The original “Million Dollar Shoe”, which debuted at the Academy Awards in 2002, was adorned with 464 diamonds.

FASHION BOARD ANNOUNCES FEB. 14 DEADLINE FOR DESIGN COMPETITION

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fashion Board at the University of South Carolina announces a Feb. 14 deadline for their

statewide Student Designer Competition. Students chosen to show in the April 10 show, will be announced

on Feb. 29 at the Board’s Carolina Cup preview event, Bows and Beaus.

Black Radiance Body Building Mascara

A few weeks ago I went to Walmart. While I was there, with the sincere intention of only buying one item, I saw this three pack of Black Radiance mascara for almost $5. It was steal, so I had to buy it. Duh! The first mascara I tried was the Body Building Mascara. It regularly retails for $2.99 by itself at your local Walmart, Rite-aid, or other beauty/drugstore that sells Black Radiance, and I fell in lurve with it!

The website says, “Smudge-proof, water-resistant formula that creates thick, long lashes every time. The thicker brush combs
and separates lashes to prevent clumping and creates extra volume. When it comes to perfecting lashes,
great body is essential.”

I find that that product description is the truth! The Body Building Mascara comes with a huge brush that lightly coats all of my lashes, but makes them look really big. If I could take a picture of my eyes without blinking I would. My lashes look so beautiful and light without any clumpage. I don’t even think that is a word, but whatever. I love this mascara, and am contemplating whether I should try the other ones or not. Hmmm… I think I am stuck on this one for a while. Photo from Black Radiance.

Spring 2012 Couture Gets Girly

Elie Saab, Valentino, and Jean Paul Gaultier showed either preciously pastel or rowdy rock and roll inspired collections. Elie Saab showed dainty pastels that would be perfect for the upcoming Oscars. Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri created flowery printed gowns perfect for the girlest girly girl. Jean Paul Gaultier’s new couture collection was inspired by Amy Winehouse, so you know it is perfect for any beehived diva! I am really enjoying the couture gowns this season. They are so beautiful!
