Tel-Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) August 22, 2011

Skiller, a leading provider of social mobile gaming platforms, announced today a special $ 1,000 promotion plan for every game developer, who develops a new game with Skiller SDK or integrate the Skiller SDK into his existing mobile games. The full promotion plan terms and conditions can be found in Skiller’s website.

The Skiller SDKs along with Skiller's social cloud are offered free to game developers. The Skiller social cloud abstracts a number of crucial features such as multiplayer game-play server, authentication service, messaging, monetization and analytics services, so that game developers can concentrate on developing their game logic rather than worrying about the social integration.

Skiller recently released its Java SDK, which joins its immensely popular Android SDK release, thereby enabling game developers to introduce a new social dimension in their existing and upcoming games.

Using the Skiller SDKs, game developers can provide complete inter-player interaction using a large variety of social features such as on-line multiplayer capabilities, comprehensive messaging system, leader-boards, personal profile, avatars and more.

The Skiller SDK integration is easy to implement and creates more traction and leads to longer game retention.

"By joining the special promotion plan game developers can start earning today!" said Nir Orpaz, Skiller's CEO. "Since the Skiller solution is platform agnostic which is compatible to most mobile device variations, we introduce our virtual currency system and our advanced monetization methods to as many developers as possible. This will allow game developers to sell game related virtual goods and make more money from their games, while enriching their game's social environment"

The Skiller platform currently hosts millions of games sessions each month, with players from more than 200 countries. Skiller users have experienced a truly social gaming experience over several mobile platforms, including J2ME, Android and Blackberry phones (WP7 and iPhone are coming soon).

(PRWEB) August 02, 2011

Stuntbird Games is proud to announce the release of Pixaquarium Game Maker, a Facebook-based game builder and player designed especially for kids.

Pixaquarium enables gamers to design nearly every aspect of the game’s artwork, from the backgrounds to character’s face to the shape of the bad guys. Players can then save their unique set up and share it with their Facebook friends.

“I was inspired to create Pixaquarium while designing Jounce,” explains Stuntbird Games President Dean Ruggles. “My oldest daughter was bringing me drawings to put into that game. I realized that a game that was as much about creativity as play could be fun. I thought of it as active entertainment, which is new in the game world, in that Pixaquarium is all about being artistic and inventing a new world to play in.”

Development of a Pixaquarium app for play on mobile devices and tabloids is currently in beta testing.

Seoul, South Korea (PRWEB) August 22, 2011

GMO Internet Group company, GMO GameCenter, today announces that it has partnered with LG Uplus to launch the mobile telecommunications carrier’s smartphone game platform GameBox by G-Gee.

The partnership with LG Uplus gives GMO GameCenter the opportunity to expand G-Gee into the Korean market and grow its global user base.

GMO GameCenter first launched its Android game platform, G-Gee in Japan last year featuring a mix of world renowned game titles and original content from independent developers. Since then the company has established subsidiaries in the US and Korea and G-Gee now distributes over 160 games.

LG Uplus launched GameBox by G-Gee on August 11, delivering G-Gee content to smartphone users in the Korean market. The new game platform is the first of its kind to be offered by a mobile operator in Korea. GameBox by G-Gee offers a selection of content previously only available on iPhone, popular Android titles from other countries, and games debuting in Korea for the first time. GameBox by G-Gee currently features 30 game titles and is expected to offer a total of 200 games by the beginning of 2012. Social networking features also allow users to chat with other players and participate in social-based games.

“Partnering with GMO GameCenter Korea is significant to us because the launch of GameBox by G-Gee enables LG Uplus to become the first telecommunications carrier in Korea to provide a game distribution service, says Jung Woon Choi, Deputy General Manager of LG Uplus. “With the upcoming LTE (4G) network rollout we see the potential for game distribution to become a core business and we look forward to GameBox by G-Gee playing a pivotal role. Going forward we will work closely with GMO GameCenter Korea to become the number one game platform in the Korean smartphone market.“

GMO GameCenter believes this latest partnership is the result of its proven record providing a rich user experience and full developer support.

Provo, UT (PRWEB) December 11, 2005

Today Game Tunnel (http://www.gametunnel.com) kicked off its Fourth Annual Independent Game of the Year awards with the awarding of the Independent Sports Game of the Year. Each year Game Tunnel has awarded its Independent Game of the Year awards to innovative but mostly unknown video games created by Independent Developers.

As in years past, this year's awards will be handed out all month long with a different award every two-three days. The awards are handed out both in different genres such as Strategy and Sports, as well as different categories such as Innovation and Sound. The schedule for all awards can be found on the home page of the Game Tunnel website.

The awards culminate with a Top 10 list of the best Independent Video Games of the year and the awarding of the prestigious Game of the Year award.

This year's awards promise to be the most interesting ever as the innovation that is commonly associated with Independent Games leads to games that are very different and distinctive, providing an alternative to the mainstream gaming world that been increasingly stuck in a rut of games that lack imagination and creativity.

About Independent Games

Many independent games have found their way into the everyday lifestyle of gamers around the world without them even realizing what they are playing. While the moniker of a developer creating games out of their parent's garage still has validity, new computer tools have made the costs associated with creating games much lower and have made it possible for independent game developer studios to bring their own game ideas to the public.

These developers have created many of the most innovative games available for the mainstream gaming market over the last few years, doing so on very limited budgets and releasing the titles on their own without the help of major publishers.

Though most Independent developers pride themselves on creating new and innovative titles Independent games are not limited to the 'mainstream' market, but also cross-over into the rapidly growing 'casual' marketplace. In fact, the vast majority of the puzzle games commonly available throughout the internet are created by independent developers. Most all of the games available through sites such as Real Arcade (http://www.realarcade.com/), and MSN Games (http://zone.msn.com) are in actually Independent Games. However the casual games created by independent developers only highlight a small portion of the independent gaming world.

About Game Tunnel

Game Tunnel was created in 2002 with the goal of providing news and reviews about the Independent Gaming scene. Game Tunnel focuses on providing information about the less casual side of Independent Gaming while also covering the majority of the casual games released. Since its launch Game Tunnel has done over 250 full-length reviews of Independent (or Indie/Indy as they are commonly known) Game titles. In addition Game Tunnel has published a variety of independent game-related features including previews, developer Q&As, multiple column offerings and monthly features, nearly 1000 news stories, and the very popular yearly Independent Game of the Year awards.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 02, 2011

Game Tunnel (http://www.gametunnel.com) returns with new content, new features, and a new look. Game Tunnel was actually one of the first independent game review sites founded back in 2003. The site fell on hard times in 2009/2010, but now it’s back, redesigned and better than ever. Game Tunnel is no longer just a monthly indie game review site. GT strives to be an independent gaming hub that users can visit every day to discover a new indie game.

Game Tunnel was purchased by the Indie Game Magazine back in March of 2011. IGM headed up a Kickstarter campaign and raised over $ 3500 to redesign, market and relaunch GameTunnel.com. After months of work and a tremendous showing of support, GT is back and better than ever.

Mike Gnade, founder of IGM, says, “Game Tunnel has always been very personal to me since it helped me discover indie games back in 2005. I loved Game Tunnel’s monthly reviews and would check the site every month to see what games were featured at the top. I am thrilled to be involved in the new site’s triumphant return!”

The new GT is built to be a HUB for indie gamers and developers. The site is part review site, part indie game database with a dash of news and deals. The site is designed for gamers to discover a new great indie game every day. GT’s new rating system allows the best games to float to the top. The site was also redesigned to be an excellent FREE resource for indie game developers. Indie Game Developers can submit their game for review, add their game to the website, and they can even sell their game.

Registration for gamers and game developers is completely free at http://www.gametunnel.com. You can support Game Tunnel by purchasing games via our website or by advertising on the website.

ABOUT GAME TUNNEL:

Game Tunnel (http://www.gametunnel.com) is the web’s home for independent video games. Game Tunnel was one of the first sites to provide news, reviews, previews and coverage of indie video games when it was founded back in 2002. It returns as a virtual tunnel to the independent underground. Intended for game lovers of all ages, Game Tunnel gives readers information about truly amazing and distinctive games you won’t find anywhere else and offers independent game developers great marketing and advertising tools for their games.

ABOUT IGM:

Indie Game Magazine (http://www.indiegamemag.com) is the premier source of news and culture for the independent gaming. Started in October 2008 and published bi-monthly by Mike Gnade, IGM has matured into a definitive voice for the indie gaming scene. Combining no-nonsense reviews, in-depth reviews and long-form features with the leading lights of the industry, the magazine, like the games it covers, is independently owned and fiercely independent as it strives to highlight the artists and community behind what it deems the most creative branch of the video gaming universe.
