I know you were in a panic..but it's OK! I'm alive and well. I've just been really, really , really lazy......and well with the holidays, it was a bit hectic. I am thinking things are going to be calming down a lot now though, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Since the last time I blogged, we have gotten a ton of snow! The kids are loving it. They love getting all bundled up and going out there in the freezing cold....crazy little munchkins! I think it actually takes them longer to get ready, then they actually stay out there..lol! They also love the hot cocoa that they get when they come in. Can't blame them there...I live off that stuff in the winter...lol! It's so good!!

Anyways, I'm hoping that since things are settling down and the holidays are almost over....I'll start posting again regularly. Don't hold your breath or anything though...lol! Naw! I'm gonna try to post at least once a week... I think. So stay tuned....

Don't bother coming back another day! I think its rained every day this week, and I'm really getting sick of it. How am I supposed to make the hubby rake leaves if they're all wet and soggy? Hopefully it will be dry for a couple days in the near future, so I can crack my whip and get him moving..LOL! I'm sure I'll pay for that comment later if he reads it..lol!

I'm also hoping it dries up by the weekend for Halloween. It could warm up a little too, but that might be asking a little too much. So I'll just be happy with it being dry.

We carved pumpkins a couple nights ago...I think everyone had fun. I ended up doing a moon and a couple bats. I went for something a little simple this year...I think it looks pretty good though still. Kaitlin had a lot of fun. At first, she didn't want anything to do with the pumpkin gut removal, but by the end she was all over it...lol! She was scooping like a pro...if there was such a thing..LOL! I'll post pics of all our Halloween activities after Halloween is over and I get pics of the kids dressed in their costumes. So look for those sometime this weekend.....

That's if I don't melt from all the rain......cause you know I would melt...cause I'm pure sugar..hahahahaha....................yeah right...

Did I scare you? lol! Well, Halloween is around the corner! I'm so excited, its probably my favorite holiday. I love the decorations, the costumes, trick or treating, the CANDY...LOL! It's all fun. Oh and the pumpkin carving! I love carving pumpkins. I usually try to do something a little creative with mine. I've done skeletons, Frankenstein, cats...all sorts of stuff. I love watching my daughter do her pumpkin, she sits down for quite a while just thinking about what she's going to do, takes a while to draw it on...and it's usually only the typical Jack o'lantern face...its too cute..lol!

This year Kaitlin is going as a princess again. She even wants to wear her costume from last year, which is fine with me...less money I have to spend..lol! I'm not sure what Cameron is going as yet. I'm thinking maybe a puppy since he is very into puppies right now... he loves dogs...well animals period. He's my little animal lover. He spends hours playing with our dog...they are inseparable.

Tomorrow I'm going to clean the house and then when dd gets home from school, we'll decorate! First we are stopping by the store to pick up pumpkins though. She's excited about that..lol! Tomorrow should be a fun day...for both of us..lol!

Aren't they cool? I made these for my daughter to take to school for her birthday. I knew I wanted to make cupcakes, but I also knew I wanted to jazz them up a little bit. So I googled cupcakes and happened to find these. It's really easy to do.

You just make the cake mix like usual. Divide the batter by however many colors you are going to use. I did 4 colors and it was a little over a cup for each color. Then you add your food coloring. You have to use gel food coloring though.....to get the vibrant colors. Wilton makes it and you can find it at Walmart or Michael's in the cake decorating section...I even found it at my local grocery store, and I live in a very small town...lol! I used a 1/4 tsp of coloring for each color. Then you just layer each color in the cupcake liner, and bake as usual...its very easy...and Oh so cute!!!!!

The cupcake in this picture has hardly any frosting on it...it was for my 2 year old....and it was also 8:00 at night..lol! The ones I frosted later had a generous amount of frosting on them...lol! I thought they turned out pretty cute though.......

I'm still here, and still kicking. I have just been super busy with kid stuff. My daughter started Kindergarten and is doing great. She is loving it, so that is a huge relief. I was so afraid that she was going to through some major fits and not want me to leave her there, but nope, she's handled it just fine. I'm so proud of her.

You would think that I would have more relaxing time with one of my two kids in school, but so far that hasn't happened...and here's why..... With two kids at home, they keep each other busy...with just one kid at home, a 2 year old, he wants more mommy time. There definitely is a noticeable difference in the amount of time and attention he is needing from me. Plus I think he misses his sister a lot.

So I've been busy playing with him and getting more stuff done around the house, which desperately needed to get done. I would love for someone to come in and organize my house...that would be so awesome! To have everything actually have a place, it would be like a dream, a wonderful, wonderful dream...lol! I wonder how much that would cost? Probably a lot..darn! lol!

I also just wanted to mention that I am so sad about Patrick Swayze passing away earlier this week at the age of 57. He seemed like such a great guy, everyone seemed to love him. He fought a great fight against his pancreatic cancer. This weekend I think I'm going to watch Dirty Dancing, it's one of my favorite movies, so I think it will be a nice little tribute to him. I am also making him today's random yummyness....he was and always will be a beautiful man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife of 35 years, Lisa.

Ok...I haven't posted here in a while....*slaps hand*......but I'm here today. I can't even say that I have a good excuse for not posting in month. I haven't been super busy. There have been no big family ordeals. There have been no deaths in the family. No big upsets at all.....I've just been lazy about posting....lol!

I think pretty soon though I am going to try and start posting regularly again. I should have more free time pretty soon. I'm taking a break from my design site for a little while. My daughter is going back to school...she starts Kindergarten this year. She's nervous about that, I'm nervous about that. It will be ok though. Anyway I'm going to chill out, relax and I'm also hoping I can sneak in a nap or two..that would be awesome!

So in a week, I will be down to just 1 very terrible two year old....lol! He has been a handful lately. We are also going to start potty training after his sister goes back to school...so that should be fun, fun, fun!!! I actually think he's going to be fairly easy to train, he seems really interested...now that I've said that he'll be a stinker butt and not do it...ugh!! I shouldn't of said that! lol!

So in the next few weeks you might hear some venting about poop, pee, and other nasty stuff....lol! Just ignore it. It's fine.

I'm not having a good day....I swear my daughter has been possessed by some evil demon. Her head might starting spinning around at any minute! I'm pretty sure she's a 16 year old in a 5 year old's body. Her attitude is unbelievable! Let me just say that I can't wait until school starts. It's going to be the longest month ever....lol!

Then just a little while ago my door handle on my car broke right off! Clean off! So now to open the door.... I have to get in on the other side and lean across and open the door. Very inconvenient! Especially with 2 kids in tow. Hopefully it will get fixed soon...very soon!

To top it all off my youngest child...probably won't lay down and take a nap. Instead, he'll probably stay up...get in trouble with his demon possessed sister...then fall asleep in his dinner plate(which is cute)...and then not want to go to bed at bedtime. So that's going to make for a delightful evening....*insert sarcasm here.*

I'm ready for this day to be over....

Michael Jackson Memorial Service

Today I cried more than I have in a while. I sat in front of my tv, just like millions of other people, and watched as friends and family said goodbye to a legend. There were many kind words and performances by Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Berry Gordy, Lionel Ritchie, Smokey Robinson, and the most touching of all his 11 year old daughter, Paris. I started bawling when she spoke. She said Michael "has been the best father you could ever imagine." She was choking back tears, but also managed to say "and I just wanted to say I love him so much." I'm tearing up just thinking about it. It was so sad and sweet, and definitely the most emotional moment of the service. If you missed the memorial today, definitely check out some of the videos here, today was a day that will be talked about for years to come.

Ok...this week was not a good week for celebrities! Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now I just heard this morning that Billy Mays died. He was only 50 too! You all should know who Billy Mays is...he's the infomercial pitchman for everything! OxiClean, Mighty Putty...all that stuff....He's the one that likes to YELL EVERYTHING!!!!!! LOL! I'm so sad....this is just not a good week... Billy Mays will be missed greatly!

Today we have lost to Hollywood legends.....Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. Farrah was just 62 and Michael only 50. I am still in shock and am so sad. These two people were icons and to lose them in the same day is just shocking.....I have no other words....They will be greatly missed. Their families will be in my thoughts and prayers....

Right now I am posting from my brand new laptop...yay!!!! I have been without one for a few weeks now and it has been the hardest few weeks of my life. Ok that might be a slight exaggeration but it's darn close..lol!

Anyway tonight my hubby surprised me by taking me to get a new one. I love it!! It a newer version of my old one, an HP. I pinkie swear that I won't break this one Honey...lol!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Here's my public service announcement for everyone...Don't leave your laptop balancing precariously on the edge of a couch....It's not a good idea...lol!

Back From Vacation

Well for the last two weeks we've been on vacation. We just got back on Saturday. It was so much fun. A little tiring, but fun..lol! We went to the beach, on a dolphin cruise, and spent endless hours playing the Wii. There were countless games of golf, bowling, and Mario Kart, and of course a ton of yelling and making jokes about each other....lol! All in good fun though..lol!

Anyways, we are back and hopefully I will be posting more often. Things are still a little hectic around here, but hopefully they will calm down soon. If they don't I might need another vacation...lol!

Well the last few weeks have flown by pretty quick. I can't believe that we are already a week into March. They say time flies when you're having fun, but I really haven't' had that much fun...lol! So I don't know if I believe that or not..

I've been busy blogging, doing some design work, and the last few days being sick. I've made two trips to the ER, but I'm finally feeling better. The doctors said I was dehydrated, had a slight UTI, bladder spasms and had possible kidney stones. No kidney stones showed on the cat scan that I had, but the doctor said they might just be too small to see or more like a mucous. Ewwww! So, I don't know, all I do know is that it hurt like hell..lol! So my words of wisdom for today are DRINK YOUR WATER! Drink your water and drink lots of it. That's what I'm doing right now...lol! Oh and our vacation is down to about two weeks away..Yay!

If you're a regular reader you may have noticed that my blog has a brand new look. I am really liking it. I worked on it yesterday afternoon and I am pretty pleased with the results. I've decided to give all my blogs a little blog makeover...lol! It will probably take me a week or so to get them all done..that will teach me for having so many blogs..lol! If you need a new blog header done...just look me up at Designed by Jen.

Our vacation is a month away and I'm getting anxious already...lol! The last couple weeks I've been buying a few things here and there for the trip, mostly clothes for the kids. I still need to buy myself a couple new pairs of jeans and a few shirts. We get our tax refund next Friday, so hopefully I'll be able to get my new stuff then. I also want to get my hair cut and colored, and of course....pay bills..ugh!

In celebrity news...Can you believe the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna thing? The night of the Grammy's they were no-shows and it was later revealed that Chris Brown beat up Rihanna. Today a photo was leaked to the media, and it shows Rihanna with cuts on her face and a bloody lip. So sad! I feel so bad for her, and I hope that his career is over! He deserves it. Violence is NOT the answer people!!

I can't believe that it's almost March already. It seems like just yesterday it was New Year's...lol! I guess time flies when you're having fun.. or...sitting on your butt on the couch...lol!!

Well the teenagers strike again! They didn't finish shoveling last night, so they said they would be back today after school, and they were. They also had to borrow a pair of gloves, and of course they left with the gloves on. Now hubby says he's gonna have to start keeping all his belongings in his car because I just give them away to strange teenagers...lol! He better watch it, or I'll just give his guitar away to the next person who happens upon my doorstep. Not really! I don't really want to get divorced, because he would certainly consider that to be a divorce worthy offense....lol! I am happy to report that our roof is now shoveled though, and won't be collapsing on our heads anytime soon.

Well today 3 teenagers came to the door and offered to shovel our roof for only $50. Great Deal! So I of course took it. They were very nice boys, but good grief were the annoying! I think they came to the door about 10 times for various things...lol! Some of these things include asking to borrow a ladder, asking me to move my car, asking me to borrow a shovel, asking me for bottled water, asking me to use the bathroom and so on, and so on! I know they were only teenagers and I know I got a great deal, but for goodness sakes...If your going to go door to door asking for work at least have your own equipment and use the bathroom before you leave or hold it! Ugh! Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood today...I don't know..Ok I'm done ranting.

Today I painted a little bit more in mom's apartment. It is almost done! Like this... ><... close. That's pretty close huh? LOL! I then just have to wash a window and put plastic over it, then I'm done! Yay!!! I can't believe it! I thought this project was never going to end, but thank goodness I was wrong! I could possibly have it done by tomorrow maybe, and definitely by the weekend. I think it's going to really cute when it's all decorated. When it's all done I'll post some pictures.
