Things have been a bit quite in terms of the boys lately, so I thought I'd update you on one little piece of new info.

The links above are for Ollie's official website which launched a couple months ago - much information on himself and his projects, as well as clips/songs/videos. The other link is to his Myspace, where he has uploaded nine full songs thus far worth listening to.

Other than that, I'll update when more important things pop up.
Til then I hope to commit to finishing this site's full anticipated features and such - just a case of turning off the TV and putting down the wine for a couple nights or so.

The Cat Empire - News - Fifth studio album on the way!

Excellent news, everyone!

This morning the boys have announced that "off the back of their ten-year anniversary and worldwide tour, they are now back in the studio recording their fifth studio album." Currently planned for release in 2013!

"We’re ready for some new music, and no doubt our fans are too," says co-frontman Harry Angus. "We are determined to make an album that captures the spirit of THE CAT EMPIRE. We ran from the “party band” tag for a long time, but we are coming to accept that’s what we are – so we are going to make an album that makes people out-dance themselves".

Harry James Angus - News - It's a boy!

Bit of a late update - sorry for that by the way, but we honestly had no idea.

At tonight's solo double act with Roscoe, we were informed by Harry himself that he is now the proud father of a baby boy.
He didn't give a name, and meeting with him after the set - we forgot to bring it up.

Looking through the booklet of the physical "Little Stories" CD, we discovered on the last page, along with the 'special thanks', a message to his 'future' son for inspiring him to finish the album before July 20th (presumably little Angus-Lubitz' due date at the time).

So, congratulations to both Harry and Emily. Hopefully when the Empire boys all settle down - Harry's son, Will's son (Ben), Ollie's daughter (Edith) and any other future kids can form a band of their own?...
