Yesterday, I reported that in a SHOCKING DEPOSITION, celebrity chef and television personality, Paula Deen ADMITTED to using the 'N' word AND also admitted to engaging in RACIST-LIKE repartee....but only in the context of 'JOKING' or if she is ANGRY!?

WTF??

But she still says she is NOT, RACIST!!

Paula's rep issued the following statement:

"Ms. Deen does not condone or find the use of racial epithets acceptable. She is looking forward to her day in court.”

When Paula Deen was asked, under oath, if she has ever used the N-word -- she responded, "Yes, of course". This was captured on TAPE so there is no REFUTING that!

Deen was being deposed in connection with a pending sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee who claims she was subjected to a barrage of racist, sexist and generally inappropriate comments while she worked at Paula's Oyster House restaurant in Georgia.

Here is an EXCERPT from the jaw-dropping deposition:

Lawyer: Okay. In what context?
Paula: Well, it was probably when a black man burst into the bank that I was working at and put a gun to my head.

Paula: Well, I don't remember, but the gun was dancing all around my temple ... I didn't -- I didn't feel real favorable towards him.

Lawyer: Okay. Well, did you use the N-word to him as he pointed a gun in your head at your face?
Paula: Absolutely not.

Lawyer: Well, then, when did you use it?
Paula: Probably in telling my husband.

Lawyer: Okay. Have you used it since then?
Paula: I'm sure I have, but it's been a very long time.

Lawyer: Can you remember the context in which you have used the N-word?
Paula: No.

Lawyer: Has it occurred with sufficient frequency that you cannot recall all of the various context in which you've used it?
Paula: No, no.

Lawyer: Well, then tell me the other context in which you've used the N-word?
Paula: I don't know, maybe in repeating something that was said to me.

Lawyer: Like a joke?
Paula: No, probably a conversation between blacks. I don't -- I don't know. But that's just not a word that we use as time has gone on. Things have changed since the '60s in the south. And my children and my brother object to that word being used in any cruel or mean behavior. As well as I do.

James Gandolfini -- who famously played Tony Soprano on "The Sopranos" -- died earlier today in Italy ... TMZ has learned.

Gandolfini is believed to have suffered a MASSIVE heart attack. He was 51.

Gandolfini was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily -- and he was scheduled to participate in a festival event this weekend with Italian director Gabriele Muccino.

“Everyone is in tears,” the source close to the 51-year-old TV tough guy said.
A press-shy celeb who got his start as a character actor and became famous relatively late in his career — thanks to his breakout role on “The Sopranos,” Gandolfini has largely avoided the spotlight since the last season of the beloved show aired in 2007.

The burly Westwood, N.J. native has appeared in several supporting roles since then, playing the director of the CIA in “Zero Dark Thirty” and the gruff blue-collar father of a wannabe rock star in “Not Fade Away” last year.

Stopping into STARBUCKS daily maybe a part of your everyday MEANDERINGS, right? Have you ever stopped to THINK just how many CALORIES you are consuming even before you get to the BREAKROOM in you office to find that sweet Martha from accounting baked a bundt cake for the office? (That was a LONG A$$ sentence, I know).

My little brother used to manage a Starbucks and he clued me in on some the offerings that you we CRAVE DAILY or CHUCK full of EMPTY CALORIES! And the BAKED GOODS are CALORIE-FILLED too!

Well starting next week, you will be able to see just HOW MANY calories your fave bevefrage or scone actually contains! It may make you want to DOWNSIZE.... Get the DETAILS after the JUMP!!

The multibillion-dollar coffeehouse chain just announced that it will add calorie counts to menus, staying a step ahead of the FDA.

This morning, Starbucks announced that starting next Tuesday it will post the calorie content of all its coffee drinks and food items in all its company-owned stores in the U.S.

This is big news, and overdue. The FDA was supposed to release national rules for the national labeling required of all restaurants with at least 20 locations -- one of the best, if least-noticed, parts of the Affordable Care Act. Years later, food-industry skirmishes and rumored cold feet by the White House Office of Management and Budget are still holding up those rules, as Marion Nestle recently documented.

But even after the rules come out, which the FDA says now will be by the end of this year, there'll be at least another year to wait for them to be implemented.

In the meantime, initial studies of the effects of menu labeling on behavior and weight reduction produced mixed results, to the delight of the food industry.

So does looking at the calories next to your favorite food item deter you from getting it? In most cases NO. The nody wants what it wants, even if it means a FATTER America.

Right now fast-food restaurants aren't MANDATED to disclose their calories on the menu, but it's coming down the pipeline. Other fast-food GIANTS have already started doing so, like McDonald's and Panera Bread.

So next time you are in Starbucks, you may want that GRANDE FRAP to be a VENTI to watch that GUT!!

The take home message here is that THE FDA needs to push forward in making calorie listings MANDATED, not just a choice of the retailer.

Celebrity chef Paula Deen has admitted to using the N-word and telling insensitive racial jokes during a May 17 deposition that was videotaped — and also confessed to her brother’s cocaine, pornography and alcohol addictions!

Paula, 66, admitted to using the N-word and wanting black waiters to play the role of slaves at a wedding party she was putting together, a new bombshell report from the National Enquirer claims.

“The personal disclosures uncovered have stunned Paula’s family and could mark the collapse of her entire empire,” a source told the tabloid.

The Emmy-winning kitchen queen was questioned for three hours because of the $1.2 million 2012 lawsuit in which the former General Manager of their Savannah, Georgia, restaurant, Lisa Jackson, claimed use of the N-word by Paula and sexual harassment and infliction of distress and assault by her brother Bubba Hiers.

When asked by Lisa’s Atlanta-based attorney if she’d ever used the N-word, Paula responded, “Yes, of course,” and gave examples of times she used the offensive term.

In terms of telling racist jokes, Paula said, “It’s just what they are — they’re jokes…most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks…I can’t determine what offends another person.”

And when asked if she wanted black men to play the role of slaves at a wedding she explained she got the idea from a restaurant her husband and her had dined at saying, “The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie.

“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America…after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it was black women…I would say they were slaves.”

During the deposition, Bubba also made shocking admissions, including using the N-word in reference to President Barack Obama.

“While Paula and Bubba did make some pretty damaging confessions in their depositions, what they admitted to only scratches the surface of what actually goes on in their daily lives,” an insider told the Enquirer.

In his GQ magazine interview, Drake finally addresses the FEUD:

Drake also says he feels the attention their 'Beef' distracts from their crafts. Drake goes on to say:

"He’s made me the enemy, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay, I guess."

"If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly.”

Let's hope it doesn't go that route. After some time has passed, I wonder how Chris feels about the feud NOW. He HAS said in many an interview that he doesn't see the FEUD getting any better.
