Mama Dhi At 8th Month and the Baby Stuff

I am supposed to read review materials for our upcoming written comprehensive exam on March 4 and 11, but I feel not so inspired to do so, thus, I blog first and wait for the concentration to come back.

I am already in my 33rd week and 3 days of pregnancy, getting nearer! And I feel heavy, my tummy I think is in its biggest now :) although they say it's small. I cannot stay on one position for long, I need to take on different position so my back won't ache.

Recalling..... I had my two check up last week, Saturday. Two because I changed to another OB-gyne. Had to say thank you and goodbye Dra. Alcalde - she's been good to me yet I need to change to another OB who is cheaper than her hehe. And there I remember the one suggested by my friend's brother, Dra.Valdez, cheaper than the first one. I need to ask permission to Dra. Valdez first if she will accomodate me even I'm on my 8th month, she said yes if I will ask permission from Dra. Alcalde. The latter did not fail me, she let me go :)

And yes, my last consultation with Dra. Alcalde and my first with Dra. Valdez. I visited the latter's clinic, showed her my maternity records, copied it and asked me to lie down to check our baby, yes!I saw our baby again - free ultrasound yehey! Seeing our baby, doc told me that she is small, I need to eat eggs every other day daw to make her big. On my next visit February 18, hopefully she gains.

Lucky me - unlike many some pregnant woman, I do not have swollen feet... Here's my feet taken last Thursday on my 33rd week and 1/7..

See, i'm small at 8th,and my belly button has not protruded yet :) That is why I need to eat a lot more for my baby's growth. Though that small, I am actually feeling heavier, especially when I am sitting and then to stand up to urinate, ah promise, I feel heavy.

What actually more exciting aside from seeing your baby during an ultrasound, is buying baby stuff. I am not excited to buy things hehe, I had it last January. All is pink - for our baby girl. I budgeted 3k - 5k only, but because there are things that need to be bought, I actually spent Php10,500. Here they are.

I thought these will not reach 10k, but when I paid the cashier huwaw... X_X I wasn't able to take photo of the baby clothes, the long sleeves, the shirt, the sleeveless, pajamas, panties, baby ties, those are included in 10k of baby stuff. I still need to buy sterilizer and some feeding bottles later.

This is our first baby so why not spend more for her things :) Pero, na excite and napasarap lang siguro ako sa pagso shopping for our baby that's why it is that expensive.

There so much more to tell and share. I'll post it here. By the way, I will be having a urinalysis again on my next visit with Dra. Valdez, and hopefully, my UTI is gone.

Another start of the year on the 23rd of January for our Chinese brothers and sisters. They have different cultures than us so we have to respect it. It is also good to know that people around the globe are also celebrating the Kung Hei Fat Choi though the real new year has already gone. A more colorful new year to celebrate because of the bright red!

Better late than never, we met yesterday with our Advantek and ACS friend in Mall of Asia to celebrate Rela's birthday. Eenah and Rela came all the way from Lipa Batangas and headed in Mall of Asia not only to have a birthday celebration but also to see how I look being pregnant. According to Rela, I'm cute as a pregnant. We had our dinner at Lugang Cafe, a Chinese restaurant across Tokyo Cafe.Perhaps next time, you could give us some chicago blackhawks tickets, or united center tickets or nhl tickets , how about that huh!

After the dinner, we just had some picture taking (I'll share the picture once Eenah uploads it). Bheng was also with us. Thank you Rela for the treat! Next time again!

ACS Accounting held a Christmas Fishbone Decoration Contest - and last Thursday December 15, 2011, the winners were announced during the Christmas Party. The first prize received Php10,000.00

We're Having A Girl!

Finally, after 6 months of waiting, our baby revealed her gender. On 11th day of December 2011, my 24th week and 5/7 days, I had my 3D ultrasound at In My Womb located in SM Mall of Asia. It's a Pearl package which includes 15 colored pictures of your baby and a CD of still pictures. The procedure lasted for an hour as our baby was covering her face when we were doing the scanning. I am happy seeing her touched and covered her face, but baby, please show us your beauty next time I have my scan ha? In My Womb by the way is offering a 4 time repeated scan if the baby does not cooperate. So since I am not satisfied yet, I will go back for re-scanning on Friday 16th of December.

And here's the 2D picture of our baby's gender. It will be hard for you to recognize because it's black and white, but the two arrows are pointing to the female gender part which is lavia.

Our baby girl - barely three months and we can see you na! We love you so much.

On Being Pregnant - 23rd Week

And so yesterday marked may 23rd week of pregnancy. So many happiness and excitement was felt prior to that. This is really the feeling of being a mom, mixed emotions but excitement and happiness top it all. On my fifth month, I felt our baby move, and now on his/her 23rd week inside, I can feel him/her squirming. I see my tummy move as he/she moves inside me.

A little sacrifice now, I cannot sit with my feet alone, I need to have some chair otherwise, my tummy is pressed. I am also starting to feel the backache, that is why I wanted to lie down to avoid it. But those were nothing, those were just a wee sacrifice compared to other pregnant women who really suffered and felt the sign of pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. I am very lucky for not experiencing them.

I am not big as other pregnant woman, in fact on my 22nd week, I still weighed 110 pounds (50 kgs), same with what was my weight when I was in my 16th week. I eat healthy foods, but I do not eat a lot. I take vitamins as prescribed by my OB.

The only thing that saddened me is having a urinary tract infection (UTI) which according to them, pregnants are really prone to having a UTI. On my last visit last November 24, 2011, my OB prescribed me an anti-biotic to treat it, a cefulex I think to take for a week. twice a day, with 12 hours interval. And my oral taking ended yesterday, I will be having another urinalysis tomorrow to check whether my UTI has gone - and hopefully it's gone, otherwise, treatment continues.

I also had my first anti-tetanu vaccine, I visited our barangay midwife's house (supposedly in a helath center but it was Saturday) and she had me vaccinated by a tetanus toxoid. Next injection will be a month after - I am planning to go back on December 23, 2011.

Until now, I have no clue what our baby's gender is. All of them are telling me that I will be having a girl. I also checked the babycenter.com pregnancy tool - and it said, I will be having a girl. Me and my husband wanted to know our baby's gender, and on my return to my OB, I will request an ultrasound referral so we can know by then. December 7 will be my 6th month of pregnancy, konti na lang and our baby will be here. Yipee!!! Love you baby, mama and daddy love you so much!

November 01, 2011 was my first time to spend All Saint's Day alone and working in the office. I decided to go to work to finish some tasks. I regularly go home during this holiday, and sadly, this was my first time of being alone. My longings suddenly increased when I heard my mother's phone on the other line, informing me that they will be going to visit our relatives in cemetery. Too bad of me, I wanted to go home, it was 11am when my heart says, "go home"! :(

I am no longer a single lady that I used to 29 years ago. I have now a loving husband that should be asked permission to whenever I want to go to somewhere. Things have changed a lot now. Someone has to listen and talk to even in any small and petty things. And whether to visit home or not, is part of this so called "married life."

Next year, where will I be on 11.01.12?

My Second Ultrasound

I was able to see our baby during my ultrasound last Saturday. I was again in deep happiness when I see him/her grown. His/her right hand was holding his/her nape and his/her long legs were kicking and stretching. I'm on my 17 week and 3/7 when I had my second ultrasound and from that time, our baby is still in the process of developing the skin, that is why we saw almost the bones, spinal cord specifically. Our baby did not reveal what his/her gender is, it's hiding still, my baby is in foot breech position. Cute cute, can't wait to see, hug and kiss you our baby.

My OB told me that I was having a contraction, I wonder why, I din't even feel it, I am not aware that I was having a contraction. Upon reading and surfing the net, I discovered that it happens to many mother-to-be, according to them, it sporadically happens as the uterus is adjusting. Sigh, relieved!

We love you baby <3 can't wait really! A long way to go.. March, I want to pull you :)

Last Sunday, while I was bored and found nothing to do, I decided to surf. I opened my mozilla which homepage was set to my blog http://dhina-lieva.com/. I was shocked, I cannot view it, it led to OpenDNS, sometimes, cannot be displayed. I hastily emailed page.ph - the host of my domain. I asked them why I cannot view my blog. I got no reply from them until Monday. I first thought they were having a maintenance or something that is why my blog was down. My doubt eked when I asked my officemate to try viewing her blog which is also under page.ph, and viloa, she was able to view it. Why only me?

Here is the reply I've got :(

The time I read this, I really really really was mad, because in fact, I paid them 20 days in advance. And I am not expecting this to happen. I replied them with words fuul of anger I want them to feel how disppointing it is. Until now, my disppointment remains.

What more disppointing is again the another reply I received, that it will take 30-50 days to recover the domain dhina-lieva.com, imagine the problem it will cause me. It is very important as I already earning from it and there are pending posts to be reviewed and paid. And if the advertisers do not see my posts because my blog is down, I will be rejected and I will be having a bad record to them. Arggghhhhh......

I hope page.ph will reclaim and recover it the soonest!! Soooo disppointing!

A long story of my life is worth airing, I have plans of sharing this to the whole nation... Sabihin nyo na ang gusto nyong sabihin against it but I wanted to share and inspire people who went and will go through trials and paths like mine. I told myself, I will be ready to tell all when I meet my partner in life, and now it happened, a sign that I now need to write something about my life. And with this, now I ask, how many pages do I need to write? I need an ample time to write everything that happened to me, every little thing that meant big. I hope MMK will not end until I share my story.

My story, I am a daughter, an ate, a dreamer and a lifetime partner. Thank you for all the blessings I received!

Finally, shortly after he arrived in the Philippines, he went with me in Tiong Quezon, together with his niece last Saturday, May 14 2011. Our first time to be together going home, and as what my inay told us, "sa wakas, may kasama na ang anak ko pag umuuwi". And then the next day, his family went in our place yo do the traditional "pamamanhikan o bulungan", we were so busy that we did not manage to perm ourselves before the session, oily faces and sweaty so gross. His tatay, Ate Yolly, Kuya Lan and Ate Jasmin, Tito Luis, Tita Glo, Tita Dar, Gerald, Kim, Anne, Nelvie, and Kuya Lan's kids were there. My Mamay Doro, Nanay Letty, Tiya and Tiyo were present as for my side naman.

My friends Anna Salonga, Imee Perez with Joseph Guillermo arrived too.

We were happy, finally, tuloy na tuloy na, all were set. Can't wait for June 11. I love you my Jay David. Forever we will be, together a family.

I love this, more than excited to wear in person :) He had a hard time looking for the best pair, it took him more than hour until finally, he found a pair that suit my 5 1/2 ring finger. I wish I was with him when looking and buying for a pair of wedding ring, I wish I too was tired as him, aching feet as he walked from one boutique to another, sadly, light years distance separates and prevents us from doing so.
