Temporary Goodbye from the Fashion Meteorologist...

Hey guys!

It is with great sadness that I bid farewell to The Fashion Meteorologist...for now... It's been a very hectic few months and I've barely had time to sleep let alone post. So I've come to the decision that for now, it is probably best for me to focus on other things. I will still hopefully be able to create the occasional Polyvore set or two but for the time being I won't be producing any new posts on the blog. I hope that you will still use the site as a resource for when you have those little weather dilemmas and who knows, once things settle down, maybe I'll be back!!!

Thanks to everyone who has read/followed/tweeted/commented on the blog and if this your first visit, take a look around, there are lots of (hopefully!) helpful bits for you to read!

Let this easy flowchart tell you what style of clothes you should be wearing in order to flatter your favourite bits and hide the bits that you don’t like as much. All you have to do is answer some quick questions about measurements and the clothes sizes that you are currently wearing and then find out what shape you are. The rest is done for you!

Website of the Week: Monki

As a dedicated bargain hunter, I am always on the lookout for new websites, particularly those selling unusual items for low prices! So, I was more than enthused when, while looking for fur mittens for my last post, I stumbled across Monki. Monki, who describe their stores as being "walk-in closets filled with treasures!" is a quirky little site with lots of fab (and most importantly affordable) items for sale. They have stores all over the world (including Denmark, Germany, and China to name a few) and for all the lucky Londoners out there (myself included!), currently their only UK store is in Carnaby Street.

After having a browse of their website, here's my wishlist of goodies my heart desires!...

From Catwalk to High Street: Alexander Wang Fall 2013

One thing about fashion that I always find confusing is how to connect fashion seasons to weather seasons. As lovely as it would be to wear some of the fab items that graced the catwalks of spring/summer 2013 catwalks last year (many of which are beginning to trickle into the shops), right now it’s just not practical! Of course you can layer up and adapt the outfits to the current climate but why do that when you can just pick a fashion season, which matches the weather?

Yesterday, designer-of-the-moment Alexander Wang revealed his ready to wear Fall 2013 line in New York. His designs were full of lush furs (loving the mittens!), comfy wools, zip-embellished leather and oversized outerwear - all things totally weather appropriate for now. I literally could imagine wearing his collection everywhere; it was so practical and yet so chic! So, inspired by Mr Wang’s fabulous set, I’ve put together a wearable high-street interpretation for you! Enjoy!

What To Wear To...A Winter Graduation

My sincerest apologies for my recent absence from the blogsphere! Life has been totally hectic since my return from holiday. I started my internship this week after 3 months of working from home (largely in my pjs!!) so am struggling to get back into the swing of things.

Anyway, yesterday marked an important milestone in my life (and one which if I'm honest, I didn't think I would reach!) - my Master's Graduation! After what was quite possibly the hardest and most miserable year of my academic life, I somehow managed to pass and live to tell the tale! I knew that this graduation would differ quite a bit from my undergrad graduation in many ways but as usual, my main concern was with the weather. Dressing for a summer graduation is definitely a piece of cake in comparison to dressing for winter, particular one which has for the last couple of weeks been referred to a the big freeze! It took my half an hour yesterday morning to dig the car out of the inches of 'light snow,' I dread to thing how bad it must have been for those coming from outside of London. But like true troopers, everyone managed to beat the weather, looked lovely and it was a fab day overall! See below for what I wore...

My top tips for dressing for a winter graduation:

Tights are a must, even nude ones. It is just not practical to be walking around outside in -1ºc temperatures without tights! (...at least not anymore :-D!)
A good pair of ankle boots or shoe boots keep the feet warm while still looking professional. I lost count of the amount of ankle boots I saw yesterday!
If you follow the above tips then with dresses/skirts, anything goes. You might not want to go for sleeveless if you get cold however, it is important to remember that it can get pretty heated under the gowns so if your a naturally hot person go for comfort. I am a naturally cold person so a 3/4 length cottony dress (above) was the perfect amount of coverage for me. It was also a bargain at only £15 from Dorothy Perkins in the sales!
This is really a minor but don't forget to consider the colour of your gown when picking your colours. Our gowns were green and black so I went for teal to complement it.

From Catwalk to High Street: Black and White

Happy Friday everyone! Today I've got a fab trend alert for you! After a warm-coloured winter of oxbloods and purples, black and white is officially back as a trend for Spring 2013 (not that it really went away!). Seen on the catwalks of designers such as Mark Jacobs, Jill Sander and Ralph Lauren, this spring's monochrome look is all about stark contrast - less polka dot and more colour block (though of course polka dots are not to be ignore!). Black and white is definitely one of my favourite combinations, although in writing this, it has come to my attention that I have seriously been neglecting it recently. So what better a reason to riffle through the wardrobes for your favourite black and white items and accessories and play them of each other in stark opposition!

Black and white combinations are literally endless! Stripes, colour blocking, prints, spots - anything can be used to create a stunning monochrome look. For a simple but eye catching look, why not try teaming a plain black top with plain white bottoms (skirt, trousers whatever!) or visa versa. With black and white being wardrobe staples for most, this is definitely one of the easier trends to try out this spring! My New Year's Style Resolution - Bold Accessories

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope you had a fab time celebrating the end of 2012 and the start of 2013! I am soooo excited about the New Year; graduation is in a couple of weeks, I start my new internship shortly and I've got a few christening and a wedding to look forward later in the year. Although there are lots of exciting things to look forward to, my favourite part of entering a New Year has still got to be New Year Resolutions. As someone who is obsessed with self-reflection and self-assessment, the New Year is the perfect time to self-assess and reflect, work on what you could have done better and continue to do things which were successful.

This kind of self-assessment can totally be applied to your wardrobe too and there is no better time than the start of a New Year with a wardrobe re-assessment and clear out! What worked for you last year? What didn't look so good or didn't suit you? Do you have a look you would like to try out? All these questions (and many more) can really help to mould your personal style while keeping the emphasis on you and not only on trends. It can definitely be difficult to avoid jumping on every trend that comes out regardless of whether or not they are suited to your look, personality, body shape etc...There are always ways to adapt trends to your personal style and a good wardrobe self-assessment can definitely put you in the right mind set to be able to do this.

Although I won't be able to do a full wardrobe assessment until I get home, I have set myself one cost-effective and much needed New Year's style resolution for 2013: Focus on accessories. In particularly jewellery (minus earrings, of which I already have too many!) which can totally change the mood and styling of an outfit in a minute. I am seriously lacking in necklaces and bracelets, especially coloured ones (I have loads of gold and silver) and will focus my attention on building up a more versatile collection. Any trends that I feel particularly enthusiastic about, I will try to integrate them into my wardrobe through accessories and hopefully save myself much needed money and wardrobe space!

What to Wear When Travelling - Cold Climate to Hot

I hope everyone is by now fully recovered from a fruitful Christmas and preparing for the New Year! A quick little post here for anyone hoping to catch some winter sun and escape the dreary winter weather!

I always struggle when deciding what to wear travelling with the comfort vs. style dilemma constantly at the forefront of my mind. When a flight or journey is short term (say a couple of hours) this is not so much of an issue, existing in slight discomfort in the name of fashion can be done. However, when a 9 hour flight is awaiting you after an already longish 1 and a half hour drive to the airport, a onesie is the only thing that I want to wear! However tempting this may be, it is not an option! There is, however, a meeting place between comfort and style in which neither is compromised and that allows you to reach your destination without looking a hot mess!

After doing my usual troll online for solutions (and with a little help from some very helpful polyvorers!) The below outfit worked a treat as a presentable but extremely comfortable travelling outfit. Here are a few travel friendly tips when dressing for flights or long journeys:

Layers are your friend! Looking remotely presentable leaving London on a not so sunny day in December for an extremely humid evening in Barbados was totally dependent on layering. I noticed that many people did not utilise this incredibly useful fact and ended up in 27ºC evening heat in boots, jeans and shirts. Not comfortable and not a good look! A simple tank under a shirt of blouse can add warmth in the cold while being your basis for your warm weather outfit. Alternatively if it is not to cold you may be able to get away with just a t-shirt/blouse under a thick jumper, easy to remove and very comfortable.
Footwear can often be a tricky choice when changing climates (as described above!) which is why I tend to go for ballet pumps with a pair of sandals in my hand luggage. In the cold, teaming the pumps with black socks, or tights if you are wearing a skirt or dress, keeps your feet toasty and comfortable without looking too outlandish. Then a quick switch before landing ensures that you are totally comfortable and your feet are not on fire once your land!
Accessories are everything, but just make sure that you don't overload on the metal! Nothing is more annoying than having to strip of all your metal items at security and then having the re-dress yourself afterwards. It's just long! This time I avoided the hassle by wearing wooden earrings and putting on my statement necklaces before landing as I was wearing a scarf on the journey. Also jeggings over jeans are both more comfortable and avoid the belt issue at security...[UPDATE: maxi skirts/dresses with tights or leggings underneath are also a good alternative!]

Here's an interpretation of what I wore...

Items: Wooly jumper (I got a similar one from Primark) , scarf, body warm/vest/gillet, pumps, tote bag, jeggings, blouse/top, statement necklace, earrings, nail varnish (for the toesies!), sandals/flip flops.

Sunshine and Rain - Dressing for Tropical Climates.

So, since I didn't get to do a post before I left, I thought I would at least do a quick post here from sunny Barbados! Although the climate is a drastic improvement from the grey skies and bitter winds of London, many similar fashion dilemmas still arise, and it is not as easy to predict the weather here, particularly as it varies so much from place to place! Despite the fact that Barbados is so tiny, it is very common for it to be raining on one part of the island and for another part (sometimes just down the road) to be perfectly dry with sunny skies. This creates obvious problems when deciding what to wear as you really cannot tell exactly how the weather will be where you are.

It is for this reason that when here, there are certain adjustments that I make to my fashion decisions which are slightly out of character for me. For example, I am very very particular when in London to plan my footwear based on whether it is going to rain or be cold. No such planning can be done here and in a way it doesn't need to. A shower in Barbados is what in London would probably be called heavy rain, the only difference is that it is short lived. This means that whatever shoes you have on, your feet will get wet regardless as the likelihood of wearing wellies is...unlikely. So, closed toe or open toe, it really depends on your preference, I don't mind having wet feet so usually I opt for open.

The biggest challenge that I face dressing for Barbados weather is in fact man made. With daytime temperatures averaging 28ºc at this time of the year, there is no escaping my most hated device - the dreaded air-conditioning! As a naturally cold person, air conditioning makes my life hell, particularly those set to unnaturally cold temperatures. Constantly going from super hot to extremely cold means that it is hard to maintain a stable body temperature, making colds almost inevitable. Carrying a cardigan or shirt to throw over if inside for long periods of time is the best bet, however if going in and out regularly (like when shopping) means most of the time I just have to suck it up and deal with it...

Capsule Wardrobe 101: 3 Week Beach Holiday

So, in approximately 6 days time (not that I am counting or anything!) I am off to sunny Barbados for 3 weeks! Considering the minus temperatures that London has been experiencing this week, I can't deny that the warmer climate (generally 28º - 32ºc!) is very inviting right now. But, as with any trip, the dilemma of what to pack had me stumped, particularly because after several short trips this year, 3 weeks seems like a life time! However, after spending hours trolling through probably every packing guide/blog post available online as well as capsule wardrobe advice, I came up with the following list...

2 shirts - 1 denim and one black. These can either be warn as they are or over tops/t-shirts like a jacket
4 t-shirts - each in different colours
2 vest tops - including a black one (always essential!)
2 blouses/ dressy tops - these should be able to be worn casually too
2 casual shorts - if your not a shorts person, you can add an extra pair of jeans or skirt
1 maxi dress - as I am tall, maxi dresses tend to be really heavy but if your not then add more!
1 normal dress - this should be able to be worn casual and dressy
1 jumpsuit/playsuit - strapless ones are great for the beach
1 beach dress/cover up - another item that should be versatile
1 maxi skirt - I'm going for a black one but any colour is good really
2 mini skirts - maybe in different styles, I picked a high-low skirt to change it up
1 pair of trousers/jeans/jeggings/chinos - preferably in a neutral colour
1 cardigan - not black as the black shirt serves this purpose
2 bikinis/swimsuits - I'm not really one for bringing lots of bikinis, I just want one to wear when the other is wet!
1 pair of flip flops - for obvious reasons
1 pair of wedges - comfortable and dressy (but also casual :-) )
1 pair of flat sandals - for those days when flip flops won't do
1 pair of trainers/closed-toe shoes - for those rainy days or days when considerable walking is required
1 beach bag - can be doubled up as your travel bag (which is what I am doing)
1 clutch bag - nights out, dinner etc.
1 sun hat - sun and hair...
2 sunglasses - 2 different styles maybe on more fancy?
Tons of accessories - a mixture of gold and silver, versatile things that can be dressed up or down

Minus the accessories and swimwear, below is the above materialised! It should cover activities such as beach time, shopping, lunches/dinners, bars etc. Most of the items I actually own and will be packing...

Dress for Success - Interview Outfits for the Cold

Hi guys! Apologies that it has been a little while since my last post but I am back!

So, today I had an interview for an internship with a fantastic music organisation and really wanted to make a good impression. I was totally thrown however when I check the weather and much to my horror, the 'feels like' temperature was showing 1°! I roughly knew what I wanted to wear as a while ago I purchased a bunch of peplum tops in different colours from New Look specifically for this type of occasion, but definitely found that I had to weather-proof for the hour journey there and back.

Weather proofing strategies...
The stretchiness of the top and the fact I was wearing a blazer on top meant that I was able to conceal an ultra-warm black long sleeve top underneath. To eliminate the draft from my 3/4 length sleeves under my coat, my trusty arm warmers came into play. Finally to avoid looking like I was wearing leggings with my super cosy Primark tights, I went for the weather technology ones which are slightly lighter but still very warm (sadly these got caught on my boot zip on the way home and laddered!!! :-( ). I was particular undecided about footwear as it had originally planned to wear low-heeled black pumps. But a combination of not being bothered to carry flats and wanting to keep my feet warm led to me trying out my new ankle boots from Dorothy Perkins. They worked a treat and definitely didn't detract from the professional look I was going for.

Results...
The final result was definitely a winner! A professional outfit which kept me super warm and GOT ME THE INTERNSHIP!!! Although I did feel very overdressed compared to the other candidates, it does show that it pays to dress for success. See what I wore below, a few items are old but some still available to buy...

They accept donations of "high quality work-appropriate clothes in all sizes," so do spare a thought for them next time you do a wardrobe clear out :-)

Bargains In Unexpected Places...£1 Earrings

I was so excited by my purchases today that I had to come home and post straight away! But first I must make a confession to you...I am a earring-a-holic! I am totally obsessed with earrings, the stranger looking the better. I have no idea how many I have but since I have been wearing earrings since I was 2 months old (I am now 22!) I think I have accrued quite an extensive collection.

Recently, however, I have been trying to stop buying more as I barely have time to wear the ones I have, let alone any new additions. But I just couldn't resist today when my boyfriend and I went into Burton on a belt hunt and stumbled across their accessories/jewellery section. Now first of all, call me ignorant, but I was completely unaware that they sell sets of earrings for guys! They are pretty much identical to the ones they sell for ladies and ironically the designs are quite similar too. What really got me however, was just how cheap they had gone down too - the original prices were £6 but they had been discounted to £1!

Obviously I got them (or really I got my boyfriend to get them for me lol) and even picked up a £1 ring at the same time! RESULT!!!! The moral of the story is truly that bargains really are found in the most unexpected places, especially when you are not looking for them. Check out my purchases below...

What's In My Bag?... My Tools for Weather Survival

As my ultimate weather-navigating accessory, my handbag holds the essential items needed for me to avoid any mishaps when out and about. With a few exceptions which come and go from my staples (such as pens, painkillers etc.), I largely carry around the same things daily. So, I thought I would do a 'what's in my bag' post today to show you what lies in a fashion meteorologist's hangbag...

1. Umbrella - no explanation needed! / 2. Purse - This one is by Michael Kors and has endless compartments so that everything is in order / 3. Hand Cream - I have super dry hands and cannot leave the house without it! / 4. Make-up Bag - I keep all the little cosmetics items in this so they don't get lost / 5. Travel Perfume Atomiser - So that I can carry my fav scent wherever I go! / 6. Comb and Brush - For those windy moments / 7. Hand Sanitiser - Bacteria is not your friend... / 8. Vaseline - All purpose essential / 9. Carmex - Dry lips caused by hot or cold is not an option / 10. Nail kit - For those nail emergencies / 11. Tissues - Cold, hayfever, nosebleed...need I say more / 12. Hand wipes - For those sticky moments / 13. Keys - Gotta get in, right? / 14. Diary - I'd pick paper over electronic anyway / 15. Oyster Card + Holder - For getting around / 16. Handbag Hook - Who wants to put their handbag on the floor? / 17. Glasses - Blind without them! / 18. Spare Phone Battery - Smartphone batteries have notoriously short lives.

A bag organiser holds all of my handbag items making it super easy for me to change handbags at will. It can actually fit into a pretty small bag (think iPad/tablet sized) so is very useful! This one was from Primark and cost around £3.

In all honesty, I had never heard of Fashion Union so didn't really know what to expect. Today was another one of those days where I have failed to follow my own fashion weather advice and have heavily paid the price! But let this be a lesson to myself for ignoring rule no.1 of dressing for the weather: Always check the weather forecast before going out.

In all fairness, since finishing studying I barely venture out unless it is truly necessary. So today's venture, which I underestimated as being quite straight-forward, was somewhat of an aversion to the recent enjoyment of watching bad weather from the comfort of my room which I have been getting used to of late. Let me tell you, getting soaked by heavy showers TWICE before getting lost when your phone decides it doesn't want to give you any internet signal (i.e. no google maps) and battling high winds with your umbrella in one hand, soggy (non-responsive) smart phone in the other is just not cool! 20 minutes late and looking like you've been hit by a giant wave, I've have definitely learned my lesson and WILL NOT be leaving the house in future clueless to the impending the weather conditions.

Let this be warning to you all of the fashion dangers of not preparing for the weather! Here's what not to wear on a day like this...

So I was browsing the internet, as you do, and I came across a fab website that will surely be of use to us all! Daily Dress Me literally "tells you what to wear based on the weather."With straight-forward pictures of outfit ideas for each day based on the temperature and weather conditions, this is the essential tool for beginning to plan your outfits! You can pick your location and whether you want temperatures in celsius or fahrenheit, making it super accessible.

I will definitely be using this website as a starting point when deciding what to wear for the day. Obviously, they are merely suggestions and don't have to be stuck to, but on days when your creative fashion juices have dried up, why not use Daily Dress Me as a stimulus and model your own outfit of their suggestion?

Dressing for the Weather 101: 10°c and under

Apologies that I have been M.I.A. on the posting for a while but have been super busy! But I am back with some sound, tried and tested fashionable weather advice for you guys!

It is currently, if it hasn't already, approaching winter in London. With temperatures generally moving up and down around the 10°c degrees mark, it can be tricky to judge how much wrapping up is really necessary. For example, Wednesday was visibly a beautiful day. Sun shining, not a cloud in the sky but with temperatures just about reaching 10°c. As a paranoid weather dresser, I was prepared for this and dressed for the temperature over anything else, which definitely did the trick! Below are a few of my hints and tips for outsmarting the somewhat deceptive current climate...

Perfect example of Winter Sun in London!

Do not be deceived by the sun! With the evenings drawing in earlier, any heat generated by the sun (which in all honesty is not much!) during winter will ultimately disappear once it starts to go down. If you are going to be out and about after sunlight but begin during daylight bring extra layers such as hats and gloves for when it starts to get dark. You will appreciate them! Although 10°c is chilly, it is not freezing, so save your hardcore winter clothes for colder temperatures. Lack of sun and excessive cloud can definitely make is seem colder than it is (and of course, the opposite warmer) so check the weather forecast for the 'feels like' temperature too before making those all important fashion decisions. Don't forget to factor in the wind which can also make a considerable difference both physically and fashionably. Above 15mph is generally breezy (check out this fantastic yahoo answer breakdown of wind speeds!) Dressing for what it feels like definitely trumps dressing for what it actually is and is a much smarter choice!
Weather apps are your friend! I cannot literally not leave the house, let alone plan an outfit without consulting both The Met Office and The Weather Channel phone apps first. Both display 'feels like' temperatures and also break up the weather by hours/time periods so its easy to plan your outfit for the whole day. Very useful for avoiding deceptive sunny times, particularly if rain is forecasted later in the day...this has often saved my shoes more than anything else!
Everyone's body reacts to temperatures differently so its important to know your own personal temperature limits. For me, 10° is too cold for pumps without socks or tights but definitely not UGG boot weather (I save those until at least under 5°!). I do however revert to the winter jacket as it is a bit chilly for the cape, especially after dark. Test different amounts of layering for short trips out to see what your temperature limits are, it definitely makes planning outfits a lot easier once you know...

All Weathers Item of the Week - Primark Zebra Jumper

As a self-confession budget bargain-hunter, it gives me nothing but joy to make a cut-price purchase! So when I popped into Primark today with the intention of getting a pair of smart black trouser (which I subsequently didn't get!) and was greeted with so many steals, I just couldn't help myself!

Of the stuff I unintentionally walked out the shop with, my favourite has to be the most adorable zebra wooly jumper which came to a grand total of £5! I have been slightly obsessed with zebras and zebra print since the summer so when I spotted it, there was no question that I would have to have it. The price just made the deal sweater!

Its the perfect jumper to throw on during this chilly period and is versatile enough to be warn with both trousers/jeans and skirts/dresses. I can imagine when it really gets cold, teaming it with a cute skirt or dress, some coloured tights and a warm pair of boots...I cannot wait to start wearing it!!!

Who wears short shorts?!...

Apologies that it's been a few days since my last post but I am back with a fabulous selection of items for you to view! With the winter coming in, today I wanted to highlight one of my favourite items of clothing - shorts! - which can be brought from your summer wardrobe into your winter one with a few adjustments.

Now, there are several reasons why I truly believe that shorts are one of the best and most versatile items of clothing a person can own. Here are just a few:
1. They can be easily dressed up with a sexy pair of heels or down with a pair of trainers
2. They are suitable for any weather! Tan building with bare legs in the summer or with a cute pair of tights in keep your pins toasty in the winter, shorts really do easily cross all weathers.
3. They come in so many styles and shapes there is a pair of shorts out there for any lady regardless of their height, weight, shape etc.

Since 3 is my lucky number I will stop there (!) but there are so many other reasons that a great pair of versatile shorts should definitely make it into your wardrobe essentials. See below for my 4 top picks for this season.

These hot pants are ultra glam and perfect for the upcoming Christmas party period. They are so effortlessly glam that simplicity is really the way to go with clothing and accessories. Its all about the shorts with these one!

Another pair of shorts currently in my wardrobe (but in black), I love the burgundy/oxblood colour of these classy high-waisted shorts. Although they may not look it, they are actually made from quite a stretchy material making them extra comfy for any occasion from work to dinner. The belt add a really cute touch too!

'Frankenstorm': The Attack of Hurricane Sandy

It's a well know fact that us British love to moan about the weather. It could be the most beautiful summer's day with 28°C and a warm breeze and you can guarantee that somewhere out there a British person is pursing their lips and complaining that it is to hot!!!

But let's spare a thought for those American's who, far from complaining, embrace their often freak weather and who are approaching this Halloween with the threat of the ultimate 'Frankenstorm'. In particular, the dedicated weather reporters who brave the wind and rain to bring everyone the latest weather updates definitely deserve some serious kudos right now. For those of you braving the storm The Week have published a really helpful fact sheet of 7 tips to stay safe which is a definite must to read. For those of us who fortunately out of harms way, this just put into perspective how frankly pleasant (in comparison) our current weather is and I'll definitely be thinking twice next time I have a weather-related rant (though to be fair it is inevitable that I cannot avoid them all together!).

Farewell Jacket Weather from Nelson Mandela and I...

Today was absolutely freezing!!! Autumn seems to have come out of nowhere and winter is fast approaching. It seems that in a week the leaves on the trees have turned from green to yellow, the temperature has drastically dropped and the seasons have completely changed!

For me, this sadly means that it is time to say goodbye to my leather jacket, my trusty accomplice for the last few months of dodgy and unpredictable weather. But fear not, for my other trusty goto - the cape! - has come out to play. Perfect for days like today when its not cold enough for the winter coat (I'll probably wait for it to get to 10°c or less) but is definitely not jacket weather (which to me is 15°c or above); a woollen cape is a total Godsend for days like today!

Today, a simple misunderstanding (on my part)! had me standing in the middle of Parliament Square for over half an hour in the wind, rain and cold! As much as I enjoyed the company of Nelson Mandela, had I been stood next to the correct Nelson Mandela statue (warmly located INSIDE of the Southbank Centre) then I would not have had to unnecessarily endure 11°c without shelter! Needless to say the cape saved the day again, and I live to tell the tale...

The tights I had on are from Primark, they have a great deal of a 3-pack (one black, one teal and one burgundy) for £3. The best things is that they use heat technology that adjust with the heat - so they warm you up when it's cold and keep you cool when it is hot! Definitely my top pick weather bargain!
