This would also allow doctors to practice medicine in a better way not always practicing defensive medicine in order to protect themselves from the law suits. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">2<sup>nd</sup> Government: The Federal and State Government should limit what is mandated coverage. Allow Companies to choose what plans they want. Telling Insurance Companies what has to be covered raises rates. We should not pick and choose certain conditions and put a mandate as to what should and should not be covered that decision should be between the Company and the Insurer. If the Company wants to attract and retain good employees they will have good benefits, the same goes for the Insurance Company if they want to stay in business they will offer good benefits at a reasonable price. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">3<sup>rd</sup> Pharmaceuticals: The companies making and discovering the many useful drugs should be allowed to make a profit, I have no problem with that. The problem I have is that you can go to Canada, Europe, Mexico and other countries and get the same drug as what is available in the United States for less money. We need to make it so they have to charge everyone the same for the Drugs. The United States should not shoulder most all the responsibility for research and development of the drugs. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">4<sup>th</sup> Hospitals: When someone can’t pay or doesn’t have insurance they use the ER because they can’t be turned away, and shouldn’t be turned away. When this happens how ever those costs are passed on to those who can and do pay. They should be able to write off those costs or be given some reimbursement from the government for those costs. There are a great number of those costs that are incurred by those who are in this Great Country Illegally and we should bill the country that these individuals come from for the care we give their citizens. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">5<sup>th</sup> Doctors: Doctors now must practice defensive medicine to keep from being sued this is not the best medicine that they could practice. The Doctors like the hospitals also must charge those who can pay for those who don’t or can’t pay. Doctors need to be able to make a good living or they won’t choose to practice at all. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">6<sup>th</sup> Insurance: Insurance Companies have been made the villain in the debate yet they can do the least, and have the smallest impact on cost. Insurance Companies should not be able to drop coverage on anyone as long as they pay their premium on time each month. Insurance should be allowed to rate for but not exclude pre-existing conditions permanently on individual policies, they should be able to exclude conditions for 12 to 18 months and then they should cover all conditions going forward. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:small;">7<sup>th</sup> People: We as a Country could make a big impact on our Health Care cost. We have gotten lazy, we don’t exercise like we should, we over eat. According to Statistics 67% of the Country is overweight or obese. This causes many of the health problems we have.
