Football transfer market is something that has always fascinated the faithfuls of the game, from the times when spending a million quid on a player seemed too costly, to the modern game, where someone like a Harry Maguire will cost a team 80 million British pounds. Yes, the times have changed, and so has the tactics of the teams involved. No longer is a transfer just a simple negotiation between

Dear Kylian Mbappe, Hello Kylian, how you doing? I hope you are pretty good, after all the fresh bag you just got must have made you feel like a God, innit? How is the smell of those crisp euros or dollars or whatever the f**k they paid you in....does it smell good? Fresh? Or does it smell of blood? Blood from the dream you just killed, blood from the soul you just sold. We, the faithful

There are a few things that are certain in life...death, taxes and Cristiano Ronaldo rescuing his team again and again. At the ripe age of 37, when most players hang up their boots, here we have one of the most decorated footballers of all time pulling his team out of the mud week in week out. Sure, the match was against a less fancied Norwich, sure it was against side who have lost all their

Manchester United take on Leeds in a crucial Premier League fixture away at Elland road with the hope of maintaining their top four position this season. United have been far from consistent this season, but a win against the struggling Leeds would surely lift the spirits ahead of a crucial Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. United, as one may remember won 5-1 on the opening day of

It's February, the shortest month of the calendar, the month which marks the gradual transition of winter to summer, via the spring. The beautiful flowers, the blue sky, the songs of the birds are enough to stir the soul of even the most rock hearted men and women. Add to that, this is the month which celebrates love, the passionate and intimate bond which has captivated mankind since the dawn

League leaders Hyderabad FC were beaten by two goals to one when they faced ATK Mohun Bagan in the ongoing Hero Indian Super League 2021-22. Manvir Singh and Liston Colaco were both on target as ATKMB eked out a narrow win to get back into top four. The teams played out an entertaining end to end match dominated by both teams in certain phases of the game.ATKMB manager Juan Ferrando opted for a

The Saudi backed takeover of Newcastle United, yes, the controversial £305 million purchase which marked the end of Mike Ashley's 14 years reign at the St. James' Park sparked much debate last year. Human rights groups were strongly against such a takeover while the Newcastle fans were over the moon. And why wouldn't they be? They are a set of fans who have seen it all, from being title

Where is Erling Haaland headed to? "I just want to play football." These were the words of Erling Haaland after his team's 5-1 win against Bundesliga rivals Freiburg SC. Haaland, making a return after a long injury lay up was under intense pressure both on and off the pitch. Speaking to Norwegian media house Viaplay after the match, Haaland said, "The last six months I have chosen not to say

I love watching football, be it club football, age specific tournaments, or even international football. Truth is football came into my life at a time I was really down bad and it sort of became my savior, my motivator, my source for happiness. As someone who watches most matches live, it was obvious for me to tune into the 33rd AFCON going on at the moment in Cameroon (if you wanna know more

Modern football is a tactical game. For the spectators, it might be just another game of football, but for the manager and his players, it is nothing short of a game of chess. The players are the pawns, with some being as powerful as the queen, and the manager is the one controlling every movement and decision. The goalkeeper protecting the king, that is the goal. This battle for supremacy has

Manchester United is by far the most popular English club in the world. Add to that, the addition of global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo this summer boosted their popularity to even higher levels. The net spending of the team in 2021/22 season was 126 million euros which saw players like Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, Tom Heaton and Cristiano Ronaldo arrive at Old Trafford. The onus was on the

Football, the beautiful game we all love and enjoy, should ultimately be for the players. Its their job after all, to honor their contracts and be professional under every instance, no matter how challenging the situation is. The players who are European and American, including both the North and South, are often helped a great deal by their federations as well the respect they receive from the

Real Madrid were shockingly defeated by Getafe away from home in their first league match of 2022. The goal, coming off an error by Eder Militao was enough to give three points to a Getafe side which Madrid were expected to beat. Madrid never looked the same after conceding the goal, and were nervy before a late final push to find the equalizer. The gaffer Carlo Ancelotti rightly pointed out

Football, the sport we love, the players we adore. Football gives us strength, courage, hope, a plethora of emotions like anger, happiness, sadness all within a span of 90 minutes. Football, as we know should always be for the fans. Fans or as I like to call them, the supporters should be the heartbeat of our wonderful sport. But lately, in the last decade or so there has been a shift in power

Manchester United bounced back to winning ways and top 6 after a 3-1 win vs Burnley at home. The win came at the back of a solid 1st half performance where they scored 3 goals but conceded a one in the process. The 2nd half was lull without much goal mouth action with United seemingly focused on securing the 3 points. Here are my takeaways from last night's match ;1. The ChangesRalf Rangnick

Real Madrid, the indomitable kings of Spain will look to usher in a new era next summer with the opening of the new Santiago Bernabeu. The pride of playing for the Los Blancos, wearing the royal white jersey, playing for the batch and being an emotion for millions of people worldwide is no small task. Every footballer dreams to play for legendary clubs like these, but with times things are

MANCHSTER UNITED VS NEWCASTLE UNITED : MY VIEWSManchester United finally played a league game after a gap of 16 days, though they would have asked for a better return. The Mancs played the Magpies in an away game they were expected to win with ease. Newcastle, the richest club in the world were far from intimidated by the big name in the opposition squad and were the better team for most of the

Chelsea won 3-1 vs a Gerrard-less Aston Villa thanks to a Jorginho double on boxing day. As entertaining the match was, here are my thoughts on both team's performance:-CHELSEA● Chelsea started with a 3-4-3 and looked threatening from the onset. The wing backs, especially Alonso kept running up and down the flanks providing the width. The 3 man defense with Silva in the middle played wide but were
