A good thought on bringing attention to the importance of water preservation. Perhaps not the best follow through. This design “tries to persuade consumers to reduce the waste of water in an emotional way. Instead of forcing people to consume less which usually lead to uncomfortable experience, this basin will make people think differently about saving water by making consumption tangible.”

Solar / Wind Energy Update: A major wind power installation, the Alta Wind Energy Center, recently broke ground in the Tehachapi Pass of the the Mojave Desert foothills. Although the project is scheduled to take years to complete, it has the potential to bring as much as 3,000 megawatts of power to an area just 75 miles from Los Angeles.

This lovely little clock is beautiful in design and function. The Timeless Garden has no batteries or plugs to run it. It’s just the patch of grass reacting with the soil and producing a small electrical charge to the LCD screen that displays the time. We think this just proves how mother nature gives us clues for making a little less of a negative impact on earth.
