In New York City there is always a problem, finding parking. As parking garages and lots are being transformed into Luxury High Rises parking is rather scarce in NYC. On the West Side of Manhattan there luxury homes being built to not only have good square footage, but to have parking accessibility in your home. Located on 200 11Th Avenue there will be luxury apartments that will range from about 1,300 sq. ft. to 3,500 sq. ft, and include a private, 300 square foot parking spot.
"This elevator system, the first of its kind in Gotham City, will recognize each resident’s car as it approaches the building’s entrance and then lift it, driver and all, to a private, parking spot in the sky adjacent to the resident’s apartment,” says Arch Record.
Look like the single Playboy or Single Vixen in Manhattan can come right of the West Side Highway and take the date to 1st base sooner than later with this amenity, or if the cops are tailing you this is good, lol!

Nowadays, there are more phone capabilities along with social networking apps then it is battery life! The question I have is how with better technology we have less efficiency on mobile devices? The answer, which is a little time away is Dyson Energy. The bracelet produces electricity by converting temperature from the skin and the ambient air, then storing it in a battery. The process of this conversion is called the Seebeck effect. Once the bracelet is charged you can unfold it and connect it with your mobile device.

Remember the end of the film Back to The Future when he said "we won't need roads where we're going"? Here is a car that is legal to fly and drive along with the cost of $82,000. The folks over at Parajet Automotive have a car for on-road and off-road enthusiast. Rather its a drive on a beach, desert or a nice semi-parasail that experience is given with The Skycar. If you are worried about technical dilemma's while in the air the folks at Parajet stated " It will be easier and safer to fly than any other aircraft, as it has no pitch control and therefore impossible to stall or dive. Should the engine fail, the pilot would simply glide down into the nearest field or strip of sandy desert. In the unlikely event of catastrophic wing failure, car connection system failure or mid-air collision, an emergency ballistic reserve parachute can be deployed."

I guess next time I hit traffic on 495 to the Hamptons I would want to be in this baby.
Oh did I mention it can take off with a strip of 200M!

Being Strategic By Erika Andersen

Change is always good, but key is being ahead of the change. I came across a interesting book be Erika Andersen. Erika Andersen is a strategist who many describe as the Suze Orman of strategy. Being technically I am a Social Trendsetter socially and Strategic Planner by profession I like reading books that relates to strategy or planning. In life you have to possess a will to dream, have goals, and most of all live the dreams and conquer the goals. In order to achieve things in life you have to plan and strategize. "Luck" is just something that come along in the plan. As Jay-Z says "You get return on your investments if attention you pay" or "When you play with skills good luck will happen, let's go". I learned however its about planning, and execution, nothing more nothing less. Erika Andersen gives us keys for planning success. I reccomend this book to read, haven't felt something like this since The Invisible Grail and Russell Simmons Do You. LET'S PLAN PEOPLE, ALL GOOD PLAYERS WON BY HAVING A GAMEPLAY AND EXECUTED THE PLAY WITH SKILLS!
Rather it be Kobe, Jay-Z, or Steve Jobs they had a plan to success!

Below is an excerpt from an interview from Brandmix

I'm pleased to welcome Erika Andersen to Brand Mix today. She's here on the first stop on the Post2Post Virtual Book Tour to talk about her new book Being Strategic, subtitled Plan for Success, Out-think your competitors, Stay ahead of change. Without further ado, here are Erika's answers to my questions.

Question One: You define being strategic as: “Consistently making those core directional choices that will best move you toward your hoped-for future.” It sounds easy when you say it like that! But what’s the toughest part of being strategic?

I’d say that word “consistently” is what most often trips people up. Often, I notice that even if a leader – or a group of leaders – creates an inspiring and achievable vision, and clearly defines the strategic and tactical plan for getting there…it’s all too easy to get knocked off track by whatever comes along: from day-to-day crises to a global recession!

But there are huge rewards to be reaped by those who can stay the course. I was just working with a group last week – a non-profit industry association with which we’ve worked for a number of years. They were coming in for a vision and strategy “reboot” – the yearly update we recommend our clients undertake to keep their thinking fresh and accurate – and they were pretty freaked out. Some in the group wanted to scrap the agenda and just figure out how to react tactically to some big and scary changes they were facing. I was able to persuade them that they could more comprehensively address their challenges by continuing to “consistently make those core directional choices…” etc. They re-created their plan to include addressing the current challenges, and were very pleased with the outcome – they ended feeling far clearer, more aligned and hopeful than when they came in.

Question Two: As you say in the book: “If you don’t know where you’re going, it’s hard to know how to get there.” I’m interested in your idea of “reasonable aspiration,” something that’s in between ignoring reality and setting the bar too low and contrasting that with the idea of a really big vision or “holy grail” (meaning an ultimate, perhaps even impossible, end-point). Do you think that there are times when it’s better to set the ambition bar higher or lower? Does it have something to do with resources available (e.g. a large company vs. an individual)?

I think it makes sense to align your setting of the “ambition bar” (I like that phrase!) with your current reality and your obstacles. Which is what using this approach is designed to help you to do. For instance, if your current reality includes a truly passionate and skilled workforce, adequate resources, and a market niche just waiting to be filled by your newest product, and there aren’t any significant or un-addressable obstacles – then you can set your bar pretty high. On the other hand, if your current reality includes a number of important weaknesses or deficiencies relative to you challenge and/or there are major “trolls” – obstacles – blocking your path to the future, you probably need to rein in your ambitions, at least in the short term, and focus on creating a better starting point. That’s why I call it “reasonable aspiration”: “reasonable” relative to where you’re starting from and what might be in the way, and “aspiration” implying that you’re hoping for and intending something more than you have right now – something that’s meaningful and inspiring to you.

Question Three: I notice from the book and from your blog that you place strong emphasis on simplicity. As Da Vinci said: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” but I’ve also seen it used as an excuse to dumb things down and avoid putting in the work. How do you make sure that you keep things simple without letting them become simplistic?

That’s exactly why I’m so fond of the idea of “the simplest thing that works.” It’s one of the core premises of all the work we do with our clients at Proteus, my company. When you get on a roll of simplifying something, you can easily over-simplify it to the point where it doesn’t really work anymore – that’s when it’s “simplistic. But if you focus on simplifying just to the point where the thing (approach, explanation, system, etc.) is as simple as it can be while still accomplishing the goal, voila! – the ultimate sophistication (another absolutely wonderful phrase).

Question Four: As a brand strategist, I typically use brand positioning as a framework for evaluating what we look at and how we look at it. I’d be interested in your thoughts about brand. Has this be a help or an obstacle to strategy development in your experience?

I’ve found that having clarity about brand is an essential part of being strategic. A clear and compelling brand is – one would hope – an intrinsic part of any company’s hoped-for future. I guess the only time it might become an obstacle would be if a company thought that brand clarity, by itself, was enough – if they didn’t pull back the camera from that to look at the other essential components of the future they want to create. Or if they weren’t willing to let the brand evolve – along with the rest of the vision – in response to changing conditions. Disney might be an example of that – I’d say they are sometimes in danger of being strategically hamstrung by an over-focus on a tightly controlled brand.

Question Five: Pitch time! There are lots of strategy books on the market. Why should people buy yours?

The main reason I wrote the book was to de-mystify the idea of being strategic; to define it simply and clearly and then to offer skills and a model for making it practical. I wanted make this powerful capability available to as many people as possible. One of our clients, Nancy Tellem, the President of CBS, has said that, “Erika is to strategy as Suze Orman is to personal finance.” I found that extraordinarily flattering, and I hope it’s true – as Suze has helped people to see that they can have control over their finances and not be intimidated by the subject, I hope to offer people the same sense of capability and clarity around being strategic; giving them the tools they need to create the businesses, the careers, or the lives they want.

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE - TRANSFORMERS USB FLASH DRIVES AND CUFF LINKS

Well those who know Geno Sims, or visit my blog should know how much of a Transformer and G.I. Joe Fan I am at heart. I have ran across two things that seem cool and pretty much collector's items.
First is a USB Flash Drive which is the Transformer Ravage. Now Ravage was originally a cassette who was a Decepticon crony who worked and served Soundwave. Ravage's cohorts were Rumble and Laserbeak.

In 2009 Ravage is in the new Transformers Movie and also makes a comeback in the market as a USB Flash Drive,
which you can purchase here.

Next up are some cool cuff links which I found. There were another set of design of these but sold out fairly quickly.

These cuff links are the Decepticon and Autobot symbols in silver and can be purchased here.

To my Transformers fan, enjoy although I am not feeling the portrayal of some robots in the movie. I hope maybe the next thing in the works is a Transformers and G.I. Joe Movie like the series the comics had years ago.

Well here is something I found on HD Luxe TV. As you know part of the G Code is to party, have fun, sip a good drink (preferably Moet Rose', Belvedere, or Hennessy) while doing G Code fun. Well my folks from Hublot know how to keep things haute on the timepiece side of things. The newest to the Big Bang collection. The Big Bang Apple, which comes either in a eighteen karat gold or blackened titanium case, has forty-eight green tsavorite baguettes around the bezel. The strap is made of apple green alligator skin on apple green rubber. The watch uses the Hub 4300 automatic chronograph movement which is visible through the back of the case.

I know my homie Lloyd Banks of G-Unit would like this watch right here! Green always been a favorite color for G, rather it's some apple Jolly Ranchers or Green and White Nike Air Force One's aka Uptown's aka the sneaker of my Boro and Town..Harlem NYC

One thing for sure, it seem like the Middle East is "Recession Proof"! I have not seen either Bugatti or Lamborghini ask for money for a bail out. Over in Kuwait someone keeps the word fast "Golden" and surely paid the costs for this need for speed. In Kuwait there is a gold Bugatti Veyron that luckily have caught glimpses by people and speeding cameras. The car does not look tacky and is treated to a $10K detail job regularly. Since this car is by all mean haute, there is no question for it to be stored in a climate-controlled garage.
Thanks goodness this is not similar to the tacky bling car like that gold Mercedes that is over Dubai.
My only question is this really gold? We all know gold is heavy, and how can you enjoy speed if it's weighed down?!

BEATS AND OBAMA

First off, once again big ups to our PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA. I know the road is rough, but end of the day it's about a plan, seeing it through one day at a time, New York nor Rome was built in a day, so let that man and his team do what we elected them to do!
Well in the this day it seems Hip Hop is synonymous with our President. I am here to share some Hip Hop and Obama with my G's!
The other night on the The Roots, did a a little set over a Obama speech on the Jimmy Fallon Show.

Also on another note I had a friend who had a friend from London who assembled a musical piece the day of the Inauguration. The music uses a composition produced by Bill Cosby. Ironically the composition produced by Cosby was created when he was distraught the day Martin Luther King was assassinated. The song was Cosby's in his own kind of way a tribute to the Late Martin Luther King. Fast forward 41 years on the day the 44Th President was inaugurated here is a another man's creative expression and tribute to Barack Obama.

What Up G's! Well, before I go into Tastemaker, Trendsetter, and Lux Seeker mode I had some words to share. From time to time I get my poetry on, on bottomline get my writing on, EXPRESSION is great and I encourage people to express themselves. I always learned expression is a form of communication, and communication is strong. Communication prevents war, prevents confusion, makes friends NOT become enemies.
I once heard a term "If you are open and share with your friends, you will never face each other as enemies, and if you remain true, communicate and know each other war will never be a factor"!

Me and My Partner, Manny will be doing a blog and eventually a book.
We will express thoughts, reflections, knowledge and good ole' make you think twice type of things on the blog...stay tuned!

THE APPLE NETBOOK - A RUMOR, MAYBE NOT PEOPLE!

Well somewhere in Korea a little birdie with the chirp span of a 3G network, let a cat out the bag. Apple hired a Taiwan based company to develop that's a slight smaller than a Macbook and a little larger than a iPhone. Hmmmmm, sound like a Netbook to me G's! Ironically Apple in the top of 2009 signed a deal with LG to manufacture LCD touch screens. The deal was for $500 Milli people, and best believe they are on the job and according to sources now manufacturing the prototypes.

Word from cat who made it out the bag states "that in testing OLED screens used on a notebook attracted "body oils and sweat" when a finger was constantly used on a screen. LG believe that by adding a layer in the manufacturing process that they can eliminate "finger marking".

Well I will keep my G's posted! I guess all those Netbook Competitors better up the ante. Steve Jobs and The Crew is on the Job and definitely stay true to the G Codes and Frank White Theory. Apple want every Nickle and Dime sold in the park! Via Smarthouse

THE RADIO FLYER CLOUD 9 - TRAIN EM' TO STUNT LIKE DADDY

Look like society doesn't give the toddlers an option of being a simple kid anymore nowadays?! It the words of Wu-Tang Clan "Can It Be It Was All So Simple Then"
Well remember the days of Big Wheels, and Radio Flyer Red Wagons? Too bad and fast forward! It's 2009, and baby momma's have self folding strollers, and seven year old kids tote cell phones!
Well my G's, there is something to add to the lux experience of childhood in 2009.
Introducing the Cloud 9 by Radio Flyer. The Cloud 9 is almost equivalent to a car on wheels, minus the gas. Outfitted with two seats (which has a 5-point safety harness, I guess wagon races can get real deal huh?) has and MP3 docking station, speakers, and a odometer just to name a few specifications. Also for those kids with the spiked sippy cups there are cup holders. The Cloud 9 will retail for $1000 and will be in production soon, according to sources.

Mark Johnson the Product development manager of Radio Flyer stated, "We approached this product much like an automotive company might with a concept car." So on that note, I wonder if there is wagon insurance or do kids have to worry about Wagon Wheel Loans in this economy?

Well since I been off the scene this is where I was here on set contributing energy. Although this isn't new its Haute, and most of all this project and deal is like a baby to me! I know it has been a minute but G, had to stay in streets, do some Ad Campaigns, and get my fitness on........But I am back or rather the right term is "Barack". Since I am "Barack" it's a celebration!

2009, and it seems like "Big Brother" devices or technologies are rapidly expanding. Well one thing that has always been around since the beginning of time is knowing where the children are located. I mean come on, even Adam and Eve was wondering where Kain and Abel were at, and as you turn into a parent those involuntary thoughts consume you everyday. Amber alerts always seem to increase by the year, with the alarming rate of disappearances or kidnappings we need to step up measures or increase tools for prevention of threat to our children. Well the people at lok8u (locate you) has made a GPS tracker designed for children. The NuM8 is a watch which doubles as a GPS tracker. The NuM8 allows the child to not know they are being monitored and enjoy having fun. The technology of the watch allows you either locate your child by either texting the locator base or via website. Also you can preset boundaries with alerts, so if you child moves past your designated circumference you are alerted asap. The watch also includes a feature that if the watch is removed or forced off you can be notified urgently! The cost of the watch is $218. There is also a monthly subscription rate for the services which can start at $10 and go to $28. The launch of this product will take place in the UK following a release in US in the Spring.

The NuM8 will be showcased at The CES Expo this weekend in Vegas.

Porsche and Nike have collaborated together to do limited edition Air Max sneakers. The Air Max are inspired by the Porsche GT3 RS.The shoes were a creative designed collaboration by Purchaze and Leyp. Originally the sneakers were presented as a gesture to staff of the Porsche store in the Netherlands. The custom Porsche Air Max comes in the same identical colors as the car, which are black, silver, green, and orange.

I think a 911 Carrera Jay-Z Blue Air Force One should be the next creation by Nike and Porsche. (REMEMBER WHO SUGGESTED THIS 1ST!)
