Сhristmas holidays

2012-01-08T07:03:00.000-08:00

Christmas holidays are one of my favorite period of the year - you finally get the opportunity to spend with your friend as much time as you want. We all stayed on holiday at home and spent it together. One of those wonderful evening we played Monopoly. I won, in spite of I was playing for the first time :D

On the photos are Ksenia, whom you've already seen in this post, and two Alexandr's - a boy and a girl. I love you, guys! ;)

Top Ten 2011

2011-12-31T10:15:00.000-08:00

In several hours we will finally say goodbye to the year 2011. This is time to to sum up the results.

I have mixed feelings about the 2011. Right from the start of the year I've had an accident, that makes me bedridden for three month. On the one hand it wasn't a pleasant experience, but from the other hand it was a time for me to think about my life-style and everything that was really important for me.

In this year I visited Saint Petersburg - the most delicious city of the world (for me now). I just can't describe all the emotions I still feel.

I gave up smoking in 2011. It wasn't easy but now I'm really proud of myself.

I visited a lot of interesting events this year and met a lot of people I'm really glad to know.

In this year Ludvig came into my life - the cat I have fallen in love at first sight with. I'm very grateful to all the happy moments he gives me.

This year I turned 25. I'm a big girl now :D

September the 17th my close friend Nataly married her boyfriend Valeriy. They are together almost six years. I'm very glad for they, you, guys are really beautiful couple!

Me and Igor, on the contrary, have a hard time during this year. I hope, we grow stronger after all trials.

My younger brother is in the Army now. I miss him very much!

I have has a business trip to the Frankfurt Book Fair 2011 - the most biggest marketplace for books and media in the world. I felt like Alice in the Wonderland.

I was the host of the "Pumpernikel-2011" Restaurant Prize Award Ceremony. For the second time in the floodlight - I have to say it is jumpy.

I changed my haircut (it is shorter now) and have chosen glasses. A vintage one by Jil Sander - a gift from my father.

I became the editor-in-chief in the magazine I work. This is my pride and joy.

So, I think I told you enough about these 12 months :D

I also want to say "thank you" to you, guys, for being with me and reading my blog during this year. See you in 2012! :D

2011-12-28T06:59:00.000-08:00

Do you remember our Journalistic New Year's Ball last year? Here are the photos from the new one! It's a tradition I love the most - we celebrate the coming New Year with all our corporation, and you meet people which you may be has never seen before.
We bought this great costumes specially for the party. It wasn't "Madagascar" inspired ;D But it looks so :D

How does it works?

2011-12-22T06:17:00.000-08:00

I want to share with you backstage photos from the photosession for the december issue. In the article various significant busy people tell about their Christmas and New Year memories of their childhood. At the pictures you can see them playing the fool in front of the camera. And at the backstage photos - me, preparing something or somebody for the shooting. It's that I do very often :D And I think, I have really great work, isn't it? :D
I also want to thank Maxim Golubev for his work!

2011-11-23T09:25:00.000-08:00

"Baltic Broadway Magazine", which editor-in-chief I'm now, made a "round table" with journalists and people from the art-field. The result of discussion will be published in the next issue. And for the time being - this pictures. All photos were taken by photographer Dima Selin.

2011-11-14T05:13:00.000-08:00

My baby turned 1 year! He's a big cat now, but still behaves like a kitten. So is always with boys however :D

I've caught him to take several photos - you can see the result.

Have a nice week you all!

Trends: Animal Print

2011-11-10T02:01:00.000-08:00

The trend I'm very glad to introduce: animal print. You know, adore leo- or zebra-prints, also wolf-or dogfaces at sweaters and t-shirts. And from now it all become obligatory :D

As usually: several photos from FW11/12 runway shows and for inspiration - paintings by Frida Kahlo and Bente Schlick

2011-11-08T09:21:00.000-08:00

Again: the series of post conversed the FW 11/12 trends.

The first one – Modern Witch – Look. Remember “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs” and others fairy tails.

I've made for you this selection of looks FW 11/12. And as inspiration of course — paintings of Francisco de Goya, William Merritt Chase and Michael Parkes. Enjoy!

Sleeping beauties

2011-11-06T07:49:00.000-08:00

Sweet November at the sea. Sometimes there big old stubs get bare - an breathtaking sight. A big stone remain between their, and you also can see dead jellyfishes at the sand bars. They get frozen and lie there like the Snow White in their crystal coffins. A sad nevertheless beautiful fact.

Autumn in The House

2011-11-01T10:43:00.000-07:00

The 1st of November. Congratulations, guys! The New Year's Eve is coming soon but now you also have the opportunity to enjoy the one of greatest time of the year.

What about me, I like Autumn and particularly November. It's time of free-air-walking, of events you have to spend with your favourite books or watching really good films, it's time to go to theatre or cinema with friends and after it you also can always drop in to the nice cafe to toss of a glass or two of green wine.

This pictures were made by my brother at an old free-air cafe, that was closed cause of cold times. Do you like it? I obviously do!

Frankfurt Book Fair 2011: The Freak Show

2011-10-17T01:32:00.000-07:00

There is the funny custom at the Fair: in last two days a lot of freaks and manga-fans are coming here and it looks like a big Disney-parade. You can see it on my photos.

And now I'm finally "back in town". It's a strange feeling - you don't want to come back and at the same time the meeting with your family and friends make you very happy.

The Second Day on The Fair: First Purchases and Steve Jobs Biography

2011-10-15T16:17:00.000-07:00

The second day was also full of new books, meetings and impressions. We spend the whole day at the Fair, where I've found a stand with a big Steve Jobes photo, that announced the biography of him. After lunch (I've had feesh&chips - a thing you unfortunately can't find anywhere in Kaliningrad :( ) we went back to the Fair. Later I droped in to the shops, you can see the result :D and we went to an breton restaurant. So, after it all I was shitless tired but also impatiently waiting for the next day ;)

The antique book, that costs 60,000 Euro, OMG :D

Typical british: Fish&Chips :D

And than comes Breton: the onion soup

Some purchases: cashmere turtleneck sweater, white sweater, tweed-jacket à la Chanel - from Benneton and black rubber boots - from Sisley - absolutely must have for the FW'11/12

Frankfurt Book Fair 2011

2011-10-14T12:05:00.000-07:00

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the most biggest marketplace for books and media in the world. Now I feel like a little child during the Christmas: everyweare are wonderfull books and other printed stuff. Unfortunatelly they are not avaliable to buy yet :(
So here are the pictures from the FBF'11 - you can see, in what a Wonderland your Alice is :D

Landed in Frankfurt

2011-10-12T12:08:00.000-07:00

Hy guys, here I am, yesterday landed in Frankfurt. Do you remember I've promised some news? Here is the beginning!
I have a business trip to the Book Fair 2011, that takes place in Frankfurt am Mein in Germany. We arrived yesterday, but we were very tired so we just had a dinner in the City and then went to our apartment.
We rented a car and leased a flat. It's really great and very comfortable even for five person.
And today was the opening of the Book Fair, where we spend the whole day. The photos from that wonderful place I'll publish tomorrow!

The Hen Party

2011-10-06T06:36:00.000-07:00

You know, in the end of September my friend Natali has married. But before it, when she was only about to be married, she invited her girls (and me too) to the hen party. She borrowed a limo and we've spend a wonderful night, full of laugh and сhampagne.

Fall weekend. Part 2.

Other beautiful pics. Just can't get enough :D

Fall weekend. Part 1.

2011-10-02T01:34:00.000-07:00

Again I feel a bit guilty towards you, my readers, for leaving you without new posts for a week. But I have an excuse: last weeks I was working on a project that is very important for me. Now I can’t tell you about this, but I’ll let you know in a few days! But that was not the end of good news! And I also will tell you all a bit later.

And now – a new photos, taken this Saturday at the one of the most beautiful places on the Earth – Kurishe Nehrung. The 1.October is my fathers Birthday, so we went there to spend the day together, enjoying the beauty around us.

There was taken so many photos, that I’ll make two posts. The second comes tomorrow!

Have a nice Sunday you all!

My friends wedding's day

2011-09-24T05:14:00.000-07:00

My friends Natali and Valera are now married! I can't believe! The wedding ceremony was so pompously and so touching, especially the moment when Natali's father led her to the altar, where Valera was waiting.

For this wonderful event I bought a bonnet and dressed myself uncommon way. I looked like somebody between Alice in Wonderland and Sarah Jessica Parker. But I don't need to tell you it all, just have a look at my pictures!

Join me in supporting this cause!

2011-09-20T21:17:00.000-07:00

I was horrified and infuriated when I've seen this:

The city Lysychansk (eastern Ukraine) is shooting and burning animals alive as part of Football Preparations for Eurofoot 2012.

Ukrainian Authorities are now using a mobile crematorium to exterminate stray animals. The local government bought a mobile crematorium for the disposal of stray animals. The mobile team of drivers and dog catchers are armed with a gun to shoot strays. The mobile crematorium also lends it to other cities and districts of the region.

The captured animals are thrown alive into the oven to 900 degrees C. According to locals, the dogs and cats burned alive.

The concentration of stray animals is not critical and can easily be controlled. The problem of stray animals to be solved by sterilization. We are horrified to learn the problem of stray animals in the Luhansk region in the town Lysychansk in Eastern Ukraine will be "solved" in this way and ignoring the Law on Cruelty to Animals.
