Part 1

*Calorie Burner*

Part 1
The Easy Activities

So you're trying to lead a healthy life? You want to eat healthy and lose weight or just eat healthy and be healthy for your own sake? That's fine, but you have to remember, none of this can be accomplished if you have no activity in your life.

You see, many people think that when a diet or a weight loss program says "activity", they have to DIE exercising for hours and hours every day. This is not true. REMEMBER: You burn calories even when you sleep! You don't have to do heavy crunches or run for 100 miles per hour all day in order to burn the amount of calories that you want.

I have done some research, and I have come up with a simple chart that will tell you how much calories you'll burn doing simple stuff outside or around the house, or simply... by doing nothing! Check it out. The first row is the type of activity, the second is the amount of time you are doing this activity and the third is the amount of calories you will burn doing this activity in that certain amount of time.

               ACTIVITY MINUTES BURNED CALORIES

Going up the stairs 5 85

Writing 11

Bicycling (easily) 193

Walking (normal pace) 5 29

Washing dishes 5 24

One orgasm (real) depends on person 27

So you see, if you don't have many calories to burn, you don't need to DIE working out. For instance, check this out. Let's say that you:

1. You brush your teeth two times a day, for 3 minutes each. That is 6 minutes of teeth brushing. So, by looking at the chart, you burn 11 calories if you brush your teeth for 2 minutes. This means: 11x3=33. You will burn 33 calories in total if you brush your teeth two times a day.

2. Let's say you masturbate once a day. For one orgasm, you will burn 27 calories.

3. You do housework every day, even if it is as simple as wiping dust away or wiping the floor. If you do housework for 10 minutes a day, you will burn 62 calories.

4. You work or/and study. If you sit in a desk and think about something hard (like studying or doing your job if you work in an office) for 3 hours, you will burn 235x3=705 calories!!! Your brain needs a lot of energy to think or to study. Remember that.

5. You stretch in the morning? Well, for five minutes of stretching, you will burn 42 calories.

Now, let's add this all up together. If you do all these VERY SIMPLE AND NOT VERY DIFFICULT things in just one day, you will burn a total of 902 calories. So, you don't have to die working out. But please, do not misunderstand me. I am not discouraging you from exercise. Working out is good! My point is, that you can burn enough calories as it is, without having to go to the gym, without having to do 200 crunches in one day. This chart is useful for people who work a lot and have no time for working out. But, it is also useful for all of you out there who are killing yourselves with exercise that you don't need that much. If you want to burn fat, crunches are not going to help you so much. Work out, but don't exaggerate. You can burn enough calories without work out anyway. Just follow this chart, use a stopwatch and monitor how long you do these activities, and you will know how much calories you burnt in the end. Easy peasy!

-Piper Blurred

Recipe: Mother Nature Bowl

*Recipes*

The "Mother Nature Bowl"

Alternative Vegetarian Lunch

(Healthy!)

My dear readers,

Today, I have come up with an interesting, tasty and healthy vegetarian recipe for all of you who are trying to eat healthy, lose weight, or simply enjoy in meals like these. This is not an expensive meal, it is easy to prepare and low on calories, and you do not need many ingredients.

TIP: This meal can be eaten by itself, or it can be used as an interesting side dish for something else.

WARNING: This is a recipe for a one person serving, so if you want to serve more people, just double the amount by the amount of people you want to serve. You get it, I don't have to explain .:D

Let's get started!

Before I begin, I have to point out that the amount of calories in each ingredient are not precise because it depends which brand you are using (the cheese, in this case) and how you cook your meal. But please note, DO NOT FRY OR BAKE the vegetables, because then the meal loses its healthy disposition. You can only steam them or boil them.

Here is what you will need:

1. 100 grams of fresh or frozen peas

(approximately up to 60kcal)

2. 100 grams of fresh or frozen heads of cauliflower

(approximately up to 30-40 kcal)

3. one smaller onion

(Does this even have calories? :D)

4. 100 grams of cottage cheese

(approximately up to 80 kcal, if you manage to find a low calorie one, like I did)

5. salt

(the amount of salt to add will be explained further in the preparation process)

HOW TO PREPARE:

1. It is much more preferable if you steam the vegetables. However, if you do not have a steamer, then... tough luck, you will have to boil them. If you are steaming them, then you know what to do. Put the peas and the cauliflower in separate containers in the steamer, and add half a tea spoon of salt to each. If you are boiling them, then boil them in two separate dishes and also add half a tea spoon of salt to the water and then, after the water boils, add the vegetables.

2. Steam for 25 minutes. If you are boiling, then boil for 30-40 minutes, it depends on the quality of the peas. You will have to check with a fork if they have softened.

3. Meanwhile, slice the small onion into tiny pieces. Get the cottage cheese out of its container and weight out 100 grams.

4. When the vegetables finish preparing, mix them all up together in a bowl. Add a full tea spoon of salt. If you don't use salt, then that is fine. Add the sliced onion into the vegetables and mix it.

5. Add the cottage cheese over the vegetable - onion mixture.

And there you go! Your dish is finished and served. It was very easy, wasn't it? At that moment, I was not very interested in it because I had some stomach and metabolic problems, and lemons were not a great idea for my condition. However, after some time, I decided to try it and I found it alright. It was only alright for me because I have a very complicated metabolism and diets rarely work on me. But, if you have a normal metabolism, then this diet could be great for you. Let's begin!

THE LEMONADE DIET:

Duration: 20 days

Things that you need: lemons (approximately 120 lemons, but buy more, just in case), plenty of water

Warning: this diet is not suitable for people who have stomach problems. If you have an ulcer or other kind of stomach problem, you could have serious health problems if you go on this diet. Consult a doctor before you experiment!

Instructions:

This diet is very simple. You have to keep your eating to a minimum. You have to eat so that the lemons don't burn a hole in your stomach, but keep it to a minimum. Try to eat as less as you can, and keep away from sweets, fat and junk food. Eat five times a day.

DAY 1: Squeeze one lemon into one liter of cold water. Drink it during the day. But you must drink it all in 24 hours. Do not drink less. Finish it all.

DAY 2: Squeeze two lemons into one liter of cold water. Drink it during the day.

DAY 3: Squeeze three lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 4: Squeeze four lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 5: Squeeze five lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 6: Squeeze six lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 7: Squeeze seven lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 8: Squeeze eight lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 9: Squeeze nine lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 10: Squeeze ten lemons into one liter of cold water.

DAY 11: NOTE ----> Squeeze TEN LEMONS AGAIN into one liter of cold water.

DAY 12: Squeeze nine lemons into one liter of cold water.

/////// And so on, until you have dropped down to one lemon in a liter of water on day 20.

WARNING:

YOU MUST NOT ADD ANYTHING TO THE "LEMONADE". NO SUGAR, NO ADDITIVES, NO NOTHING! You will lose weight and cleanse your organism in these 20 days, guaranteed!

A friend of mine mentioned to me a few days ago that some stars in Hollywood used something called ''Liquid Diet'' to quickly lose weight for a shooting. This sounded interesting to me so I decided to share it with you.

The point is that you are not supposed to eat anything solid for a few days. All you can do is drink liquids and eat liquid meals, like soups or broths and everything similar.

After a little bit of research, I came to a conclusion that you should not be on this diet more than three or four days, because then it is not healthy anymore. You could create chaos inside your organism after the desired time. So, here are some tips for this diet:

TIP ONE: Try to avoid alcohol. Since you are not eating anything solid, you could get stomach problems if you drink. Perhaps you could have a couple of beers tops, because beer is like bread. It will make you feel more sated.

TIP TWO: Drink/eat stuff that has a little bit more calories, since you are not eating. Suggestions: hot chocolate, yogurt, fruity yogurts, cafe latte, Starbucks coffee or similar, milkshakes... You get the picture.

TIP THREE: Eat a lot of soups or broths. They will give you some vitamins that you might lose in the lack of food.

This would be all for today! Most of us never have the time to sit down and enjoy a meal properly. This hurts are bodies terribly. When you stuff your stomach with food all of a sudden, it stops working properly and half the food you eat doesn't get digested properly. This is stressful for your metabolism and organism. It could also be one of the reasons why you are feeling tired, cranky, or as if you ate bricks instead of food.

I am here to help you, to give you 10 basic tips on how to enjoy your food properly. I hope they will help you. If you do not find the time to enjoy food, then what's left for you? Even if you eat healthy food, your stomach cannot take the sudden pressure. You will have consequences.

If you are extremely hungry, or practically starving, it's even worse to stuff yourself suddenly. It's worse because your stomach was empty for a while, and all of a sudden it received a pile of food. You will surely throw up, or get a stomach ache, or simply feel bad or nauseous. Let's begin now, shall we?

ENJOY YOUR FOOD & EAT BETTER

10 TIPS

Tip #1: Time is Essential!

You need 30 minutes in peace to eat your meal, or at least 20 minutes.

Most people don't have time. Well, find it! I don't care how, but you must! Otherwise, you are doomed to constantly suffer stomach aches. When you are eating, eat for at least 30 minutes. If you really cannot find 30 minutes, then eat for at least 20. You cannot eat a meal in 5 minutes. That's a "no-no".

Tip #2: Environment & Atmosphere!

Eat somewhere where you feel good. Eat in a pleasant and stress free environment.

Again, this is hard to for people who work a lot. Well, use your half an hour or hour lunch break and go to a restaurant. Go to a restaurant that you like, or if it is too far away, go to the nearest pretty restaurant that you can find. If you don't have money for restaurants and if you are one of those people that brings lunches from home, then go out for your break and eat in a park or cafe. Just find a place you enjoy! If you are eating at home, sit in front of the TV, turn on a good movie, eat slowly and enjoy your meal and what you are watching/doing. If you are eating with other people, don't eat with them if they are nervous or angry. They will transmit the bad energy to you and your body will feel stressed while eating.

Tip #3: Activity, While Eating!

Try to do something while you are eating. This will slow you down, especially if you are starving.

Do something! Read a book or magazine while you are eating. This will slow your eating speed down. It will force you to make small pauses between your bites. If you are eating at a table with other people, talk to them. This will also force you to make pauses, and you will give the food time to settle down inside you properly. You don't have to make 5 minute breaks between bites! 15 seconds is enough, or maybe even less.

Tip #4: Do Everything Slowly!

While you're eating, move your hand slowly, chew slowly, swallow slowly. Do everything slowly!

This is essential, and it will buy your stomach time and allow it to settle the food well. Make slow moves with your fork. Swallow slowly and chew slowly. Bite down slowly. Yep, you got the picture.

Tip #5: Try To Prepare the Meal Yourself!

If you prepared your meal, you will enjoy it more than a bought meal.

You have to cook your own meal. This will make you savor your meal more than a meal from the store or ordered meal. If you cannot cook at your lunch break, then bring your cooked meal to work. Make it the night before, and pack it for the day. You will have in mind that you spend some time cooking it and your brain will tell you to savor it.

Tip #6: No Standing!

Try not to eat standing, it is not recommended.

If you eat standing, it will tell your brain that you are in some sort of a hurry and you will subconsciously eat faster. This is bad, like I said before. Sit down somewhere. Find a comfortable chair, or even an armchair could do the trick.

Tip #7: Rest!

Try to rest for a little bit, after you have finished eating.

After eating, stay seated and rest for a moment. You don't have to rest for an hour! Rest for at least 5 or 10 minutes. This will let the food settle down even better. Have a cup of coffee or light up a cigarette, if you smoke. Have a nice glass of juice or lemonade. Take deeper breaths and relax your muscles. If you start doing some activity, especially physical activities, right after eating: it will make you feel sick. Your food won't settle properly. You might even throw up.

Tip #8: No phones!

Keep your phone away, turned off, or in silent mode while you are eating.

Phones are stressful by themselves, especially if you are the kind of person whose phone rings constantly. Keep it away, or shut it up while you are eating! I have read many professional articles where doctors and other experts clearly say: keep the phone away during a meal! You get the picture!!!

Tip #9: Avoid "Hard" Food!

Avoid often eating food you know will make you feel bad or sick.

Yes, hamburgers can be tasty, but if they will give you gas or stomach aches: don't eat it every second day! Eat it once in a month, or once in two months. I'm not saying this so that you wouldn't gain weight. I am saying: why torture your body with "unpleasant" food constantly, when you can eat something that your stomach can support. It doesn't have to be hamburgers! For example: my stomach despises beans and cooked sausages. I love to eat these two things! Every time I eat them, I feel like I ate a bag of rocks, I get a terrible stomach ache, sometimes I get gas and sometimes I even throw up. Avoid this!

Tip #10: Try to Eat Healthy!

Try to avoid unhealthy food, this is bad for your organism and health, and not just your weight.

Ignore the weight for a moment. Unhealthy food makes your organism feel bad. Especially if you eat it often. This does not mean you have to stop eating it completely! No, just eat something unhealthy once in a week, or once in a month. Don't eat it more often than this. You might get consequences.

That would be all, for now! It is not caloric, low on fat and very healthy for you. Simple to prepare, it takes only 10 to 15 minutes to finish it. It's not expensive at all, either!

This meal is also suitable for vegetarians or vegans. It is also excellent for people who want to detox. However, you cannot eat only this every day. You can eat it every second day with other food, or you can eat it for breakfast every day, as long as you eat something else for lunch.

Ingredients:

1) a bag of processed rye flakes

(NOTE: The image is just an example, so that you may know what I mean. From time to time, we all get that "extra weight" after a holiday meal, after stuffing ourselves with sweets for days, or after a while of eating fast food because we have no time for cooking.

Then, we get desperate because we cannot fit into most of our clothes anymore and we realize that it's cheaper to lose weight than to buy a whole new wardrobe. Some of us decide to get thinner in order to keep healthy, while some of us want to get thinner just to look better.

Some people choose to go on a diet for medical reasons. I will not start with this topic now. This is a little bit more difficult, and usually people consult with a doctor in order to pick a medical diet. If you are one of these people, then this is not the post you should be reading.

Let's begin, shall we?

TIPS for picking out a diet:

1. TIME

You need time, and you need to have a flexible or fixed schedule in order to follow a diet.

The problem with most people is that they have difficult jobs, and it is hard for them to find time to cook special meals or to stick to a strict schedule. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but almost every diet requires that you have time for cooking or that you are able to eat at a specific time during the day. It will be difficult for you to find a diet that does not require this.

2. READ

Read the diet carefully.

Many people just skim with their eyes through the diet. When they begin with it and actually start to read the recipes or instructions before cooking/preparing, they realize that the diet is either difficult, expensive, too easy, ineffective or simply not for them. If you cannot afford the food you need for a certain diet, then pick another one. If the diet is not suitable for you, then pick another one!

3. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?

Pick a diet that has meals and food which you will enjoy.

People make a mistake when they pick a diet that is packed with meals that they do not like. If you hate soy, then don't pick a diet that has a lot of soy in it! Do you get what I mean? The point is that you should enjoy the food you are eating. You don't have to torture yourself with meals that you find repulsive or distasteful.

4. BUDGET

Pick a diet that you can afford.

I don't think I need to explain this tip much. If you don't have a lot of money, then pick a cheap diet. If you have money to waste, then pick a luxurious diet filled with expensive products. But if you have money to waste, then why don't you just go and get a liposuction? :D Just joking, surgery is not always a good solution.

5. SET A GOAL

How much weight do you want to lose? Set yourself a goal, and pick a diet that will be adequate for your goal.

Ah, this is a common error. Most people want to lose weight fast. Well, that's not a problem for people who want to lose just a couple of pounds. There are fast diets (some even last only for 3 or 4 days) than can help you lose a few pounds quickly. For example: there is a diet where you only eat apples for three days. However, if you want to really lose weight, a lot of weight, then you cannot pick a fast diet. To lose a lot of weight you must be on a diet for at least 3 months, or even a year or two. How do you plan living only on apples for 3 months, or let alone a year? I hope you get my point.

6. VARIETY

Try to pick a diet that has various meals and foods in it.

Since your body needs different types of foods in order to collect different vitamins, proteins, minerals and similar, try to pick a diet that has a lot of variety. Of course, this depends on your metabolism and your taste. If you are picking a longer diet, then variety is essential, you cannot eat the same 2 or three meals for months. If you, instead, are trying to pick a quick diet - then it won't hurt you to eat the same thing for a few days, therefore you may forget this tip.

7. REALISM

Try to be real with yourself.

Before you even start reading diets, try to realize if you are being real and if you will be able to follow your diet. If you are unable to stick to a diet, then following one is useless. Most diets require you to be continuous and precise.

8. HEALTH PROBLEMS

If you have any kind of medical problems, then you MUST consult a doctor, or at least "google" your condition and check out what you can and cannot eat.

I am serious about this. If you have any kind of medical condition or disease, you must ask a doctor or at least find on the internet or in the library what you can and cannot eat. For example: people with heart problems cannot eat some things that other people can. That's why you must find out what you can eat, and then avoid a diet that has foods which are forbidden due to your condition. Fast diets are extremely forbidden if you have health problems.

I hope this tips will help you.

If you have any questions, suggestions or anything to say to me, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email: piper_says_punk@yahoo.com

Have a pleasant evening!

-Piper Blurred
