Pastor Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, North Carolina  is demanding that Congress build concentration camps to hold Gays and Lesbians until they die. Speaking on Marriage Equality and the right of Gay and Lesbian Americans to exist in the United States the pastor told the baptist congregation of his final solution to the homosexual problem in this country.

I figured a way out to get rid of all of them, the lesbians and queers, but I couldn’t get it passed the congress. Build a great big large fence 150 to a 100 miles long and put all the lesbians in there…do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals. Have that fence electrified so they can’t get out. And you know what, in a few years they’ll die off cause they can’t reproduce!

According to most christians one of the central tenets of their faith is that Gays and Lesbians should be put to death for loving someone of the same gender. Christian leadership claims that being Gay or Lesbian is a sinful and unnatural lifestyle choice that should be punished with forfeiture of life. Of course if it was that simple the christian church would have eliminated all Gays and Lesbians centuries ago.

This central concept of the christian faith stands in direct opposition to the overwhelming modern scientific evidence which clearly shows both homosexuality and heterosexuality as normal, natural and unchangeable sexual orientations.  Both are necessary elements critical to human evolution.

The same United States Constitution that allows Pastor Worley of the Providence Road Baptist Church to call for genocide against Gay and Lesbian Americans gives Gay and Lesbian Americans the right to own a gun and protect their family.  Do not go quietly to the Compassionate Christian Concentration Camps.

The christian church has upped the ante in its war to exterminate Gay and Lesbian Americans.

Senior pastor Sean Harris of the Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina has urged his christian congregation to violently beat any children they perceive as Gay or Lesbian. Pastor Harris even went so far as granting a special dispensation to his christian membership if they beat a Gay or Lesbian child.

Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. And when your daughter starts acting too butch, you reign [sic] her in. And you say, ‘Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.’”

Even more terrifying is that the Berean Baptist Church sits next to the Montclair Elementary School. Seeing that pastor Sean Harris directly threatened school age children with violence and encouraged his congregation to physically abuse young Gays and Lesbians special precautions must be taken to ensure the safety of the students.

1. The court must issue a restraining order forbidding pastor Sean Harris or any member of the Berean Baptist Church from entering the school grounds or approaching the children.

2. Montclair Elementary School must add extra security to protect the children from pastor Sean Harris or any member of the Berean Baptist Church.

3. Teachers and administrators at the Montclair Elementary School should be advised to closely monitor any children whose parents attend the Berean Baptist Church for signs of physical abuse.

4. Background checks must be executed on the teachers and administrators at Montclair Elementary School to remove any member of the Berean Baptist Church from positions which interact with children.

5. A notice must be sent to the parents of all students attending Montclair Elementary School urging caution when picking up or dropping off their children.

Ex-Gay Minister Molests Boys

Youth pastor, Brent Girouex, of the Victory Fellowship Church in Council Bluffs Iowa has been arrested for molesting at least 8 men aged 14 to 23 while trying to cure them of their same sex sexual attractions.

A former youth pastor arrested in Iowa on 60 counts of suspicion of sexual exploitation allegedly told teenage boys he was trying to help them gain “sexual purity in the eyes of God.”

Thirty-one-year-old Brent Girouex, a former youth pastor at Victory Fellowship Church in Council Bluffs, turned himself in to the police in February after four young men came forward with allegations against him, The Daily Nonpareil reported.

Girouex has been released on a $30,000 bond and is due back in court on April 21. If found guilty, he faces up to five years on each charge.

Court documents show Girouex told investigators he had sexual contact with a teenage boy 25 to 50 times over a four-year period, starting when the boy was 14-years-old. He allegedly told investigators that it was his duty as a youth pastor “to help [the teen] with homosexual urges by praying while he had sexual contact with him.”

The ex-Gay movement has destroyed the lives of these young men. If their pastor would have told them the truth, that sexual orientation can not be changed, they would have lived happy productive lives. Now they are forever sexually scarred by an ex-Gay christian ministry and the pastor who could not himself change his sexual orientation.

How many children have been raped by these Exodus International inspired christian pastors. You cannot pray the Gay away.

Every accredited medical, psychological and scientific institution in the United States agrees that homosexuality and heterosexuality are both normal, natural and unchangeable sexual orientations.

Forcing children into the dangerous world of the ex-Gay reparative therapy ministry can result in your child being raped.

There has been one unbiased, scientific peer reviewed study on the success rate of reparative therapy.

Ariel Shidlo and Michael Schroeder found in “Changing Sexual Orientation: A Consumer’s Report”, a peer-reviewed study published in 2002, that 88% of participants failed to achieve a sustained change in their sexual behavior and 3% reported changing their orientation to heterosexual.

The remainder reported either losing all sexual drive or attempting to remain celibate, with no change in attraction. Some of the participants who failed felt a sense of shame and had gone through conversion therapy programs for many years. Others who failed believed that therapy was worthwhile and valuable.

Shidlo and Schroeder also reported that many respondents were harmed by the attempt to change. Of the 8 respondents (out of a sample of 202) who reported a change in sexual orientation, 7 worked as ex-gay counselors or group leaders.

In other words the only people claiming that reparative therapy works are the people making money off the ex-Gay movement. Do not trust your children to these men of religion claiming to cure the homosexual. More often than not they are simply using their position to molest the children brought to them for help.

Gays and Lesbians must protest the christian churches working against Marriage Equality

The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision affirming the rights of the Westboro Baptist Church and their 40,000 christian followers to protest at funerals of fallen American hero’s and target Gays and Lesbians with emotional violence has a silver lining for our community. The ruling also applies to us.

The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a grieving father’s pain over jeering protests at his Marine son’s funeral must yield to First Amendment protections for free speech. All but one justice sided with a fundamentalist church that has stirred outrage with raucous demonstrations contending God is punishing the military for the nation’s tolerance of homosexuality.

The 8-1 decision in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., was the latest in a line of court rulings that, as Chief Justice John Roberts said in his opinion for the court, protects “even hurtful speech on public issues to ensure that we do not stifle public debate.”

The decision ended a lawsuit by Albert Snyder, who sued church members for the emotional pain they caused by showing up at his son Matthew’s funeral. As they have at hundreds of other funerals, the Westboro members held signs with provocative messages, including “Thank God for dead soldiers,” “You’re Going to Hell,” “God Hates the USA/Thank God for 9/11,” and one that combined the U.S. Marine Corps motto, Semper Fi, with a slur against gay men.

Westboro Baptist  is a christian church based out of America’s bible belt in Topeka, Kansas. Pastor Fred Phelps and his outreach ministries preach the gospel of Christ often employing controversial street ministering to take the word of god to the American public. Pastor Phelps and his christian follower often hold signs claiming “God Hates Fags”, “Fags Must Die”, “AIDS Cures Fags” and other bible based messages.

The Westboro Baptist Christian Ministry claims a congregation of over 40,000 followers across the United States. Westboro is far from a fringe group with numbers rivaling even the mega-churches of Pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church, Pastor Rick Warrens’ Saddleback Valley Community Church and even Pastor John Hagee’s Cornerstone Church.

All the pastors listed above preach against the evils of homosexuality to their congregants and actively work against Marriage Equality.

Christian ministers around the country are telling their congregations to arm themselves and prepare for civil war over Gay and Lesbian equality. Many pastors are encouraging their christian followers to directly confront the “evil homosexual” even telling them to call us “faggots” to discourage Gays and Lesbians from coming out.

It is time we take our equality fight to the very churches promoting violence against us. Gay and Lesbian Americans must start protesting every Sunday morning in front of the christian churches preaching discrimination and lobbying against Marriage Equality.

Christian churches are no longer off limits to the “angry faggots pushing an agenda”. If the message “God Hates Fags” is coming from the christian church then that is where we must confront it.  Remember the U.S. Supreme Court has just ruled that we have a right to do so.

Until christians start taking responsibility for the evil being done in the name of their religion all churches are equally to blame for the discrimination, violence and death inflicted on Gay and Lesbian Americans.

On the night of September 4th 2010 a homophobic christian neighbor burned Carol Ann and Laura Stutte’s dream home to the ground. After five months the Tennessee officials investigating the arson have yet to charge anyone and the American National Property and Casualty Insurance company is refusing to pay on the couples claim until the investigation is complete.

Returning from Nashville where Carol Ann and Laura celebrated their anniversary they found a pile of rubble where their dream home once stood.

Despite numerous police reports documenting a neighbor that had threatened to burn down their home and who repeatedly told them the “…only thing better than one dead queer was two dead queers…” no arrests have been made.

The Stutte home had no gas service and was all electric. Even with witness reports of two explosions and a fireball that could be seen above the treeline, that all waterhoses on the property had been cut and that “QUEER” had been painted on their garage the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Bureau of

Investigation and FBI have yet to rule the fire as an arson.

What is even more disturbing is that the Stutte’s insurance company, American National Property and Casualty has yet to pay a dime to the Stutte family even though they had purchased coverage to provide them habitation and living expenses in the case of such a loss.

It is not surprising that the Tennessee officials are dragging their feet on the investigation. Tennessee does not include Gays and Lesbians in their states hate crimes statutes and has recently introduced legislation that would imprison teachers for discussing homosexuality in schools.

Even more disturbing is the institutionalized homophobia of the insurance industry. Like many homeowners, the Stutte’s had opted for additional coverage in case of total loss.  This additional coverage would provide for housing as well as living expenses until the claim was settled. Five months later American National Property and Causality has not paid a single penny on the claim.

If a straight African American couple had their home burned by the christian klan an insurance agent would be at the door with a check the next day. If a straight Jewish couple were burned out by a local group of Neo-Nazi’s they would have already rebuilt.

The hate filled attitude of “we don’t want no faggots in our neighborhood” is spreading as our community scores civil rights victories. Recently there has been a rash of arson attacks and increased violence against Gays and Lesbians in America as christian churches ramp up the anti-Gay hate rhetoric.  Some christian ministers have gone so far as to call for a civil war to keep the “dirty homo” in his place.

Gays and Lesbians have the same right to the American Dream as anyone else.  Watch the video and tell me what you would do if this were your home.

When they come to burn your family out of the neighborhood will you be ready? Nothing stops a crazed christian arsonist faster than a bullet to the head. Arm yourself and protect your family.

Civil Unions Pass In Hawaii

In 1998 Hawaii adopted the nations first discriminatory marriage amendment stating that marriage can only be recognized between one man and one woman. Hawaii’s amendment launched christian conservatives in states around the country into an orgy of self indulgent bigotry where “traditional marriage” had to be protected from the evil homosexual.

Today Hawaii helped erase some of that hate and bigotry by enacting civil unions for Gays and Lesbians in the state. The passage of this legislation grants same-sex couples the same rights and responsibilities as “traditionally married” couples.

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has signed same-sex civil unions into law, granting gay and lesbian couples the same state rights as married partners.

Civil unions in the Rainbow State would start Jan. 1, 2012, making Hawaii the seventh state to permit civil unions or similar legal recognitions for gay couples. Five other states and the District of Columbia allow same-sex marriage.

The new law comes after 20 years of court fights, protest rallies and passionate public debate in a state that has long been a gay rights battleground.

The passage of the civil unions bill does not remove the discriminatory 1998 marriage amendment but does go a long way to helping Gay and Lesbian families realize the protections that “traditionally married” couples take for granted.

Gay Montanans Need To Protect Themselves

The Montana House overwhelmingly passed a bill that would strip discrimination protects from Gays and Lesbians in the state and bar city governments from offering those protections in the future. HB 516, authored by christian representative Kristin Hansen, easily passed 60-39. It prohibits Gays and Lesbians from seeking protections from their local governments and elected officials.

Hansen said HB 516 would prohibit local governments from enacting ordinances or policies that seek to protect residents from real or perceived discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender as Missoula did through an ordinance and Bozeman through a policy.

Bennett, however, told how Missoula’s enactment of the ordinance gave LGBT residents of Missoula hope that is now being dashed.

“It gave those young (LGBT) people who had been beaten up, yelled at and discriminated against day in and day out the dimmest light of hope that maybe someday they might be equal to other Montanans, maybe someday,” he said. “But this bill looks to extinguish that dim light of hope and eliminate an existing right for LGBT Missoulians.”

This law is nearly identical to Colorado’s Amendment 2 which was passed in 1992 after intense lobbying from Focus on the Family and other christian groups in the state. It was ruled unconstitutional by the United States Supreme Court in 1996 in the landmark Romer v. Evans decision. The justices ruled that the majority cannot deny equal protections and access to the minority based on nothing more than a dislike of the minority.

HB 516 will of course be ruled unconstitutional but not before many Gays and Lesbians are forced out of their jobs and homes. Laws that purposely discrimination against the Gays and Lesbians encourage violence against our community.

If you are a Gay or Lesbian living in Montana buy and gun and understand your legal rights to defend yourself with lethal force.  In Montana “the lawful use of firearms for self-defense is not a crime or an offense against the people of the state”. Ryan & Tony enjoy many white water canoe trips in a new book that claims Gays can be cured through prayer.

Where Is Your Brother, a new christain novel by Canadian author Marion Heath, claims homosexuality can be cured through prayer and the power of Jesus. The story follows the adventures of Ryan, who leaves his screeching wife and two children for the arms of his true love Tony. But of course Ryan’s newly found blissful life is uprooted by Jesus, who intervenes and ruins it for the happy couple. Ryan is returned to his “straight” ways through the power of prayer.

According to the book jacket the story is a work of fiction not based on any studies or actual “repaired” homosexuals.

Although this book is fictional, many readers will have a strong feeling that it is based on a true story.

The simple reason that the book doesn’t use an actual “ex-Gay” is because they don’t exist. Reparative therapy was concocted by christian leadership to counter the American Psychological Associations removal of homosexuality as a mental disease. Focus on the Family was a driving force behind the reparative therapy movement and has made hundreds of millions of dollars promoting this cure as they demonize Gays and Lesbians.

Joseph Nicolosi’s Reparative Therapy of Male Homosexuality, published in 1991, introduced reparative therapy as a term for psychotherapeutic attempts to convert gay people to heterosexuality.

Nicolosi promotes psychoanalytic theories suggesting that homosexuality is a form of arrested psychosexual development, resulting from “an incomplete bond and resultant identification with the same-sex parent, which is then symbolically repaired in psychotherapy”. Nicolosi’s intervention plans involve conditioning a man to a traditional masculine gender role through prayer and counseling.

Nicolosi is a founding member of the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), and was for some time its president. NARTH is a pseudo science christian ministry created to institutionalize discrimination and violence against Gays and Lesbians by promoting the false claim that sexual orientation is a dangerous lifestyle choice that can be changed.

NARTH was recently rocked by scandal when Dr. George Rekers, a founding member and cured homosexual, was caught returning from a 10 day European vacation with a well endowed “rentboy”. The hung male hooker was paid to provide “services” to Rekers during his family free romp through the old country.

The scandal pretty well ended any speculation that reparative therapy works.

Every accredited psychological institution in the United States condones reparative therapy as dangerous and ineffective.  Homosexuality is a normal, natural and unchangeable sexual orientation, any attempt to change it can result in severe psychological damage to the patient. The American Psychiatric Association issues the following statement about reparative therapy.

“For over three decades the consensus of the mental health community has been that homosexuality is not an illness and therefore not in need of a cure,” the statement said.

“The APA’s concern about the positions espoused by NARTH and so-called conversion therapy is that they are not supported by the science. There is simply no sufficiently scientifically sound evidence that sexual orientation can be changed. Our further concern is that the positions espoused by NARTH and Focus on the Family create an environment in which prejudice and discrimination can flourish.”

All major national mental health organizations have officially expressed concerns about therapies promoted to modify sexual orientation. To date, there has been no scientifically adequate research to show that therapy aimed at changing sexual orientation (sometimes called reparative or conversion therapy) is safe or effective. Furthermore, it seems likely that the promotion of change therapies reinforces stereotypes and contributes to a negative climate for lesbian, gay, and bisexual persons.

You cannot pray the Gay away. Sexual orientation cannot be changed and reparative therapy does not work. For those interested, here is the treatment plan designed by Nicolosi to turn the homosexual into a god fearing heterosexual.

(1) Participate in sports activities

(2) Avoid activities considered of interest to homosexuals, such as art museums, opera, symphonies

(3) Avoid women unless it is for romantic contact

(4) Increase time spent with heterosexual men in order to learn to mimic heterosexual male ways of walking, talking, and interacting with other heterosexual men

(5) Attend church and join a male only church group

(6) Attend reparative therapy group to discuss progress, or slips back into homosexuality

(7) Become more assertive with women through flirting and dating

(8) Begin heterosexual dating

(9) Engage in heterosexual intercourse

(10) Enter into heterosexual marriage

(11) Father children

Well after reading that I am truly surprised that reparative therapy doesn’t work more often!
