Oh Snap!!

2011-05-19T15:06:00.004-05:00

Some of you may know that I'm trying to put together a sewing blog. The key word here is TRYING!! I've been researching, following other blogs, trying to sew and photograph (which is another challenge all in itself). So, what better a way to learn about blogging than to attend a creative blogging and social media conference.

2011-04-11T08:02:00.004-05:00

I'm going to try really hard to keep our family blog up-to-date now.

The last time I posted was October 2009 - so let's see what all has happened since then.

2010 in a very quick nutshell:

(wow - I've missed a year and a half)

Jacob turned 4 (February)

I got a job with the State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge (August)

We moved to a house in Denham Springs, LA (August)

Addison turned 3

We bought a different house in Denham Springs and moved again (October)

Thanksgiving Dinner in LA with some PA & FL Galloways

Christmas at our new house

2011:

Jacob turned 5, soccer, & now T-ball

And now, I will start posting some pictures

Baton Rouge Zoo

2009-10-10T13:32:00.003-05:00

Lance has been working in Baton Rouge, so we drove over one Saturday for a visit.

Took a trip to their local zoo, was a little disappointed (a lot of walking with very few animals) - but we had a great time anyway.

Jacob & Lance

Addison & me

We espically liked that you could pick up some grass and the giraffes would come to the fence so we could feed them and pet them.

Addison - monkeying around

Addison - swinging like a monkey - she is so strong!!

Labor Day Weekend

2009-10-10T13:27:00.002-05:00

2009-10-10T13:02:00.002-05:00

After Addison's birthday party, cousin Sophia stayed the night and the next day we went to the New Orleans Zoo. It rained some that day so I didn't get a lot of pictures.

Baby Girl turned 2

2009-10-10T12:36:00.005-05:00

I can't believe our baby girl turned 2 (in August)

She is such a big girl now.

I didn't get a lot of good pictures from her party

Here's the star of the show in the birthday hat that I made for her.

Moving on to August

2009-10-10T12:14:00.005-05:00

From my list of items that I posted previously to get caught up on, I'm now on August -

First Five Flags speedway in Pensacola to watch some racing on asphalt.

playing with cars

Lance bought Addison her very first late model - which happened to be Bill Elliott

A few minutes later, we see Bill Elliott walk through the stands - his son was racing

Addison & I snuck up to the spotter's box and got Bill to sign her car

My camera was put away when he started walking out - here is the best picture I got.

Here is Addison the next day with her signed car!!
