Well with the release date right around the corner I decided to do a quick sneak peak at some of the game play

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

Well after much thought and reading around the net I finally picked up a copy of skyrim (for PC). The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a single-player role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. It is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls RPG fantasy video game series. It was released on November 11, 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The game play itself is very fun. You start out imprisoned and long story short while your head is on the cutting block, a dragon comes and destroys the town while you make a break for it. This scene is about a 10 minute cinematic which usually would piss me off, but I enjoyed it to say the least.

The graphics are outstanding and well done. 5/5 on that.

The actual game play I give a 4/5
I started off the game as a caster wanting to set stuff a blaze and summon minions. It was fairly disappointing due to the lack of balance and buggy summoned units. I eventually swapped over to a sword wielding melee. A few reasons why I didn't give this a 5/5 were because of the following:

The map is gigantic and there are to few monsters to kill unless you enter a dungeon.
Mostly everything is done on foot unless you STEAL a horse. Due to this it takes really long to travel around ( about 15 minutes in between towns )
The autosave feature isn't set up all that well. You can run for 15 minutes, but if you die in transit you will have to make the same annoying run again.
Manual save you say? Ya you can! Hitting f5 every 3 minutes isn't annoying when you're trying to enjoy the game. Also if you save a bad spot ( this is the most awful thing about the game ) perhaps you didn't see a bear behind you ( which is a 1-2 hit kill and out runs you ) and of course the bear wants to kill you which it does 99% of the time. Good luck when you return to the game that you saved and have to get away from the bear over and over again.
No online game play. You can't even show off!

The storyline is well done and enjoyable. 5/5

And to sum it all up I leave you with an arrow to the knee.

Red Ring of Death towel trick

The Xbox 360 video game console is subject to a number of technical problems and failures that can render it unusable. Many of the issues can be identified by a series of red lights flashing on the face of the console; the three flashing red lights (nicknamed the "Red Ring of Death" or "RRoD")

The xbox lights have many different meanings. Here is a small diagram.

If you have a Xbox360 which currently is flickering 3 red lights try this

Wrap your 360 in a towel (completely covered), turned on the system for about 10 minutes or more (not too long), turned it off, then back on again and your system should worked again!

Many people tried it and it worked !

Favorite Child Hood Games

For my next post I'd like some input. Whats your favorite childhood game. If its something I liked as a kid ill write up something. I personally liked Ocarina of time and Majoras mask from the Zelda series.

Maybe this will bring back some memories.

If you collected all the masks in the game this was when your hard work paid off. I remember getting goose bumps here.

Xbox Kinect

Kinect was launched in North America on November 4, 2010. In a nutshell Kinect is Microsoft's version of the Nintendo Wii. The coolest thing about it though is your body becomes the remote. The Kinect is completly remote free. Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures, spoken commands, or presented objects and images.

Diablo III is an upcoming dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing game developed by Blizzard, making it the third installment in the

Diablo franchise. The game, which features elements of the hack and slash and "dungeon roaming" genres, was first announced on June 28, 2008, at Blizzard's World Wide Invitational in Paris, France.

I have been waiting a very long time for the release of this game. Blizzard still is not saying an exact release date but they've been releasing alot of game clips and information on stuff. Diablo II was one of my first online RPG type games and I was hooked for a very long time.

Diablo III is similar in style to its predecessor, Diablo II. The proprietary engine will incorporate Havok physics and feature destructible environments with an in-game damage effect. The developers are aiming to make the game run on a wide range of systems, and have stated thatDirectX 10 will not be required. Diablo III will use a custom 3D game engine in order to present an overhead view to the player, in a somewhat similar way to the isometric view used in previous games in the series. Enemies will utilize the 3D environment as well, in ways such as crawling up the side of a wall from the depths into the combat area.

As in Diablo II, multiplayer games will be possible using Blizzard's Battle.net service, with many of the new features developed for StarCraft II also available in Diablo III.[7] Players will be able to drop in and out of sessions of co-operative play with others.

An enhanced quest system, a random level generator, and a random encounter generator are slated for use in order to ensure the game provides different experiences when replayed. Overall, the game will include both static and randomly generated levels. Additionally, there will be class-specific quests to go along with the main storyline quests. Blizzard originally planned to have in-game cutscenes, but decided these would divert from the gameplay and decided against them. Two new armor pieces will be available: shoulder plates and leggings.

Character classes

There will be five available the Barbarian, the Witch Doctor, the Wizard, the Monk, and the Demon Hunter. The Barbarian is the only class that Blizzard is planning to bring back from Diablo II for the initial rel

ease. Blizzard has also stated that the Monk is not related in any way to the Monk class from the Sierra Entertainment-made Diablo: Hellfire expansion. The Archivist was presented on April 1, 2009 following Blizzard's April Fool's Day joke tradition.

In the previous two games each class had a fixed gender, but in Diablo III players may choose the gender they would like to play.Although Blizzard initially revealed only one gender per class, the alternate gender has been revealed slowly in the lead-up to the game's release. Currently, four of the five announced classes have had both their male and female form revealed. The fifth class was revealed at Blizzcon 2010 to be the Demon Hunter, but as of 27 October 2010 only in female form on the official website.

Artisans

Artisans are NPCs who sell, craft and enhance equipment. Three types of Artisans can be acquired by completing a quest for each: a blacksmith, a mystic, and a jeweler. Artisans create items using materials the player can gather by scrapping acquired items and reducing them to their component parts. Unlike Diablo II, rare and magic items can be enhanced, not just basic weaponry and armor. These materials are used to create items which will have random bonuses. Crafting can also be used to train and improve the skills of the artisans rather than create new items. When Artisans gain new levels, their shop reflects their higher skill level. The process of salvaging items into materials also make inventory management easier. Blizzard stated that this crafting system was designed so that it would not slow down the pace of the game.

League of Legends is a game inspired by the Defense of the Ancients map for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows. It was first announced on October 7, 2008 and released on October 27, 2009. The game was in a closed beta from April 10, 2009 to October 22, 2009. It then transitioned to open beta until release. The game is an action RTS.

If you've played DOTA or HON you will pick this game up very quickly. The game just like a lot of others is not to noobie friendly. If you play terrible or "feed" the other team you will cause a loss. So start out with the tutorial!

Before the game begins you are able to choose a 3v3 or a 5v5 game. I'm a bigger fan of the 5v5 because there is a lot more action and more people to destroy. The map is also a lot bigger and there are more NPC creatures to kill. After you select your game type you are put into a que. The que only usually lasts up to 1 minute where during this time it is matching you up against people of your own level. Once 10 or 6 are equivalently matched the game sends you to character selection. RIOT allows you I believe 7-10 Free characters a week to choose from. The characters all have there own traits ( i.e.Tank, DPS, Caster, Crowd control etc.) I enjoy the heavy dps non caster heros because it seems casters do alot of damage but they have alot less hit points starting out. Once you pick your hero you then are able to choose 2 unique spells.

Character Selection Screen (Ranked Match)

The game play is very balanced. With over 40 unique champions the game tactics change every game. The game is updated about once a week and there's a new champion introduced about once a month! Riot does a great job at fixing bugs as well. I enjoy the large amount of champion item selection. Another very cool thing they added is the talent and rune system. I think they need to be tweaked a bit but the idea is great. Each game awards an amount of points and exp which you can buy new characters or runes and it also levels your skill profile up 1-30.
