I know my smart readers get that if the end of the ocean’s food chain decreases the natural balance of sea life is altererd leading to dead reefs and more horrible consequences.

This year I plan to record again. But how? I couldn’t even find the time to record the annual christmas track for 2009. What a shame. That made me think. My productivity is barely a shadow of it’s teenage or twen self. I simply can’t afford to devote the time to something I don’t know if anybody is interested in at all…

It’s been a long time. The Tiki & The Guitar was recorded ten years ago, before file-sharing was really common place. The second album only came to be by request from Jochen Hirschfeld who asked me to record something for his upcoming dvd-project in 2005.

As the face of music marketing changed over the following years I tried to keep up. For the time when I would have a new album to be released eventually. But screw that. Let’s think single!

Here’s the deal, in chronological order:

Listmembers (that‘s you) who would like me to record two more tracks can contribute by paying at least $ 5 with Paypal. Click the button at the bottom.

You are welcome to provide inspiration. Like for example “reverb-dripper-ripper from hell!” or “ethereal ballad on tuned coconuts”. Just write it with your payment. Ideas will also come just by witnessing who is shelving out.

Once the money pile reaches $ 1000 I start composing and recording. Within a month or two the new tracks will be ready and sent out to the supporters in the highest quality MP3 or Apple Lossless format.

Only folks who participated in monetizing will participate in owning.

I have no idea if this is going to work. If it’s a success I will continue the line of two-tune-projects. Otherwise those who payed will receive any two pieces of music I create next.

Since I don’t put a limit to the payments, Uncle Scrooge could have two exclusive KK tracks to himself. If he manages to kiss $ 1000 goodbye, that is.

Or the three Musketeers can donate $ 333 each. That’d be a trio with a pretty rare duo of my tunes!

Or if you are a plain fellow like myself you could tell others about this project and donate the minimum of $ 5. 200 everyday poor folks could own a nifty set of exotic guitar tracks.

Money coming in after the $ 1000 mark has been reached, is still welcome, but the contributors are only entitled to the next set, working title “Project 2”.

I could see constant contributors (Projects 1 through 6) receiving physical albums in the future.
