I love everything that represents middle-America and want my baby shower to be farm/rustic themed. However, when I tell everyone this they automatically assume I want it to be a farm-animal party. And as always, we have an example of this for our Frosted Readers. Recently we received a distress call from one of our Petticoat Brides. Here's what she said:

Nuptial Illusions

Besides making whimsical chocolate favors, our favorite thing about the wedding profession is getting to work with many unique characters from all aspects of life. Now, I don't know about the rest of the FP staff, but my particular favorite character is the "Out-of-the-Box" Bride! Some might think I am bias in this respect, because I myself was very much a bride who danced to the beat of my own drummer... I still do not see what is so odd about putting a vintage 1920s King Kong brass statuette on top of a $2500 cake at a black-tie wedding!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the "Out-of-the-Box" Bride, she is a rare creature with unusual taste -- purposefully straying away from the traditional; never envisioning her "dream" wedding until she has actually met her soulmate; and insistent that her and her fiance's personalities pervade every aspect of their wedding day. If you ask me, this is the Holy Grail of bridal clients! This is the "yes, you heard me right when I said I want to hand out chocolate skeleton cameos to my wedding guests"-type of a bride (*ackheem* click here to witness the awesomeness of such a request).

Today we'd like to honor these matrimonial free-thinkers, these conquerers of tulle, these pou-pouers of Mendolssohn's "Wedding March" (by the way, did I mention that my bridal party walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine"?). Our inspiration board today comes at the request of one of these bridal rock stars... she writes:

"Dear Sam, I want my wedding to be analogous to a painting by Monet: beautiful from afar, but kind of weird when you look at it up close. My fiance & I love the overall look of a formal black & white wedding, yet we want all the little details to be slightly off. For instance, we love animal heads on human bodies or things that look like flowers from a distance but up close they're actually skulls. It's so hard to explain but again, the vision in my head is like that of an old film: at first everything looks real, but when you start examining the details you realize they're all just an illusion. Can you accomplish this in an inspiration board to give our planning a jumpstart? -Molly."

Well, Molly let me start by saying... your wedding is going to be epic! I applaud you for wanting to do your own thing. Okay, now to the juiciness. I present to you, a wedding filled with Nuptial Illusions:
