This an ugly thought. Gerecke says burned CDs have a lifespan of up to 5 years.

I'm sure this guy is a consultant trying to sell a service. But it's not the first time I've heard that burned CDs aren't for the ages...

Draw something in the sketch area, and the software retreives Flickr images that are similar to your drawing in shape and color. It doesn't work all that well but the concept is neat!

This may be the test case that determines whether or not you can be arbitrarily asked to show ID by the police. They do this kind of thing all the time anyway, so it will certainly be much worse if Davis loses her case.

This is a case of someone who was not under suspicion of a crime, she was simply riding public transportation to work. She spent several hours in jail and was issued two tickets.

I found this nice blog post this morning while Googling "Vic Sussman" Internet newspaper.

In one of the sequels to Neuromancer, a character named The Finn is transformed after death into something resembling an Information Hydrant: a squat silver cylinder set in the corner of a dark alley of the Sprawl. Inside the hydrant is all of The Finn's vast knowledge. That is the feeling I get when I type "Vic Sussman" into Google.
