Many people ask me what kind of style I have? To be honest, I dont really have one. Im not one to settle for a particular look because I feel the need to switch things up, break everything apart and experiment whatever is being thrown at me. Some label me as a hipster because I wear vintage/trendy clothing + riding a fixed bike, which I take no offense in since they probably don't know me that well. Others say Im a fashionista and I just take it as compliment.

Most days, I dress casually with just tees and denim shorts because of my bike commute to school, but to spice up my mundane life, I like to dress up a bit. If I could, I would glam it to school but itd be difficult to manage because you'll never know when you'll derp it until you realize your skirt is caught in between the spokes or the chain. I have biked with dresses before and arrived safely to classes, but it made me feel self-conscious. I always worry about the length being too short that could potentially expose the secret areas. Im sure some gals would know but I tend to forget, to all the ladies out there who bike with skirts or dresses, itd be ideal to wear shorts underneath. Just throwing it out there :)

Anyways, in this particular occasion, my pin up girl look is completed by a blue wire headband and a floral cutout sundress. What's your style or your go-to outfit?

I'm not so sure why my cycling team is doing the silly prom pose, but this will probably be the last time we will ever do that ridiculous pose together. A few members of the team graduated this past week and some of us are going separate ways to pursue a higher education or career, so it only made sense that we all reunite once again to do a team photo shoot. Since I don't own the newest edition of this year's jersey and bib, I had to borrow one of my fellow teammate's kit. And as you can tell, the jersey looks a tad loose on me and the squiggly line on the sleeve looks pretty prominent. Well, I hope I can make it to some of the team rides when I have the chance.
I miss riding with these guys already.

My friends and I celebrated my birthday at Slater's 50/50 which is a restaurant known for there ginormous half mixture of beef and bacon patty burger. I'm normally not a fan of bacon but decided to ordered there infamous 3/4pound 50/50 burger anyway. Turned out to be unbearable for me as there were too many substance and the surface of the patty was slightly burnt. All in all, I had a great time enjoying the day with my closest friends.

Graduation is approaching and I'm not sure if this is something that I am looking forward to. Life actually begins now where I'll be facing new challenges and unexpected shenanigans. To be honest, I actually enjoyed going to school never mind the group presentation and countless of poorly written essays I've submitted and college has given me opportunities to learn to express myself and to meet crazy but interesting oddballs. Speaking of which, life has'nt been kind to me because I am still unemployed. Its rather difficult getting a job or even landing an interview these troubling days. Just need to keep my mind focused on my career. On a positive note, I am grateful for receiving grants that fully covered all four years of college and not having to worry about student loans. So long, UCR.

You and I both know that you're not one for grand gestures, but rather particular about the food we eat, so here we are, celebrating your magical birthday at The Boiling Crab at last. Nothing magnificent, just how you like it - enjoying every special moment with some of your closest friends and drinking spiked coke and beer ;p
I've pretty much wrote you the same thing over and over again for the last 4 birthday cards, so I thought I'd tweek a little and send this message both digitally and in a hard copy. I like how simple you are, but at the same time unmasking different layers of distinctive personalities during the most vulnerable and happiest times of our lives. That is how I know that you are always true to yourself and that's a trait that most people dont have which is why love that part of you. For the past 21 years of my life, my mom has been taking care of me and providing for me, but last Sunday was her day to shine. I've been mindful of how grateful I am for my sweet mama and not to take her for granted. Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs out there and I truly appreciate your efforts. Since I dont have class on Thursdays, I decided to go on a grub trip to LA. Went to Phillippe last week and randomly strolled across some streets in LA that lead me and my boyfriend down to a small hidden alleyway. I don't recall the exact location but it was somewhere near Little Tokyo where the alley had various vendors selling vintage handmade bits and bobs. I'm trying to make my Thursdays a weekly adventure.

I've been back in Cali for more than a week now but for some reason, Ive just delayed my time in blogging for some time and i know its really bad, sowwy... hopefully this does not happen again. If you read my previous post, I mentioned that I flew to New York about 2 weeks ago and I really enjoyed my time there in which I explored different parts of the city. Unfortunately, the only downside was the fact that it was raining unexpectedly for 3 days, accompanied by the unbearable humidity in that weather. The highlight of this trip was my visit to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the New York International Gift Fair. MOMA features plethora of unconventional work of art and content produced by those of the avante-garde artists who express individualism and non-conformity. I'm sure many of those who visit may be inspired by the designs because of its purpose of breaking the boundary in creating art. If you guys ever go to New York, be sure to visit MOMA!

Lately I have been obsessed over sheer button up blouses and pale pastel color clothing. They are definitely in trend right now and it's fabric and style design exudes a sense of elegance.
Even though its summer, I feel like sheer shirts are totally breathable and wearable during this burning hot weather because of its thin, flowy material. I don't feel sticky or sweaty when im wearing these kind of viscose fabric shirts that somewhat resembles silk apparel.

Originally planned to eat hotpot with my friends today but the wait was 2 hours long and there were about 75 parties ahead of us, it was insane! But then again, the restaurant was offering a Buy one get one deal so it was just hard to resist. Ended up dining at a korean bbq buffet at a really sketchy area accompanied with mediocre meat and other side dishes. Was really disappointed that the quality was not good and that we werent able to eat at the hot pot place. Next time it is!

So apparently, my friends and I thought that it was Daniel's birthday yesterday so we threw him a little bbq party 2 days ago and realized it was the wrong date. = =sheesh, we're horrible friends who couldnt even remember our buddy's birthday:( But just wanted to congratulate him on his 22nd birthday TODAY! woohoo! We went to a local restaurant called The Salted Pig that is known for their beer selection and celebrated his birthday there. I ordered a German noodle dish and wasn't sure what ingredients were in the dish but gave it a try anyways. Not sure why, but I felt like I was eating a poor man's dish filled with crunchy bacon bits and some gnocchi-type of pasta. The dish was a little hard to work with mainly because it just had too many hard bacon that was difficult to chew on. Even though I'm not much of drinker but overall, I think I'd come here to drink but not for food.
