Thursday--and I'm hoping GH is a bit more meaty today?? Seems like a lot of filler lately. Trying to stick all the newbies in is getting on my nerves too.

TODAY'S SHOW:

So, in the past few hours, LULU has written her entire story about Drew being given paralytic drugs by Willow! YEP! IT's all over the place!

Carly talks to Drew in her office, he just finds out about the article. He's so mad because he thought it was just about his recovery. He freaks out---says it's tabloid gossip. Carly says she doesn't think so. He leaves.

Chase is meeting with Monet in the cafe. She takes a call and Tracey sends him the link to the article. He jumps up and leaves.

Tracey, Michael and Brook Lyn talk about it in the Q kitchen. Tracey is so happy. M and B don't even know about it and have to read it in the paper. They can't believe it. Tracey can. She almost admires Willow. Then they worry she might do something to THEM! They eat and then Chase charges in and asks Brook if she had anything to do with that hit piece on Willow. She says no and then he asks Tracey and Michael if they did. They are like NO, it's the facts. He refuses to believe it. He says Brook tried to frame her for the accident, Michael tried to frame her for the shooting and Tracey pushed her in the lake. He's going to FIX THIS! Leaves.

Willow is in the gatehouse trying to do damage control and Britt comes in. Britt's like: Drop the act, I'm a doctor. I know you did this. Sidwell must have made you. Willow says: NOPE. Tells Britt about her terrible relationship with Drew, feeling trapped and everything. How Sidwell got the drugs and then made her be congress woman. Says that Drew will tell on her now that Brennan isn't around to keep power over him. Britt isn't so sure. If Drew accepts that truth he'd look like a weak tool that was lied to and who's wife hated him.

On the other front of things, Jordan is visiting Curtis to tell him she's getting her face fixed and will be gone for awhile. Curtis is a sad sack about it all.. but he says she should go. God, he's insufferable. Oh Michael is going with her. She leaves and later Monet comes in. Says she thinks the judge gave the jury bad directions so she could overturn the case.

Ava and Sonny argue over AVERY. :EYEROLL: She says he can't see her because he ordered Pentonville beating. Just back and forth. Anyway, Maura is fabulous. He throws Ava out. Later, Carly comes in with Donna who goes to play with Fizz. He asks Carly if she has a question for him. She says No, I know you didn't have anything to do with the beatings. He's trying too hard to go legit. She doesn't doubt him.

Ava and Drew meet up at the Jen Cafe. He tells her about the article and it's bad news because it puts Jack Brennan in the mix again. Ava thinks he should confirm the article and bury Willow.

Yesterday's show-- I like the therapist/Anna interaction. Val and Brook were good as well. Plus, Sidwell dishing on Willow? PERFECT because I need that out and over with asap. I wish we could have seen Jason getting that falcon's nest OFF THE DAMN ROOF by himself. AHAHHAA. I MEAN--come on.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Alexis and Molly in the gym. PSA for bone health. (Alexis was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2020) Then Dante and Rocco walk in and Alexis finds out that Rocco was punched by Danny. They don't tell her the details though. Later, Alexis goes off about what a horrible father Drew is and--he's standing right behind her ahahaa. He says he might send Scout to boarding school if they don't lay off and stop poisoning her against him. They keep arguing.

Dante wants to take Rocco to Bensonhurst for the weekend. Rocco says no. Then they talk about friends and Rocco says Char is gone and he and Danny don't talk. (they totally watch as Drew and Alexis fight lol)

Dante goes to talk to Danny. He thinks he and Rocco need to patch things up. Danny's like: nope.

Gio and Emma want to move in together. Looking at apartments. Tracey walks in, asks what's up. He says he is leaving Sonny's. She's sorry about the circumstances but is happy for them.

Scout goes to visit Danny in the gatehouse while he's watching Wylie and Amelia. He tells her it's not a good idea. She says come on, let me in. She knows why Danny really smashed Rocco in the face. She sort of apologizes. Danny says there is a lot between him and Rocco and he's not over it yet. The two of them vow to stick together like Sam would have wanted. She leaves.

Rocco goes to visit Scout in front of that barn cafe. They talk about Danny and he's glad she got things straight with him.

Carly has Anna to the office and wants to talk about Joss and the WSB. Wants her to mentor Joss. Anna says absolutely not. Didn't Jason tell her about what she did? Carly's like: NO! Anna says she tried to kill Britt. Carly's sorry she asked, didn't know Anna was going thru all that. Anna says she's seeing someone about her captivity. The therapist recommended she get someone in the sessions that knew her and Faison from the past. The only 2 people are Robert and Valentin. Carly's like ASK VALENTIN! Anna says no, it's too painful for him. Then she says Val was kinda obsessed with her and it's not a good thing. Not to minimize what he and Carly have but probably better not to go that route. Carly keeps pushing. Anna asks why she cares so much. Carly says when she looks at Anna, she sees her daughter's future. Keeps pressuring her to have Val in the sessions. Anna says won't it bother you if he's in there and he used to love me? Carly compares them with Jason and her relationship.

Lucas and Liz talk about Sidwell being in the hospital. Lucas hopes he leaves soon. Liz tells him Lulu was trying to get in to see him. They both think that Sonny setting up the beatings is the most likely explanation.

Lulu interviews Valentin and wants to do a story on his paralysis and miraculous recovery. Drew's like: WHY? She says the public would like to know his story and what it was like to be trapped in his own body. They are going to meet up later to talk about it. In the meantime, Lulu wants to talk to his doctors. Gives Drew a medical waiver to sign.

Lulu goes to GH with the waiver. Liz says she has to check with Drew before they can release the records. She doesn't believe her. She comes back and is like: HOW did you get him to sign this. Lulu pitches the story she wants to write to Liz. Liz says that Lucas and she were on duty the night he came in and it was good Willow was there for a quick diagnosis. Lulu wonders how involved Willow was in his care. Liz says A LOT. Then Lucas talks about it and THEN they both tell her JACK BRENNAN had the same thing! DUN DUN DUN.

You Look Familiar - 2026 Edition

Back in 2019, I did a filler blog titled "You Look Familiar". It featured Verne Watson and John Ingle. I knew that both of them have been in multiple series and I did a character count. Verne played a nurse 14 times in her career. And John? He played a priest 11 times. Typecasting? No. Just really good actors who played a certain part very, very well.

With a gazillion new characters on the show this year, I wanted to look around the internet and see if any of them "look familiar" to us. I'm sure that GH cannot be their first show. So, take a look at some of our newest cast members and ask yourself, "Do they look familiar?"

PERIGRINE FALCONS

Sad news. Robert Kelker-Kelly who played Stavros on GH has passed away at the age of 62. I really enjoyed his portrayal of that Cassadine brother. He also played Bo Brady on Days.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Jason opens the door to Serena. HE doesn't know who she is. She asks if he's Jason. He says yes. She stomps on his foot: That's from Scotty Baldwin. She says Scotty had to leave in the middle of the night because Jason threatened his life. Jason wonders why she's there. She says she's meeting with Tracey and Brook about Deception.

Tracey tries to get information from Yuri about Chase/Brook's argument. All he will say is they left angry. Then they go into something about the falcons nesting at the house. She wants them moved because of the noise. He says no, they are protected. Then Jason gets into the convo. Probably going to find Jack.

Serena and Tracey sit to talk about Deception. Brook and Lucy are late. She tells Tracey about a pop up at the holiday market. Tracey says just say: Temporary store. Then Serena mentions the falcons. Tracey says she hates them, wants them gone. Serena is aghast. They decide to not have the meeting since Lucy/Brook aren't there. Serena pretends to leave but sneaks upstairs to find the falcon nest.

Hudson is in the gym, boxing the bag. Brook walks in. Told you they were chem testing them. Blah, blah.. Brook gets into it about Chase.

Chase is meeting with Monet at The Metro Patio. He tells her Brook wanted them to move into their own place but he didn't trust her. He thinks it's over. Wants to legally separate. She's going get the papers ready.

Britt and Willow are having nosh there too. Willow has another daydream about Chase. Britt notices and is all: TELL ME.. I know you still love him. Willow says no, we are just friends. They talk about Jason. Britt DID love him but they weren't compatible. They get their french fries. Then when Monet leaves Chase, Britt leaves so Willow can be alone with him. She asks him about Leo. Then they talk about the falcon nest ---Amelia and Wiley like to watch them.

ADA and Sonny go round and round about whether or not she believes him about the attack on Sidwell/Curtis. She says he lied to her and she bought them HOOK LINE AND SINKER. Sonny's upset. She's upset. Stomps out after telling him he's a liar

Gio and Trina are talking about Sonny. He tells her about the Dante/Sonny fight. Says he Dante made a lot of sense and he doesn't believe Sonny. He says he'll have to tell him he's moving out.

Joss goes to Baines to try to talk him into letting her bring Sonny down. Says she KNOWS he's actually in the mob. He asks about her present assignment. Then he says forget it-- you keep working on the JJE thing. No revenge, just catch criminals for the WSB. She agrees. She's supposed to audit JJE's far east holdings.

Joss walks into The Metro and sees Willow and Chase talking, reinforcing what Michael told her about them.

Sunday Surgery: Blood Brothers

What a difference a week makes. I enjoyed the show and wasn't floundering or wanting to turn it off. Why? Three things: Scenes were longer, dialog was more intricate and focus was tighter. All I really ask is for things to flow and the scenes to be compelling. It wasn't an A week but it was a solid B in my book.

Yes, there's still a lot to discuss but for once, I might shine a light on the good things!

Some of my blogs offer summary basics. Others go more in depth into the stories. This is one of those. Hope you don't get too bored with my meanderings.

MOVIN' TO MAINE: Powerful Lulu and Charlotte scenes played out, especially in the wake of what's happening in the news. Not only did Lulu touch on the fact that Charlotte put herself in danger (what if he kissed you and drove you to an unknown location!) she also read her the riot act on false reporting. Alexa and Bluesy did a great job with this material. I know I criticize but when delivered, I say so. Whether or not Valentin and Lulu would really send Char to boarding school is moot right now. BB is leaving for college and TPTB decided not to recast at this juncture. So there you have it. Georgie needs to move back from Australia to finish her Junior/Senior year while living with Felicia and Mac. There! See, I solve so many problems.

I LEARNED IT FROM YOU! I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU!! Those old fried egg drug commercials were on my mind a lot this week. From Charlotte pointing it out to Valentine to the powerful Danny and Jason scenes, it just resonated. Danny tells Jason that he and Charlotte basically had no one else but each other to figure things out when their dads were MIA. Jason tells Carly that he'd basically would have done the same for her (or more) back in the day. I liked their talk about being young and not seeing the big picture. That's what maturing does for you!

SNOTTY SCOUT: Moving along with the teen-scene, ol' Scout is certainly getting her brat going! She's done a 180 on Dad that's for sure. She was angry with him right and left for keeping her from her family. Now? She's trying to deal with the fact that everyone thinks he's scum while still loving him as her father. Have to put in here the scene when Lulu sees them kissing but then gives Rocco/Scout time to jump up before she enters the room. That's growth right there!

FALSE INFORMATION: Here we go again!! Everyone and their mother believes Sonny had Sidwell and by association, Curtis beaten in Pentonville. Can Curtis, Jordan and Trina BE more wrong? Well, yes-- see Isaiah. Given the fact the guy stated Sonny's NAME to them should be the first clue it's a set up. BUT! Here's the thing: Divine Irony is at play here because hardly anyone believes Sonny. Why? Mob Boss past is coming to haunt you. I really wish Laura was around because I'd love to see her reaction. She's close to Curtis as well-- would she stick by Sonny or jump the fence? Dante/Sonny stuff was powerful and Dom Z was spectacular with his material. I also like that Ric is standing by his brother. Gio's not even sure he believes Grandpa! So Sonny has Ric, Jason and probably Carly in his corner. That's it.

SAVE MY QUEEN: UGH... Drew is bad enough. Ava throwing in with him is just pissing me off. Like I've said before, her character has gone through many changes throughout the years and not having a custody fight over her non-existent kid was one that was welcome. Now she's all in this Drew MESS--including Nina going to Steinmaur. The story for these two has shifted from the burying of Brennan to setting Sonny up for a fall. I don't see a good way out of this. Well, unless she murders Drew, then all is forgiven. My other thought is to say Fk it and have Ava take over Sonny's territory. She's a Jerome after all and we know Maura can deliver. Certainly would give a new life to the character.

LIGHTER FARE: I'm giving kudos to the Carly/Britt/Lucas scenes because they were a fun, natural addition to this week's show. The three of them can deliver very casual dialog with sass and conviction.

TENNIS, ANYONE? Brook dunks Michael in Lake ONTARIO after realizing he's been setting things up for her marriage to fail. Why did I like these scenes? Brook is a smart cookie and knows manipulation better than anyone. Finding out about Michael was icing on the cake. She is at first furious with him then, after Chase doubts her intentions for moving, seems to realized he IS the enemy.

WILLOW'S WORLD: Hear me out. It was refreshing to see Willow wield her political power this week because it could really move a story forward. I don't want to see any more of the inside of Pentonville than I have to so Curtis is somehow going to have to get out of there. Ergo, I do not care if Congress woman Wills gets him a pardon. Nope. There's way more strife in him out of jail than in. Now we also know that Tristan can be swayed by something as easy as being owed a political favor. Not quite sure I buy into the 'destroying Sonny' angle but there you go. Again, I'm intrigued.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO...: Sidwell? He's on death's door, going into surgery and then... crickets. One of those weird GH time warps that exists on our soap.

OTHER MOMENTS OF NOTE: (these make sense to me, but maybe not to you!!)

TRACEY/DANNY/LEMONS: Yes, I noted the $80 bowl of lemons. What ARE they doing with all of those? Tracey gave sage advice to young Danny and the dialog was rich and full of history. If anyone knows about fighting with your sibling, it's Tracey. Just loved them together.

DR TRISTAN: This is the first week I've felt like he fit into scenes. Interacting with Anna and Curtis and accepting Willow's proposal just fit. One chink in the armor showed me he's willing to compromise to gain political favor. Intriguing.

VALENTIN AND ANNA: Loved their talk at the Metro about parenting and Val's guilt over hauling Charlotte all over the world while on the run. He was proud of her for being cunning and independent but also realizes that could be a double edged-sword. JPS and FH always deliver, that's for sure.

TEENS: I thought they all delivered this week. I'm not always happy with them but they did a nice job.

LINE OF THE WEEK: Jordan to Portia: "Wow, he must be one hell of a lay"!!

STILL NEEDS FIXIN:

ADA and Sonny--no chemistry and just repeat upon repeat

Either have Quinn/Simon on or drop that storyline. Also see: Serena

The JJE story is moving so slow and I SO don't care. Soon "Jude" Newbie number 8 will be introduced. *sigh* PS Joss is no CEO of a billion dollar corporation ..at ALL.

Get Olivia and Ned on more; Leo as well. An autistic teen would be a great addition

Avery? Where for art thou Avery?

So, all in all a decent week for me. I did watch 2 episodes on Hulu which I love because no commercials. The show flies by and flows so much better. I know people are split about the Sonny material but I for one am liking him in this position. Having to plead for people to believe you isn't pretty, especially for a 'powerful' man--especially your own family. He's not in control now. The week was pretty much centered on the Pentonville beating and the teens which really helped to make my viewing more pleasurable. I didn't even have to think about all the background stuff at all. I like how Molly was sprinkled into some scenes about Scout as well. Having Mac and Felicia on is always a treat and this time the delivered some history that Emma needed to hear. Jury is out on Monet. She's feisty and at least related to one person on canvas. BUT-- Jordan is going to leave to get her scars fixed and there goes scenes between the two! I can never figure this show out. LOL... Having rich backstories come to light sooner rather than later can make or break a character imo. Hmm, we shall see!!

There was a lot of discussion this time and if you made it to the end, congratulations. I really didn't even touch on other parts of the show like Trina/Joss because my bandwidth just ran right out. Have a great Sunday.

One Hell Of A...

FRIDAY!! I'm really enjoying this week so far--can they make it DAY 5 for me!!?? We shall see!!

TODAY'S SHOW:

Dante tells Gio Sonny hasn't really left the mob and he can't stay there tonight. Gio tells them he knows Curtis named Sonny in the attack. Dante says it was Sonny's men and such. Dante says one gave the order, one beat them up. Sonny cops to the fact he sent Vito but just to tell Sully to keep an eye on Sidwell. He pleads with Gio. Dante says he should leave but Gio is a grown man. He goes out the door. Sonny says he never would hurt Curtis. GOOD SCENE by Maurice.

Felicia, Mac and Emma have lunch at the Metro and talk about Sonny. Mac says there might not be a lot of evidence but he's probably guilty. Mac and Fe were glad Sonny was out of the mob because she's dating Gio. Brings up Morgan, Michael...and even Stone getting shot back in the day. Robin defended Sonny and look!

Jordan has nosh with ADA she says "Your boyfriend put Curtis in the hospital, what are you going to do about it"... ADA says there's not a lot of evidence. Jordan asks her if she's going to date him when he obviously lied about getting out of the mob. Justine says she has to have more proof. Jordan "WOW he must be one HELL OF A LAY" ahahhhaa!! She tells her if she keeps dating Sonny, she can't be friends with her. Michael comes and takes Jordan into the hall.

Michael tells Jordan she has to get to the clinic NOW. She's like NO Way will I leave Curtis when he's in GH. Michael says he'll be taken care of. Says she needs to take care of herself right now.

Lulu tells Tracey if Danny does ANYTHING ELSE she'll press charges. Tracey says Rocco would hate her if she does. They talk about how Lulu should handle Rocco. Tracey says not to control your kid's lives too much. She learned the hard way. Good talk. Lulu tells her Charlotte is in boarding school. Tracey understands how hard it must have been to send her away.

Rocco tells Scout he deserved to get punched. Tells her about saying Sam would send Danny away if she were still alive. Scout says he's wrong: Sam would never send Danny away. She was awesome and would have worked thru it. Says her dad cares too much what people think. People don't like him but he's her dad. He loves her and she loves him. Then they kiss.

Chase wants to know why Brook and him were arguing. She sugar coats it then says they should get their own place to work out their issues. Chase says no they have to work things out with her family around because they are a package.

Joss and Trina talk about Curtis getting beat up. Trina tells her Sonny was implicated. Joss says she won't let Sonny get away with this. They talk about Sonny and power and how he's gotten out of things over the year. "I don't care how many wings he donates to the hospital, he makes me sick" says Trina.

Later, Sonny walks into the dark love nest and grabs a bottle and chugs. Texts Justine.

Brook basically tells Chase she can't believe he thinks that badly of her and leaves. Flashes back to Michael saying Chase should do himself in.

Joss says she'll stop Sonny no matter WHAT

Lulu catches Rocco and Scout kissing but pretends she didn't.

Dante tells Tracey she's been right about Sonny all along.

Gio tells Emma he's not sure he believes Sonny

Justine shows up and wants Sonny to tell her himself he didn't have anything to do with the attack

Tues/Wed GH and TODAY!

Oh I really liked Tuesday and Weds shows--- probably because I could watch on Hulu and not have commercials all over the place. SUCH a different experience.

LOVED Carly/Lucas and then Lucas/Britt. Such good, comfortable scenes. All three are good at that with the friend thing.

Also: Danny/Jason convo was really good as well. Jason and Carly realizing they made the same mistakes as these teens are. The kids were decent in their scenes...which doesn't always happen. Dialog for Monday/Tues/Wed? excellent.

My jury is out about Jordan and Michael but it's certainly happening I think. Which if it gets Serena out of there, I'm for it.

Don't mind Sonny getting framed. Nope. LOVE that Ric is standing up for his brother though.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Tracey and Chase talking in the Q kitchen. She wants him to file for divorce. HE's like don't tell me what do do. She reminds him he moved back into the house. She says he should stick by Brook and if she HAD confessed they never would have gotten Phoebe. He says Tracey is the reason she lied in the first place. Leaves.

Brook and Michael on the boat launch in tennis clothes talking about Chase moving back in. Michael tells her just to bide her time, Chase will mess up with Willow soon enough. "They'll sleep together". Brook pushes him in the lake! LOL. She realizes Michael had Wills move into the gatehouse just to set Chase up. She's furious. Michael says her marriage is over and she should act like a Quartermain.

Danny gets into Scout's house when Drew leaves. He wonders what Rocco told her. He says they got in a fight about Charlotte. Scout gets all pissy and says Danny must have thrown the first punch and he's a thug haahaha. She hates him--says that her dad could have gone to prison. She tells him to GET OUT.

Rocco is sneaking out to school and Lulu stops him. She sees his bruises. He tells her about the fight with Danny. She is really pissed with Danny. Danny thinks back to saying that Sam would want him to go away just like Charlotte before Danny punched him.

Gio and Trina. Trina tells him about the attack. Gio doesn't believe Sonny ordered it. She says her Dad is sure. Maybe Sonny isn't out of the mob after all. Gio won't believe it. Trina says that her dad named Sonny and she's afraid he'll kill her dad. Please talk to him.

Tristan says Curtis can be discharged. Willow stops him in the hall, says she's a congress woman and needs to speak to him about Curtis. She wants to know his status. Tristan won't tell her. She finally goes in to see Curtis (She called the warden) she wants to help him because he's a hero for saving Sidwell and naming Sonny. He says OOOOOoh, you want to use the ammo with the custody case. She asks if she can help him at all. He says: Well, not from a prison cell. He wants a full pardon from the governor-- and he'll get her Sonny.

Trina goes to visit Curtis and can't get in. Willow comes out and Trina is all "MUST BE NICE to be a congress woman" and then Willow tells the guard to let Trina in and she can stay as long as she wants.

Dante goes over to Sonny's house. He says he believes Sonny wanted to get out of the mob but he needs to ask him if he ordered the attack on Sidwell. Sonny says no. Looks him in the eye. Dante says: you're lying to me. Sonny is like: you have to believe me, I'm not lying. Dante says he thought Sonny trusted him more. GREAT ACTING BY DOM Z. Sonny says if he wanted Sidwell dead, he'd be dead 10x over. Dante gets upset and says he did believe him even though for his entire adult life, Sonny built a criminal empire.

Later, Danny goes into the Q kitchen and tells Tracey about the fight with Rocco. Also, his sister hates him. They have a good talk about sibling love and hate lol . He has to go mulch now.

END:

Willow talks Dr Tristan into having Curtis stay at GH for a few more days. He says it's always good to have a congress person in his corner.

Chase hears Michael and Brook arguing

Dante says Sonny's a bad person, Sonny says he did what he did to protect his family and provide for them. Then he tells Dante to get out. Gio hears all of it.

Brownstone --Your Wednesday GH Filler!

Show of hands. Who remembers the Brownstone? It was 40 years ago. Does that make you feel old? Karen has been mentioning that it needs to return, and what better time with all the new characters we have on the show. I could easily copy/paste some background of the Brownstone, but all of you can just go and read up on it yourself either with YouTube or Wikipedia. I am going to just give my memories in a nutshell.

The Brownstone was created in 1985, which happens to be the year I graduated from high school. Yes, I am that old. To me, and my recollection, the Brownstone was Friends before Friends. A group of people in their mid-20s lived together in the same building (sound familiar?) and they congregated around a big couch in the living room. (again, sound familiar? Central Perk anyone?) It made so much sense at the time to do this. Instead of meeting in the hospital cafeteria or Kelly's for scenes, this was a place for young people to interact.

I also remember, vaguely, some of the people who lived there. Frisco and Felicia, Tony and Tania, Luke and Laura, and some people without alliteration. Terry Brock was DL Brock's daughter, and she brought with her Kevin and Patrick. (Not Robin's Patrick, a previous one). And there was a murder mystery in the Brownstone and at one point there was a location shoot (not a typo. they actual did a location shoot) to a fictitious town called Laurelton where Terry walked naked down the street one night. Karen swears this never happened, but I have YouTube proof.

He's right. I do not remember that at all. I remember the earthquake that struck in 1991 and Felicia was trapped in the brownstone. I also have memories of the Jake and Bobbie years there. I believe that's where they got married.

The building burned down, and the set was transformed into another set, as most sets wind up doing. It hasn't really been mentioned since.

NO!! I actually remember better than David here! Kiki and Morgan redid the Brownstone as part of the Waterfront Revitalization Project in 2014. Michael was the head of the whole project for ELQ. This also included an AJ Quartermaine Memorial Clinic (I kid you not). Avery was actually born at the Brownstone while Ava lived there.

What now? Does it make sense to bring this back? Can we fill 6 apartments and have a new location for people to hang out and have some coffee? How would this differ from the original? Who would own it? (Bobbie owned the original). Is anyone else getting a "227" vibe? I called on AI to give me a brownstone. There is no living room (of course there should be) but this could be a concept for a new Brownstone. I am not redoing the AI so you are stuck with this one.

A Black and White Movie Day (Tues Blog)

Normally when I put together a filler for Karen's day off / hair appointment, it is usually GH themed. There have been a handful of times when I went off-topic and threw something together from left field. This is one of those times.

A friend of mine (yes, I still have a few) was talking with me about the greatest movies of all time. He is younger than me so naturally, his list was filled with Star Wars and Harry Potter. My list started forming and I noticed that it was a lot of black and white films from a bygone age. (Although Godfather was on the list, I am after all half-Italian)

I decided to compile a top 10 list of nothing but black and white films. (sorry, Vito). These truly are, to me, the best of the best. My number one would be The Last Picture Show with All About Eve a really close second. Third would be Casablanca. How many of these have you seen? Are there any black and white films (and they are called films, not movies) that you have seen and enjoyed? What did I miss?

MONDAY! And... it will be my only live day until Thursday!! STUFF TO DO PEOPLE. I have to admit I don't even care at the moment.

HERE WE GO:

Oh god, ADA and Sonny are in bed, talking about how PEOPLE MIGHT KNOW ABOUT THEM. :EYEROLL: I'm not even dignifying it with a comment. ADA gets a call about the guys in the hospital.

Val tells Charlotte she's going to a boarding school in Maine and she's already accepted. She's freaking out. She tells Lulu she will miss her so much, can she move back in? Such manipulation. Cassadine approved. Lulu asks to talk to Charlotte alone. Val leaves. Lulu lays into her about what could have happened including being SA'd and even killed. (good scene). She thinks she should go to boarding school. GREAT DIALOG about lying when it comes to accusing someone of SA. Charlotte agrees to go but wants to say goodbye to Danny first.

Danny and Rocco talk at the Q boat house. Rocco tells Danny Carly knows everything and Char is in big trouble. Rocco says Scout was with him but he doesn't think she'll tell Drew. Danny hopes not. They end it with they are still brothers and there for each other. Rocco leaves.

Charlotte goes to the boathouse to see Danny. Tells him Rocco did this to impress Scout..and now she has to leave for boarding school. Oh the horror.

Emma and Gio go to The Metro Patio to eat. Emma sees Anna with Tristan. Gio tells her he and Trina are going to sing together but NO BROOK LYN.

Anna tells Tristan that the WSB is letting her see Dr. Nichols so she doesn't need to seek out his counsel. He seems sad. He says that he'll listen any time. Anna says he reminds her of another good listener that's across the world. Oh geesh. Anna then goes over to talk to Emma and Gio. She's like: are you following me? Emma says Gio picked the place. Anna leaves.

Valentin walks into the restaurant, runs into Anna. He can't find Carly. She asks what's wrong. He says he's a bad dad yada yada. Charlotte is the way she is because of him. Anna tries to reason with him...but Valentin is sad sad sad.

SONNY Comes in rando to talk to Gio about career advice? Okay. Gio wonders if he could find him a manager based on his time at L&B records. Sonny says sure but keep it quiet.

Carly goes to visit Lucas in his new place, she meets Joe for the first time. Carly brings Lucas wine and a toaster. Joe has to go to work. Carly has to talk to Lucas about something she needs help with. She tells him the whole story about Val/Char and she's afraid lulu will use it against Valentin. Talks about how close she and Valentin have gotten.

At GH, Curtis and Sidwell are in there beat up. Isaiah sees Curtis...Curtis sees Isaiah. Liz tells Dante who the prisoners are that were transferred there. Isaiah asks if he wants another doctor. The guard says he is a prisoner and gets no choice. Isaiah loses his temper and says he still has RIGHTS! Curtis says he will let Isaiah treat him. Isaiah has broken ribs. CT/MRI will tell if he has internal bleeding. Curtis doesn't want anyone to know he's in GH.

Liz takes Dante in to see Sidwell who's in bad shape. Dante asks who did this to him. Sid says "who do you think"?? Isaiah kicks Dante out of the room. Sidwell goes into shock.
Dante calls Joe to come in and take the case because of his conflict of interest.

ADA ARRIVES.. Dante says they have to find out who did this to them. She goes in and Tristan throws her out because Sidwell isn't doing well. Joe can't get any answers from Curtis either.

Swinging into the end-ish of September has been a test of patience. This on top of all the newbies has been a drag on most if not all of the 'stories' brewing on this show. I'll give you the rundown of the week but it won't be much to digest. Skipping around also seems to be the direction we are going in so if you don't see me mention something, that's because it's now on the B side of things.

TEENAGE WASTELAND: I'm using that header again because I can't think of another way to label this. Word got out that BB, who plays Charlotte is leaving the show to go to college. Instead of a much needed recast, they are sending her to boarding school. In record time, Lulu and Val both agreed on something and off she goes? Maybe she'll run away instead--that would also give JPS time off as well and we know he likes that!! My biggest beef with this whole thing is that it started getting good on Monday with the Char-Val confrontation in Carly's office. Then we sat through two days of filler before they even touched on it again. And I'm talking BIG TIME Filler.

AFTER SCHOOL CRUSH: I'm putting these two in here because they are part of this teenage 'angst' going on. If you saw these scenes play out you KNOW why I'm cringing with every fiber of my being. And no, I'm not like a lot of you who see these two as para-related (I DO NOT CARE)..I see them as a sugar induced cutsie pie couple that make my teeth ache. Scouts giggle after they kissed sent me over the edge. Maybe I'm just old and was brought up on 70's and 80's soap chaos and can't appreciate this middle school romance.

ALLEY CATS: You can't see this photo very well and that might be a good thing. After one of the most painful dialogs ever spoken, ADA and Sonny kissed. Jordan saw it. Oh horror. :eyeroll: This MIGHT have worked 15-20 years ago for Sonny but now? Just sad. "Are you REALLY OUT of the MOB"? "Can I REALLY jeopardize my career because I just can't stay away from our love nest"? Compounding the issue is that these two don't have interactions outside of that studio so any build up of a relationship is moot. I have no words at this point. Just try to watch a few of their scenes and tell me this is good soap.

SMASH: Again with the aging characters having wet fantasies and cringe worthy dialog. We've seen Willow do this dance with Chase...Michael... Drew... and...Michael and Chase and... OMG stop.

MONET MONET: No idea why I hear "Rochelle Rochelle" in my head with this name, but here we are. Obviously. she and Jordan have a nasty history as siblings. The new actress seems good. Basically held her own with Jane Elliot so that's a decent start. Not sure why she couldn't have been a Ward or why Jordy needed family in town at this juncture but.. okay. I'm just tired of so many characters coming on, being introduced and then languishing in the background. (see Hudson, Tristan, Serena, Quinn, Simon, Baines).

BALLET ANYONE: This harkens back to the time that Kristina and Ava fought over Avery going to the ballet. Remember that?? It's right before Krissy took a dive into the Metro Pool. Either way... this ish just ramped up to a whole other level this week. Thank GOD Maura was there to do some clean up around the edges because it was in the danger zone. Again, are they bringing on a SORA'd Avery or what? With Char supposedly leaving and SO much focus on a character we NEVER SEE, they have to be right? I know all of this has to do with Ava hating Sonny and teaming up against Drew. Ava should be teaming against Drew to save Nina but here we are. :eyeroll:

VITO: So, did they throw a red herring to us with Sonny's meeting with Vito? Ric Hearst made the commute in for a tiny scene with Sonny surrounding Sidwell and then this goombah walks in. He and Sonny talk "privately". Sonny tells Ric he's sending a message to Sidwell in Jail. Did he REALLY have him beat up? Seems too clean to me. Sonny should be 100% done with Sid. So--Did Drew set that up to blame Sonny? Did Sidwell set it up to blame Sonny? Do we care who set it up? Not me. I'm so done with Pentonville beatdowns and then inmates in the hospital yada yada. The one thug looked so much like Spinelli though, didn't he? That's him up there.

PICKING UP PIECES:

Who's buying Wyndemere? Wasn't there going to be some bidding war going on?

How in the hell did Sonny GET out of the mob anyway?

I usually can offer a more cohesive way I'd 'fix' the show more to my liking but I'm getting those splatter painting vibes lately. You remember the ones; you had a wheel and put paint on and watched it fly? Yep, that's the vibe I'm getting. There is just NO binding of stories or weaving of any tales. How can a show that was SO stellar with the Cullum end game end up like THIS? WHY do we have a parade of new characters that really don't contribute much to the show? I would have rather seen Sonny trying to get himself out of mobular life and handing the reigns to Ms Wu. I wouldn't have put Curtis in jail where he's walking around trying to protect Sidwell. Wouldn't there be way more drama if he was out and had to apologize to Isaiah? Why not recast Maxie and leave that family intact in Port Charles? We love James and Georgie is Scout's age! Strengthen what you have and build on that. But, here we are. Also see: Heather Webber is coming back. Don't get me wrong, I like her but that is played out. Maybe she'll end up killing Kai, Drew, Hudson, -- etc. Oh, almost forgot that OTHER guy "Jude" will be here and connected to JJE soon. Pass the chips. We are going to need them!!

I won't apologize for being negative because right now I'm a little miffed I finally have the time to dedicate to the show and I'm floundering!! I love our community --and I DO take the time to watch the show. I realize this is a 'building time' so maybe I just need to chill out a bit? What say you?

FRIDAY.

Jordan and her sister. Sister is sassy, looks at Jordan's scars. Wonders if she's going to get them fixed. Calls her a drama queen. They banter. Guess they don't like each other. Monet tells her that she's staying in PC for a year and working for Diane and Alexis. Bicker, bicker. I guess Monet really loathes Jordan.

Hudson wormed his way into the Q house and is looking at Brook and Phoebe. This is so predictable. They do peek a boo with Phoebe. Chase walks in. Looks mad. Tells Brook he's moving back into the house. She figures out his lawyer told him to do that. She's not happy he doesn't want to work things out between them.

Joss is meeting with Michael at the Metro. He wants her to keep living at the Qs to help him keep an eye on Chillow. She's not so sure and thinks he sounds like Drew. Says he needs to let things alone.

Lulu called Jason to the house to talk about Danny and Charlotte. They egg each other on. She needs back up with Valentin and asks Jason to do that.

ADA and Sonny talking about the stupid dumpster kiss. Are you IN THE MOB or OUT? I'm out..do you WANT TO SEE ME OR NOT? UGH insufferable.

Charlotte is at the boathouse looking for Danny. He's at the feed store with Cody. She wants to use Rocco's phone. Rocco doesn't think that's a good idea. They argue. She says he only did what he did to impress Scout. Then Rocco gets a phone call from Lulu.

Curtis and Sidwell. Curtis warns Sidwell he's going to get beaten and should go to the warden. Sidwell says no, he wants to hire Curtis to be his bodyguard. Curtis says no, he just wanted to warn him. Leaves. Later 3 guys come in to beat him up. Beat him up badly, pull a knife. Curtis comes in just as they are about to stab him. Then they turn to stab Curtis.

Carly and Val talk about Charlotte. He mentions boarding school and Carly says he really should tell Lulu and join forces. It would be best for Charlotte. I actually agree with Carly! Later, Jason comes over to share his talk he had with Lulu. They say it sounds like something Carly would do.

Valentin goes to Lulu's and Jason leaves. He tells her she is right about Charlotte. Then tells her the entire story about the car. Lulu wonders if she really IS seeing Drew. Val says no she was setting him up so Danny could see Scout. They talk more, he mentions boarding school. They call Rocco and tell him to bring Char home.

Curtis and Sidwell both get beaten and left on the floor. Guy says: Sonny Corinthos says you deserve this and more.

OMG this is so stupid. Apple and Hulu just announced price increases that are STUPID. I think I'm going to look at cable again and fk streaming. UGH. I really only watch GH on live tv --ergo having Hulu for $109 a month to get GH (and that's WITH ADS!) just burns me.

RANT OVER! TODAY'S SHOW:

Chase and Willow. They dog on the Quartermaines. She says he should move back in (probably because he'll be closer)

Drew goes to Michael and tattles on Drew and Willow for being close in the gym. Michael is like: MEH. Just yada yada.

Monet and Tracey. Tracey says no way is she letting Chase move back in. Monet threatens with legal separation and a custody agreement. Around and around. Monet says to make sure Brook agrees with what Tracey wants. She leaves.

Jordan and ADA . Jordan says she saw ADA and Sonny Kissing! OMG! What are you thinking? I mean-- whatever. ADA says she just can't quit him. She leaves and texts Sonny.

Alexis is in Pentonville talking to a rando client. Sidwell walks up, wants to hire her to get him out. He says Sonny is going to kill him. Alexis is like: BLOOP! Sidwell pleads his case. He says it will be her fault if he dies and she didn't help him.

Ava and Sonny argue over ghost Avery . He wants to take her to NYC and Ava's like NOPE. I was going to take her in JANUARY! IT'S OUR THING! The DIALOG ON THIS IS SO BAD-- wow. WOW. So bad. Sonny threatens Ava and says she'd better pick up the phone NOW and call the school. SHE DOES. She caved.

Drew and Ava meet at the Metro to talk about bringing down Sonny.

Michael and Tracey have tea in the Q kitchen. Chase comes in. Tracey is letting him move in.

Heather is back in November ... Soap Opera Digest is reporting the goods! So, is she Trina's stalker or a red herring? NOVEMBER -- which means whatever it is, it's gonna take some time.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Dezi is visiting Curtis in jail. He says he's sorry about not believing Portia about Isaiah not being the driver.

Tracey and Brook are talking about Chase. Tracey basically says stop being a sad sack. Later, Yuri is there to figure out how to plant shrubs/trees around the gatehouse. Also, keeping an eye on Willow. She realizes Chase not having a legal separation might hurt him. Yuri says he shouldn't be pulling and pushing things. She's like: Sorry it's what I do.

Chase is talking to new Lawyer Lady. She says the sooner he gets a legal separation the better, it protects him. He also should move back into the Qs asap. Looks better that way. He says Brook will be ok about it but not sure about Tracey. Monet says she'll take care of her.

Willow is talking to Ava about Nina. Ava is trying to convince her Carly had something to do with Brennan and that's why she threw Nina under the bus. Willow thinks it over, then leaves.

Drew is talking to Kai about his shooting and asks why he didn't come forward sooner. He also says Kai made sure Willow didn't hurt him further and that's loyalty. Wants him to work at Aurora. Kai says no way. Drew smiles as he leaves. He thinks he will.

Trina wants to quit singing. Gio's like: @@ ! If you quit, I'm quitting! Brook comes by and says Simon's looking for them. Gio says they are discontinuing their contract. Brook says: Don't do that. Trina says you have no say in anything. Then Brook convinces them to at least keep working with Simon. Geeesh that lasted 4 seconds lol.

Ric and Sonny are talking about Drew. Some guy named Vito comes in and Sonny talks to him alone on the patio. Sonny wants Vito to take a message to a prisoner in Pentonville. He wants Sidwell looked after. He knows people in there. Ric says don't worry about Sidwell, worry about Drew.

Ava storms into Sonny's because the school told her he's taking Avery out for a couple of days and didn't ask her. She's pissed.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Brown Dog has Jordan and ADA talking. Jordan says it's not a big deal about Brook lyn not being charged she really didn't even DO ANYTHING. Why the HELL didn't she feel like that with Isaiah then? AHAHAHA. They talk about nothing really. ADA says she's running for DA.

Sonny and Jason are talking at another table and Britt walks in. AWKWARD. Jason and her stare at each other. She leaves. Sonny's like: Um, she's not happy. Jason says he can't give her what she needs even if he is outta the biz. Sonny keeps staring over at ADA. Then back at Jason. Then back at ADA.

Danny is still mucking out the horse stalls. Tracey tells him he's not done and he's in bigger trouble than he thinks. Taking the Shelby was a bad move. He said it was the only car he could hotwire. Tracey tells Danny to ask Jason what he was going to do when he was his age (doctor)

Scout is sad she has to lie about Rocco. Rocco says maybe they shouldn't lie and wants to tell Drew they are "hanging out". Scout doesn't want to because he's close to Danny and also who his grandpa is. They kiss... get all giggly. Rocco finally gets the text about dinner.

Lulu and Dante wait for Rocco at The Metro Patio.Rocco's late. So they talk about Dante doing yoga. He drops that Liz took him. Then Carly walks up..is really uncomfortable talking to Lulu about Charlotte going to the opera. She leaves fast. Dante texts Rocco to get his ass to dinner.

Carly talks to Molly about helping her with Charlotte. HUH? YEP. Carly doesn't want Scout to tell Drew what Charlotte did. They are not sure they should do that. Then they think they should.

Charlotte tells Val it was just a prank to be in Drew's car. Carly's like: Tell the truth, or I WILL. She says Danny didn't want her to do it. She hid to set Drew up. Carly gives them some space. Char says :Well, I'll do better next time AHHAHA. Valentin blows up. Tries to scare her about what could have happened. Reminds her of all the crap she's pulled. He wants her phone and she can't see Danny anymore.

Yoga with Emma, Anna and Felicia. Britt comes in : Don't shoot. Ha ha. Emma's mad, says her Mother has PTSD. Emma goes to get water. Tells Emma to cool it until she's in the woods with a gun in HER head. Then Anna wants to talk to Britt alone. She apologizes and wants another chance. Britt accepts. Says she didn't tell anyone she knew where Anna was. They call it even.

Molly goes to the Surf Shop and tells Scout it's best if she didn't tell her Dad about what Charlotte did.

Jason leaves to go talk to Danny. Sonny gets up and leaves. Jordan gets a text ... leaves...then ADA leaves.

WELL I got in at 2:40!! SO I'm here for a part of the show!

Jason is at Anna's when Baines comes in. Baines says she's a special case and not an agent at the time. They vetted her psyche lady and she's ok. Anna signed an NDA to stay in Port Charles. She can't talk about her time in captivity. She was happy to sign.

Isaiah is for some reason consoling and chatting with Britt about her captivity. Britt is glad he believes her.

Danny is sad about Rocco not liking him much and Cody is going to give him wise thoughts. HE says to just ignore Drew and do the right thing. Then people like Tracey and Alexis will go to bat for him.

Rocco and Scout talk about how badly Charlotte behaved. Scout is pissed Danny knew about it. She doesn't think her father deserves anything.

I honestly don't know how I'm going to do the blog for this week. After the Friday announcement of yet ANOTHER character coming in, part of me just wanted to drop it. Part of me still does. Hard to be objective when I'm feeling so down on things.

GH has it's awesome, wonderful and almost perfect moments. We all know that. We also know the principal actors are magnificent. Trying to stay the course for that brief and fleeting day or two (sometimes three) is getting harder and harder.

BUT! Here we are. I watched the whole week and can let you know what happened. Sit back and let's go:

DEJA VU: Brook Lyn and Chase did the same exact dance they've been doing since day one. Actually, Brook has been doing the guilty "please forgive me" routine since she faked her pregnancy way back when. For now, Chase trying to figure out if he should stay or go. Doesn't look great for Brook. Doesn't look great for us. Having to sit through one more scene of her groveling and him saying "you lied" is just too much. Do I care about Phoebe and who gets what custody? Nah. See: every single kid ever born on this show. We know the drill.

DEJA VU TWO: Anna's doing the same thing since she shot Charlotte. Upset by her psyche and trying to find her way back to normalcy. Same. Will Valentin be there for her? Will Britta succeed in destroying her? Will she sit in her apartment and end up talking to boring Tristan for weeks? Meh.

DEJA VU THREE: Sonny and Tracey are talking about Gio AGAIN. For some reason Tracey thinks Sonny can change Gio's mind. First it was to get Gio to accept Brook Lyn and Dante and now it's back to Brook Lyn again. Okay. Thanks. You know the only good thing about this: Jane Elliot.

DEJA VU FOUR: Sonny and Justine have their routine now. Meet in that studio apartment above Charlie's and... talk about him being a "Former" mobster and OMG how it could affect her career and OMG let's keep us a secret. It's not even fun or sexy. That photo is from July. That's how much movement we've had.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT: Nina's busted for something she didn't do. Drew set her up and Ava's going to have to keep a secret in order to protect her hold on her daughter. You know, the one we never see. Other than Nina's drama in the PCPD, it was pretty flat. I guess Cynthia is gone for awhile. Maybe she's joining Genie for cocktails somewhere in Maine.

CORN: Carly wants Joss out of the WSB. Emma hates Joss. Joss is committed to the agency and is supposedly doing the job of running a billion dollar corporation with the help of one guy. She sure can run all over town and not worry about stock options. THIS PHOTO WAS ON TWITTER and made my week!! ahahahaaha. OMG.

A SIMPLE PLAN: Charlotte. What in THE WORLD is she doing? I mean, I get having a story where she sets Drew up but HIDING IN A WHEEL WELL and having a phone -- pointed to the windshield and... I .. can't. They should have done some AI deep fake that was then found out. Of course, it IS 2026 and not 1986 and we can't have teens doing what WE used to do. Given her heritage, Charlotte should be devious enough to come up with a better plan than whatever THIS is going to be. Also, I'll say it; BB doesn't have the acting chops to pull this off.

TRIANGLE: Liz and Dante-- don't even know. I suppose we're setting up the Ric/Liz/Dante waltz but so far it's been about making Liz Dante's sounding board. Softball and now Yoga. Can pickleball be far behind?

THE HORSE HOUSE: Cody and Molly. They used to be cute. My biggest excitement this week was trying to figure out how Danny and Char weren't hearing them upstairs. I guess Comet was too loud and drowned out the noises.

No point: Serena. Hudson. Tristan. Simon...Quinn...Kai... and I'd put Joe in there but I like Lucas so I'll give him a pass.

OH. Wait... hold up. See, there was a stalker story started. Riveting Pintrest board and shaky cam. It's been years since we've seen anything about it. I do NOT UNDERSTAND how this can happen. Seriously. Was it like--hey! Great idea. Nope. Well, maybe-- let's try it. Ok.. hold up! Ok, start it.. no stop.

NEWS:

ONE NEWBIE: Yes, If Diane isn't going to be on and we lost Marco, we do need another lawyer. So...here's hoping. Bonus points if she's a Ward.

TWO NEWBIE: I was SURE this was a NuFace Jerry Jacks but he's way too young. I don't even think GH would do that. His name does start with a "J" but--??????? Having rando number 12 doesn't bode well.

I'm finally not working at a JOB JOB daily and oh the irony. I have so much time to give this show! I'm not a writer or a producer so maybe I'm missing something. Is it way too much to ask for a cohesive, flowing story with a beginning, middle and ending told in a reasonable timeframe? Why do I have to wait weeks to see characters show up again? Also see: We are back to 2-3 characters per scene narrating. Oh for the days of families and the brownstone!

There have been 9 new characters introduced since January of this year. Two recasts. Just letting you know that.

Thank you for reading and sitting through this. I will continue to recap daily because that's what I do. Thx to David, Sloan and Sonya. Thx to all that take the time to comment even when you don't like what I have to say.

YEP Another One- Friday

SO, here we go. I'm speculating it's Jerry Jack with a new face. He comes in October. We know he'll be tied to JJE and Hudson.

Such a gorgeous day here. High 70s, no humidity and blue skies. Unexpected too. My headache is gone!! WHOOT!

TODAY'S SHOW:

Ric tells Willow her mother is being held by the WSB. Willow's upset. "she's not a murderer"! Ric wonders if Nina is covering something up for Willow. Willow says she's had limited contact with Jack. Then he finally tells her Nina's already been sent to Steinmaur.

Elizabeth goes into the PCPD and drags Dante away from some WSB agent because he's arguing with him. He tells her he's on edge because of Anna. He explains becoming the commish again. This is basically narrative. She says he does too much. Has an idea to help him. She takes him to yoga.

Joe and Molly are in the yoga gym thing. Joe says he gave his guest pass to Lucas. They tell Molly they are in the same apartment but fall all over each other to explain why. Later Molly says Lucas should thank Lucy Coe for bringing them together. He's like WE are NOT!

Jordan is waiting in the metro for someone. Oh, it's Drew. He wants to say sorry for Brook Lyn. He says the Qs are liars. They talk about the Qs. Boring. He wants to repair his relationship with Curtis and Jordan.

Lulu is meeting with Valentin because he lets Charlotte "run wild". She mentions the accident with Chases' truck and Olivia told her. NOT HIM. He promises to keep her in the loop. They talk about Char growing up.

Danny is looking for Charlotte in the horse house. She's not there. He texts her. Tries to call her. Then tries to call Drew. Texts her NOT TO DO IT.

Drew parks his car somewhere outside. Gives a valet the key. Charlotte is peaking around the corner. So she goes to the valet booth, grabs Drew's key--Opens the door. Then when the valet leaves again she sets her phone up on a ledge and films herself getting into Drew's car. She hides in the passenger wheel well...crouches down. Flashes back to telling Danny she'll get incriminating footage of herself with Val and they can blackmail him. She is going to jump up and put her arms around him. Then say she'll release it to social media unless he lets Danny see Scout.

Ok, so if you haven't seen it, scroll down a post and look at the newbie that's coming.
Also today we walked our fave memorial garden around here and it's also a bird preserve area. ALL the songbirds were gone. I heard crows and Blue Jays. Cardinals once and awhile. Everything else? Vamoose! Tying into Serena's MIGRATION story. Just thought you'd like that.

Also, not sure I'll make it the entire hour today. I'm not feeling great and GH has been zzzz.

BTW, watching S3 of Silo (only on Ep5) and IT'S SO GOOD. Such a good series. (Apple)

TODAY'S SHOW:

Carly and Joss eating breakfast by Moss. Carly hopes Joss doesn't feel guilty about turning Anna in. yada yada...Carly also says she doesn't think Joss is JUST working for her father's company. Jack told her and Valentin that she was doing it for the WSB. Then she says she incriminated Nina for Jack's disappearance. They talk about Nina and the WSB. blah blah blah

Lucy and Brook eat at the Metro restaurant. Brook is pissed Lucy told Chase the truth. Lucy says he's a good detective. Now Brook wants her shares back. Lucy says nope. Serena walks up. Brook tells her her mother is a liar. Brook leaves. Serena wants to know what happened. Lucy says she just needs her to get Michael's shares of Deception. Michael comes over to talk to them both.

Michael and Jordan at Aurora. He says she's doing a good job. He thought she'd be mad at him about Brook Lyn and that he knew. She says no. Then Brook comes in and wants to talk to Jordan. She apologizes. Jordan says it's her fault they got in an accident.

Trina and Curtis at the jail. Trina's mad at Brook Lyn. Curtis says it's his fault he's in there. They are mad Brook didn't come forward when she could have. Trina thinks her singing career is because of Brook's guilt. She fired Brook. Curtis says don't punish herself over him. She's so talented.

Nina's upset that she can't see a lawyer yet. Baines says well, that's because you're in WSB custody. Ric is outside trying to get in there and asks Dante to talk to the agent. Baines tells Ric he can go in. Then he shows Nina the wallet they found in her car. She's like: WHAT HUH? Baines tells her he can take her away at any time... even without a body. She talks to Ric alone. She says she's being framed. Then Baines comes in, arrests her for threatening a WSB agent in the line of duty-- and as a suspect in his murder. She's being extradited.

Drew tells Ava about Nina drugging him. She is like: HUH? He also says she tried to kill him, that's why he put Brennan's wallet in her car. Ava's mad. Leaves.

STUPID ADA and Sonny Love Nest junk. He wants to know what's happening with Nina. She says she can't tell him because it's the WSB running it all. He doesn't want her help. She says she can't go on vacation with him. Not now NOT EVER.

ADA says Robert is stepping down and she wants to run for DA office.

They drag Nina away in handcuffs and Ava watches.

Soap Opera Digest Blythe Howard has been cast as attorney Monet (no last name yet) that is set to join Alexis and Diane's firm. Look for her next Wednesday Sept 23rd.

Look, I'm all for diversifying the cast more, especially given the spate of newbies we've had this year but.. ANOTHER ONE? I.. just... need to sit down. Guys, I can't remember or keep straight the character names WE HAVE NOW!!

I guess we DO need another lawyer on the show so... here we go. Hope she's a great actress!

IT's my boy's birthday and nothing humbles you more than thinking about how OLD THEY ARE-- OY!! He was born at 3:58pm which back then was right when GH ended. HA HA. Not that I was watching but I thought it fitting.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Ava goes to Drew's house. She wants him to search for ticks. Pretty fun dialog. She says what if someone else gets one in that nature preserve and they realize she's lying. If she goes down, so does he. Drew thinks about planting Brennan's wallet in Nina's car.

Scout is at the Q barn talking to Danny. She tells him she told her Dad she was with him instead of where she was. He asks where. She says PCU party. Charlotte walks in. Scout says: YEAH, I was just checking it out. She leaves. Charlotte doesn't believe her. Thinks Scout has a secret boyfriend.

Nina calls Ric at the Metro to help her if she needs legal stuff. Sonny walks by. She says it's all Carly's fault she's in this mess. Sonny says he doesn't think Carly would lie about it. She says she exaggerated a fight. Then she says she's meeting Ava. He says UGH.. she thought they got along now. He's like NOPE. Nina asks who he's meeting. Tracey walks in.

Ava and Nina talk. Nina tells her she's been questioned in Jack's disappearance. Then Agent Baines walks in and stops at their table. Nina introduces him.

Tracey and Sonny talk about Brook and the accident. She wants help getting Gio to not be mad at Brook Lyn. This is.. OMG really? Tracey wants Sonny to tell Gio to forgive his mother.

Carly is at Anna's. She just wanted to check on her. Didn't know Val would be there. She leaves. Anna tells Valentin to go after her. He's going to stay until Felicia gets there. Anna says to tell Carly that he's done looking out for her. She says he's different now that he's with Carly and she likes that for him. Felicia comes in. Anna and her talk about her trauma.

Carly goes home and chugs wine. Thinks about Valentin and her drinking wine together. Valentin walks in. They talk about Anna needing him. Carly says she hates the WSB and that Joss is all up in this too.

Chase goes to the Q's, is packing up his stuff. Brook is upset. He picks Phoebe up. She's like we can work this out. He says he just wants to put Phoebe down in the nursery HIMSELF. He then tells her he went to Alexis about a divorce.

Looks like people read the Jerry Jacks post from yesterday!! I'm still floundering a bit with all the newbies on GH--I forget about characters all the time. Yesterday was all: OMG, Serena, that's right. LOL

TODAY'S SHOW:

Molly and Cody talk about Scout and Drew. Outback talk--about escaping and such. Molly thinks Drew will find out Scout is lying about things and she'll have a price to pay. They keep talking and end up kissing.

Carly and Jason playing pool at The Brown Dog. Carly wins. Jason's sad. They talk about relationships. Then about Brennan disappearing. She doesn't want Val blamed.

Emma talks to Anna and wants to help. Anna says she wants Emma not to worry about her. Emma says she's shutting her out. Anna wants Emma to live her own life.

Chase talks to Alexis about a possible divorce. Will it affect the adoption? She says no, it's all done and all they'll have to do is figure out custody. He wants 50/50. She says she can't represent him because she did the adoption. Also, he should try to avoid family court. It's a mess.

Tracey and Brook talk about Brook's marriage. Tracey says if Brook wants to save it, she's on board. Brook is SURE Chase will forgive her. She's done worse, right?

At the Metro Patio: Nina, Willow, Britt and Dr O having lunch--Val wants to talk to Nina. He tells her to lawyer up since Baines talked to her. He leaves, Britt runs after him.

In the hall, Britt tells Valentin about Anna trying to kill her and she's out of control. Val can't believe it.. Britt says she's not going to press charges but someone better talk to her. Val is concerned.

Later, Britt comes back to the table and tells everyone she broke up with Jason. Dr O is like: Oh you'll get back together. Then she tells Willow to use her office to get the WSB to lay off Nina. Willow is like I Can't DO THAT! Then when she sees Chase leaving from his talk with Alexis, she runs after him.

Valentin goes to Anna's. She wants to talk to him so Emma leaves in a huff. He says "I talked to Britt---I know". Anna tells him everything. He says "you know Peter is dead, right'? She says she lied to fool everyone, just like she was trained to do. Good talk about the WSB and her maybe going away to their facility to get well. He says he will TAKE HER AWAY!! She's like you just got your life back. He doesn't care. She breaks down and sobs because she's not sure what she's capable of anymore. They embrace. Good Scenes.

Joss is talking to Baines about Nina and Jack Brennan's relationship. Baines is pruning a bonsai tree. Must be his 'thing'. Joss tells him the gossip about Jack and Carly then Jack and Nina. She thinks that Anna is lucid now and should stay in PC for treatment and be close to Emma. She leaves.

Back at the Brown Dog, Emma walks in to thank Jason for helping Anna. Then Joss comes in and tells her what she told Baines. Emma says You bitch! OMG EPIC TAKE DOWN BY EMMA! She calls Joss entitled and still the girl that cheated on Cameron hahhaha! Tells Carly that SHE should know what it's like to be in a straight jacket and being exploited. Then she leaves. Joss says she was right about most things. Carly tries to talk to her and Joss is like: I can't talk to you!! Carly leaves. With her blazer btw. Joss tells Jason that it was Anna's choice for her to go to the WSB.

Recast Roulette - Jerry Jax Edition

So here you go: BONUS MATERIAL! Enjoy. Today's recap blog is one down from this.

Sebastian Roche as Jerry Jax

You may have heard that Steve Burton blurted out that there has been a recast on the show. The actor is already taping, as Steve had some scenes with him. Speculation is that it is either Jasper Jax or Jerry. Many people are leaning towards Jerry, because everyone seems to think that Hudson is Jerry's son. Another big clue is that the actor has been on more than one prime time show and is well-known in the industry.

Before the reveal leaks, we decided to take a stab and come up with some ideas as to who it could be.

Bryan Cranston

Bryan is a soap native. I remember seeing him on episode 1 of Loving. If this is just a short gig, for a few months, I can see him returning to his roots and play around with this character for a little bit. But I couldn't see him long term.

Grant Show

He was on Melrose Place and Dynasty 2. He could actually pass as Hudson's father. He was on those shows for several years, so it would seem like he could make a long-term commitment to this one. Plus, he would probably bring a fan base.

Christopher Meloni

We know his track record. His recent prime-time show just ended. Like Bryan, I don't think I can see him as a permanent replacement, but for 6mos to a year, he can really bring some excitement to the show.

Bradley Whitford

Very, very long credits in Prime Time and also a multiple Emmy winner. He would bring some serious star power to the show.

James Spader

This would be a wild card. He was on the Practice and Boston Legal. He could definitely come on board as a villain.

(Dave) I see Grant Show for the reasons I mentioned above. He would bring a different personality to the character and take him in another direction like Charles Shaughnessey did. Also, he would make a long-term commitment.

(Karen) While I applaud David for coming up with these great ideas, I'm SUCH a Sebastian Roche fan there's no way I can endorse anyone but him. SORRY!! I say if you're going to have Jerry Jacks, it's him or NO ONE.

Ok, I'm going to relent and say Bradley Whitford is an inspired choice! I'd love to see him tackle that role.

And if it isn't Jerry Jax that is being recast and it is Jasper (Joss' dad) I have the perfect person for that role.

Barn Dinner

MONDAY?

MONDAY? Where did the weekend go! I swear time is just fluid lately lol. NOT on GH however. Time is either fleeting or one day lasts 2 weeks.

TODAY'S SHOW:

Serena is at the barn. Cody is home. She brought in Outback who she found. Serena was "night bird watching" the migration and found Outback in the reserve . Cody wonders why the Qs weren't watching her. Felicia and Mac come in! YEAH! They are going to have dinner together. Everyone talks about how much Dominique would like this.

Hudson goes to visit Carly at her office in the Metro. Joss wants him to rent an office for her. He says she makes him do the grunt work. He wants her to get someone from corporate to do that and fly them in from Australia. Carly's like: not a great idea. She says he's the one that talked her into staying. She has a request to stay between the two of them. She wants him to stay with the company. They go to look at the office space.

Anna's at GH and upset-- she wants to talk to Tristan about the WSB. She is seeing a civilian therapist and is afraid the WSB will find out she has PTSD and make her go away to one of their hospitals. She doesn't want to go and wants him to consult with the case to help her stay in PC. I don't know--makes no sense but go with it. Tristan listens to her heart and says she's now his patient so he can help her as much as she needs and he can't tell the WSB.

Joss goes to see Anna who's not home. She asks Emma if she can wait. She walks in and Emma's like Um, you can go. They start to argue. Emma grabs Joss. Anna walks in. Sends Emma to the shop for tea. Emma's not happy. Joss says she heard from Britt what happened and now needs to hear from her. Anna tells her about it all. Joss says finding Anna's note in the room helped her survive. She understands Anna went through something horrible. Anna says BUT WSB protocol says you have to turn me in. You must do this. Joss says she's not even really WITH them right now and there's a lot of gray area. Anna says that she knows what it means to be an agent and if she's making excuses, maybe she shouldn't BE an agent. Whatever Joss decides, she'll understand.

Britt and Jason are arguing about Anna. He's like you didn't even SAY anything when she was being held captive, now you can make it up to her. Britt says Anna was moved before she even knew about her. Jason DOESN'T BELIEVE HER! OH MYYYYYYY. Britt is like @@!!! She says you love me, you're supposed to believe me and he's like: Sorry but I don't. Welp that's that. Jason says he can't be her witness if she turns Anna in. Britt asks if Anna had shot her and he found her over her body, would he cover for her? They decide to break up.

Two seconds later, Jason and Carly are in the elevator talking about the break up. Carly acts sad for Jason. You loved her--he says he loves her but not enough. They are going to the Brown Dog to play pool.

Alexis and Molly talking about Scout and her phone and Drew. Then Scout comes over to have a seat. They have dessert. Scout says not to tell her Dad she was there. Alexis is like: NOPE Not telling him a thing. Scout leaves. Molly is like: Drew will be mad. Alexis says: LET HIM

Nina and New WSB Guy Baines. He questions her about Brennan. She asks if he sent Jack on assignment. Where is he? He says Carly reported her threatening Jack and a lot of people witnessed it. She says they are romantic and had a fight...no biggie. BUT she can't find him now. Baines says he was last at the Metro and no one has heard from him in 3 days. She says she was working alone in her office that night. He says IN this building right? She says yep, and I won't way anything else without a lawyer.

Hudson calls mystery man and says everything is going according to plan.

Sunday Surgery: Ode To Anna

I came to my Dad's on Friday so this will be a very short SS for me. I think I've paid my dues over the years- this is the 6902nd post since I started. EESH!!

This week was a whopper on Monday and then wound down slowly through the week. Thursday's show flew by which is the sign of great dialog and movement. My focus is on FINOLA HUGHES because Anna just stole the entire show. Amazing. Simply amazing. It's not like we really liked or wanted the Phantom Peter story but she played the hell out of it. The conclusion in the woods was a masterclass in all things drama.

In real life, Finola teaches "Performance for Camera" at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Here she is on Kelly and Mark discussing her class:

We've all watched her throughout the years and us olders know how the character of Anna has evolved. Finola has mastered even the most subtle emotions. She never EVER phones anything in, that's for sure.

The biggest issue is that there has never been a costar that's good enough for an Anna Romance. Duke and Robert were perfection. Not sure there ever could be again. I'm fine with that. The huge bright light is Emma, her granddaughter. Braedyn is such a great casting choice and if I can't have Robin, I'll take her.

Ok on with the show!!

Anna shoots Peter to rid herself of his manifestation. She and Jason talk in the woods. Good scene with Emma. Glad she has a new therapist. Maybe that lady will be recurring. BTW, TRISTAN could have been a psychiatrist, right? At least he'd be of some use.

Britt's big ol' mad at Anna...Trina's big ol' mad at Brook. Chase fled the Q house and went to Willow's. He did NOT spend the night however, but Hudson saw him leaving the place.
Ava's tick was a Lone Star. She needs meds and made up a story about petting a dog outside of her Art Gallery so she didn't have to disclose the pit where Brennan's body is decaying.

Rocco and Scout kissed. I think Jordy/Curtis and or Isaiah will sue Brook Lyn in Civil Court.

Carly points Baines in the direction of Nina for Brennan's death, playing right into Drew's plan.

Ned showed up. Highlight for sure. I wish they'd pay Wally enough to leave Days.

That's it!! You didn't even have time to finish your coffee did you?!! I would like to write what I'd like to see happen but dang, the show is just flopping around so much at the moment, I can't even order anything in my head to make a story!!

One funny thing: When Chase went to the PCPD to tell Joe about the accident I didn't even remember he was on the show!! Geesh!! It took me 2 seconds-- and then I was like: OMG he's living with Lucas!
