpress.com)

Just a reminder: Unions rake in millions for Democrats (hotair.com)

Federal Workers Thrive Without Collective Bargaining - Fox News (news.google.com)

RNC ad links Obama to 'union bosses' (sfgate.com)

Obama And America's Decline...Incompetence or Cunning?

Ronald Reagan was the last truly great president our country has had and like it or not the Democrats, though not publicly, acknowledge that fact. Of course it's easier for Republicans to acknowledge than for the Democrats, after all Reagan was a conservative Republican. But Democrats know that even now, on the 100th anniversary of his birth, his popularity and political influence carries on and carries weight. It is why main stream media and Obama supporters have pounced on the Reagan band wagon and tried to portray their leader as a Reagan clone and as hard as it is for hard core leftists to swallow, they will go along with this newest and most desperate of liberal fallacies in order to win back the White House in 2012. They have got to find something to make their guy popular again.

Obama is not only losing on the home front, he is losing in the foreign arena as well. He is everything Reagan was not. Reagan was a man who understood the American people and America itself. He truly loved his country and the ideals it stood for. You come to America to be an American and free yourself from the chains from whence you came. In short, for a better life. Socialism was despised by Reagan and on that count alone you can dispel any comparison the media, the left, and even Obama can conjure up.

Reagan listened to the people, Obama does not. More importantly, Reagan let the entire world know where the country stood on matters of foreign policy and that anything that might harm America, her people, or her interests was going to be dealt with in sure and swift fashion. Quite the opposite from Obama. The recent uprising in Egypt is yet another testament to the failure of the Obama Administration on the foreign front. My friend Woody has recently written an article on his blog, The Sanity Sentinel, entitled "Obama's Selective Diplomacy." In it he points to some interesting observations on Obama's foreign policy and how it appears to further his desire to advance global socialism. Whether this is by Obama design or not, Woody raises an interesting question. Is it incompetence or cunning on Obama's part? It's easy to say incompetence and I truly believe that's a big part of it but there is a cunning side to Obama. He has gotten what he wants pretty much the last two years and even he said he would rather be a one term president who brought about change than a two term president who accomplished nothing.

When you think about it, Obama's domestic and foreign policy is based on selective diplomacy, at worst it is based on "The Wheel Of Fortune". Why would the President speak out on Egypt and remain all but silent when Iran was doing the same thing? Why would he embrace the protesters for change in Egypt and dismiss the Tea Party protesters at home? There is no clear, concise message and it is almost always at odds with itself and with those in charge of overseeing whatever message they are trying to convey. The State Department, the CIA, Homeland Security, the Justice Department, it is obvious no one speaks in a unified voice. Each have their own opinions and agenda and I suppose, facts, but they are constantly fighting the retraction battle or having another spokesperson explaining what it was they actually were referring to or meant. They even have their minions in the press explaining what they mean. It all leaves foreign leaders and viewers across the globe saying, "Huh?" The danger in all this is that the man in charge comes across as an amateur and as a country we appear weak and that leaves the door wide open for opportunity, especially in the world of foreign affairs.

Russia surely got the better part of the deal when Obama agreed to scrap the proposed missile defense plan and replaced it with a lesser option and so desperate to have the START Treaty agreed upon he gave them the upper hand there. He has done nothing to counter the threat of Iran's nuclear progress, or for that matter North Korea's nuclear ambitions. He still hasn't come to terms with the economic situation at home and unemployment, or for that matter, the border. All of his policies are weakening the structure of America both internally and abroad. His Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to him in advance for making America impotent on the world stage. Using Obama's own words, the world is telling us, "you can come along for the ride, but you have to sit in the back!"

There is absolutely no comparison to Obama and Ronald Reagan. The truer comparison lies with Jimmy Carter and if Egypt falls into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood the comparison will be complete. America needs a leader, not a Messiah. More than ever we need another Reagan. Someone who is not afraid of offending, someone who sees no need to apologize to the world. Straight talk, tough talk, to show those who challenge us that you can have no better friend, or worse enemy than the United States Of America. Does it work? The Berlin Wall came down and Iran let the hostages go after Reagan was elected, didn't they?

Once again America is in need of someone who believes in her. Someone who believes in capitalism, the American way of life. Someone who knows and believes that our strength lies in the people and not government programs and regulations. We need someone who is not afraid to offend or be on the wrong side of political correctness. This nation is for Americans and those who aspire to be Americans and learn our customs, laws and language. We are unique and we are united. It is what has made us strong in the past and will serve us well into the future. Change, as Obama envisions, is not what this country needs. Big government, spread the wealth programs and a host of other major and minor regulations imposed on the populace please only a few self serving individuals when compared to the over all population. It is why Obama fails in the public arena. He listens only to himself or a chosen few. He can't help himself, he can't shake who and what he is, a liberal socialist. Two months into his third year and already the media is clamoring over the change in the President. He has grown into the position, he is much more of the great unifier, a man of compromise, a negotiator on the foreign scene. He has the attributes of Reagan. In reality he has all the attributes of Jimmy Carter. Clueless, ineffectual, incompetent and dangerous. Dangerous because he realizes that once change is in place it can be very hard to undo and the effects far reaching. And it is for that reason, while you consider him incompetent you must never ignore the possibility of cunning.

Related articles

"Obama's cunning terminology" and related posts (angryarab.blogspot.com)

Reagan and Obama - NO COMPARISON (redstate.com)

Kucinich: "Free Pfc. Bradley Manning, the soldier who is accused of stealing government documents that were later posted on Wikileaks website. Pfc. Manning has been held at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Va. in solitary confinement for a little over eight months.

Kucinich, who sits on the Committee on Government Oversight and Reform writes, "As you know, I am concerned about reports of his treatment while in custody that describe alarming abuses of his constitutional rights and his physical health." He goes on to site a 2009 article by surgeon Atul Gawande that states,"without sustained social interaction, the human brain may become as impaired as one that has incurred a traumatic injury." For this reason Kucinich wants to meet with Manning so he can make his own personal assessment of the prisoners state of mind and whether he is mentally fit to stand trial.

What a load of liberal crap! Kucinich is responding to the Bradley Manning web site that sent out a call to readers to bombard the White House and Congress last week with calls and letters to "free Bradley" or at least take him out of solitary. This was right up Kucinich's alley. Another liberal cause, another chance to expose the evils of the military and American government.

Forget about the fact that they found the classified documents downloaded to his computer and that he is in solitary because they still don't know the extent of what he has said or done or if others are involved. No, Kucinich wants to make sure his rights are not violated while he is held and that his mental state, which is supposedly on shaky ground to begin with , is not aggravated. I've got some news for Dennis, if the government had me imprisoned for possible treason, facing a military court and a chance that I could face a lethal injection if found guilty, my mental state would be anything you want it to be if it would help get me off the hook. The Manning web site paints Quantico as Guantanamo and to hear those morons on the site tell it, poor Bradley is being waterboarded. Visitors are either detained for questioning or not allowed in at all to see him. They obviously don't understand that alleged traitors to the country are not afforded special privileges. Kucinich, along with all of Manning's other supporters want to paint the same old liberal picture of the victim. He was demoted in rank by the Army, he was gay and upset with the DADT policy, he wasn't being treated fairly and his actions were a direct result of mistreatment in the military. In other words, I'm not responsible. Give me a break! He was a third rate hacker, craving attention, got it, and was then caught. Pfc. Bradley Manning is no victim, just a disgraced soldier who brought dishonor to his uniform and service. He took the same oath as thousands of other men and women serving today. He broke that oath and through self serving arrogance and stupidity is where he is today.

Congressman Kucinich can evaluate Pfc. Manning all he wants, as many times as he wants, provided they let him. He can tug all the liberal heart strings while telling the tale of injustice brought upon this young man, but it still won't change the facts as we know them and it certainly will not change the damage that has been done to the nation.

Related articles

Rep. The scenario could easily fit given the trouble MSNBC seems to have with ratings.

In the movie Network, Howard Beale, the longtime anchor of the UBS Network Evening News, is told he has just two more weeks on the broadcast because of declining ratings. The next evening Beale announces live he will commit suicide on the air; that he will shoot himself in the head on Tuesdays broadcast. The network fires him afterwards but some old friends at the network convince them to let Beale on one more time so he can give a proper and dignified farewell to viewers. The network agrees. However, once on the air, he launches into the ranting of a lunatic claiming that life is nothing but "bullshit". The networks ratings soar. Howard Beale is given his own show where he ends up getting the entire nation to shout out his mantra, "I'm mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it any more!" Eventually Beale is given his own show and becomes the "mad prophet" of television.

I don't know if Kieth Olbermann has gotten to the point of lunacy that Howard Beale exhibited but there was a lot of flat out crazy talk being spewed from his mouth on his show Countdown. For example, after Scott Brown won the election in Massachusetts last January, Olbermann called him “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea-bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.” Did he leave anything out? Olbermann always used his pulpit to bash Republicans and Conservatives. The liberal legions loved him for it and the more absurd the reasoning or ludicrous the statements the more they loved it. Their was only one problem; there were not enough of them and for a prime time show, Countdown was fast becoming a niche piece of programing for a rabid liberal base that only wanted a daily dose of conservative bashing. Olbermann was free to spew forth anything he wanted no matter how over the top it was. The monster that MSNBC created had grown too big for the cage and it was simply time to put it down. After all, they are a business and revenue depends on ad accounts and ratings and Countdown was losing. Olbermann had reached his audience saturation point and was stagnant, it was not going to grow. In fact viewers were actually leaving to other channels when he would begin ranting. He had simply grown boring and predictable. The executive decision to cut him loose was easy...goodbye Keith.

Olbermann can at least take consolation in the fact that network executives didn't plan the same fate for him as they did for Howard Beale in the film Network. Once The Howard Beale Show had run its course and was no longer part of the rating game, the executives decided to have Beale assassinated live on the air in front of his audience. Olbermann's departure was way less dramatic, a simple thank you and good night would do. However, if MSNBC allows him to do one more Countdown segment in order to have a more formal and graceful sign off, be sure to tune in. It may just be a real Howard Beale style ratings buster. Unfortunately for Keith that probably won't happen. When he heard the voices in his head yelling, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore," they were not from his audience, they were from the network executives at the top.

Related articles

Keith Olbermann is Leaving MSNBC (shoppingblog.com)

"Keith Olbermann and MSNBC's Messy Breakup [Video]" and related posts (gawker.com)

"NOW CHILDREN, PLAY NICE!"

Children behaving badly. That is what comes to mind when one thinks of the recent proposal to Congress by the Washington-based think tank Third Way, to have alternate seating assignments based on party affiliation during the State Of The Union Address. Of course the Democrats were quick to embrace the idea along with a few Republicans but as an outsider looking in, I see it as a colossal waste of energy and time on the part of both parties to even be considering such an idea. What a grand ploy by Democrats to once again create an opportunity to claim the moral high ground and bring their left wing media buddies along for the ride. Create an issue out of a non-issue to detract from their own failings. Where was all this love and camaraderie two years ago as they were bulldozing the Constitution along with America into the ground? Now they are painting themselves as the party of moderation, willing to bring civility back into the political debate, knowing well that if Republicans refuse they are once again labeled as the bad guys, the party of no. The whole idea is absurd, even childish. When you go to watch your team play football you don't sit and root with the opposing fans. Your there to see your team kick butt! This idea of mix it up seating reminds one of elementary school days when the teacher would seat boy, girl, boy, girl, in order to separate trouble makers and disruptive students from one another. That seating arrangement resulted in a more civilized learning environment for the students. The proposed arrangement for Congress is supposed to give America the feeling of a more unified House and Senate, but in reality it's just to give an illusion of such. Gone will be the days of one side standing and applauding and the other side sitting and remaining quite. By mixing it up they hope to make it not as noticeable to the viewer, or at least embarrass the sitter into standing. We, as the viewing public, are supposed to buy into this nonsense.

Congress has never tempered its political manner and it never will. The two party system will not allow for it and to try and enforce a display of unity in this manner would be the height of hypocrisy for both parties. The entire charade would be laughable. Would we also be treated to a chorus of Cum Ba Ya while members held hands? How boring. The Democrats know this of course, but they are always willing to try and play the role of the peacemaker even as they plot where to place the next bomb. They are no better than Republicans when it comes to congressional etiquette and temperament and in many ways they are worse.

Back in 1856 the following story depicts how one member of the House, Preston Brooks, a Democrat, reacts to a speech by a member of the Senate, Charles Sumner, a Republican, against admitting Kansas to the Union as a slave state. In his speech, "Crime Against Kansas," Sumner insults South Carolina Senator Andrew Butler, who was not present at the time. Butler was a relative of Preston Brooks and Brooks sets out to defend family honor.

The Caning of Senator Charles Sumner,
From: senate.gov
On May 22, 1856, the "world's greatest deliberative body" became a combat zone. In one of the most dramatic and deeply ominous moments in the Senate's entire history, a member of the House of Representatives entered the Senate chamber and savagely beat a senator into unconsciousness.

Apparently Brooks considered Sumner no gentleman and instead of challenging him to a duel, he took a cane and proceeded to beat Sumner mercilessly to the ground. When it was over, Sumner was carried out by his friends for medical attention and Brooks composed himself and walked out of the Senate untouched.

Imagine the media frenzy in this day and age over that incident. What we hear and see today pales in comparison. Singling out Supreme Court Justices as wrong on a matter involving the Constitution during a State Of The Union speech, yelling out, "You Lie," to the President, even flipping the bird to a disagreeable opponent. None of that comes close to the actual beating of a man into a comatose state on the Senate floor.

America does not need a false facade presented to them at the State Of The Union address. They don't need to see Democrats sitting next to Republicans acting like they enjoy listening to each others political philosophy; acting like if we all just work together it will be all right. It's all crap and America knows it. What the country needs from them is to stop acting like children and start listening to what America wants, to do whats best for her, for her future, and for her children's future.

Defending Pelosi Is No "Accident"

In calling for support of a resolution condemming the shootings in Arizona, The ex-speaker referred to the event as an accident. Slip of the tongue or not, it now is down in the congressional record along with all the other monumental slip of the tongue remarks that she has made over the years; and as usual, her defenders are out in force trying to explain away what she actually meant. "Incident" is the word that keeps surfacing, she meant to say incident. I would imagine defending Pelosi is no easy task but liberals have been telling lies and spinning such "incidents" as this for so long it has become second nature for them and they truly believe their words and reasoning.

Just how far will they go in defending Pelosi? I went to a great source for the answer, The View web site, hosted by ABC. There I found one reply that justified the entire matter.

"It was an accident because this young man's medical condition WAS NOT treated. A few years ago a diabetic in my area went into a diabetic coma killing 6 out of 7 family members in a van when her car side-swiped them. The authorities contributed that as an "accident" because her medical condition wasn't treated according. No difference here."

There you have it, straight from a defender. Pelosi was correct in her choice of words and only a moron would not see the direct correlation between the events in Arizona and the car wreck mentioned above.
Being diabetic and having paranoid schizophrenia are pretty much one in the same. The defense has spoken. Absurdity rules!

Related articles

Pelosi Spins Tucson Assassinations into an "Accident" on House Floor (votingfemale.wordpress.com)

The Sky Is Falling...Again

I think it is marvelous that the left wants to improve the civility of debate in Washington, especially now that they have lost their majority in the House and came close to losing it in the Senate. It is all too evident in the Clinton approach to politics, those of the centrist, that are starting to develop from the White House, as seen by recent staff changes. All this coming neatly together after the tragedy in Tucson, Arizona. Who would have thought that the sick, perverted actions of one crazed and very sick individual, with absolutely no political motive or thought could have inspired a political party to abruptly about face and extend the olive branch of moderation and compromise? This coming from the party that just two years ago looked upon Republicans as plague carrying lepers. These are the same people America watched as they shut the opposition out of every debate; where Nancy Pelosi excluded them from policy on health care to climate change; where Harry Reid shut down debate and refused to discuss amendments on all major legislation coming to the Senate floor. Even Obama pulled the curtains on his much touted transparency in government pledge. So for them to come forward now and extend the hand of moderation is truly a sign of hope. Or is it?

Simplistic as it may seem I am always reminded of the fable, "Chicken Little" when it comes to assessing the motives of Democrats. You remember that tale. Chicken Little out walking one day is hit in the head by a falling acorn. Not realizing the cause and jumping to conclusion, Chicken Little believes the sky is falling. She decides the king must know of this at once and sets off to warn him. Along the way she encounters several other barn yard animals and in a frenzied voice tells them of the impending disaster. They to all join the journey to see the king. Eventually they run into a sly old fox and tell him their tale. The sly fox sees opportunity here and invites them all over to his house to discuss the matter and rest before continuing on their journey. They all accept the invitation and the fox devours them all for dinner. (Note: in a more liberal version, they all escape the fox unharmed, see the king and the king puts their fears to rest. Once again proving that government takes care of everything.)

How strikingly similar the true version of this story describes the left. Chicken Little jumps to a conclusion and immediately begins to whip the population into a frenzy, trying to create mass hysteria, where upon the sly and unscrupulous fox manipulates the situation for his own benefit. We have seen it all to often, most recently after the events in Tucson, Arizona, with attacks leveled at the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, talk radio, and Fox News. We see it in their manic obsession with Global Warming or Climate Change, as it is referred to now. The new name being more convenient to explaining all weather extremes globally. They use it to justify passing their own regulations when Congress won't act, as is the case with the EPA issuing CO2 emission standards or shutting down off shore drilling and mountain top coal mining even after their approval to begin work. It was evident in the health care debate and the stimulus program. They are nothing more than a sly opportunistic fox laying in wait to exploit the next victim; the next tragedy; the next person who unwittingly falls into their liar. It does not matter if it is a grieving mother who lost her son in the war or an illegal immigrant who worked as as a housekeeper. It could be a natural disaster such as a hurricane or one that was man made. The spin doctors rush to the nearest and all too willing media to spread their version of hysteria to the public. Many times it comes from different fractions on the left but their message eventually gets rolled together into a ball that begins rolling toward a common destination...more government intervention and regulation.

In the end the sky has fallen once again and the fox's belly is full.

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
