Things are moving up in the world of Guild Wars 2 as the game heads for big changes. Though we focus more on guides content now but honestly this piece of news is important to talk about as the in game content and generally the guides of the game are written on the new changes that will occur within the game.

The first thing many of you would be looking forward to is the Temple of the Storm map that will be introduced for PvP purposes. “The regular eight-team/three-round paid tournaments will be replaced by two-team/single-round paid tournaments in the Temple of the Silent Storm map” and after which you will be able to play in the map as it will be added in the map rotation for players to have fun in.

Apart from guesting (which we covered last week in detail along with FAQ) you will be getting a better achievement system to let the people who have capped their levels to have something fun to do daily or weekly as the achievements would have you explore new areas or do something fun. These achievements would grant you laurels which will act like currency in purchasing some new gear and infusions. We will talk about those in detail next week so do check back.

Among other things to look forward to is the new gear that players will be able to purchase through the new laurels that have been introduced. With 5 new Utility Infusions and 30 Ascended Amulets to choose from, there’s something for every style of player. We will bring you a detailed guide on how to use your laurels effectively in due time.

Oh and for those players who love to show off, Guild Wars 2 is bringing in new cosmetics and things to purchase in the gem store. So you can simply spend some money or spend those hard earned gems for some epicly stylish gear that not many people in the game would have.

A lot many players do ask me constantly, how to improve their PvP skills especially in battlegrounds etc. Now, I have spent my share amount of time getting beaten up in battlegrounds along with owning so yes, I can give some tips on that. So here is a short guide to improve your PvP skills (this is for beginners of course).

The most important factor of PvP in World of Warcraft is to always keep your head in the game. Focus on which battleground you are in and keep the end objective in mind! It’s not about killing the other team like crazy but to achieve the objective and to win. This however doesn’t mean that you should totally ignore the enemy team and let them do whatever they want.

The next important thing to remember is to prioritize targets during a fight. You never and I repeat never start fighting with a Paladin first (unless he is a holy Paladin). Stun him and kill the healer first because after a healer dies it is easier to kill the rest. In healers always remember to go for the following order

Druid>Shaman>Priest>Paladin>Monks

The choice between Paladins and Monks is totally up to you. I rate Paladins so lowly because they have a lot of defense mechanism and would simply turn on their Divine Shield or use Lay on hands to take more damage while their dps’ers finish you off.

Next thing to remember in PvP is to go for the throat of melee dps first especially the ones that wear cloth, leather or mail. They are easier to kill and usually have a lot of AOE spells that could make the life of your team a living hell! There is always the exception of some poor dps who has come to the battleground wearing PvE gear. If that is the case, then he is easy honor. Go for his throat and don’t look back. Usually in the case of Dps’ers it is always best to go for Paladins last as again they have lot survivability and are way too overpowered! However, if there is a skilled warrior present in your enemies, my advice is to stun him and keep him that way for he can cause a lot of damage if he is a master of changing his stances during fights!

Next thing to remember while fighting is to never ever fight in open! That is never fight in between roads or near graveyards as the enemy would constantly keep getting reinforcements and it would be easier for the rest to find and hunt you down. Survivability is the major thing, for each 15 seconds you’re dead, the enemy gets one step closer to winning. Remember these general tips next time you’re fighting in a battleground and keep checking back as I’ll be uploading more comprehensive yet detailed guides about specific PvP sections in the future.

With the end of January coming, things are heating up in World of Warcraft as it is time for the annual Lunar Festival to hit the world of Azeroth. The whole festival is another excuse to get with your friends, go on fun quests, get some rare titles (for which you would have to wait another whole year) or just buy lots and lots of fireworks and go wild!

Yes, there are a lot of things that can be done in the Lunar Festival. My favorite among them is completing the 12 achievements to get the title of “The Elder” after my characters name. Honestly, that just sounds way too cool. The festival also offers daily quests which grant you special coins which you can use to purchase different apparels or other stuff (remember you would need the festival clothing for certain achievements).

You can get special items in the festival which include certain pets like Lunar Lantern (Alliance) and Festival Lantern (Horde). Seasonal recipes for Engineers, most of them however are only firework recipes but fun to get nonetheless and the festive pant suits. Well, they just look so darn cool while you’re wearing them!

So enough about that, let’s get to how you can get the title of “The Elder”. Well for that you would have to complete the following of the Lunar Festival achievements.

Elders of Cataclysm, Elders of Kalimdor, Elders of the Horde, Elders of Northrend, Lunar Festival Finery, Frenzied Firecracker, Elders of Eastern Kingdoms, Elders of the Dungeons, Elders of the Alliance, 50 Coins of Ancestry, The Rocket’s Red Glare and Elune’s Blessing. Each of these quests are easy to do and if stuck can be easily found via Carbonite or with a little help from Wowhead or Thotbot.

For those of you who are going for this achievement this year should remember that you have a limited time span to complete all these achievements so remember to give it your all because if you fail you would have to wait a whole year!

Skyrim easy leveling guide:

Like every RPG out there in the market, levels are of utmost importance even in Skyrim. No matter who you are and how you play the game, you can’t go around at lower levels hoping to slay everything in sight as your armor etc. is low along with your damage. It wasn’t long till I figured something great about the game, something which helped me increase my level along with some certain skills that later helped me raise my other skills.

Here is how I did it. If you are an archer, that’s good if not, then simply choose any weapon you want to use. Now go to an enchanting table and enchant your weapon with soul drain. Remember to put it on the 1 second Soul Tap as often the killing blow is with your weapon which often was the case especially as I loved to play the sneaky assassin.

Next step is to go on a farming trip to small caves etc to get magical weapons and ores. Get as many ores as you can and farm as much leather as you can. Now, it’s real simple. Go to any major city and start blacksmithing, raise your blacksmithing levels while enchanting the weapons/gear you make via the soul gems that are filled with souls thanks to your amazing Soul Tap ability. Now, you would be able to sell these low level weapons at a much higher price. Clean as many merchants out of their gold as you see fit and then continue.

If you want to make this cycle even more efficient, farm herbs while you are farming leather etc. You can use alchemy to make potions to increase your blacksmithing or enchanting and through enchanting you can make gloves, necklaces, rings etc. that will raise your blacksmithing, enchanting or alchemy, making it easier for you to level up even at higher levels.

You may ask, why these three professions? Well, these three professions would give you large amount of health, stamina, magika or invisibility potions. While you will have double enchants on your weapons increasing your damage output. The cream being the epic dragon scale armor you are wearing, making you one of the baddest dragonborns out there.

Remember, the game is about having fun and at any point if you think that you’re not having fun then simply leave this method and find your own way.

For all those who are wondering what the new patch of WoW: Mists of Pandaria would be like, well their wait is nearly an end as the new patch was finally made available for players who are willing to try it out on the public test server. Though the epic and much awaited Throne of Thunder is still not available for players at the moment and will be made available for a short while on the Public Test Server, it perhaps is worth the wait!

Now, apart from that we have now have a new area where players can do daily quests for reputation, gold etc. The daily quests will now be available for players to try out at The Isle of the Thunder King. Players will enroll in the effort to bring down the terror of the Thunder King but would also fight against players of opposing factions as the daily quests would be both PvE and PvP. The PvP quests would focus towards killing NPC members of the opposite factions while killing actual players would count as well.

Both the factions will be placed on opposite sides of the island and they will fight to conquer the island. As they fight, they will be able to unlock the Thunderforge! A mystical forge whose power will be harnessed by Blacksmiths to make new raid level tiers and epic, classical weapons of the past. The only downside is that the island will not be unlocked completely in a single patch but will take time to be unlocked by Blizzard.

For those of you, who are wondering what will the new daily quests be like, well they can be found in full detail at: http://ptr.wowdb.com/quests?filter-patch=16408 . So do give it a try if you are in mood for another tiresome grinding sessions as I couldn’t find a single quest apart from the PvP quests that was least bit interesting or had something new to do in it. Then again, some people enjoy that sort of thing so perhaps it would be good for them.

Right now all I am going to do is to wait for the Throne of Thunder to be unlocked and to see who’s the mystical 13^th boss you will have to face after you face the Thunder King in Heroic mode! Who do you think it would be? I mean just take a wild guess!

It’s been a while since World of Warcraft: The Wrath of Lich King was revealed but honestly it was one of my favorite expansions only because it included the addition of the Lich King, Arthas himself. I mean for all those who have ever played the Warcraft Lore, especially Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, Arthas was somewhat of the badass villain/cool guy we all loved. It wasn’t long since I was gearing up just to face the King himself and not to mention get the Kingslayer title.

The road to ICC was hard on its own but it became even harder once I got into the ICC itself. We had to face so many wipes especially on bosses like Professor Putricide, the Blood Council and of course the legendary dead zombie dragon of Arthas himself, Sindragosa! A lot of players wiped just because they didn’t listen! I know it’s very late to do this but still a huge population of people play the expansion on private servers so this guide is just a little nostalgic guide to help them kill that beast of a dragon!

The first thing to remember while encountering Sindragosa is the fact that after you kill both the pet dragons, run towards the stairs! Sindragosa comes down with a bang throwing flames! After buffing up, the tank should face the dragon in such a way that her face is away from the raid at a 90 degree angle. Never let her tail towards the raid or you will wipe!

The next thing to remember comes when Sindragosa goes into flight mode. When she flies up, two of your raid members (except the tank) will get blue marks on their heads. These two should run away from the raid while the tank should run towards the raid! The two marked people will turn into ice tombs. DPS these ice tombs to break them while the tank hides behind the tombs to avoid ice blasts from the dragon. You (i.e. the tank) should use the tombs as walls or else even the mighty tank will die in 2 hits at max.

When she comes down, then go back to the old process and kill her to complete the Frostwing halls! The tactics are simple enough only if you remember. Have fun killing the dragon and ultimately the Lich King!

Following suit of Star Wars: The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2 (somewhat), Tera has finally realized the important rule: Free is always better! Yes, coming this February, Tera is going free to play! Not only that but they are doing it in style, they are offering the free players every epic dungeon, PvP, level, BAM fights and content. No longer will you feel inferior to the people who pay. So, one may ask what’s the catch? I mean they are not running a charity, so something definitely must be wrong. So, people who pay or are willing to pay would get an elite status, a purchase that offers 30 days of extra dungeon rewards, 10 bonus daily quests, a daily delivery of items and boosts, an elite mount, in-game store discounts, reduced brokerage fees, and more. Which is somewhat similar to what League of Legends is doing as Tera will also offer unique costumes etc for your characters through the En Masse store. Everyone who is currently playing or has played Tera (i.e. purchased an account) and would get the title of “Founder” which would grant them eight character slots, four bank tabs, a “Founder” title, the exclusive Terminus mount, and more. (New players have two character slots and can get more with elite status or as an individual purchase at the En Masse store.) So Tera: Rising is going where so many games have already gone just to increase their server population. Considering the effort they do put in their game, I won’t be surprised if this gives a boost to the current population of Tera. Other contents worth talking is the new 3v3 arena style battle that will test your skills in the most brutal of manners. Apart from that, there is a new dungeon coming for those who prefer PvE battles is the Crucible of Flame, a dungeon that scores and judges you as you play. The better you perform, the greater your reward. So, get ready to hold on to your hands as Tera: Rising makes Tera Free to Play and brings good new content to you this February.

The auction house in World of Warcraft has always been a prime source of gold making for gold farmers and players alike. It’s no wonder that many money making guides tell you how to farm rare items and how to sell those items on the auction house. There has been a lot of player speculation on auction house ethics and whether they should employ many real world business strategies here or not. But honestly, the auction house is a place where every dirty trick is used to make more gold. I am going to tell you some auction house tips that will help you with your gold income. Oh and this guide will not only help in making money but will also help you SAVE gold on the auction house as well.

Now, before starting I am going to assume that all of the people who are reading this guide know how to work the auction house in general and how to make gold by other people’s misfortune/wrong clicks on the auction house. If not then briefly put, working the auction house means finding items that are being sold for lower price than the current market price, buying them out and selling them at your set price. Another method is buying out all of a specific item out of the auction house and then selling them on your own terms and prices.

Now, the problem many people face here is that they often don’t have that much free time to spend looking at page after page of the auction house. Fortunately, there are addons that can do that for you! I recommend “Auctioneer”. This addon simply scans the auction house (manually ofcourse) and brings up the cheapest items first.

Both of these sites track various items being sold on your realm (you can select your realm at the start of the site) along with market trends. They also tell you if an item is being sold for lesser price than the market price or if the seller is trying to cheat you! The Undermine Journal also links famous sellers for different items so you can contact them personally for a better deal or to see if they have more of an item they want to sale.

Honestly, the sites are pretty much self explanatory and extremely easy to use. Just use these sites to not only observe different auction house trends but also to utilize them to either save gold or to make it. There are no better auction house tips than this to be honest.

With the release of WoW: Mists of Pandaria came many changes but among the most talked about changes is the new Black Market Auction House located within the Tavern in the Mists at the Veiled Star. A lot of players have searched around for BMAH tips and tricks, so here is a short guide to help you possibly win items in the BMAH with ease.

Now, before I start explaining some basic auctioning things, here is a brief review of the BMAH for players who are new to the Mists of Pandaria. BMAH is an auction house operated by a NPC. The items on the auction house are generated randomly but they usually contain very rare items such as Rare/Epic Mounts, T3 Gear, Rare Companions and Vanity items. Like the name implies, the black market works on a high gold exchange rate. The items are randomly generated 10 at a time and only have a starting bid with no buyout price. The bids start at 10,000 gold and can go up to 999,000 g (perhaps 999,999g).

• Mounts bids start at 20,000g.
• Companions bids start at 10,000g.
• Gear items start from 10,000g.
• Vanity/misc items start between 10,000 and 15,000g.

If you are one of those who believe that they can level up their gear through this auction house, well trust me when I say this, there are better ways to do that then to spend so much gold here on uncertainty.

Now, as promised here are some BMAH tips:

• Remember this is a NPC auction house, so gold you spend here will vanish
• Do not bid early, learn the term: Sniping. It’s a simple concept, wait till the last minute to put in your bid as if you bid early you will just be raising the price of the item and nothing else.
• Don’t be stupid enough to waste heavy chunks of gold on a NPC auction house.
• Learn to not bid more than you can give, which is simple as you don’t want yourself to go in a deficit just for winning one single item
• If your realm is PvP, camp at the auction house with a few friends and kill people. Hey, it may be a dirty trick but that way you will be able to stop half of the people from outbidding you!
• If you can’t be online in the last few moments of a bid chances are that item won’t be won by you so keep that in mind!
