I'm usually too proud to use GPS's but I realized that not only have Google Maps and other sites have gotten me lost countless amount of times, if I travel as often as I do, I should get one.
After getting one, it's made my life so much easier.
It's very easy to use for starters. I was able to enter my favorite locations and landmarks very easily. It found restaurants and places to check out very well. It picked up satellites very quickly, although indoors and cloudy days it's a bit slower. The MP3 player is nice but I don't foresee really using it. Bluetooth is a godsend. While I already have a headset, having the GPS able to use it is awesome as well, especially when it's hooked into my AUX port on my head unit. The mic picks up remarkably well, although the reception occasionally pops in and out. The only annoyance are speakers are a bit too quiet especially over the road noise. The voice prompts are very versatile and text-to-speech has worked great.
The only down sides I have is the design is a little old and boxy (but it's a GPS, who cares?), takes a while to start up, sometimes the screen doesn't detect my touches if I touch it too quickly, and again the sore lack in manuals (but it's VERY easy to figure out yourself).
Overall, the features on this model far outweigh any reason to get one of the Nuvi 2xx or even some of the 7xx series, plus the price can't be beat. It even comes with a carrying case AND an AC adaptor.
The only thing left I have to do with this is take it out of the country, and when I do, I'll be sure to update this review with how well it works.
If you're on the fence about it as much as I was, this was a great investment and you can't go wrong with this. If you're looking for a solid GPS without breaking the bank or needing the absolutely newest things, you'll be happy with this one, for sure.
