e-Card Scams

Social Media / Chat Scams
The “flirt-bot” is a computer simulated chat that tricks users into revealing their personal information on social media or other messaging platforms. Lauren’s Kids aims at educating adults and children about sexual abuse. The charity mans a 24-hour Crisis Hotline and Lauren Book, founder of the organization, conducts speaking engagements around the country talking about sexual abuse prevention. Lauren’s Kids holds an annual, statewide “Walk in My Shoes” event, which brings together survivors and advocates on a 39-day, 1,500 mile walk from Key West to the steps of our State Capitol in Tallahassee, stopping at sexual abuse centers and schools along the way.
